Ginpotter 01-31-2006 09:37 AM

wickedweasley 01-31-2006 11:44 AM

I've read four. I'm absolutely thrilled to see a Beatrix Potter book up there! Those books are brilliant.

Beav42 01-31-2006 11:45 AM

I havent read any of them. eek. Ive heard of most of them. I usually dont read many popular books though.

babydriver27 01-31-2006 12:15 PM

I've managed to read six of them and I absolutely adore Catch-22.

valera 01-31-2006 01:07 PM

Wow that's quite spooky. I've JUST finished David Copperfield by Charles Dickens and am about to start on Twelfth Night and Hamlet by Bill Shakespeare! Cool! Brilliant minds think alike I guess *gets slapped across the face by modesty* Ermm sorry....LOL :lmao:

I was actually looking for some good reads. Wicked! :glomp:

dannylover 01-31-2006 01:13 PM

Imagine that. I've read almost all of them!

Lady_Jezz 01-31-2006 01:31 PM

There is some very heavy stuff in there...no offense, but reading the originale Hamlet...Kenneth Brannagh's film version was already difficult with the old english...and i'm supposed to be able to read it?! Don't think so...

HPrulez... 01-31-2006 02:41 PM

I have read a few of the books...

griffin_girl 01-31-2006 02:50 PM

The bolds are the one's I've read. Roald Dahl I hardly remember. The other two I didn't like and I don't plan on reading the others. I'm not too big of fan of classics.

Tao 01-31-2006 03:58 PM

Heh! For some reason I find the whole Catcher In The Rye thing hysterical. Just because there is that, I guess urban legend that serial killers read that book. I've read parts of it though... haven't had any serial killer tendencies. LOL

But I absolutely ADORE To Kill A Mocking Bird. I read it in 10th grade and have loved it ever since.

The rest I've either read parts of, saw the movie, or have heard of. After I'm finished re-reading "The Da Vinci Code" (illustrated version) I might check out these recommendations.

Wayfarer 01-31-2006 05:16 PM

I know I've read nine of them and I might have read the other one but I don't remember it. The Beatrice Potter book doesn't stir a memory but the other books I've had to read for classes. On average I read 15 to 20 books a month. Currently I am reading a Civil War novel written by former US President Jimmy Carter.

Dumbledore 01-31-2006 05:20 PM

Does it count if I've seen the movies to nearly all of those? Hehe.

Nabs 01-31-2006 05:29 PM

I've read 6 of the books in that list :D

chocolate_chick_00 01-31-2006 05:34 PM

I have only read 4 of those…. Though I should read the rest they are classics. It would have been only 3 a week ago though because Tina told me to read To Kill a Mockingbird…. So that’s good….. *Runs to Library*

serious sirius 01-31-2006 05:55 PM

i haven't read robinson crusoe, catch or the Catcher in the Rye never even heard of the catcher in the rye

Man... I wish I had actually gotten to read books in school! From 4th grade onto 7th grade, I was in a private school that didn't read any good litature, and was only in 10th grade that I read anything good (To Kill A Mocking Bird) simply because I thought "Lord of the Flies" was an extremely boring book. It's only now that I'm out of school that I've had a chance to read really good books, but I don't always have the chance... But I definitely need to take the time to do it.
