| | Alan Rickman as #19 God - Empire's "Gods among us" voting Summary:
Empire's "Gods among us" voting has Alan Rickman as #19 God Article:
Empire's "Gods among us" voting has now published its results which shows that Alan Rickman (aka Professor Severus Snape) is in as #19 God.
Empire's voting was about following:
They "asked readers to vote for the Gods Among Us, the actors who have stolen scenes, chewed on scenery and generally defined cinema over the last few decades. We set a few conditions - they must be over fifty and they must still be working, so no spring chickens or retirees..."
And this is what they have said about Rickman: Quote:
Iconic Image:
Manic, hair flying as the Sheriff of Nottingham offering to cut your heart out with a spoon.
Measure of Greatness:
Rickman has made a trademark of witty, ascerbic and slightly self-loathing characters, preferably of the bad guy persuasion, with occasional forays into comedy. An accomplished scene-stealer, he's currently scaring the kiddies as Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films, a role that's destined to grow as the films continue. Go here to see the results.
The voting, however, is not finished yet: Quote: The top five, in no particular order, will be profiled in Empire over the next five months, starting with Al Pacino. Once all five have appeared, you will again be asked to vote, this time for your Zeus / Odin / Ra - the Principal Deity, in other words. Empire |

We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back. |

Alan is an amazing actor, I loved him as the Sheriff of Nottingham.
He has graced our screens for so long and I hope he continues to do so, I must say now though, that since he has been Professor Snape I really think he has hit another career high right now, and I thought he was Brilliant in Love Actually too.
Hold on tight to this rollercoaster Alan, because you deserve it sweetypie!
