Chapter 26

Harry left the twins in the kitchen and walked out the back door. How could he have forgotten his own birthday? Ginny hadn't stopped talking about it all week as well...

Lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice Hermione and Ginny pass him on their way into the house, and he didn't see Ron either. Well, not until they walked into each other anyway...

There you are... Gin's been looking for you and Hermione... While I was talking to the twins... Where is Hermione and Ginny anyway?" Harry asked as he stood up and held out a hand for Ron.

"You've walked past them mate... Gin said hi and Hermione waved. Did you not see them? And why in the merlin's pants were you talking to the twins?" Ron said incredulously as they walked back to the house and up to his room.

"Don't worry...I'm sure you'll hear about it later..." Harry said as he sunk into his camp bed. They sat up there talking and laughing when a high pitched scream echoed from somewhere below them. Harry jumped up and ran to the door, pulling his wand out on the way.

"You don't need that mate... Not yet anyway... That was probably Ginny, which means that Hermione's told her..." Ron carried on mumbling until Harry cut in.

"If your gonna say it, SPIT IT OUT ALREADY!" Harry said, raising his voice at the end.

"Well... When you and Ginny went to the-" Ron started but Harry spoke over the top.

"I don't need the full length story... I know you spoke to Hermione. Spill it" Harry said as he sat back down. "Spill it or suffer..." He laughed as he lifted his wand up.

Ron knew Harry was playing about and shook his head, his ears slowly turning red and looking anywhere but Harry.

"Iaskedherout..." Was all Harry heard as Ron mumbled to his knees.

"Sorry? I meant spit out so I can understand you Ron..." He said, stowing his wand back in his jeans.

"I... I asked... Asked her out..." Ron stuttered as Harry grinned at him.

"FINALLY! Do you know how long EVERYONE has tried to get you to ask her! Wait... you might want to hide... Gin's coming" Harry said as he opened the door again.

Before Ron could move, Ginny had run into the room and hit him.

"Ronald! Your so stupid sometimes!" Ginny cried as Harry stood at the door in complete shock.

"OW! Ginny! Wha- OW" was all Ron could say as Ginny started punching him.

"You've had six years to ask her and you choose NOW!" Ginny said, punching her brother with every word.

Then Harry come to his senses and stepped forwards as Hermione appeared in the door way.

"GINNY! STOP IT!"

"Gin, come on, leave him alone now! Gin!"

"GEROFF ME!"

At the same time, Ron, Harry and Hermione shouted, causing Ginny to stop and look round, tears still splashing onto her chest.

"W- what?" She said looking at Harry, who took the opportunity to seize her hands.

"Calm down! Ron doesn't need to be knocked out! Come on, stop crying..." Harry said as he pulled her close to him.

Hermione walked in and sat next to Ron and placed her hand on his.

"Are you okay?" She said, unable to control her laughter any longer.

Chapter 27

After Harry had calmed Ginny down and Ron had gotten over his attack, Hermione told the rest of the family, who told everyone else.

The next day found the Burrow full of people laughing and joking, people outside running around and a large cake fight when Ginny had pushed her slice of cake in Harry's face.

As Mrs Weasley started to clear up some of the cake, a flash of light passed over the house. As everyone looked up, Seamus fell to the floor and started twitching and screaming.

Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny ran over to him. Ginny knelt down and tried to calm him.

Harry mumbled something but all Ron heard was 'Cruciatus' and 'Voldemort'. Hermione went to kneel next to Seamus but Ron rabbed her hand and pulled her into the house.

"It won't work Gin... WHY SEAMUS? WHY NOT GO STRAIGHT FOR ME?" Harry shouted, spinning on the spot and searching the sky.

Seamus's screams stopped and a popping noise filled the air. Harry drew his wand and pointed it over Ginny's shoulder. Slowly Ginny turned her head and looked out towards the driveway.

"Ginny, it's okay! Just draw your wand!" Harry whispered, not taking his eyes off the line of Death Eaters watching them. "WELL? IS IT JUST YOU OR IS HE HIDING?" Harry yelled, his eyes taking in his surroundings.

He didn't get an answer. Instead the Death Eaters fired curses at the guests, who retaliated. Mrs Weasley pulled Ginny up off the floor, grabbed Harry and headed for the house.

Harry headed straight for the living room where Hermione was acing and Ron was sitting on the couch.

"Is he here?" Hermione said as she stopped and looked up at Harry.

When he shook his head she continued pacing.

Harry lowered himself into a chair and looked up at Ginny. She was shaking and twisting her fingers round her necklace. "Don't worry Gin, it'll be okay... But I'm going back out there..."

"No. Stay here, please" Ginny whispered as she walked over to him. She was shaking so bad that Harry thought she would fall so he grabbed her and pulled her down so she was huddled in the chair with him.

"Ginny, remember what we spoke about yesterday? I'm most scared for those I'm not with... Well there's about 25 people out there, all fighting to keep us safe" Harry whispered to her.

"I know but still... What if something happens to you?" Ginny had started crying now.

"Nothing will... I promise" Harry said as he wiped her tears away. He stood up and then turned back to her. "I want you to stay here... Same with you Hermione" And with that, he kissed Ginny and walked out.

"Hermione, I agree with Harry on this one... Stay in the house, contact anyone you can who's in the order and not here. I'll be back later" Ron said as he hugged her. Walking to the door, he looked back and watched as Hermione fell on the couch and hid her face.

Pushing open the back door, Ron drew his wand and walked with Harry round to the front of the house.

Just to let you know, this is on the internet... It gets updated fairly often and has some more story on it as well as some funny icons. Hopefully, I'll be able to add other stories as i go so... who knows!

Right, well... this chapter is about Ginny but it doesn't actually say it... It's kinda awkward to explain so just read it... XD

Watching Harry walk out the door was torture to her. She wanted to be waking out that door with him but she knew that if she did, she would be a distraction to him and he wouldn't be able to concentrate properly.

She could hear Ron talking to Hermione but couldn't distinguish the words properly. Then she watched her brother walk out the door as well.

She turned to Hermione, and watched as she fell onto the couch and hid her face. She had always been between the boys during a fight and now they had told her to stay inside.

She let the tears fall freely as she looked down at the necklace Harry had given her. How she wanted to be next to him now. Her tears hot on her cheeks as she spoke to Hermione.

"I- i'm going u- upstairs and finding o- out what's happening. C- come on, there's a f- fire place up t- there in the office, we c- can go there"

She watched as Hermione's tear- stained face looked up at her and nodded.

Walking up the stairs, her footfalls seemed to echo around her. Each one counting down till Harry returned.

Up in the office, she peered out the window, down into the fight below. She watched as her dad shot a spell at a Death Eater, she saw the twins fighting together, She spotted Tonks battling with two Death Eaters and as Hagrid threw one over the wall. Then saw saw them. Harry and Ron, back to back, wands raised, standing in the center of a circle of Death Eaters, waiting.

Her heart hammered in her chest as she watched Harry talking to Ron. somewhere behind her she heard Hermione's voice.

"Professor Dumbledore"

She tore her eyes away from the fight and walked towards the fire as Dumbledore's head appeared in the fire.

"Miss Granger? Miss Weasley? Is there a problem?"

"Death Eaters are here sir. They're fighting outside now" Hermione said as her eyes travelled to the window.

"I'm guessing Harry is out there Ginny?"

Her eyes returned to Dumbledore as she nodded. His voice was full of concern. Again, the window attracted her eye as a single tear escaped.

"So is Ron. They said that me and Ginny had to stay and contact people from the Order Professor" Hermione explained.

The voices around her sounded distant as she kept glancing at the window. Unable to control herself, he walked back to the window and searched for Harry. This time she told Hermine and Dumbledore what she could see.

"Lupin and Mum are dueling someone, Hagrid is still throwing them over the wall when they fall, Tonks is hurt, So is Luna and Neville but they're still fighting, Dean is being looked after by Dad, I think he's out cold..." She listed what she could see but didn't voice what was going through her head. 'Where are they?'... Then Dumbledore's voice broke through her thoughts.

"They'll be okay. If they rescue you from the Chamber of Secrets," She shivered as the thought returned to her, "then they can survive this Miss Weasley" Even though the thought that something had happened was still in her head, she smiled.

"Very well, I shall contact the others, you and Miss Weasley stay here and contact me if Voldemort shows up. Goodbye" And Dumbledore was gone.

In the silence that followed she continued to search from the window. Hermione had joined her now. She still saw no sign of them. There was no sign of a fight. Not a single Death Eater...

Then there was shouts from below.

"GINNY? HERMIONE?"

That was really exciting. It was good for a battle scene because it' so fast paced and you can really get a feel for what the battle is like. You get the sense of panic and confusion that everyone is feeling really well.
I liked the bit inside too, it was really descriptive.

But where did they all go?????

Ginny didn't wait for Hermione as she raced down the stairs towards th bottom of the stairs.

She had hot tears pouring down her face as she stopped at the top of the last flight of stairs. Her face broke out into a smile as she run down them and jumped on Harry.


"Harry! Oh... Harry! I was so worried!!" She sobbed into his shoulder as he wrapped his arms round her laughing.

"Gin, I promised didn't I?" Harry said as he pulled her off and directed her to the couch. "Did you contact anyone?" Harry directed at Hermione as Ginny buried herself in his shoulder again.

"Yes. I contacted Dumbledore... And he said that he would contact everyone else" Hermione said as Ron wrapped his arm round her shoulders.

"At least they know they were here... But it still doesn't tell us why" Ron said as Hermione rested her head on his shoulder. Harry looked over at Ron and pulled a face.

"If your really that stupid Ron, I should let Ginny loose on again..." He laughed as a watery chuckle escaped Ginny, who had sat up and mirrored Hermione, tucking her feet under her and wrapping her arm round Harry.

"No! I mean..." Ron said, a spark of fear in his eye which made Harry roar with laughter and Ginny laugh more.

"Harry, don't say it..." Hermione said as she sat up and looked at him.

"They found out I was either here or I come here all the time... The question is not why, it's how?" Harry said, ignoring Hermione.

Ginny's laughter stopped and Harry looked down at her n time to see her face whiten.

"B- but that means s- someone told them w- where our house is..." She stammered as Harry moved so he could place an arm round her.

"No Ginny, it means someone at the Ministry is with them. Someone with access to Harry's folder, so they know where he goes, what he does and... who his friends are..." Ron said, pausing and looking up at Harry, whose face held a look of total shock plastered on his face.

Guess what!?! I FOUND IT!!! And I got the day wrong... I forgot about August 31st!!

Over the next couple of days Harry had spoken to anyone he knew was connected to the Ministry. But nothing was out of the ordinary.

They were now in one of the Taxi's Mrs Weasley had gotten, on their way to King's Cross Station. Harry sat with his head on the window and Ginny's hand in his. Both Hermione and the latter were asleep while the boys had been talking quietly together.

"Don't eat yourself up Harry. You tried to figure it out but there's no need to knock yourself out 'coz you found nothing..." Ron said as Harry smashed his head against the window over and over again, jolting Ginny out of her slumber.

"Wha- I'm awake!" She exclaimed as Ron started laughing. "What happened?" She asked as she watched Harry carry on hitting the window.

"He's angry with himself... He thinks it's... his fault they attacked the Burrow" Hermione said as she sat up yawning. Ron wrapped his hand round hers and smiled.

"Yeah, but if he's not careful, he'll knock himself out..." He laughed and Ginny threw him one of her 'run and hide' looks, as Harry called them.

"Oh shut up Ron..." She spat at him before turning to Harry. Putting her hand on his back, she spoke in a softer voice. "Hey, stop it..." Somehow, he listened and turned to face her.

"It's so annoying! I know that I can find out who it was but..." Harry made a frustrated noise and rested his head on Ginny's. "Sorry that I woke you up... I've been a right git since the fight as well... I'm sorry" He said as Ginny rolled her eyes at Hermione, who smiled.

"No you haven't Harry... You've been trying to find out who lead the attack at the Burrow. That's nothing to apologise for" Ginny said as she brushed away a stray lock of hair that was dancing in front of her eyes.

"Here we are, Kings Cross Station..." Came the driver's voice as the Taxi shuddered to a halt.

Harry and Hermione paid the driver while Ron and Ginny started unloading the trunks. Soon they were making their way through the station towards Platform 9 3/4.

Once having said goodbye to Mrs Weasley, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny settled in a compartment at the back of the train. As the Hogwarts Express started moving, the compartment door opened to reveal Neville and Luna.

"Hi guys, mind if we join you?" Neville said as Ginny waved at Luna.

"Not at all Neville. Come on in" Hermione said as she lifted Crookshanks up so he could sit down.

The six of them were talking about the attack at the Burrow when a laugh drew their eyes to the door, which had been left open since Dean and Seamus had stopped by to say hi.

"Aww, Potter's all upset that they nearly blew up his birthday cake" Draco Malfoy drawled from the door way. Crabbe and Goyle grinning behind him.

"Shove off Malfoy" Ron said as he stood up, drawing his wand.

"Not very nice Weaslebee... Showing off for your Mudblood of a girlfriend?" Malfoy sat as his eyes landed on Hermione as she opened her mouth to speak. "Opps, I forgot. You're not together are you... Shame. Not even a blood traitor will go out with you Granger..."

Harry and Ginny were now on their feet in front of Ron, pointing their wands at Malfoy, who drew his own. Harry was furious and had had enough. Ginny was mad but held her tounge as someone else spoke.

"Actually Malfoy, your wrong" Neville said as he and Luna rose out of their seats and stood next to wrong. "Ron and Hermione are together. So is Harry and Ginny. So shove off" He said, pointing his wand in Malfoy's face.

"Whatever Longbottom... Come on Crabbe, Goyle. Let's go" And with that, the three Slytherins walked away, down the carriage.

Luna stepped forwards and shut the compartment door as Harry threw himself into his seat.

"I'm not taking anything from Malfoy this year. I'm just going to curse him" He said as Ron sat down opposite and nodded.

"He's in for a shock this year" He said, a hint of insanity in his voice.

"Oh for heaven's sake! Will you two please calm down!" Hermione said as she sat next to Ron. Ginny plonked herself between Harry and Luna and nodded.

"You two are better off ignoring them... Don't look at me like that Harry! I mean it!" She exclaimed as Harry turned to argue with her. "I don't care what you say, your not to curse him" She scolded and Harry dropped it.

The lunch trolley arrived and Harry, Neville and Ron bought the girls something to eat while the latter talked for a while.

When entering the compartment with full arms, Ron and Neville tarted handing Luna and Hermione their sweets while Harry stopped in the door way.

"Harry? You okay?" Ginny asked as she stood up. Harry's face was screwed up and he was swaying on the spot. "Harry?" Now everyone else in the compartment looked up.

"Harry? You okay mate?" Ron asked as confusion showed upon his face. Ginny stepped forwards and stood in front of Harry.

"Harry? Can you hear me? What the-" She said as she backed away from him. As she had extended a hand towards him, his eyes had opened. But they wasn't Harry's eyes.

Ron caught Ginny as she fell over Neville's legs, Hermione sent Crookshanks flying as she stood up and Luna pushed herself away from Harry. Each person had their eyes focused on Harry.

His eyes, normally a sparkling emerald green, were a glowing blood red.

Hermione stepped forwards but retreated when Harry's head shot up at her.

He moved his gaze slowly over each person in the compartment, as if seeing them for the first time.

Then he stopped on Ginny. She was pure white, even her hair had lost some of it's colour, and was staring at Harry with her mouth open wide.

Harry cocked his head to one side like a toddler examining something as Ginny stepped forwards a little. As she neared him, Hermione spoke, her voice cracked and quiet.

"Ginny, be careful. Remember that's not Harry looking at you! He's been... Possessed" Her voice was shaky and full of fright. It seemed that she was right because Harry smiled as she said it.

"H- Harry? I- is that y- you?" Ginny said cautiously as she reached him.

"No" The voice echoed round them and Ron's eyes widened. They all knew that voice, that voice had haunted Harry all his life.

"You look so much like his mother..." Voldemort's voice cut through Ginny and she stumbled as she backed away.

Neville just sat there, staring at Harry with large round eyes and Luna huddled next to him. Ron and Hermione both lent forwards to grab Ginny but Harry beat them there.

Gripping her arm hard, he pulled her up. But he didn't let go.

"Does it hurt?" Ginny shook her head as Voldemort's voice came out of Harry once more. "It hurts Potter though... Put your wand away, silly little Mudblood..." Hermione looked up sharp and dropped her wand on the seat. Harry wasn't even looking at her...

Suddenly, Harry's hand let Ginny go. as she fell to the floor, Harry grabbed the scar on his forehead. Slowly his eyes closed and re-opened.

"Harry!" Ginny exclaimed as she looked up into two watery emerald eyes. "Are you oka- HARRY!" She said loudly as Harry's knees buckled and he fell to the floor.

She scrambled over to him and rolled him onto his back as he murmured to himself.

"Harry..." Luna said softly as sh knelt down beside Ginny.

"Never... Call... Her... That... Word!" Harry shouted as angry tears spilled down his cheeks. As Ginny went to wipe them away, Harry's hand raised once more to his scar and he started twitching and screaming.

"Don't hurt Gin! Please! Don't hurt her!" Harry yelled as he flung his arm up and it ht Luna across the cheek.

"Harry! I'm okay! I'm right here!" Ginny said as she laid a hand on the top of Harry's head.

Ron and Neville were now on the floor, trying to lift Harry onto the seats but he was moving around too much.

"No... where's Ron and Hermione? What have you done with them?" Harry shouted as his fist made contact with Neville's jaw and his foot hit Ron's knee.

"We're right here Harry! We're okay! They haven't done anything to us!" Hermione said softly but still he didn't listen to them.

"Don't you dare hurt them! Where are they? Leave Luna alone! Don't touch her! NO!"

Harry was now kicking his legs about and ne of them made contact with Seamus's stomach.

"What th- Oof!" Seamus said as Hermione directed him to one of the seats and Ron sat on Harry as an attempt to keep him still.

"Geez, I come down to see how you lot are and I get kicked in the stomach..." Seamus said as he watched Harry talk to himself again.

"Ron! Get off him! Your not helping at all! Wait! He's stopped now!" Hermione said as she jumped of the seat.

Harry had stopped talking now but was still twitching every now and then. Slowly, Ron stood up and Seamus helped him and Neville put Harry on the seats.

For the rest of the journey, Ginny and Luna sat with harry on one side of the compartment while Ron, Hermione and Neville filled Seamus and in on what happened.

I would love the link for this story on the internet. And your English teacher dosen't know what shes talking bout. Mine said the same thing. and now look i've writen on story and one one shot and staring two more. so don't listen to them.

Harry started to wake as the train neared Hogsmeade Station. He raised his hand to his face and groaned, catching the attention of the silent compartment.

"Hey. You okay now?" Ginny said as she placed her hand on his cheek, smiling softly.

"Wha- What happened?" Harry said as he sat up, still holding his head. Ginny looked at Ron and Hermione, who exchanged glances before answering.

"Harry, you when we went to the Ministry? And You- Know- Who possessed you to get to Dumbledore?" Ron paused as Harry nodded.

"Well... He done it again. Only this time he didn't do it to get at anyone... He seemed to want to see us... Through your eyes... And he spoke to Ginny" Hermione said to the floor, refusing to look anywhere else as Ron hugged her shoulders.

"What? What did he, I, say?" Harry said as he turned to look at Ginny. She looked up at him and then back down at her hands.

"He said that I looked so much like your Mum... He said that it was a shame... Can't you remember anything Harry?" Ginny added quickly, trying to get off the subject.

"No... The last thing I remember was you handing me your money... I remember walking out of here and my head felt like it had split open but I ignored it... Then it's blank, but I remember someone calling Hermione a... Well, I thought it was Malfoy, but then it's blank until now..." Harry explained as he screwed his face up. Neville turned and looked at him.

"You don't remember shouting about us?" He questioned. Harry looked at him and shook his head.

"No... I do- Wait... Yeah I do! I could see a sort of broken image of the school. It kept on going from the school, to Ginny, to Ron and Hermione, back to the school where coloured lights were flashing, to you and Luna, then back to Ginny..." He explained. Ron and Hermione looked worried and Ginny looked confused.

"Why? Wha- What happened in here?" Harry asked as he looked from Neville's black eye, to Luna's cut cheek and the finger marks on Ginny's arm. Again, Ginny didn't answer straight away, but she looked up at him with a scared look on her face.

"You" She said quietly and Harry's hand dropped from his head where he was running his fingers through his messed up hair.

"I- Wha- Me?" He stuttered as he looked into each face. They all wore an expression that told him it was true. He went to say something about it but Ginny cut him off.

"Don't apologise. We know you didn't mean it really... That was the only way we knew it was you... Seamus said that you might of thought we were Death Eaters or something..." she said as she rested her hand on his shoulder. "Apart from my arm... You didn't do that. Voldemort did" She said as Harry placed his hand round her waist.

Before Harry could do anything but move, Luna spoke.

"I can see the school, we better get changed"

The six of them made their way to the Great Hall, where Luna headed to the Ravenclaw Table while Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Neville headed for the Gryffindor table where they joined Jamie and Alicia.

Jamie Starlight and Alicia Daniels were in Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville's year. Jamie was Pure- blood and his family were good friends with the Weasley's whereas Alicia was Muggle- born but showed the signs of magical blood like a Pure- blood because Alicia was a Metamorphmagus.

"Where were you two? Cor, Alicia. Can't you get any brighter today?" Hermione said as she sat opposite Ron.

"Why? What's wrong?" Alicia said as she looked up at the new students lining up ready to be sorted. Her hair was Ruby red, shoulder length and had a blue streak in the fringe.

"Alicia, Hermione does have a point... You are attracting a lot of attention with your hair... You couldn't tone it down a bit could you?" Harry said as Ginny glared at a second year Hufflepuff.

"It's rude to stare" She snapped and the girl turned red and turned away. Harry and Jamie laughed as Rebecca Molloy became a Slytherin.

Alicia pretended to be hurt by the boys laughter. "Fine... What colour is toned down then?" she asked as Ron started laughing but Jamie stopped.

"Hey! How come you'll change it for them but when I asked, you just put the blue in!" He said as Ginny clapped for Sarah Adams became a Gryffindor.

"Well... I have no answer to that but I knew it would annoy you" Alicia said , a smile spreading across her face as Jamie stuck his tounge at her.

"Oh will you two grow up!" Ginny laughed as Alicia pulled a face in return. "You'd never guess you were in sixth year the way you act!"

"Why don't you try blonde? We haven't seen you blonde yet..." Harry piped up before they started arguing like last time. It had been during his fourth year and they were arguing about how mature they were, up in the common room while he was trying to figure out the second clue.

Alicia stuck her tounge out at Jamie one last time then screwed her face up in concentration.

"Happy now?" Alicia said as her sleek blonde hair fell over her shoulders.

"Very. Love the red streak though..." Jamie said as he brushed a stray hair out of her face. Ginny giggled and Ron rolled his eyes.

"Oh yeah! I got a letter from your Mum Ginny..." Jamie said as he ignored Ron. "It mentioned something about you, Harry, Hermione and your brother..." He said with a grin as Ron's laughter died down.

"Oh... Yeah well, that's not all of it. As you missed Harry's birthday you wouldn't know about the D- OW" Ron said but Hermione kicked him under the table.

She shook her head as the table next to them erupted as the last person was sorted into Hufflepuff.

"I have two words for you all, Tuck in" Dumbledore said and as he clapped, the plates filled.

"Excellent... I'm so hungry!" Ron said as he stretched across Hermione towards the chicken legs.

Hermione refused to talk about what happened at the Burrow and what happened to Harry on the way to the school until they reached the Common Room.

Settling down on the couches, Hermione finally let Ron tell them about the attack.

"What? They just disappeared?" Jamie said as Alicia sat next to him. "Weird... Al, can you please release the death grip you have on my hand?" He said as he grimaced.

"Sorry!" Alicia said as she let go slightly. "What happened on the train?" She asked suddenly as She watched Ginny and Harry exchange glances.

"Wha-? You know, you really should keep your special gifts to yourself... You don't see me shouting my mouth off in Parsel- tounge all the time do you?" Harry said as Ginny looked down at her hands.

"Oh well... Just tell us or I'll find out my way!" Alicia said, waving her hands impatiently.

"It's nothing! Just the same as what happened at the Ministry... You know..." Harry said. Jamie shook his head but Alicia's jaw dropped.

"Again?" She said loudly, which made Jamie turn and look at her.

"Hey! That's cheating! Tell me!" He moaned and Alicia rolled her eyes at him.

'Voldemort possessed him again' Alicia thought as she looked at him. His jaw dropped too and he looked at Harry.
