It’s 3:30am in the morning at the time of writing, and I felt like writing a new Dramione... I thought of this song and a story for a bit, and right now I just felt like putting it together.
Just a fun, random idea of mine after I saw the music video to this song and was bored on a long car ride listening to the song on my iPod. It’s kind of a shallow song when you read it, but it’s very upbeat and a great song to dance to.

And another happy one-shot of mine! Yay... (no sad in it one bit, I swear!).
Obviously Dramione. I left out the whole summary stuff for once cause I felt like it, it’s kind of obvious what it’s about anyways (when you read).

In a sense, POV kind of changes around a bit in this one-shot.
And I was considering waiting this one out til the real New Years but I didn't originally think a New Years party for this story, just a party (it turned into what it is now basically. I had a similar, yet fairly different, plan for this song-fic).

Ginny sighed and pushed through the crowds of Order members, seeking out Harry and Ron. They knew there was a party going on at Lezzone, a club for underage wizards, but they knew they couldn’t go. Naturally, they went.

I’ll kill them, I swear... Ginny thought as she pushed her way towards the stairs. She quickly walked up them and disappeared from sight of the party below. Ginny continued up the staircase and stopped on the third landing. Taking a turn to her right, she headed for the last door on her left and shoved it open.

“What’re you doing?” Hermione exclaimed as Ginny shut the door.

“What are you doing? It’s New Years Eve and you’re reading a book?” Ginny snapped back, eyeing the book in Hermione’s hands disdainfully.

Hermione scowled, marked her page, and put it down on her desk.

“Well that ‘party’ downstairs is scary! I swear half of them were wasted before arriving!”

“There’s one place where we can have fun, you know,” Ginny pointed out mysteriously.

“No, we’re not allowed, Gin,” Hermione cut in flatly.

“Oh, come on! Have some fun while you still can! Break the rules, have fun at a real party for once...”

“Hey! I’ve been stuck at those Slug Club parties, I know what parties can be like,” Hermione responded, glaring.

“Yeah, you had a ball with Cormac,” Ginny drawled sarcastically. “Now come on... Harry and Ron left to go there anyways.”

Hermione’s mouth dropped.

“What?”

“Yeah, they’re gone. Don’t you want to go and...?”

“Let’s go,” Hermione cut in as she grabbed Ginny’s arm. They Disapparated from the bedroom and appeared outside the doors of the club, Lezzone. “Now, we’re only here to...”

Ginny let out a whoop of joy and ran inside, dancing her way through the crowds. Hermione sighed in annoyance and pushed her way through the crowds and found an empty table. In fact, it wasn’t all that hard, they were empty and pushed off to the sides to make room form more of a dance floor.

“Hermione! What’re you doing here?”

Hermione spun around and saw Ron with a Butterbeer in his hand.

“What’re you doing here?! You know you’re not supposed to...”

“Oh, lighten up, Mione! It’s fun here, much more enjoyable than listening to all those old songs mum was playing... you can crowd-surf here! Of course they already dropped Lavender and she nearly broke her leg, but it wouldn’t have been much of a loss, eh?”

“Ron!” Hermione cut in, appalled.

“Well I’ll see you later,” Ron said quickly. He pushed into the crowds and was carried away by the movement.

Hermione pulled out a chair and sat down hard, irritated that people actually wasted their New Years Eve on dancing and ‘crowd surfing’ and drinking, but they did have good music... Hermione covered one hand with the other to stop it from tapping along to the beat.

“Ok, we’re opening up the roof now for the fireworks!” someone announced, the voice cutting into the music. As soon as those words were spoken, the roof seemed to disappear, and a skylight appeared above them. The crowds screamed happily. “Five more minutes until the start of a new year!”

The music started back up as soon as the person was quiet.

“What’s a girl like you doing at a real party?”

Hermione looked to the seat next to her and saw Draco sitting next to her, smirking.

“None of your business, Malfoy,” she snapped back. She crossed her arms stubbornly and turned away.

“I can honestly say I wasn’t expecting you here... pictured more of a quiet setting... like reading a book in your room at the Weasley’s maybe.”

“Go away!” she snapped back. She couldn’t help but wonder how Draco knew what she was doing before...

“Why should I? I just wanted to ask if you felt like getting off your chair to have fun for once.”

Hermione turned to look at him, shocked.

“Are you asking me to dance?”

Draco shrugged in response.

“Last song before the new year!” the same voice announced.

Hermione recognized the sound of an electric guitar echo around the room. It was her favourite song...

“Fine.”

Draco smirked and held out his hand. Hermione took it and allowed herself to be pulled up and onto the floor. The crowds automatically separated for Draco as he passed through. As soon as they were in the middle of the room and stopped, Hermione remembered the Yule Ball in 4th year and the Weird Sisters. As soon as she did, she finally let herself have fun and be free.

“5! 4! 3! 2! 1! HAPPY NEW YEARS!”

The fireworks erupted above the club, and everyone cheered, even Hermione. She then looked at Draco out of the corner of her eye and saw him smiling; not smirking, but legitimately smiling.

He then looked at her and said, “Now you can’t say that was boring.”

“Why would I?” Hermione responded, laughing.

“Exactly,” he responded, chuckling.

He saw the look in her eyes and opened his mouth to ask if something was wrong, but she pulled his head down and kissed him. He put his hands on her waist and started kissing her back, but she pulled away and looked into his eyes.

“Happy New Years, Draco,” she said with a smile. Draco just smirked back and claimed her lips.

Awwww! That was so cute! I loved it!
I actually went ,"Awwww!" outloud and my mom was like, "Awww what?"

It took me a few moments to find this again, since the mods changed the title so it's not where it was before on the thread list. It was supposed to have a 4

not the 'for' in 'forever', but '4ever'...
