Default Any Gold
Last night I dreamed
you were sculpted of gold.
Your features carved so perfectly.
Your smile captured forever,
frozen in the time between
"I love you."
and
"I'll miss you."

You stood so cold,
so hollow,
placid smile and golden eyes.
I touched the shining
perfection
of your face.
It was cold and lifeless.
Void.

I kissed your golden lips,
so soft I thought you wouldn't feel it,
but you must have.
You began to melt, your
gold sliding off of you in sheets.
Leaving you
flesh
and smiling a smile
more precious than any gold.

o world
wrap me in your beauty
shroud me in your lies
surround me in the soft caress
of nature in your eyes

o love
control me in your ease
take over my timid mind
cusion me from deadly falls
but never one to find

o fear
prevent me from my searching
control my reckless deeds
stop me from picking flowers
only to find weeds

o change
bind me tighly to the movement
dont let me run to stay
hold me quick and dont let go
and make me go away
