*Another edit, and I know i'm screwing up the whole thread but yeah i have my reasons =] I'll leave two of the poems though*

Moving

I met someone
A guy

I'd seen him before
Nothing special

Not like you
You were intangible

But it was like a bolt of lighting
That one day

His laugh rings in my ears
That smile just won't leave
The teasing whisper lingers

His sweaty palms covering my mouth
Placing his hands on mine...

You?
All i have is a stolen picture.
A lost memory.

The lighting struck
And it remains in me
While you are too far away

You moved
Away from my being
Away from my heart

I lost you
And you didn't try to
Find me

So now I
Am moving on.

~*~

Entranced

The darkness crowded
My game screen bright

In your hands it was the flashlight
Guiding me to your soul

All eyes were focused
As you took the gold

But i payed no attention to that
Just you

No one noticed
As I examined every inch
Of your blue-lit face

Your serious expression
Eyes forward
Hands clentched

Entranced.

Well i was right--the beatch is very inspiring! Although i didn't actually GO to the beach, considering we went A DAY AFTER THE FREAKIN SHARK ATTACK! And, unlike the times before, this attack was actually WHERE WE WERE STAYING! Argh. I was really wanting to use my new skim board too...ah well, we did a ton of shopping (really, it was only at Barnes and Nobels (my new fave store--OMG, i found a quill that was handmade in italy! It's BEAUTIFUL~) And Books-A-Million--I got alot of new books ) And I saw STAR WARS and WAR OF THE WORLDS!! Honestly, i liked WotW better--it was AWESOME! I was kinda freakin out though XD--it's scarier than Tom Cruise's behaviour lately.

*falallaaa cut out some stuff here*

I really liked this one :

Don't Look Down

Sitting high above the world
Looking down at all the dots
I can't connect them.

I used to peel my world apart
Examine each ridge
Bump
And turn

And when I reached the juicy core
I was ready to take a bite
Because I knew it was just enough to chew

But now as the waves
Build and crash in my world
I can't catch them long enough
To see

Now I'm pedaling blindly
Going down a dusty road
All alone

I'm chasing after you

I don't stop to ponder
Just turn
And feel
As I hit a bump
Somehow I'm not afraid.

***Update: Haha that poem was published in Teen Ink Journal! Er, probably over a year ago. But it rocked =D***

I uh, wrote this one awhile back but for some reason never edited it--kinda sweet, i think:

My Little Drummer

Each heart beats
To its own drum

And once it gets lonely
It cries for rhythm

And someday it finds
That perfect match

That falls behind
And jumps ahead
Protecting its insecurity

They fall into harmony
And sometimes go solo

But the rhythm is steady
Complementary
To the different beats

You take this road
I'll take that one
We'll meet again someday

Our roads will cross
And i know i'll never
Be lost
Your song is in my heart.

This one is slightly lame:

Scattered Showers

Rain falls on my paradise
The grey clouds match the blurry
Perpetual ocean
And the storm in my heart

Last night,
Billowing waves
Dark, Deep, Dangerous blue
Tears
Rising up from all sides

But in the distance I can see
Soft, comforting blue skies
And white clouds of bliss

Maybe the rain will let up.

I really liked this one--Ha, you know you're bored when you start writing about trees XD:

Forest

Hordes of trees
Huddled together
In no particular form
Or fashion

Each his own
Some lean on others
Many hide
The great stand out

Some are weak
Some built strong

Several fat
Many are tall
They tower the short ones

They're all rooted to the ground
But some reach for the stars

They all get rained on
--but there are sunny days too

I think those are about to fall--
But they're still rooted

You know,
This sounds familiar

^ Blah, i know the tie-in is lame

This one i saw--a car passing by. I don't think it'll be offending...i hope not, i mean, i wasn't really assuming anything--the poem just grew into what it is *slightly unsure* I rather liked it

Glimpse of Pain

Cars zoom by
Everywhere!
Left
And right--out of
Nowhere

A blue van
passes us
I glimpse
A girl
In the front seat
She's bald--
She's laughing

There's a crumpled dent
On the back

Well, that's it--a pretty large batch too. ^O^

Woohoo! I <3 that movie! OMG, lol, it was so intense.. I wouldn't call it scary though... kinda creepy (the aliens were a little too cute ) My hand was like shaking afterwards though, so weird. Lolol, yeah he's a "dude". His poems are awesome (as are yours)! You should read them sometime. Anyways, your newest ones are great and the ones before were so cute *hugs them*. Can't wait for more.
