The Hollywood Reporter
spoke to an analyst recently, who discussed the
Half-Blood Prince IMAX delay; the sixth
Harry Potter film will be seen on the larger screen in the majority of the US starting July 29th - a two week push from the original date, July 15th.
It was announced that there will be 12 minutes of 3-D footage in the IMAX version of
Half-Blood Prince:

Still, "Potter" contains 12 minutes of 3-D footage that moviegoers can experience only through Imax, so that could cushion the blow, Merriman Curhan Ford analyst Eric Wold said.
