The song is My Last Breath by Evanescence.
This is a one-shot song fic. My first song-fic also, so I tried.
Another... somewhat-YouTube-vid-inspired fic (the video was a Harry one, this is Dramione).
Anyways, like I said, this is a D/Hr one-shot-song-fic, so yeah, enjoy! Just parts of the song are used in here (not repeating the chorus or repeating verses basically), so ya
I think it turned out great, I never thought I could do something as... strong as this I guess you can say (aka, make myself cry).
Enjoy

Hold on to me love
you know i can't stay long
All i wanted to say was i love you and I’m not afraid
Can you hear me?
Can you feel me in your arms?
Draco watched in horror as Hermione was slowly crushed by the Cruciatus Curse. He had tried to stop it, but his attempts were futile. He knew there was no point in trying to stop the Death Eater, but it pained him to hear Hermione’s fresh screams, they penetrated the air harshly as she crumpled into a smaller ball on the ground. Suddenly, the red light was gone, leaving Hermione on the ground, unmoving.
He ran up beside her and fell to her side, looking into her face. She was panting, shallow breaths escaping her lips. She was shaking, as if still under a light Cruciatus Curse. She weakly reached out to Draco, and he gently took a hold of her hand.
“You’ll be ok, Hermione. You’ll be fine...” he kept saying. Hermione shook her head shakily.
“No...” her voice shook. Draco let go of her hand and slipped his arm underneath her back, and the other under her legs. He picked her up off the ground, and Hermione reached out and hugged him. A stream of words came from her, but Draco couldn’t understand what she was saying.
holding my last breath
safe inside myself
are all my thoughts of you
sweet raptured light it ends here tonight
Draco’s mind ran quickly. Where was the strong, courageous ‘Granger girl’ he had come to know and love? Memories of their 7th year as Head Boy and Head Girl raced through his mind, the past few years of him hiding out at Grimmauld Place, how they had stayed together for the past two and a half years. He didn’t understand why Hermione seemed to give up on life already, she had so much to live for.
I’ll miss the winter
a world of fragile things
look for me in the white forest
hiding in a hollow tree (come find me)
i know you hear me
i can taste it in your tears
Draco’s eye was caught by the ring on Hermione’s finger. He remembered the day he gave it to her, how they had begun making plans for their wedding. They knew the final battle was coming soon, so they decided to wait. Hermione kept on saying she would for a winter wedding, a wedding in the snow-encased fields, surrounded by crystal-glistening trees. Unable to fight it anymore, a tear slipped down Draco’s cheek and onto Hermione’s robes, which shook with her.
Closing your eyes to disappear
you pray your dreams will leave you here
but still you wake and know the truth
no one's there
The shaking in Draco’s arms seemed to subside, Hermione’s body was unmoving. Closing his eyes, Draco prayed Hermione had only fainted, he hoped she was still with him. He couldn’t be left all alone, she was the one that kept him living, the one that made him change, made him be human.
He looked at his shoulder that Hermione’s head rest upon, and her eyes had closed. She didn’t flinch, didn’t blink. Draco desperately hoped Hermione would wake up and say it was all a joke, that she was fine and everything would be. He caressed her arm with the hand around her back, but she still had not moved. Her grip around him had lightened, she felt limp and heavier in his arms.
Say goodnight
don't be afraid
calling me calling me as you fade to black
Tears slid down Draco’s pale face as he looked into Hermione’s lifeless face. He didn’t want to face it, he couldn’t imagine a life without her. He could hear her soft voice in his mind, he remembered the things she had said and told him within the past three years, hypnotizing him with her melodic tone. His head was bowed over her, he didn’t want to be seen crying.
“Rest in peace, Hermione,” he managed to whisper. He knew she would never return, but his eternal flame for her would never be lost.
