Great writing! You describe everything so well, I keep seeing it all in my head. I absolutely love the way you write, song-fics or restricted section fics, you are really, really talented!

| Thank you! I'm glad you like my writing -- maybe one day I'll be able to put it to use.

Harry dismissed her comment angrily. What did Hermione know about him? And anyway, he had no proof that they had been talking of the same person. Hermione might have thought he was observing at somebody else. It wasn't as if he had been looking at Ginny in that way; he had simply been looking at her. He could have been looking at anybody else, if they had been standing where she had been, right? Right. ((Yeah, love is a verb
Here in my room
Here in my room
Here in my room
Yeah, love is a verb
Here in my room
Here in my room
Here in my room))
Well, not that it mattered much now, in any case. The Atrium was deserted except for him; Ginny had left, she was not there anymore. And he was supposed to find Ron before he attacked Percy. Shoving his hands into the pockets of his robes, Harry stepped closer to the fountain, staring into it blankly. It was noisy and loud, hot and stifling, crowded and cramped in the room where the official party was being held; all things he didn't desire in the slightest—he still had too much on his mind after the final battle…he needed peace and calm for a while, for the first time in nearly two weeks. He had been staying at the Burrow, now that he needn't ever set foot in Privet Drive, Number 4, again. And the Burrow was not known for its tranquillity and quiet – especially not when the house was full to the brim because Charlie and Bill, as well as Hermione, had been there. Harry wondered briefly how often he had seen Ginny in the fortnight he had spent at the Burrow. It was nearing the heart of November, and they had been inside for the largest part; the weather being too chilly to spend time in the open. But where had Ginny been?
Harry crouched down next to the fountain and let his fingers dip into the water, suddenly realising that he was feeling oddly cold. He didn't pull them back out though; tracing lazy circles with his right hand just above the surface of the pool, Harry searched his mind to remember where Ginny had been while he had stayed at the Burrow. Random moments at dinner came to him; Ginny sitting in a far corner, keeping to herself, in seclusion. Thinking about the picture of her solitude at the crowded, raucous table took Harry back to his second year, where she had seemed to be such a timid, introverted person, but in fact was living through hell day after day. It was weird to see that he had no idea what had been going on inside her lately; after all, they had become good friends over the years.
Given, during the raging war, he had been rather isolated from the rest of the world, from friends, spending most of his days at Grimmauld Place, working on plans with members of the Order, especially Dumbledore, Lupin and Shacklebolt. Obviously, Ginny worked for the Order of the Phoenix as well, but he had rarely seen her; only when meetings were being held. A little astounded at the revelation, Harry realised that he had had little contact with her in recent times; he couldn't even remember their last real conversation, apart from the usual 'Hello, how are you' chitchat. They had been busy, he reasoned. Nothing had been more important than battling Voldemort, nothing had been more important than defeating him.
Nevertheless, he felt a pang of guilt. After Sirius' death, back in his fifth year, they had become very close; in her seventh year, when he wasn't attending Hogwarts anymore, they had drifted apart, but when she had completed her NEWTs, they had spent large amounts of time together, in company of Hermione, Neville, Ron, and sometimes Luna Lovegood. Yes, those were the less troubled times of war…those were the times of hidden battles. When the war had come out in the open, everything had changed. Free time? Going out with friends? Lazy hours doing nothing? Those times had not existed any more. It was work for the Order of the Phoenix, work, work, work. Until the final battle had come. Until Lord Voldemort had been destroyed.

Well, just remember that when (not if!) you get your first book published, you let me know, ok? This post was really beautiful, I love it how Harry had the revelation that he hadn't actually talked to Ginny for so long. It's amazing how people so near us can still be so far away... Anyway, I'm babbling! Great writing as usual!

| Lol, believe me, there will be an enormous announcement, and I'll probably have it in my avatar, in my signature, in every single post...you hardly will be able to miss it. Thanks for saying that, by the way--that gives me a kind of will to finally get it going. I'm already quite glad I finished a few of my short stories yesterday (also a songfic that I will post here), and yeah. Another step towards being able to write my own things.

A soft clicking startled Harry out of his reverie, and he looked up to find Ginny closing a door behind herself slowly. It blended in with the panelling of the walls perfectly; had he not just seen it open, Harry would have sworn that no such passage existed. She looked tired, he thought, different from when she had been surrounded by swarms of people. Ginny's gaze swept over the room uneasily, apparently happy that no-one was around, and she sighed heavily, leaning back against the dark wood. Feeling relieved that she was still there, Harry straightened up from his crouching position and made her jump when he spoke silently, "Hey."
"Harry," she replied, her voice catching in her throat as if she had just been caught doing something she shouldn't. "I thought I was alone."
Again, the fleeting impression of a scared eleven-year old came to Harry's mind – but Ginny was no child anymore; she was twenty years old and had seen enough horrors from young age to fill many books with. ((You enter and close the door behind you
Now show me the world as seen from the stars))
"Sorry," Harry responded, "I didn't mean to interrupt you…you probably want your peace and all…well…I'll just…if you want to be alone, I mean—"
"Oh," Ginny replied, pushing herself away from the wall and taking a few hesitant steps towards him before stopping again, looking unsure. "That's not what I meant…I think it's just the crowd, can't stand that anymore…"
Harry, as if mirroring her actions, had also taken a few tentative steps in her direction, but found himself rooted to the spot several feet away from her. "Enough of the small-talk?" he inquired softly.
"Yeah, I guess." Another few steps. Ginny was barely standing at an arm's length away from him, and finally, she was close enough for Harry to be able to start on one of his favourite unconscious habits: Trying—unsuccessfully—to count the freckles on her nose.
"Same here," Harry said gently. "Peace and quiet is all I crave for at the moment, but I seem to be thrown into situations like these parties day after day."
Ginny laughed, and Harry reasoned that she had the most wonderful laugh he had heard in a long time. It was free and came from deep down; not one of the childish giggles he was used to from Lavender or Parvati who were also both there that evening. And it had been a long time since he had heard anybody, especially Ginny, laugh, really laugh. He smiled back at her. "I'm sure it's worse for you than for me," she said earnestly. "And I was actually trying to sneak out of the Ministry before somebody finds me again; that's why I got such a blow when you were suddenly here. Wanna come outside with me? This light…it's far too intense in my opinion," she said, shielding her eyes from the brightness.
It was true; the light—wherever it was coming from—reminded Harry very strongly of any Muggle part of a large city. "Sure," he said, and in the next second, Ginny had grasped his hand and was pulling him over to the telephone box at the end of the Atrium.

Well, I'm really glad to know that you have more in store for us! And I absolutely think you should start writing your own things, you definitely have the talent for it, and I'm sure more people are gonna find that out!
Anyway, this was another great post, a really sweet moment between those two. Please keep it up! (even though it doesn't seem like that many people are reading it... I can't understand why!)

Harry opened the door for Ginny and stepped in behind her. It was rather tight, but he didn't mind; Ginny's red curls were tickling his nose a little, and she smelled faintly of fresh fruit—perhaps watermelon, he couldn't be sure. As the door closed behind them with a soft click, Ginny picked up the receiver and a cool female voice started speaking. "You are now on your way out of the Ministry of Magic. If you wish to continue, please dial six-two-four-four-two. If you are here by accident, please step back out."
Heaving an annoyed sigh at the voice, Ginny dialled the number.
"Thank you," the voice continued as the lift gave a rumble and started lifting off the floor, up towards the heart of London. "You will find yourself within walking distance to the nearest Muggle Underground station Covent Garden, Piccadilly Line. Before leaving, check on having all your belongings and replace the receiver on the hook. The Ministry of Magic wishes you a pleasant day."
Both of them snorted and Ginny placed the receiver back onto the hook. After a few more seconds, the pavement came into sight through the panelled windows and soon, the lift rattled to a halt so they could get out.
"Got all your belongings?" Ginny laughed as they stepped out into the deserted street and the cool night air greeted them.
Harry closed the door to the red telephone box and grinned at her. "Yeah, think so," he said casually. She reached out for his hand, and he let her take it without hesitating. "Ginny," he frowned, "you're not wearing a cloak. Isn't it a bit cold like that in the middle of November?"
"Nah," Ginny replied as they set off down the road, "I learnt Heating Charms before I even went to Hogwarts, you know. Now…what's the Underground station again?"
"Covent Garden," Harry said, peering down a street at their right as they reached a crossing, "I think it's down there."
"If you say so," Ginny grinned.
"Are you questioning my sense of orientation, Weasley?" Harry smirked.
"Not in the slightest, Potter," Ginny responded playfully. "But it'll be entirely your fault if we get lost in Muggle London."
"I'll take the risk."

They both laughed and continued down the dark streets in silence. A slight breeze ruffled Harry's hair as he looked up into the sky. It was surprisingly clear, a deep, velvety blue, stars sprinkled on it, like diamonds on a sheet; yet, the weather forecast had announced rain. After a while, he thought he could distinguish music, the chatter of many voices and tinkling china. Sure enough, a minute later, they emerged on the outskirts of Covent Garden Market, a covered shopping area in Victorian buildings. Around it, cafés, restaurants, shops and market stalls were grouped, hosting a part of London nightlife. A young musician was playing the guitar, and a large group of students was singing around him. Fascinated, Ginny stopped, before mixing into the crowd until she could see the guitarist, pulling Harry with her. She cocked her head to the side, listening for a while and observing the crowd attentively before turning back to him and mumbling, "It's nice to not be spotted in a crowd for once; to be considered a normal person."
Harry grimaced as they set off down the colourful streets, away from the group. "You get used to the stares," he said as Ginny slipped her hand back into his, which took him by surprise, yet again.
"Really?" she asked doubtfully. "I think I'm going to get a flat in the middle of a Muggle city and only venture the wizarding world when I have no other choice."
"Which you probably will have to every day if you plan on getting a job with your NEWTs. Somehow, I don't think they're are accepted by many Muggle universities and such."
Ginny made a face at him. "What's that building there?" she asked, pointing in front of them.
Harry squinted a bit. "Royal Opera House, I think," he said. "We'll probably get a blast full of singing when we walk past."
Ginny laughed. "You don't know if there's a park or something near here, do you?"
"In Central London?" Harry asked. "There are several, Hyde Park, or St James's Park, but unless you want to walk for a long while, we'll have to take the Underground."
"I'd rather not…but the Underground station's there," Ginny said, pointing across the street. "We could always have a look if there's a map or something…"
"There always is." A gap appeared in the traffic, and Harry pulled Ginny across the street quickly, entering the station, and narrowing his eyes from the blinding neon light again. They found the map soon after and stood in front of it, tracing the lines.
"Look, this here's a green space, that must be a park," Ginny said, pointing at a big green blob. "What's it say? Kensington Gardens."
"Ginny," Harry laughed, "we are here at the moment. See? Covent Garden. Unless you want to take the Underground, we'd have to walk approximately three miles."
Ginny huffed. "Fine, find another one then. I don't like these Muggle trains much, and if I can avoid walking too far, that would be grand."

| I'm finally back from a great vacation. I had so much fun! Sorry I kept you waiting so long, by the way. I hate doing that. :/ But it's unavoidable. A seperate songfic section would be grand, but there's not enough songfics written on SS to justify that, I'm afraid!
Oh well... on with the fic!

An enormous smile plastered on his face at her comment, Harry peered at the map. It felt good to be around Ginny again; he had nearly forgotten how easy it was to just talk to her, to just have fun with her. I don't want us to drift apart again, he thought. He had missed spending time with her a great deal.
"Here," he finally announced, "it's not far, just a few streets. Well, actually, there are two parks nearby, you decide. Either Embankment Gardens—they're close to the river Thames—or…what's this called? I can't read it," he muttered, taking off his glasses and polishing them on his robes again. A group of youths arrived from the staircases leading down to the rails and looked at them queerly; Harry grimaced—his cloak and robes, as well as Ginny's dress, weren't really what you could call unsuspicious. But then again, London hosted all sorts of weird people. The youths just shook their heads and continued on, probably to the nearest pub.
Ginny shook her head exasperatedly, trying to read the smudged paper. "Lincoln's Inn Fields is the name," she blinked, "I think."
Harry placed his glasses on his nose again and looked at the street names that led there. "So which one?"
"The one with less noise."
"I'm guessing the Fields then," Harry said, "Embankment is close to Victoria Embankment, which is a pretty busy road. We'll have to one of these streets here, pass Kingsway—I think that's the name of this one here—and then we should be there."
"Right, off we go!" Ginny pulled him away from the map. "We'll find it somehow, don't worry. And if we get stuck, we can always call the Knight Bus or Apparate back to the Burrow or something. I can't stand this light one more second." ((If only the lights would dim a little
I'm weary of eyes upon my scars))
They walked out of the tube station and set off leisurely. On Kingsway, Harry had to hold Ginny back from crossing the road before the pedestrians' lights turned green ( 'Ginny! Are you suicidal, or why are you so keen on getting run over by a car?'). But in the end, they made it to Lincoln's Inn Fields more or less safely. When they entered the park, Harry looked up and frowned; the starry sky had vanished to be replaced by soft white clouds. They found a bench, a little away from the main path leading through the park, and sat down next to each other, talking about the war that was still like an ever looming, ominous threat over their heads, although the worst was over; but Death Eaters were still on the loose. That was when their topic turned to life after the Order of the Phoenix, which was an event that was closer than they had thought. After all, the Aurors at the Ministry had most of the responsibility dealing with post-war chaos and threats; the main task of the Order had been accomplished.

"I always thought Auror College would be the obvious choice," Ginny sighed, playing with a piece of wood she had picked up from the ground, "but that was before all of the fighting. I feel like I can't do that anymore; I don't want to anymore. I've had enough. Sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't just open a bookshop or an Apothecary or something. But then again, I'd probably be bored out of my mind by the time I reach the age of twenty-five."
"No offence, Ginny, but I can hardly picture you working in a store like that," Harry laughed. "Unless it was the twins' Wizarding Wheezes, a shop seems a highly unlikely place for you to work in."
"And what do you know about it?" Ginny asked, eyebrows raised. "Maybe I'm exactly the type for that?"
"You're not."
Ginny started acting as if she was advertising products in a shop, then pulled out her purse and started counting the change for her fictional customer. Harry grinned, shaking his head. "You're not that type, Gin."
Ginny stopped in mid-gesture, looking at him queerly.
"What?" Harry asked apprehensively.
"Nothing," Ginny said slowly, still staring at him. "I just can't remember when you called me Gin for the last time."
Harry blinked, gazing back at her. "We haven't had much contact recently."
"No," Ginny replied, "we haven't." She paused, giving Harry time to reflect on her observation. He hadn't really thought about it. To call her 'Gin' had come naturally in that moment, like when he had first started calling her that, a few years back. She was playing with the twig again when she spoke. "Maybe we should change that."
"We should," Harry said, "definitely."
Ginny smiled at him, tucking a curl of her red hair behind her ear. "That's settled then."
"We only have to find a suitable job for you now."

"Well," she said, "actually, I guess I do have a pretty good idea of what I want to do. You see, after working at St Mungo's for nearly two months—willingly, of course—that kind of appealed to me. To become a healer, I mean."
"Why not?" Harry asked.
"Guess why not—Mum doesn't want me to."
"As if that had ever stopped you from doing what you wanted, Ginny," Harry said earnestly.
"You're right," Ginny said, "I've even already applied for it, you know. And you?"
"Me? Not Auror College, that's for sure. I dunno. I guess I would really like to…well, to play Quidditch professionally, but that's a bit of a far-fetched fantasy, isn't it."
"Why would that be a fantasy?" Ginny asked, looking at him as though he were dumb. "You're a brilliant Seeker, and you know it. For heaven's sake, you won the Quidditch cup…how often? Four times?"
"Well… I didn't really play in fifth year, with Umbridge and all—"
"You won the Quidditch cup four times and think being a professional Quidditch player is like building a castle in the air," Ginny repeated, shaking her head. "You do know that Oliver Wood only won it once and was taken immediately?"
"Yeah, but he's a great plotter and all—"
"And you're not?"
"Me? No."
"No."
"No."
"Well, if this would penetrate your thick skull—which is highly unlikely—I don't think you'd have any problem whatsoever to join any Quidditch team you wanted, Harry. You should…go for it. Have you thought about any specific one? Knowing you, probably not," she laughed. "Planning in advance has never been your strength."
"Considering that I never knew if I'd be alive the next day, Ginny, it was hardly a skill I thought I had to develop."
Ginny laughed and laid her head on Harry's shoulder. "You know what?" she finally asked, looking over the dark lawns in front of her. "I missed you. A lot even."
"I missed you too, Gin. But I guess we were so busy with our work that it didn't seem that evident." ((If the world would fall apart
In a fiction-worthy wind
I wouldn't change a thing
Now that you're here))
"Did you do anything but work at all, Harry?" Ginny inquired softly.
"Not really," he sighed heavily. "I think I met Ron and Hermione every now and then, and you too sometimes… I also remember a rather rowdy night at the Leaky Cauldron with the Gryffindor boys where we got ****** as hell…Ron nearly splinched himself when he tried to Apparate home. But other than a few outings, I spent most of the time working. In Grimmauld Place, with Dumbledore, Lupin and Kingsley Shacklebolt. Devising plans and training…"
"Ever meet any girls?" Ginny wanted to know, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.
"Ginny!"
"What?" she asked innocently. "I just asked a simple question!" Harry grumbled something incoherent. "Oh, come on, don't be such a spoil-sport. I want to know the gossip."
"There's nothing to gossip about," Harry said. "I wasn't and am not seeing anybody. I didn't have the time…I didn't have the energy either, somehow. I guess I tried at the beginning, but after realising that I just wouldn't or couldn't commit to anything serious, I became frustrated and stopped forcing myself. Maybe it'll change now? I don't know. You?"
"I went around shagging everyone," Ginny answered seriously before bursting out in laughter. "Well, not really. My love-life is surprisingly boring and sounds pretty much like yours. Dated a few boys, but I was always so distracted by fights or work or Mum fretting about them or me getting fed up…nothing worked out. They were mostly boring anyway."

Don't worry, your posts are worth the wait! I love it how Ginny encouraged Harry to follow his dream, it shows how much she cares. And it's good they got to know more about their previous "love lives", now they now that the past is not an obsticle! Great writing!

Harry felt a drip on his forehead and looked up. The fluffy white clouds were no longer innocent-looking; it was starting to drizzle. Of course, it was nothing spectacular for London at this time of the year; and the weather forecast had been announcing a downpour for the past few days.
"Rain," Ginny muttered, sticking out her hand, and watching the drops fall onto her palm placidly.
"Do you want to go inside anywhere? Or back?" Harry asked.
Ginny looked at him, a smile tugging at her lips. "I thought we had established the fact that we both can't stand those boring Ministry parties. But we should find a place that is a little more sheltered, you're right."
Harry got up from the bench and pulled her up behind him. They walked down the path a little, deeper into the park. Harry kept shooting Ginny side-way glances; she was still only wearing her emerald green dress, and although she denied it, he could not believe that she was not cold. He stopped and took off his cloak.
"What are you doing?" Ginny asked suspiciously.
"I'm giving you my cloak," Harry said. "You can't walk around without anything covering your shoulders in November; as a person who wants to become a healer, you should know better."
"I'm fine, Harry, I don't need—"
"Here," Harry insisted, putting the cloak around her shoulders and closing the buttons before she could protest. "And don't you even think of throwing it off."
Ginny grimaced at him. "Thanks."
"So you were cold, then?"
"I never said that."
"Right," Harry grinned. Ginny slapped his arm playfully and he laughed. "Look, I think there's a pavilion or something there," he said, peering through the curtain of rain.

The drizzle was becoming heavier by the second, and they soon found themselves nearly running towards their refuge. Indeed, it turned out to be a small pavilion, partially surrounded by thick bushes. Harry stepped into it; at least they were sheltered from the shower now.
"I never saw it," Ginny said, staring out into the rain that was quickly turning into a torrential downpour. "You see, that's another sign for you to play Quidditch; it's a Seeker's ability to spot this kind of thing."
"Fine, I got your point," Harry said. "I'll find a team to apply—but it won't be the Canons, that I already know."
"Ron will be heartbroken," Ginny remarked. The rain was drumming onto the wooden roof over their heads as the path gradually turned into a muddy trail, big puddles of water forming on the uneven surface.
"Now, this is an appropriate time for a Heating Charm," Harry said, taking out his wand.
"Good point." Ginny waved her wand and attempted to perform the spell on herself; but her hair was still dripping wet. "It's not working very well," she commented dryly, pointing the wand at her hair again and again.
"So you learned Heating Charms before you even came to Hogwarts?" Harry asked, lifting his eyebrow.
"Well," Ginny said, waving her wand frantically, "theoretically, yes. But when I burnt myself with a Heating Charm sometime in second year, I guess I developed a kind of phobia. I hate that spell. I'm too afraid to use it in case I burn myself again," she concluded, a loop-sided grin on her face.
Harry grinned a little and somehow, watching Ginny opposite him, soaking from head to toe, made him chuckle. She laughed a little herself, making him laugh out loud, and soon they were facing each other, unable to control themselves anymore. Ginny threw her arms around him for support as they continued laughing, barely in mind what was so funny at all. After several minutes, Harry pulled back, still laughing.

I can't stop saying it, but those two are just so sweet! The way you write them is so detailed, it really captures the spirit of both of them. Please update soon again!

"I'll perform the spell on you then," he sniggered.
"No!" Ginny panicked, but was laughing at the same time. "Don't, I hate that spell, I'll probably start some accidental magic and burn myself or you in process—really, I'm better off all drenched, believe me."
This made Harry laugh even more, and Ginny tried to scowl at him; but it didn't work very well. In the end she was back to laughing herself and soon found her arms around Harry's neck again, who held her close to give her at least some warmth. Her hands on his back were freezing, as was her cheek that was pressed against his neck. Finally, the last sniggers died down, and they just kept close to each other, Ginny shivering and sniffling a bit. ((Yeah, love is a verb

"What's that noise?" Ginny asked after several minutes. Harry frowned; he had heard it too. He strained his ears, but it was hard to distinguish any noise through the racket the rain was making. "Did you hear that?" she inquired, looking up at him.
"Yeah," Harry replied, letting her go a little; but Ginny didn't loosen her grip around his neck. "Sounded like voices or something. But it might just be a group of people walking through the park, you know."
Ginny nodded, letting her head sink back onto Harry's shoulder. Her cold nose was a fraction of an inch away from his neck and the air she was exhaling tickled him in a pleasant way as they heard it again, this time closer. It was quite clearly the chatter of several people, dispersed by shouts, a person calling every now and then. First Harry thought of somebody having lost a dog, but then he heard it again.
"Ginny! Harry!"
"They have to be here somewhere; those guys said they saw two people walk into here…"
"Probably drowned in this rain; I doubt they had an umbrella or anything with them."
"Oh, come on, Neville. They're not that thick. A wizard and a witch should be able to transfigure something into an umbrella if it starts to rain."
"I was just saying…"
"Ginny! Harry!"
In the meantime, both were still clinging to each other, suppressing fits of laughter as they heard Ron, Hermione and Neville approach. "Why didn't any of us think of transfiguring something into an umbrella?" Harry whispered, laughing silently.
"No idea," Ginny laughed back. "Oh, let's just stay here and not move—I'd like to see Ron get a fit when we arrive back home in a few hours, absolutely drenched from head to toe—"
"You're the only one that's drenched, Gin," Harry laughed, "if I may remind you, it's because you have a phobia concerning Heating Spells."
"Well, I'll make sure you're wet too, don't you worry about that!"

"I THINK I'VE FOUND—Ginny? Harry? WHAT ARE YOU DOING LIKE THAT?"
As if he had just touched a burning hot cauldron, Harry let go of Ginny under Ron's fierce glare. Ginny whirled around, looking at Ron with a smirk on her lips, huddling Harry's cloak closer around her. Her brother's eyes were darting between the two of them as Hermione and Neville appeared out of the rain, both carrying large yellow umbrellas. Harry observed his three friends, intrigued by the small smile playing around Hermione's lips.
"See, Ron," she said, "they're both fine."
"Heylo," Ginny said good-humouredly. "Fancy meeting you here!" She and Harry rolled with laughter, joined by Hermione and Neville. However, they quieted at the sight of a fuming Ron Weasley quickly. ((Pink tractor beam into your incision
Head spinning as free as dervish's whirl))
"YOU!" he finally exploded, pointing a shaking finger in Harry's direction. "What have you done to her? She's soaking wet, and there you are, dry as a bone—"
"Ron," Ginny interrupted, annoyance clear in her voice, "we were caught in the rain, nothing happened…"
"Ron, there's no need to explode like that—as Ginny said, they were surprised by the rain, that's all. I'm sure they can also get home alone, so why don't we just go back—" Hermione suggested, Neville nodding fervently at her side, and pulling at Ron's sleeve.
"Holding each other, kissing and what not—"
"We didn't kiss," Harry frowned.
"RON!" Ginny shouted. "Get a grip on yourself!"
"You keep out of this matter, Ginny, it has nothing to do with you. Potter, I'd really like to know what you thought you were doing—"
Harry blinked, looking at Ron who was behaving like a rampaging Hippogriff. He wondered if he shouldn't have let him have so many butterbeers—add the fact that he had already been aggravated to no end by Percy, and you could probably even understand his reaction. But by now, Harry wasn't even hearing the words Ron was shouting anymore; they washed over him as he tried to find something to reply, to make him understand that they had only come here as friends, and that Ginny was afraid of Heating Charms—How logical that seems, he thought dryly—and that they really were too dumb to think of transfiguring a pinecone or a bit of wood into an umbrella…
Suddenly, Ginny turned around, away from Ron. She closed the small gap between herself and Harry, and the sound was turned back on; or better, Ron had just simply fallen silent, as Ginny took Harry's face into her hands, eyes twinkling, and, standing on the tips or her toes, pressed her lips against his. Harry's eyes widened for a fraction of a second before snapping shut. His hands snuck around Ginny's waist pulling her closer to him as her hands found their way into his unruly black hair. Although he was expecting to be hit by a curse any second, Harry couldn't pull away; especially when Ginny opened her mouth wider and deepened the kiss. It was intoxicating; Harry felt like he was one of those pieces of fruit in his punch from earlier on, swirling in circles, drowning, deeper and deeper…and yes, it was watermelon, her taste was definitely watermelon, oh yes. Her hands now came back to his face and Ginny pulled away, but not before pressing a last kiss on his lips.
"There," she said, eyes dancing in merriment. "Now you can start shouting, Ron." ((I came here expecting next to nothing

Oh, no, I don't want it to end!! And I was totally unprepared!!
No seriously, it was a great end to the story, I can really imagine Ron becoming that upset, but Ginny's respond to it was fabulous!! And you ended it perfectly, there was no need to continue after their long-awaited kiss!
Anyway, I hope you write/post another story really soon, everything you write is just amazing! Could you please PM me when that happens? That way I can read your fantastic writing immediately!
