| | |  Australian OotP release date brought forward
In April it was confirmed that ' Order of the Phoenix' would release in Australia on September 6th 2007. The date has now been brought forward to July 12th 2007, according to Roadshow, the Australian distributor.
Additionally the movie will open in Spain on July 20th 2007.
The following is an updated list of ALL the release dates that have been announced so far; Quote:
July 11th 2007: France
July 12th 2007: Argentina, Germany, Australia
July 13th 2007: UK, US, Ireland, Canada, Norway
July 19th 2007: Hungary
July 20th 2007: Bulgaria, Spain

lol, I agree. It's normally the country of its origin that gets it first, but I remember one movie (maybe it was an earlier HP) where a smaller South American country (I think) got it dayyyys before the rest of us, and I was like 'Huh?' lol. But the people who make the decisions know what they're doing, I guess! 
Congrats to the Australian fans, but oh how I wish that said "American OotP release date," though!  I'm going to have such a big HP buzz next year, it's not even funny. I can't wait!! | |

Because other countries release films on different days. In the UK, movies open on Fridays, normally but as it's not the same everywhere, release dates will differ slightly.

Oooh, cool for the Aussies!
Hmm. The movie is primarily comprised of British actors and locations, yet France, Argentina, Germany, Australia get to see ig first. Now, I have nothing against the French, Argentinians, Germans, or Australians, but why do they get to see it before the people in the United Kingdom (I myself live in the USA, but still)? I guess it must be a TimeZone thing?
