Okay everyone here is the second to last chapter of I'll Stand By You. I hope you all enjoy. And the last chapter will be posted up tomorrow...
Chapter 23:
Days turned into months and Hermione had not seen or heard of Draco.
“Hermione you can’t move there though. You are a witch for crying out loud!” Harry and Ron yelled at the same time.
“It’s New York! My parents live there and there are witches and wizards everywhere you go these days!” Hermione sighed.
“But you don’t really want to go do you?” Harry asked.
“No…but I am tired of people watching me all the time and whispering “She’s the one who left that poor handsome boy on their wedding day”. I mean how did they all find out!?”
Ron cleared his throat.
Hermione shot him a dirty look and said, “I should have known.”
“I am from a big family here! Of course it would leak out, my brothers are Fred and George you know!” Ron said throwing his hands up.
The next morning Hermione packed her bags into a taxi, which would take her to the airport.
“Doing everything muggle style I see” said the taxi driver.
Hermione looked up to see the face of an old man she did not recognize.
“Um…what style?” Hermione said trying to sound clueless.
The taxi driver just smiled and opened the door for Hermione. Hermione got in. Did he know she was a witch? And who was he?
The drive to the airport was long and silent. It took three hours to get there and once there Hermione boarded the plan.
The flight was ten hours in total. And at the airport her parents greeted her with open arms. She would be staying with them a couple of days.
Only three days passed however when an unexpected visitor arrived.
“Hello Mrs. Granger” Drcao said as Hermione’s mom opened the door.
“If you are here to hurt my daughter even more oh trust me I don’t need a wand to cause pain in your body” Mrs. Granger snapped.
“Now I see where Hermione gets her temper from” Draco mumbled.
“Excuse me?”
“I mean is Hermione here? I came to apologize. It took me over two months to realize that I can’t live without her and that I need her more than ever”.
Mrs. Granger’s face softened as Draco said these words.
“She is not here. She got a job at a café as a waitress. She wanted to take time off from the ministry since she knew she would bump into you one day. The café is down the street.”
Draco smiled, “Thanks Mrs. Granger I appreciate it”.
“Oh and if she asks I didn’t tell you”.
“You got it” Draco said as he left towards the café.
“Hello and welcome to the Blue moon café” the doorman greeted Draco.
“Thanks” Draco replied as he entered.
“Your total is $3.74”.
Draco looked over at the cashier. It was Hermione.
“This next song is by Celien Dion”.
Draco turned towards a stage he had not noticed. On stage there was a girl who had a wonderful voice.
Draco moved towards the stage and asked a woman who was sitting near by “Is she taking requests?”
“Yes she is” the woman replied rather breathless. She seemed to be taken away by Draco's looks.
Draco smiled, “Thanks”.
He knew however that she would not have fancied him if she had seen him a few weeks ago as an old man driving a taxi.
Draco waited for the woman on stage to stop singing before making his request.
“Can you sing this song” Draco asked writing down the name on a piece of paper.
“I sure can. Would you like to give a special message before the song?” the woman asked.
"I think the song will say it all” Draco said.
“Alright then.”
Now speaking into the microphone the woman said, “Everybody here is our next song…”

Okay everyone...here it is, The last chapter to I'll Stand By You. I hope you all enjoy and before you all go on to read the last chapter I would like to thank all my active readers. You all stuck with my story and were patient even when it took me forever to post a chapter! Thank you all once again! I love you all!
Chapter 24:

I'll stand by you…
Hermione dropped the tray she was holding. She looked up towards the stage and watched the woman singing and then he appeared out from behind her.
“I can’t believe I’m doing this” Draco thought as he entered the spotlight.
So, if you're mad, get mad
Don't hold it all inside
Come on and talk to me now
Hey, what you got to hide?
I get angry too
Well, I'm a lot like you
When you're standing at the crossroads
and don't know which path to choose
Let me come along
'Cause even if you're wrong...
I'll stand by you

Hermione joined in. She couldn’t believe he was here. He actually came looking for her.
Won't let nobody hurt you
I'll stand by you

and I'll never desert you
I'll stand by you
And when...
When the night falls on you, baby
You're feeling all alone
You won't be on your own
I'll stand by you...
There was applause from the crowd. Hermione smiled at Draco and said, “What are you doing here?”
“I came looking for you because I missed you” Draco replied taking Hermione’s hand.
“But how did you know I was here in New York?”
“Oh I have my ways” Draco winked.
That’s when Hermione noticed that the color of Draco’s eyes matched the color of the taxi driver’s eyes.
Hermione smiled and said, “I though I was going to have to live without you”.
“So did I” Draco replied as he led Hermione off the stage. And then he turned to her whispering, “I can’t control myself any longer” and kissed her.
Twenty five years later…
“I do” Hermione said as she looked into Draco’s eyes.
“And do you Draco…” the priest began,
“You don’t even have to ask,” Draco cut in. “because I do... Just like the first time”.
“Well then I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride”.
Draco leaned in and kissed Hermione.
“I love you” Draco whispered.
“So do I. See? I told you renewing our vows would be just as amazing as the first time.”
Draco smiled and looked down for someone was tugging at his pants.
“Daddy can I go to the potty now?” little Jacquelyn asked dancing around.
“Well of course you can, church is now over all that’s left is the party” Draco said lifting Jacquelyn up.
“Yay!” Jacquelyn clapped.
At the party Draco and Hermione barely saw each other due to talking to friends and greeting their guests.
“Yes thank you” Hermione smiled at Ginny as Ginny complimented her.
“Thanks Potter but if you don’t mind…” Draco said pointing to Hermione.
“Oh just get out of here!” Harry laughed.
“Jacquelyn needs to be in bed by nine!” Draco yelled as he ran off towards Hermione.
“Oh well actually…oh my goodness Draco!” Hermione said as she swooped up by Draco.
“Time to go hun sorry!” Draco smiled.
The couple appeared in a suite in Hawaii.
“When did we plan this?” Hermione asked looking out the window towards the ocean.
“I did about a day ago” Draco said. “I thought it would be romantic and nice”.
“What about…”
“Harry and Ginny are taking care of her until we get back” Draco said.
“I love you” Hermione sighed stretching out lying on the bed.
“Same here an you know I actually like the idea of renewing our vows now” Draco said lying next to her.
“And why is that?” Hermione asked.
“Because I get to prove that I Stand By You everyday and I will continue to do so the rest of my life”.
Hermione smiled and kissed Draco.
Troubles can cause couples to tear apart sometimes…but in the end love always reunites them and they always choose to stand by each other, no matter what.
I hope you all enjoyed the ending of I'll Stand By You! I had a blast writing it for all of you!
