* A New Director For Each Potter Film - Says David Heyman Summary:
In the London Press Conference, Producer David Heyman said there will be a new Director for each of the remaining Harry Potter Films. Article:
"It creates more excitement!" He says.
He also said that they hope to use the same cast for the remaining films.
I only post this because I have seen a lot of people posting that they hope Alfonso comes back and does another one.
For himself, Alfonso has stated that he would love to come back for a future Harry Potter film if they had the same cast, but it doesn't look like they will be asking him to. Quote: Q: If they maybe asked you to direct a future Harry Potter, would you?
AC: I would love to and if they still have the same cast, than more than anything else. I just so much enjoyed working with these guys. |

I'm sure many others must have noticed. It's almost like the Defence Against the Dark Arts post - each book has a different teacher. I'm not exactly suggesting that Cuaron is a werewolf. Just that I like this film the best so far!
Seriously. I think it is a great idea - we'll be able to expect something new, something different with each movie, which will really make them more exciting to watch. I mean, if most of the people who're watching the movie have already read the books, it's better to have little changes in styles and approaches each time round, so that it doesn't become boring... hope you get what I mean :/

Well, this will add variety to the character of the films. :sorcerer: To be honest with you, I would like to see Peter Jackson to direct one of the films. But I wonder, after spending so much time wirh The Lord of Rings, is there any danger to mix up these two. Actually I think it would be funny. |

Kloves is said to have a "tough decision" between directing his own screenplay and writing the script for OoP so let's pray he leaves and does his own project leaving someone to pick up the pieces of books that Kloves has partly destroyed aka Ron.
I'd like to see maybe a collaboration between Kenneth Branagh (after all he was interviewed for PoA directing) and Alan Rickman (He's directed "A Winter's Guest" which starred Emma Thompson and Sean Biggerstaff) in directing and Emma Thompson won a Golden Globe or BAFTA for her screenplay work on Jane Austen's "Sense and Sensibility" so perhaps she could have a go at scripting HP.

^ I agree. I hope that Kloves doesnt come back and Chris doesnt come back either. I dont like Chris' style of directing that much.

Well I think it might be interesting to have different directors for each of the films but then it might be difficult bc they all have a different view of how they want the movie and it might confusse<--(cant spell) the aduience.

Yeah, I think changing Kloves would be a good thing, you are right about Ron's character, he is slowly making him look like a total idiot - a funny idiot nonetheless but Ron is a stronger character in the books than in the movies.
I have a great idea - why don't JK Rowling write the script and then that way it will be perfect! LOL - Just kidding! But I really do feel that no-one is going to get the scripts spot on, but new blood with the screenplay is definately a good idea. Either that or Kloves makes a vast improvement by GOF - lets hope so anyway.
Other than that though, I love the movies, I have always stated that quite clearly.

"Harry... you must destroy voldemorts ring in the depths of Diagon Alley!"
Seriously, they should get Steven Spielberg or George Lucas... those movies would rule.

I really wanted Alfonso to come back, especially for film 5, 'cos book 3 & 5 are sort of connected, with Harry being angry & things. I hope so, I mean they might run out of good candidates.... |

OK like many of you...Im not that happy about Kloves, like Emma and Kelly said, Ron is being made quite a...yeah well he is a strong and brave character and I think that the scripts so far just shows him to be this guy who follows Harry around and making funny faces...-which is a shame!
So if Kloves could be send away and another could take his job I think that would be nice...-I think that a person like Emma Thompson could do quite a good job!...
And as for the new director for each movie ...I dunno...since I havent seen PoA Ill think about that...because its both good and bad...I cant wait to see how Newell is goin to do though...

It could be quite interesting with a new director for each HP film...
About the Kloves bloke...I think that they should consider asking Emma Thompson to take over...afterall she did a very good job with Sense & Sensibility!

I like the idea of having a new director for each Harry Potter film. It would bring a different twist to each movie.
However I do think Alfonso should be asked to direct the 5th movie. The 5th book is sort of dark just liken the third one and Alfonso did an excellent job with the 3rd movie.
