Gringotts Main Hall & Service Counters
|
Reclaiming of the Starriver Family Vault The sound of Luther's confident strides was lost in the impressive Main Hall of the bank. With only the slightest hesitance, he walked up to one of the tellers. Throwing a last glance at Caes and Aria, he whispered "Wish me luck." Then he greeted the goblin "Good afternoon. My name is Luther Apollo Starriver." with the kind and proper smile Leo taught him. "I am here to re-open a family vault, the Starriver vault to be precise." He then readied his wand and key. He didn't want to cause any problems, especially in the authentication process. Just as he was preparing his key and wand, he felt the cold metal band of the Starriver signet ring touch his chest. Thinking 'Is there a better time for this?' he pulled the ring and slid it on his left thumb. With another sigh, he turned to the teller. |
Luther Tex, the teller, glanced in a bored manner at the boy in front of him, then turned and called out over his shoulder, "Sagni!! Another new vault!!" Then, hopping down off the high stool her said out loud to no one in particular, "Right. I'm on break." And with that, he stalked off into the inner sanctum behind the teller Sagni had just been in the middle of re-indexing the oldest group of vaults when she heard the magical tinkle of the bell that alerted her whenever a new vault holder entered Gringotts. That's just great, she thought, now I'll have to start all over again. But she jumped down from her stool and stalked off up to the teller's counters, where she passed the smug Tex, no doubt on his way to take yet another break, and found a boy wearing a very interesting silver ring (for goblins notice such things immediately) standing at the counter. "Key! Wand!" Sagni ordered curtly as she frowned down at the boy. She really hoped this one was not a dawdler. |
Moral Supporting Luther Caes did mean it when he said he would be with his friend along the way. Standing behind Luther likely with Aria as well. The little kid (in Cae's view) was only 12 so having an older person would ease some concerns. He himself was all good with the money situation though. No need for him to visit his vault at this time. Watching the exchange, did he need to turn over his wand as well? Time would tell. |
“All the best!’’ Aria called as Luther departed. She remained standing beside Caes, anxiety creeping up in her. With Luther firmly in view, she watched the teller and Sagni keenly. If either gave him the slightest difficulty… It seemed Sagni was taking charge. The girl just wanted Luther getting what was rightfully his in the easiest manner. At least he had the best sibling pair with him! |
"Thanks" whispered Luther back to Aria, slightly giggling at the look on her face. However, the terse order of the goblin startled Luther for a moment. Then as it was drilled into him, he handed the goblin his wand and his key adorned with a moon while saying with a kind smile on his face "Good afternoon," and continued pausing for a moment "Sagni, I presume. Would it be okay if my friends here, Caeson Dominic Hawkins and Aria Mae McLeod, accompanied us? They have of course my permission to do so." He tried to be as to the point as he could without getting impolite remembering the various tales Leo told him about those who were punished by the goblins for not doing so . He untied his hair while anxiously waiting for the final part of his and his family's journey back home. |

And with that, Sagni hopped down off the stool, Luther's key still clasped in her hand, and started down the wide hall between the counters toward the gateway at the end which led to the vaults. Failing to hear any footsteps behind her, she looked back over her shoulder. "Is you coming or not? Sagni does not have all day." And she proceeded onward on her way. "Follow me. Stay close." Sagni led the way through the Main hall and down to the corridor which would lead to the depths. ooc: please follow Sagni here |
Before Luther could say anything about Caes and Aria being one-time visitors, let alone them having his explicit permission, he saw that the goblin was already walking towards the corridor. He idly wondered if the goblin's attitude was caused by the Hopping Plumbees that Leo always warned him against... suspiciously whenever he did something Leo didn't like. Looking back to Caes and Aria, "Damn goblins." he muttered silently and then said "I... thank you guys for coming with me. I won't be long I promise." after pausing for a second he continued hesitantly "I hope." looking at the direction Sagni walked towards. Taking a deep breath, he walked quickly to catch up with Sagni while continuing to play with his ribbon. |
Aria was both sad and mildly annoyed that she and Caes were not being allowed to go along with Luther. She threw a glare at the goblin’s retreating figure and almost said something dirty. The only reason the girl held herself back was because she didn’t want this goblin - or any other - being nasty to Luther and giving him a difficult time with his family’s vault. “It’s not your fault. We’ll wait for you outside. Good luck, Luther!’’ Aria reached out to give him a quick squish before stretching for Caes’ arm. Once they were alone, she swore softly in annoyance. “He’d better get access to that vault or else…” Or else what? Aria didn’t know. “Shall we wait outside then? Don’t want any of the goblins scolding us for lurking.” |
new vault please :) As Charlie made her way into the hall, she couldn't help but pause for a moment and take in the breathtaking grandeur of her surroundings. The vastness of the hall had always fascinated her, even as a child, and it still held the same level of awe for her as an adult. The chandeliers, each one sparkling cast a warm glow across the marble floors, making the room seem even larger than it already was. Taking a deep breath, Charlie walked purposefully towards the counter, hoping that she would be met with a goblin who was not in one of their infamous foul moods. As she approached, she straightened her back and steadied her voice, "Hello. I would like to open a vault, please. My name is Charlotte Chen." She clutched her purse tightly to her side as if to reassure herself that it was indeed with her and not left behind at home that morning. Her key and wand were already in her hand, ready to be handed over to the goblin. Charlie was never one to be without her wand, not even for a moment. It left her feeling vulnerable and exposed, a sensation she was not particularly fond of. |
Charlie Chen Quote:
"Ah, yes, Charlotte Chen, application for new vault approved. You is having Vault number 59. Has you got your key and wand?" Why did Sagni have to ask this time after time; you would think wizards and witches would know they needed to hand over those things without being reminded over and over. |

She was eager to get to her vault and get her coins squared away. She didn't like carrying around this much, but what else was she supposed to do. At least the feather-light charm on her bag made it easier. |
Sagni inspected the little brass key and examined the wand, weighing it ightly in her hand--yes, all in order here. Nothing strange about this one--young witch, probably her first vault. Should be no problems with this one. Puahing the wand back across the counter to Charlotte but keeping the key in her hand, Sagni hopped down off the stool. "Please to be following me, Miss," she grumbled, and then started down the wide hall between the counters toward the gateway at the end which led to corridor to the vaults, not bothering to look back to see if her customer was following. ooc: please follow Sagni here |
Charlie took a deep breath and followed Sagni down the hall, trying to ignore the goblin's gruff attitude. She knew it was a common trait among goblins, but it still made her uneasy. As they walked, Charlie took in her surroundings, the ornate carvings on the walls, the dimly lit lanterns that cast an eerie glow, and the long shadows that flickered with their movement. She couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding in the air. But she pushed the feeling aside, focusing on the task at hand. She was here to access her vault and nothing more. As they approached the gateway, she couldn't help but feel a small sense of relief that they were almost there. |
