Alfonso Cuaron wins 2 Oscars for Directing, Editing 'Gravity', Emma Watson presenting
AMPAS finally released videos from the 2014 Academy Awards, where Alfonso Cuaron won Best Director and Achievement in Editing for Gravity, and Harry Potter actress along with Joseph-Gordon Levitt presented Achievement in Visual Effects (also to Gravity). To those who missed the Oscars two weeks ago, those highlights can be found on their page here; and videos below.
Congrats Alfonso! It's about time a Harry Potter director won at the Oscars. I would hold my breath every time a Harry Potter movie got nominated for something, but sadly the Academy Award snobs never voted for them - though they were clearly the better picture. Did you know that Hugo actually beat Deathly Hallows part 2?? It's incredible.
Well I didn't mean to rant. So congrats again Cauron, you deserve it. And you never know. Maybe Fantastical Beasts can get nominated whenever it comes out.
