A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for.
Banner by me (GoldenSnake)
Heyyy, I'm Amy and I love to write but may not be the best. But I do like to share my works with my awesome fellow SS members And some may not make sense
This is a poem by Luna Lovegood, cause...well, she dream a lot
I Dream
I dance...
at the sight of spring,
and the fun that it'll bring.
I sing...
on my moment, when I shine,
forget all the worries, all is fine.
I cry...
and my voice shrills in despair.
How will my heart repair?
I wait...
for the end of my bumpy road
until it forbids to hold.
I crave...
for my wild wishes to come true
and where my desires lead to. I dream.
A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for.
This poem is Hermione's feelings towards Ron in the Half-Blood Prince:
His hair is like the glowing sun.
He's best friend with the Chosen One.
His eyes shine ever so bright.
He's as fit as a young, strong knight.
Hearing him talk is like hearing a song.
I think I'm in love, I've never been wrong.
But will he laugh at my bushy hair?
And if he did, will my heart tear?
We have been friends for years.
Sometimes we quarrel until flowing tears.
At good times we laugh, his smiles charm me.
We cared for each other, and let that still be.
But now we've been apart,
for he loved another and gave his heart.
I found myself wondering night and day,
when will be the time to make him pay.
What shall I do of these rough matters?
Should I move aside until my world scatters?
It's a bad time for love, these troubled times.
I feel so sour, like lemon-lime.
Love is a queer thing, must be handled with care.
Tears must be paid, whether for injustice or for fair.
A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate your compliments
I know I haven't posted in a long time, And I know I don't deserve any cookies but here is anyone that I made up when I was playing tennis and bored.
It's a riddle of a character from HP, see if you guys can guess it You kind of have to think outside of the box a little bit. ignore the first line! It tells you nothing about the character And btw, it know it doesn't rhyme, they're NEAR RHYMES.
I am cunning, I am sly.
I spy you with my tiny eyes.
When all is fine and all is safe,
I open my large, big eyes.
I am always smiling,
If you look on the right side.
Do not let that fool you,
My smile is just a lie.
I look outside and see a bird.
I wonder what it's like to fly.
I look down a stream and see a fish,
I let down my hook, haha! It's mine!

No guesses yet? Hmm...I'll post the explanation in the next post while I wait for some guesses Okay, time for a new poem. This time, it's what Snape was thinking before his death
His eyes looked fierce.
But I will not step aside.
Thinking about the truth and lies,
A river flooded inside.
The Boy does not yet know the truth
Of the power the Dark Lord can produce.
He doesn't know what we'd done for him,
Nor the reason his past is so dim.
If only I just had one more chance
To take one last quick glance
At those two warm green eyes
that made my heart fly so high.
The snake slithered closer.
My heart sank lower.
I closed my eyes but never feared.
Death is just a mystery uncleared.
I am lying down, blood is near.
Someone is coming, I can hear.
The Boy rushed to my side
and took the secrets I had hide.
At last my heart is set.
No more secrets no more fret.
Just me and loneness, flying away.
My thoughts, memories, and love will stay.
A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for.

SPOILER!!: Answer and Explaination
The Answer is: Crookshanks
I am cunning, I am sly. ---the basic traits of cats
I spy you with my tiny eyes. ---if you haven't noticed, cats tends to do that with their eyes narrows, though some say they narrow their eyes when the light is bright. There are a whole lot of theories
When all is fine and all is safe, ---
I open my large, big eyes. --- ---cats widen their pupils when they feel safe and secure, and some say they do that when the light is dim.
I am always smiling, ---
If you look on the right side. ---meaning that if you look on the sides of a cat's face, you can see that it is always smiling
Do not let that fool you, ---
My smile is just a lie. ---when they're smiling on each side, doesn't mean they're meaning it
I look outside and see a bird. ---
I wonder what it's like to fly. ---
I look down a stream and see a fish, ---
I let down my hook, haha! It's mine! ---all of the above says that cats are really curious, and looks to observe the wilderness and dream and imagine
New poem! This is when Harry realized what he must do to destroy ALL the horcruxes after seeing Snape's memory.
I came out of the pensieve, shivering with cold.
I now took concern of the knowledge I behold.
I now know the truth and to my loves I said my prayer.
I know what I must do to destroy the terror.
I wish of more time to think and to realize.
Why so many tears and why so many cries.
But soon I'll unite with the ones I had lost,
And the pain they all had to pay with the cost.
Bless the souls that all had been with me.
Without them, tell me, where would I be?
I only wish for all to return to the peace,
Where darkness and evil will all come to cease.
A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for.

The Three Deathly Hallows
One split itself into three.
Own all and from death you're free.
The wise and fools have tried to preceive.
All to death, they tried to deceive.
One had passed from hands to hands.
One is unknown from these lands.
One is well hidden from death and all,
Kept secret, the generation will never fall.
Beware of the wand that beats all others,
And the enemy the holder most bothers.
The wand changes allegiance, the wand betrays.
The fullfilled history so quickly fades.
Amazed by the stone that rises the dead.
No mere spells no nothing said.
Turned with the hand and here they appear.
But the dead to life, they all so fear.
The cloak that makes us all unseen.
Faithfully, to its wearer it clings.
Unlike the two, this one defends,
Protects from death just like a fence.
Are they legends or are they real?
Or simply magical objects hidden to steal?
Are such things so cruel to hear?
They might just change a mind to fear.

New poem guys! At last. I wrote this in a very short amoung of time so not the best one :/
It's from the perspective of Hermione, looking out the Hogwarts castle window in the morning of Buckbeak's execution in the Prisoner of Azkaban.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
His great attentive eyes glisten with envy,
Gazing longingly at the birds that fly in glee.
Though the dreams only last for so long,
Really was far beyond where he truly belong.
He watched and dreamed. I felt him sigh.
Until his head dropped for a silent cry.
Why couldn't this just be a nightmare?
I could never forget the hopelessness in his glare.
The morning flourishes with namless color glows.
The clock still ticks and the time still flows.
We can never hide from this terrible lie.
But I still pray for his dream to roam the sky.
