| Gringotts Wizarding Bank This goblin-run bank is one of the best in the world. Rest assured that your money and valuables will be safe here. |

| | Curse-Breaker HQ & Trading Offices
The Curse-Breaker HQ is on an upper level of Gringotts Bank. The Curse-Breakers are always busy whether home or abroad. They each have their own office space, though a few of the apprentice Curse-Breakers share an Office. Its a little lighter and brighter here compared to the rest of the building and as such many of the other witches and wizards who work at Gringotts have managed to snag offices up here too rather than in the dark marble corridors where their Goblin colleagues can be found.
This is not a public area. Official business or invitation only. OOC: OOC: While you are allowed to roleplay here, please be sure your character has official business and has entered the bank through the entrance way and main hall. It is best not to post here without your character being invited to do so.
If you have a Curse-Breaker character on the officially approved list you may RP here any time.

| Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Although Levi had been a curse-breaker for a while, he still couldn't say whether he preferred to be abroad on assignment or at home working in the office. Travelling was definitely more interesting and exciting, but that kept him away from his daughter for much too long. Little Gwen was the light of his life. But being in the office often proved to be boring and he was just not the type for paperwork, even if it meant he was home for his family more often.
And he had to make time for some necessary paperwork today, paperwork that he had been putting off till pretty much the last minute. As he was recording the inventory of artifacts and their subsequent counter-curses from his last excursion, Levi paused to look out the window near his desk. A bright, sunny day. A rare perfect summer day, or at least it looked like it from his office window. Perhaps he could message Etta later about bringing Gwen out to meet him after work so they could all get some ice cream.

Septimus hadn’t quite known what to expect when he applied for the internship at Gringotts. Granted it wasn’t the more exciting travel and field work that his father could tell about from his younger cursebreaker days. The travel he had decided to pick up again every once and a while now as he found himself a widower with his son more than old enough to be on his own. But it still was a path that Septimus had found he wasn’t bad in. Who knew what the future would hold.
On a particularly slow day for his internship tasks, he was looking around the office for something to do spotting one of the full cursebreakers. “Need any assistance,” Septimus offered. Even if it seemed to be paperwork and nothing but the paperwork at first glance. Anything would be better than nothing and maybe he’d learn something new. After all that was one of the main purposed of the internship in the first place.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Hope Archard Ravenclaw Fifth Year | Penelope Bolt, the head cursebreaker, suddenly burst through the entry carrying a large parcel on one hand and using the wand held in her other to levitate a large steaming urn ahead of her through the doorway. "Hullo, everybody!" she called out cheerfully as she proceeded onward to her desk and lowered the urn carefully down. Pulling out a wad of paper napkins out of a pocket, she set them down next to the bag, and then drew out a stack of cardboard cups from another deep pocket. "Chelsea buns and coffee, if anyone wants any," she announced as she promptly tore open the parcel, picked out a large bun with one of the napkins, and proceeded to take a large bite out of it." |

| Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Levi was normally pretty focused on his job when he was working, but the intern had caught him in a rare moment of being lost in thought. He snapped out of his reverie at the sound of the voice and looked over at the younger man nearby. "Hmm?" In his younger days, the answer probably would have been no as Levi was stubborn in his capabilities of doing things himself. But he had mellowed out a bit in the past several years and besides, he had come to realize the benefits of having interns around. They could do they boring grunt work, plus he could impart some of his vast knowledge. Something he often liked to do. "Oh, sure.." he began, sliding the paperwork towards the intern, "Septimus, isn't it?" He had at least gotten familiar with who the interns were when he was in the office. "These artifacts need filing, then cross-referenced with their counter-curses," he informed him, gesturing to the list he'd begun. And if Septimus could work on that, he could be free to check into the research for his next trip. "Let me know if you have any questions though."
Levi had just reached across his desk for his travel journal to map out his next itinerary when he heard his boss greeting everyone as she entered the room. "Ms. Bolt," he nodded to her in greeting, then looked over at her offerings. "I never say no to a good cup of coffee." Grabbing his wand, he performed a series of intricate movements, the incantations silent, and magically prepared himself a cup of coffee without having to get up from his seat. Once the urn was done filling his mug and a spot of cream was added, he levitated the mug over to his desk. Magic was a wonderful thing.

| Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Septimus was beginning to think he had seriously interrupted something when there was a delay in any response. But then it was to the positive so he could relax and nod in confirmation of his name. “Yes, that’s me,” he agreed, accepting the paperwork handed to him. At least he had that going for him, not forgotten in a sea of namelessness. “Of course…I can do that,” he remarked with another nod. Easy enough if not tedious and requiring one to be extra careful. You hardly wanted important pieces lost somewhere in the shuffle. “I will keep that in mind.” Better to be aware ahead of time whether you’d get your head bitten off for asking things or not.
About to get to it, his attention was brought to the door of the office as one head cursebreaker walked into the room in a flurry of activity. “Good day,” Septimus said, returning her greeting. “Thanks,” he added, gathering a couple of napkins and a bun to bring with him to a workstation near the artifact holding. He’d wait on the coffee when he wasn’t working over paperwork. He certainly didn’t want to risk spilling over his task, the intern taking a seat as he looked over what he had to work with.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Hope Archard Ravenclaw Fifth Year | Penelope smiled as her treats were accepted. She turned to place her half-eaten bun atop a bit of scratch paper on her desk, then picked up a sheaf of papers that were piled up in her in-box, a few of them rising up in the air to get her attention. Turning back to her co-workers she began to talk with them, alternately looking at her papers and up at whoever she was talking to. Every once in a while, she levitated a document over in her "To Do" pile; others went in the "To Be Filed" box. Now and then she muttered a spell under her breath and the offending document exploded with a brief and tiny flame, then disappeared from existence, leaving only a thin trail of smoke behind. Well, Septimus, how is the internship going, eh? Ah, they've got you doing paperwork, have they? Well, that's part of the job, too. And you never know what you'll find in there--a lot of interesting things have come to light because someone was paying attention. Let me know if you need anything, then." Poof! went another document. "Wotcher, Levi--how's that daughter of yours, then? Bet you're glad to be in the home office for a bit, so you can spend some time at home. But I know you--you can't stay here long. What do you have in the works next?" Penelope briefly looked down from Levi's face and started to sail a document over to be filed, but then stopped and looked at it for a moment longer, a small frown forming between her brows. |

| Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Levi had been fairly confident in his knowledge of the intern's name, just like he was confident in his knowledge about pretty much everything, so he simply nodded at the confirmation. And he trusted that Septimus was skilled enough in his education and training thus far to be able to handle the paperwork he had given him without any supervision, so he turned his attention momentarily to his coffee as it came levitating over. Delicious.
He leaned back in his chair, glancing over at Penelope when she asked him about his daughter, earning her a wistful smile. "Oh Gwenny's doing great. Might have Etta bring her by the Alley when I get done with work." It was a nice day that he was sure would turn into a nice evening and then maybe they could have a nice family outing.
As to where he was going next... He paused and sipped his coffee. "I need to get out to Bhutan next. Not sure when that will be though." Soon, likely.

| Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Septimus had just about finished with the first item on the list, the one Levi had started, when he heard his name, causing his attention to drift to the woman inquiring about him. “It’s going well…” At least he thought it was from his side of the situation. Surely she and the rest of the more senior cursebreakers, including the other man, would have a better idea of whether he was meeting all their requirements and wishes. “Yes, though I don’t mind,” he remarked truthfully. It still put his mind to use and got him involved in the field he was looking to continue in. It wasn’t like it wasn’t how his father had started, so he saw it as a step and not beneath him. Plus as she said, one never knew what one would find within the records that could lead to other more interesting things. "Of course," he assured her with a nod as he filed what was done and moved onto the next entry.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Hope Archard Ravenclaw Fifth Year | "Look here," Penelope said suddenly, holding out the paper she'd been reading so that Levi could see it. "It says here that the Goblet of Uluru is missing from the treasury it's been stored in for safekeeping." The silver goblet had been credited with a number of strange and unfortunate incidents from Australia to Brighton, but it was supposed to have been safe and locked away since its recovery some years ago. Penelope didn't think it was likely that the thing had just been mislaid or misfiled. Stolen would be her guess. But by whom, and for what purpose? That thing could cause a lot of trouble if it was let loose back into the world. |

| Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Levi glanced over at Septimus briefly as he worked through the paperwork, unbothered by the younger man's short answers. He was the same way when he was working - focused and not inclined for lengthy conversations.
But his own thoughts of travel to Bhutan were interrupted when Penelope spoke again. He turned to look at the newspaper she held up, his eyes falling on the headline and his brow knit in concern. "That's rather alarming," he began, his mind already working out scenarios. "Was there any more information about it?" That might at least give them a hint about the scenario they'd have to deal with.

| Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Left to his own devices, Septimus focused on the task he had been given to hand. The intern made the notes and the various categorizing that were needed before he would move to file them. He did his best to tune out the senior cursebreakers as undoubtedly what they were handling was something outside his limited purview but when a sudden exclamation was made, it grabbed his attention. Something missing?! That definitely wasn’t good…alarming as was said. He was curious as he moved onto his latest item but kept silent with one ear open.
Pay no attention to the eavesdropping intern.

"Hmm....It doesn't say much....Goblet discovered missing while doing routine maintenance...no sign of a break-in...matter under investigation..... Penelope read a bit more and looked up again. "I suppose we'd better talk to the curator at the Madhm Treasury over in Crawley and see if there are more details. Whoever took it has probably gone to ground, though--it's far too 'hot' to try to sell openly." It was too 'hot' an object to have hanging around in one's possession as far as Penelope was concerned. But it sounded interesting--and right on their own doorstep, too!" |

| Any curse-breakers out there? :D Bathes in Maple Syrup | Dancing Lobster | Mrs. Charlie Weasley | Seneca's Beard | That's So Fetch The frozen air was making her bones ache, and the relentless grey skies only seemed to deepen her mood. So when the call came for a team to break into a recently discovered tomb in Egypt, Tamara had been more than ready to trade the miserable British cold for the dry, dusty heat of the ancient ruins.
The mission had gone smoothly, or as smoothly as a raid could go. There had been a few tense moments over the past few weeks, the kind that came with crawling through dark tunnels and dodging magical traps that seemed to have a mind of their own, but in the end, they had secured a beautiful haul. But now she was back at Gringotts with the weight of the loot pressing down on her shoulders.
Tamara exhaled sharply as she stepped into the curse-breaker headquarters, her boots clicking loudly against the floor. The scent of parchment filled her nostrils, reminding her of the inevitable. The last thing she wanted to do now was sit at her desk and log every item they'd recovered, note the spells of protection, and itemize the worth. But it was a necessary evil.
She ran a hand through her dark curls, glancing out the window near her desk briefly before she reminded herself the goblins would be there soon enough like the vultures they were, eager to take their treasure away to be securely locked in some vault below the bank for 'safe-keeping.' So, without a word, she reached into her pack for a piece of loot and began the tedious paperwork process.

| One Cursebreaker here! ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Suresh couldn’t have been more pleased with the smooth job the Curebreakers had done. The team work was the best he had ever experienced during his eleven year tenure at Gringotts. Right now, he was simply happy to be back in Britain for one reason: his family. Advika, Lakshmi and Krishna were always a sight for sore eyes. Even if Egypt was one of his favourite hunting grounds. “I imagined you’d be dreading all the paperwork,’’ Sur remarked, a hint of laughter in his voice as he stepped into the headquarters. He might still be tired but he was in good spirits and quite happy with substituting crawling through a smelly tomb with working with parchment and paper. And of course, the treasures the team had come across. Suresh moved to his desk, glanced fondly at the framed photo of him and his family then began tidying it. He may have left things a little chaotic before heading out Egypt. |

| Two Cursebreaker... Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Having been pulled into the previous away mission, Septimus had offered to hold down the fort while others had headed off to Egypt with the latest case. It wasn’t like he hadn’t been involved in plenty, both exciting and harrowing examples of their job since he had become a full cursebreaker. Plus, the area was more his father’s turf. Looking up from his desk as he heard the sounds of the returning team, he was greeted with first the sights of Tamara and then Suresh as they each entered the cursebreaker headquarters. “Ah the errant ones return…” he mused with a soft smile. “I see it went well.” It didn’t take too hard a guess to see they weren’t in bad moods and no trips to St. Mungo’s on the way back that he was aware of.

| Bathes in Maple Syrup | Dancing Lobster | Mrs. Charlie Weasley | Seneca's Beard | That's So Fetch Tamara didn’t bother looking up from her paperwork as Suresh and Septimus spoke, though the corners of her mouth twitched ever so slightly at their words. The familiar hum of conversation in the curse-breaker headquarters was almost comforting after weeks of tense situations in tombs where a single wrong move could have meant disaster. But even the warmth of camaraderie couldn’t distract her from the mountain of documentation before her.
"Dreading is an understatement," she muttered, flicking her wand at the quill beside her, watching as it dutifully scratched out notes on the parchment with crisp, precise strokes. Her dark eyes flicked toward Suresh, narrowing slightly in exaggerated offense. "I'd rather be hexed in the shin than sort through all this."
She briefly glanced at the writing being scrawled on the parchment and gave the golden mask in front of her a more thorough look over before giving Septimus a sideways glance. "We're back, mostly in one piece, and yes, it went well. No one died. We didn't unleash an ancient, world-ending curse. And Suresh still has all his limbs, which I'd call a miracle, considering how eager he was to be the first to touch everything."
Tamara exhaled, drumming her fingers against the desk before glancing at her pack full of artefacts still waiting to be cataloged. "If either of you feel like making yourselves useful, I wouldn't say no to an extra pair of hands," she said dryly, though there was a hint of a smirk tugging at her lips. "You know how our other colleagues get when they have to wait."

| ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Suresh took no offense to Tamara not casting a look his way. He knew how it was, how focused she - and every other Cursebreaker - could get when there was work to be done. The team plates, yes, but they also worked harder. Glancing over a piece of parchment which contained notes on a previous project {which had already been transcribed into a formal report}, Sur crumpled it up before tossing it in the bin. In the process he pretended that he was sending a Quaffle through a hoop.
The man finally sat down, catching Tamara’s narrowed gaze as he did. It just made him grin impishly. “Tell you what, Tamara. I’ll finish up my bit of paperwork then I’ll give you a hand with yours. Teamwork, right?” It was a substantial reason why this set of Cursebreakers was highly efficient.
Suresh now winked at Septimus. “Why does she make it sound as though we’re a group of misfits who run around getting purposely injured or releasing dangerous curses often?” He continued to neaten his desk, discarding what were deemed debris and setting his stationery back in place. “What’s life without a little risk?” Sur asked smoothly before pausing in his current task. “You know… it’s only a matter of time before Advika enlists your help in stopping me from continuing to run amok by touching all the artefacts without proper caution.” He lifted an eyebrow at Tamara. “She keeps reminding me that I need to take care of myself for our childrens' sake, if not hers.” Suresh was an adrenaline junkie; he wasn’t quite sure how to follow his wife’s request and set a proper example for Lakshmi and Krishna.
He sent both Tamara and Septimus a knowing look. “Do they think we’re robots? I don’t know about anyone else but I’m not exerting myself today after the last couple of days we’ve had.” And with that, Suresh bent his head over his new notes to begin transcribing into a report. |

| Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Septimus bit back a snort at the lowdown Tamara gave on the mission. It sounded like quite a few if not all missions he had been on or heard about. “So, curiosity was being kind this time around…” No killing of cats or Sureshes after all. “So nice of it.” It was a danger of Ravenclaws and cursebreakers alike so something he and his father both understood very well. To seek out old life and civilizations to see what they could find. Probably why the elder also instilled the reasoning of trying at least to be somewhat cautious in between the curiosity on missions. “You mean we aren’t?” he asked with a raised eyebrow back at Suresh’s remark and wink. “Bite your tongue…” he remarked with a shake of his head, setting aside the project he had just been finishing up when the others had entered the office. “If they thought we were robots, they wouldn’t bother to pay us.” So best not give the higher-ups any ideas, okay. Getting up from his workstation, Septimus moved around to Tamara’s area. “I think I can spare a hand or two to the cause,” holding one out to accept whatever his colleague wanted to hand off. He did have some time to kill. Besides, it would give him a chance to see what exactly they had found.
Darn the curiosity.

| Bathes in Maple Syrup | Dancing Lobster | Mrs. Charlie Weasley | Seneca's Beard | That's So Fetch Tamara arched a brow at Suresh's impish grin and his commentary about taking risks, unimpressed but amused nonetheless. "Well, I hope you're ready to put your quill where your mouth is, because I'm holding you to that teamwork promise." The mission might have been over, but the real battle—paperwork—was only just beginning.
She didn't miss Septimus' quip about curiosity being kind this time, nor did she disagree. It was a miracle none of them had lost a limb or ended up in a cursed coma. Still, she huffed a short laugh. "Curiosity might have spared us this time, but it was touch and go for a while. You should've seen Suresh nearly get his eyebrows hexed off. Would've been a shame, really." She smirked, glancing up at them. "I hear his wife is quite fond of them."
When Septimus approached, offering his hands to the cause, Tamara didn't hesitate to shove a stack of parchment into them, along with a golden amulet wrapped in protective cloth. "Since you're feeling generous, you can start with that. Be careful, though. It had some nasty wards before I got to it, and I don't trust that it's completely harmless yet." She leaned back in her chair, stretching her arms over her head before cracking her neck.
Tamara's eyes briefly flicked toward the door as if expecting the inevitable arrival to occur. "At least we don't have to deal with their... 'charming' company until they start picking over the goods." She let out a quiet sigh, her fingers tapping on the desk. "Which could be any minute now. You know they're efficient in their greed."

| ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Suresh snorted, also highly amused at the quip Septimus made. “I appreciate it being kind though your mention of ‘this time’ is helping me put things into perspective. I really ought to stop taking foolish risks.” When he had been younger {because Sur still considered himself a youngster}, he had been the type to be cautious, to move about gingerishly when he was out in the field. Now? Somehow that caution had gone out the window over the years.
There was a hearty chuckle from him now. “Well, maybe we are… a little.” There was nothing wrong with admitting to that after a bit of consideration. The moment his eyebrows were mentioned, Sur automatically touched his right brow then the left. “Ugh. What a tragedy that would have been, my good looks ruined. At least until I magicked a pair back onto my face.” He lowered his hand, casting Tamara a shrewd look. “Let’s not forget you almost getting hit with Dancing Feet Spell. Those Egyptians sure had a sense of humour… would have been quite the sight to see you involuntarily dancing your feet off.”
To Tamara, Suresh continued smoothly, “It’s almost as if you don’t know me. Of course I’ll keep my word.” However, Septimus was an eager beaver, wasn’t he? “I have a lotus chalice if you’d like to tackle after you’re done, Septimus.” In the meanwhile, he was going to tackle the paperwork on a silver dagger. While Tamara lazed around stretch,he picked up his quill and began assigning a reference number to the dagger on one of the forms, along with the dagger’s description. “Mhmm. I plan on ignoring them as much as I possibly can. I nominate you to deal with them though.” |

| Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna His own eyebrow rose slightly as he looked at Suresh at Tamara’s comments. “At least I think she would know who to blame for their loss." The wife obviously knowing how her other half could be. Septimus accepted the parchment sheets and wrapped amulet with grace and a nod. “Got it…proceed with caution. I’d much rather spend the weekend at home than a ward of Mungos. “ Or worse. Who knew if his collegues had used up all their collective luck and he’s be the truly unlucky one of the trio. Especially when it became clear that Suresh hadn’t been the only one with a close call, the woman earning a raised eyebrow in her direction.
At least getting stuck dancing wasn’t death defying. Unless one died of embarishment.
So would he regret his willingness to assist? Septimus would have to wait and see. A chalice too? “Sure…” he agreed with a nod after a moment as he returned to his workstation with the amulet for now. Though he would work one at a time of course as he took note of where to find the chalice in question when he was ready to move one. He needn’t test whether they would react to each other and he preferred to focus on one thing at a time. And not the powers that be that his coworkers were speaking of. Nope, they can more than handle that situation.
Making sure the surface of his desk was clear of things other than a fresh piece of parchment and a quill, he proceeded to carefully lay his charge on the wood. The cloth deligently unwrapped to release it before he took out his wand to set a small ward around the amulet. Something that he could work through but would hopefully buffer any hidden effects he didn’t manage to slip around. It was a trick he had learned early on.
