|  Fire Meets Ice= Lilly's Poems
I just needed to be heard and I've found a way: post the poems I write (since I do write a lot of them) for others to read; for them to hate, enjoy, laugh at, cry about, or understand me. I'll give you a little taste. There will be plenty to go around, so don't worry. Some of my poems will be like this, and others completely different. See for yourself; I hope you like it.
*This Icy Sadness*
This sadness that I've found has taken me
It has engulfed me, drowned me
And It won't let go
It makes me scream
It makes me feel so bad I want to cry
But, no, I will not cry, I will not loose this battle
To shed a tear is to let It win
And I am a very sore looser
Yet, the ice cold pain and burning flames
Diminish my last strengths
I must fight the terrible blackness
The dim, dim, shadow-filled light that teases me and taughnts me
As I am left in a cold dark corner
Left alone to think my ugly thoughts
To wish upon a dead black sky
And hold inside my eerie feelings
To search and search, but never find
That inner light, that refreshing sip
Of cold, clear, and clean mountain water
The thirst is never-ending, spiraling me down to the damp ground
The searing pain that won't let go
It can not win, will never win, because I won't let It get me down
I'll find my strength, and with it I will fight until the very end
And I will show the sadness that I am stronger than It will ever be
I'll take that worthless feeling out and crush It beneath my silver hands
And triumph when he deed is done and the pain is gone
And the adrenaline runs high
But, for now, I will fight the fight and remember the night to come
When the burning flames of my fire melts it, thrice
The shear cold of the saddest ice

hello it's me. I wrote another poem, for those that are reading. Tomorrow's Past In a time and in a place Where the world has stopped its pace When memories have been erased The evil has yet to be faced Our minds are empty, our bodies still Baren landscape yet to fill Love is shattered, pain is flying People screaming, pride is dying When the world had seised to be Everyone will loik to me Asking questions Making suggestions But I'm not here I'm out facing my fear Got to catch it The fire's lit The flames are burning The world is turning Spinning, swirling, whirling, hurling, but wait Trying, but failing, to run from fate The tension's high As we're standing on a lie The lie is broken, it slips away Tomorrow's past is now taday As we're thinking, it's coming true The past's future to undo As it shatters, we all fall Wolves are howling to the make the call The world has stopped, there is no movement We are lokking, but finding no soothement The line between night and day disappears Just as the rain is the cloud's silent tears Look for the moon, but it is black With so much lost there's no turning back I am sweating as I wake Because I've found it's all a fake The is broken, it slips away Tomorrow's past is now today By ME Hope you liked it! | |
