| | |  Alternative titles for Book 7? UPDATED
Harry Latino.com is reporting that Deathly Hallows was registered with the U.K. Patent Office on Dec. 5, along with Deadly Veil and Heart of Ravenclaw. It is possible that these are the other two alternative titles J.K. Rowling was considering for Book 7.
Just as a side note, the patent site also lists the titles of Harry Potter and the Hallows of Hogwarts and Harry Potter and the Hogwarts Hallows which were submitted back in July of 2003 (both these titles were withdrawn, however).
Also of note, the Dutch title for Book 7 is Harry Potter en het Fatale Heiligdom, which means Harry Potter and the Deadly Shrine/Sanctuary.
So what does all this mean? Could the veil or the Ravenclaw Common Room be horcrux hiding places? Is there a deathly shrine somewhere in Hogwarts castle? Let the speculations and theories begin …
Source: TheSnitch UPDATE: A spokesperson for J.K. Rowling has stated that both Heart of Ravenclaw and Deadly Veil were “never contenders” for the title of Book 7. Quote:

this is all so exciting! I do like the one JKR chose, but I wonder if she'll make the other ones titles of chapters. probably not since she was considering them titles of the book, but that would still be fun.

I like the title Heart of Ravenclaw. It has a lot of mystery behind it. The others do too, but I think they're a little plain. Although I would be happy with whatever titles she choices, since none of them are bad.

Some of those titles are really catchy. I really like Final Curse and Revenge of Dumbledore. I'm a little sad that Heart of Ravenclaw isn't it option. I think it's a nice title, but if it doesn't have much to do with the book, then I can understand why they aren't using it.

I like the one she chose and a few of the other ones where pretty snazzy but then a few where most certainly there just to confuses us and some - like the revenge of dumbledor- is just so star wars! My christmas wish was for a release date but I guess santa didnt get that letter in time!!!
