It's quite simple, and a bit tacky. It's done from the Point of View of Sirius, as he was looking over the ruins at Godric's hollow the night Voldemort came. Read, and I hope you like! Mourning through the night
He stood, alone, in silence,
Amidst the fluttering grass,
And he wondered to himself in grief,
How this had come to pass.
He stood, masked in darkness,
Bathed in the moon's dim glow,
Staring at him, lifeless,
Cold, wretched and lifeless,
Staring at him lifeless,
And his emotions began to flow....
So many questions, unrelenting,
Provoked his mourning mind,
But indeed, the answers to any of them,
Seemed impossible to find.
Tears cascaded down his cheeks,
Softly, he began to cry.
Each tear heavy with regret,
The recurring, overpowering regret,
The regret that he barely even had
The chance to say goodbye.
One thought aroused a thousand more,
Each one intensifying the pain,
Making him feel that he had lost all,
And that he'd nothing more to gain.
It all seemed incomprehensible,
Too arduous to understand.
Now all he had were memories,
Oh, those bittersweet memories,
Yet he could feel each one of them,
Slipping through his hand.
Sombre thoughts obscured his mind,
Bitter ones masked his heart.
And the anguish surging through his veins,
Was tearing his soul apart.
It befell on them so abruptly,
So brutally curt the end.
A life was lost, taken away,
In a solitary night, taken away,
That single night took a life away,
And lost him his best friend.

| Here or not WOW.
It's pretty different from the other poems posted here.
And I find it very refreshing indeed.
I don't know what to say really.
Meaning how I can describe it.
It's very imaginative and floating,
a bit hard to grasp, but yet it isn't.
Gives room to interpreter.
You use repetation to great succees,
your rythem is good and so is the rhyming.

Here's another one of mine.....it's about - well, read and I daresay you'll understand soon enough. Ode to the devil
Tell me How you learned to lie.
How to me, your deceptions were so real.
Tell me everything, and maybe in time,
I'll cause you the pain you made me feel.
As cocky as it sounds, I gave you my all
And what did you give me in return?
A lifetime of misery.....at least now I know what hate is
It was you who forced me to learn.
Do you even know what you've done to me?
If I told you, would you think to care?
Or would you, like I know you would, ignore my sorrow
And leave me vulnerable, standing there?
I love you, don't you know that?
Haven't I humiliated myself enough to make you see?
I'm not like you, I couldn't lie if I wanted to.
But it's not enough for you. Never was. Because I'm just me.
I'll wound you back, by God I will.
I'll hurt, torment you, time and through.
Because now I know I had succumbed and fallen to the devil.
He was beautiful.
He was masquerading as you.
*End*
