Hello, poets and readers
the title of this, "Muses", sums up the majority of my poems, as they all are inspired by muses weaving themselves into my mind. It also happens to be the title of one of my poems, which I'll post here right now... "Muses"
Muses, the very soul of a poetic being
Life, all around and so dear
Transform the scenes so common into words
Take not for granted, for each faint star is a child
Inspire the heart of the blessed
Dark muse of Night, or the fair muse of Day
Branches of claws against the window panes
A single blossom straying from grassy lane
Fires of blood dripping over the walls
The cavern whispers of an echo's call
Nightmares from the depths of deep blue sea
Softly blow, kind wind, onto the autumn leaf
Muses of Death, gentle muses of Life
Dancing with a maiden, cutting with thy knife
Each face has two sides, yet as with all
Every muse is the soul of a poetic being
Muses of Death still lend to the poet
The elixir of Life.
it's not one of my best, but it is straight from my heart.

hopefully i don't go crazy and post every single poem i have on here, since i have about a hundred....I'm just so starved for editors/critism, since my friends are all used to them. I just want some new feedback, that's all. Don't be afraid to tell me how I can make improvements or change my poetry! thanks! "Gone"
I didn't see my other being step away
Silently
I was half-asleep in the world of empty dreams
Peeking occasionally at the frozen night
The first moon doesn't linger long enough
For me to touch its reflection in the water
It shatters
But this time it's gone forever
Find me, I command my soul
Through the valleys of eternity where I have left myself behind
Blinking away moments of yesterday
See
The running waters in the deep blue stream. |

| The sun smiles softly with a wisdom
That once captured the sky
Slipping away in the wink of a diamond
The clouds filter violet dancers
Stepping through the last rays of wheat
Soon...wisps of a dreamy snow
Tinted by the stars
Make way for the maiden of the night
The moon has crept up slowly behind the shadows
Shedding the cloak of midnight rushes
She'll soon find the later moments
Thoughts of twilight |

this forum is so deserted =(
anyway, i'll just write to myself The only ones I love are drifting away from me
The only things I love are disappearing in the waves
What is this world trying to do to me?
Slowly and painfully killing me...
Every time I wade out far away from shore
Expecting the waters to close over my troubles
How is my mind to remember that it's not okay?
They're not going to fade out of existence as long as I live.
Haunting me, drowning me into a pool without light
Extract no reaction for my world is as dark as night
Choking on the air not given for me to breathe
One by one my hopes are leaving and I don't believe
Why did I let myself be fooled by the traps of reality?
I thought somehow the sun would shine through
I was praying for a day when I finally could see, but I only found
That no such day exists for the one condemned to hide
I can't swim through another bend in the river of disappointments
cackling its impending doom at me, smiling
I just want to make it, it that too much to ask?
I want to live my dreams, why were they shattered?
Like a fragile jar that cannot be mended... |

thanks stardancer! I'm really happy that someone reviewed my work =)
Here's another one: "Questions and Description"
As the sun finds a way through the clouds of night
Reflection of a glass imagination evolve into the daylight
Stories told in the twilight hour of solitary sound
The words do not fail to fade away
Capture the moments in which the flowers have not awoken
Hiding beneath their petals
Fluntuaction of restless song
Take away these reasons of forever peace
In turn place the symbol of another age
Yearning, always yearning for something more
Trying to heal what never will be
Wings not made to fly
Why is it that songs of childhoods gone by never
Return to dark corners of what was once to be?
Why do the rays of golden dreams
Only shine on the surface
Of the innocent lake, dancing sparrows
Never penetrating into the depths? |

thanks for the comments! Here's another~ Slivers of cloud
Slice through the young and immortal sky
that is their canvas
Painting mists of grey
Blown eastward by the wind
Playing
in the softly blurred boundaries of dawn and twelve-
morning.
Thoughts drift across the sightless mind
that of another world
That listless clouds
wafting far and wide
belong to lost and hidden souls.
And as one looks up to the blue
where angels braid their locks
In the balanced hours of daylight
wretched being and listless soul
Arising wings, fly to the realm
Of the imaginary
For clouds of pale cornflower wishes
and a dream of cerulean
Inset within sight before eternal rest
Trembling fingers reach out
to the jars of hope piled up high
behind the sun
Not meant to be taken.
This poem was inspired by a scene I saw while riding to school one day, and i wrote it there on the bus, but I've made some adjustments ^^
hope you like!

and here is the poem about sirius that i posted in the poet's guild #1.... A wind does blow still on the life you left behind,
a flame upon the fire with once shined so bright.
The past still haunting the ones deeply so intwined,
Sirius, you were a player in the plot of twisted plight.
Years of deception may have found his hopes withdrawn,
yet lingering despair never found its way as a threat.
For the lurking revenge unfulfilled, left by a marauder gone.
Trust destroyed by malignant spite, and Padfoot did not forget.
He wore a mask that was his alone, hiding the thoughts below,
secretly wistful and smiled to the clueless who lived in despise.
One man, one story, heartbreaking words few learned to know,
receiving the hope renewed as he opened his godson's eyes.
Days of trickery and lies have fallen putting him at blame,
but through every second what prevailed were bravery, and love.
The veil is illusion to those who reminisce his name,
Sirius Black has not faded away, but lives in the stars above. |

thanks guys! *gasp* stardancer488!! you're the person who was in HP trivia with me!!!! hi!!!!!!! ^^
here's another poem...I'm getting lazy and just posting ones I wrote before cuz i have so many, but i really need to start writing more. Before I could write 5 a day but now the ff's are taking all my attention :whisle: "Sub Rosa"
Take your dream and drift away
For this is the secret of the senility blue
See the escaping star over the eventide?
Augury of what is written by the universe
Sisters and love alike
They are calling now
Soon it will be found
In the minutes of a night
Happening before its time
Casting hopeful secrets
It's unknown
Sub rosa, my dear
They are only
Hidden under the rose
aaaaand another one ^^
She is dancing slowly to a haunting song
She breathes and twirls around her deepest fears
She is thinking about her past
Reflected in her eyes
Slipping away so fast are the whispers of tomorrow
While the music tells her what is to come
Leaning closer, she closes her eyes
Tilts her head up to listen
Always listening
She is
Always looking
Always smiling
She is still dancing
The night air is her partner
The moonlight is her gown
The sands are her shoes
She is dancing slowly
Tonight, and forever. |

thanks guys *blush* Wise and still learning of the world's ages
Only a maiden from few seasons of night
Finely fashioned features and chiseled bones
Not created for agony of more than a lifetime's
Burden of knowledge
Over the regal head held so high
Flowing threads of embers
Entwining with the thoughts emerging
Fiery as an icestorm
Her eyes changing colors with the days
From sudden black to somber blue
The memories never fade from this mind
Eternal and always more to be seen in the distance
A life of knowledge of more than is known
To the ocean waves rolling over each sunset.
And no, this isn't describing any particular person ^^

Thanks phoebe phoenix ^^
New avvie! Sweet Remy! gotta love the three *true* marauders....
I've been shamefully neglecting all this poetry....so i'm merely posting ones I've written before....I can't believe it I haven't written one in a week! *bashes self on head and invites everyone to do the same* All the world is a stage...
Where all the actresses are beautiful as Day
And mysterious as Night
Blushing away at the mirrored walls
Fasions of Europe, they only are
Swooning and downing a shimmering glass of wine
Falling and appearing through the holes in the scenery
The blood is underneath the carpet.
Romeos and Juilets infinitely rule Lady Tragic Love
Chicago brings out the another face, the luring facet of murder
Audience mesmerisized with the penetrating masks
From which cat eyes dart to the south and away
Worn at all hours
Some more glitter, my dear?
Hide your features they must not be seen
For the world is a stage
Where no one gives real identity
Is always someone else
Don't ask me who I am.
For only here, in this stage of a world
Can one change from a whispery maiden
Into a cold and unblinking tigress
Only here can one go through all the demons of the night
And discover true happiness in a corner
Only here, can a lovely lady find love and peace
Living happily ever after
Where outside hungry children still linger.
While Rhett leaves Scarlett behind
Gone with the wind may be those hauntiing melodies
Of the forgotten voices of angels
Once resonating from between the royal lines
Where are you now, my alley stray..
Here's the last penny i have today.
Pleading eyes and puckered lips
Snubbing noses and droopy ears
Fall into Death, and come to Life again
Being stabbed with a dagger, smiling behind the curtains
Art thou last entrance Stage Right?
that was a rather strange one, yet I was proud of it for a long time....

those are amazing i wish i could write like that. That last one: beginning with "All the world's a stage". inspired no doubt by Shakespeare's As You Like It? And I love how you incorporated all those other stories, books, and movies into it i love how you built onto it with your wonderful imagery. absolutely loving it all!

~~~~~ "Snow"
So exquisite, so lovely
...So white
Bringing cheer and laughter
A sunlit sight
Mirthful children glide down
The hill
Laughing even with the arrival of
The day's hours of darkness
For they know....
It’s not really
Ended
While
The flecks of frost blow away
Away... far away…
Can't it be seen?
Hidden away
In the sanctuary of ice
Where the white isn't so exquisite
And even the moon
Is pensive
Like any distant maiden
Yet not
.....So beautiful.
Though... no doubts there
For it only
Only
Echoes the world.
~~~~~
ack! this poem supposedly has different spacing and everything but it doesn't show up here =/

Lol, yeah. They say it's going to snow tomorrow though =/
YAY! I wrote my first poems in a week! Finally! As a celebration I'm going to post both of them here ^^
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Little Wooden Dolphin"
What color are dolphin tears?
you shed them inwardly, and I'll never know
Silent through the months and years
You belong to the sea
Little dolphin of the past
Lapping upon the whisper of light
And the hollow night sounds beating from the rest
Eyes filling with water that has traveled far from the ocean
As you hold onto the dreams that even you possess
Wishing of swimming into waves of blue
Melting into the sky so bright
One twinkling star falling behind
Still
Waiting for the day you'll stop being
Just a wooden sculpture gathering dust
In the corner.
~~~~~
That one was inspired by the little dolphin on my desk we got from Disney a year ago, lol.
~~~~~ "The Colour of Grey"
In between the light and the stone
Where the rain meets the dark
Night falling upon the reminants of snow
The colour of grey.
The children of the wind are crying
Where the sun never shines
Behind mountains of water and the past
Searching still in the mist of tomorrow
The colour of grey
The sea rises and falls
Gathering the sorrows of a century by
The tears of the shellfish ebbing by
Vivid coral, and fading away
The colour of grey
A maiden's footsteps tread lightly yesterday
Bunnies whispering beneath the coves
Where a shadow still dwells, untouched by the present
The colour of grey.
~~~~~
