CBBC Newsround recently posted an article covering the sale of costumes. We reported on it previously, mentioning that Gary Oldman's gray coat from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was expected to sell at around £3,000 ... However, despite predictions, the coat pulled in a whopping £15,600 at the auction! You can read more about the coat and other costumes sold here.
Also, as a note from the Gary Oldman fan club - Gary's birthday is coming up, and to celebrate it, we've started a project to collect birthday presents themed around the 54-something movies he's acted in. The person who bid on that coat must be obsessed or insane!! As much as I love Gary, and I would pay that much for HIM, I don't think I would pay that much for his coat! Although it is a very lovely coat  At least that money went to charity and someone other than the person receiving the coat benefitted from it!
