Actor Bill Nighy (
Love Actually,
Pirates of the Caribbean) has
confirmed that he will play a good guy in the
Deathly Hallows films, although he will not reveal the name of his character. Bill had this to say:

"I don't think I'm allowed to say it but I'm going to be in the next Harry Potter film," he tells us. "I won't say which character, but he's a goodie. I just got the gig."
He has admitted that he has not read the books yet, though:

"Not yet, but I will!" he says. "It's rather like being in a Shakespeare that way, you know?"
David Yates said two years ago that he first
wanted Bill for the role of Minister of Magic Rufus Scrimgeour in
Half-Blood Prince, but the part was cut from the final draft of the script. However, there is no proof at the moment that Bill may have been cast as the Minister. We will have more on this as the story develops.
