Chapter Eight: Christmas Memories
25 December 1997
"Dear Journal,
Mom is disappointed today because Bill and Fleur will not be here, but, as a girl I completely understand that she hated Celestina Warbeck. I still remember last year's celebration. I received from Mom and Dad a Weasley jumper with my and Harry's initals in it, a ton of my twin brothers products including a female pygmy puff (a compainion for Arnold), Bill and Fleur sent a miniature Tour de Effiel with working lights from their honeymoon in Paris. Before I was banned from Hogsmeade, I got the Christmas shopping done. I got Ron a new set of Dress Robes, Harry a book called 'A History of Modern Wizards' by Rachel Bartholf (who is a well renown modern wizarding historian) and Hermione a beautiful necklace with the words sisters forever. I taught myself to knit the muggle way, and I knitted Mom and Dad a beautiful bedcover with their initals and wedding date embroidered in it. I can't wait to see their faces when I give it to them. Luna was snatched from the train before we got to London. I hope that Luna will be all right.

"Oh Ginerva, how beautiful!" exclaimed Mom, "Did you make this?"

"Yes, I did, and would you believe I taught myself to knit the muggle way," I explained, "and it is for your bed." I figured they would love it. Dad was shocked at the fact that I could knit in the muggle way. By the look on Dad's face he really loved my gift.

Chapter Nine: Uneasy Times

"Hi, Neville," I said when I saw him, "did you have a good holiday?"

"Yes and no. Every year Gran takes me to see my parents in St. Mungos, but this year we couldn't. They said no visitors on a holiday especially to the Aurors who were in the Janus Ward!" cried Neville, "Gran was ready to blow her cap! I couldn't believe it! Gran wrote to the Daily Prophet telling them about the Hospital refusing visitors."

"I'm as corny as Kansas in August, High as a flag on the Fourth of July, If you'll excuse an expression I use, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love with a wonderful guy!"
Man, Muggle Studies and the Dark Arts are boring! As long as we get the work done, it's fine but this is worse than Professor Binns on a hot day!

Chapter Ten: The Calm before the Storm
29 April 1998
"Dear Journal,
Well, how can I tell you this, but, Ron, Harry, and Hermione were captured by Greyback and his gang of snatchers late last month. When Ron was caught, we had to go into hiding. I was on Easter Holiday when they were nailed. I miss Harry, thank God Bill stopped by to bring Ollivander and Auntie Muriel's tiara back. Bill told me that the trio are okay and are at his place and safe. I told him to send my love along. I hope Dora is okay, now that she is due to have her baby anyday.

"What is it, Adromeda?" I asked

"Dora had her baby! It's a boy!" Adromeda excalimed, "his name is Theodore Remus Lupin."

"Who are his godparents?" Mom asked pointedly.

"Why, Ginny and Harry are! Remus is over at Bill and Fleur's place telling Harry," Adromeda said.

"Congratulations to Dora," I said, thinking "Me a godmother- I'm only sixteen for God sakes!" I have a hard time not thinking about Harry as it is. A few days later I received a message on my DA coin that Hermione created a couple of years ago.

"Potter back--Return to school!" it said. I completely forgot about the fact that Fred and George had the coins too.

"Ready Ginny?" they asked together.

"Are you going too?" I inquired.

"Yep! We are part of the DA!" they both replied. We ended up sneaking out of the house and apparating to Hog's Head.

"Through there." Aberforth said pointing through the portait hole.

"Thanks!" we said.

Chapter Eleven: The Day After
3 May 1998
"Dear Journal,
Yesterday from Midnight on was a chaotic mess. Bodies lay every where. I was told to stay in the Room of Requirement but Harry, Ron and Hermione discovered where the horcrux was at and it was the 'lost' diadiem of Ravenclaw, which was returned to its home here in the castle. I joined the fray because Harry needed the Room. Dora and Mrs Longbottom also joined in. Unfortunatly Dora, Remus, and Fred were killed, Mom and Dad are upset of course but this was a war and lives are to be lost and it is expected. Harry handed himself over to Voldemort and he 'killed' Harry. Neville did something unexpected. He killed Nagini! The battle resumed and moved into the Great Hall. It was three on one, Bellatrix versus Hermione, Luna and I, while Voldemort versus McGonagall, Kingsley and Slughorn. I was almost killed by the Killing Curse, boy was Mom mad as ever. Half the people nearest the women were watching Mom duel Bellatrix to the death. Guess who won! Mom! Never touch her children! Voldemort blasted his attackers with a flick of his wand. Harry casted the Sheild Charm so powerful that no one could get through. Harry calmly told Voldemort to feel remorse. No can do, knowing Voldemort. So using Malfoy's wand Harry casted the disarming jinx. 'Ding Dong Voldy's Dead'! The War is Over!! This morning Harry asked me to go for a walk with him. He popped the question and I said yes. We have planned most of the wedding and we are getting married in July of next year.

"Ron, Ginny and I have something to tell you," Harry said, "we are getting married next July."

"Harry, are you mental!?" cried Ron, "Ginny is still in school!"

"Ron, I said NEXT July, or do you need me to clean your ears out?!" Harry bellowed, "I know Ginny is still in school. We have most of the wedding planned." Harry glanced my way and grinned because I was telling Hermione the good news.

"Harry, we need to tell my mom and dad about us," I said.

"Don't worry. I already talked to your mom and dad. I asked for their permission to marry you." Harry replied.

"Well then, I know of a song I want to sing at the wedding," I said, "what about 'A Wonderful Guy'."

"What-from the South Pacific?" asked Harry, "how does it go?"

"I expect everyone of my crowd to make fun
Of my proud protestations of faith in romance
And they'll say I'm naive
As a babe to believe
Any fable I hear from a person in pants!
Fearlessly I'll face them and argue their doubts away

"Who played whom?" Harry inquired. I handed him the program.

"You will never believe that Zacharius looked so good in a coconut bra and grass skirt! Ernie was a good Emilie, but I prefered it was you that should have that part." I said, "Luna was Bloody Mary, Neville was Joe Cable."





OOA: The mother of the boys I babysit made it thru her surgery, but she is sore for a few days!

Chapter Twelve: The Class of 1999
15 June 1999
"Dear Journal,
Harry and Ron were here today to see both Hermione and I get our diplomas. We looked good in our cap and gowns as we walked into the Great Hall. The Great Hall was back to its former glory, benches instead of the house tables, Professor McGonagall called each student by name. When she got to Colin's name, Dennis walked up and received his brother's diploma. Colin was posthumously awarded his diploma. Hermione should have graduated last year but she decided to come back and take her NEWTs and she passed them all with flying colors. By the time she called me up to get mine, she also called Harry, Ron and George up as well, they were getting theirs and Fred's diplomas. I was completely shocked that even though they dropped out over the years, they had earned them. Mom and Dad came up to accept Fred's diploma. I mean the whole Hall was crying because they were honored as honorary members of the Class of 1999. I was to start training with the Harpies soon as I graduated, I told the manager that I have a wedding to plan for and needed to take a honeymoon with Harry before I could begin training. I had planned on having Neville as a groomsman and Ron as Harry's Best Man, I'll have Luna as a bridesmaid and Hermione as my maid of honor. Now where for our honeymoon?

"Hey, hon, where do you want to go for our honeymoon," I asked.

"How about Germany and France?" Harry asked me.

"O.K." I said, making the reservations with the travel agency.

Chapter Thirteen: The Wedding.
4 July 1999
"Dear Journal,
Today is the day of my wedding. I will no longer be known as Ginerva Molly Weasley, I'll be known as Ginerva Molly Potter!
My Great Aunt Muriel died last year after the battle was over, I inheireted the goblin made tiara which Bill paid the goblin who made it and explained that it was in a document called a will stating who gets what after a person dies. I think that he understood because he is here to see it on my head and how it works with a veil. He actually complimented me for having such a wonderful piece, and told me that he told his heirs not to reclaim it and showed them the will. Oh my God! Look at the time!

"Ready, baby girl?" asked Dad.

"Ready as I'll ever be." I replied.
The music from South Pacific filtered through the air, the song I chose to walk down the aisle was 'Some Enchanted Evening', which was being played by the church band. Little Teddy looked really cute in his first set of dress robes that Harry got him for his first birthday. I had to have my godson as the ringbearer for the wedding.

"Who presents this woman to be married?" asked Pastor Craig Cooper.

"Her family and friends do," Dad said as he kissed me on the cheek and handing Harry my hand.

"We are gathered here to witness the happy union of two wonderful souls, God had created in heaven and hoped that one day meet." he said, "Ginny had asked me if she could sing a very special song, 'A Wonderful Guy' earlier this week."

I sang the song, looking at Harry the whole time, with Neville and Luna providing the back-up I needed.

"Thank you," Harry whispered to me.

"Do you, Harry James, take Ginerva Molly to be your wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, for the rest of your days?" Pastor Craig asked.

"I do." Harry replied.

"Do you, Ginerva Molly, take Harry James to be your wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, for the rest of your days?" Pastor Craig asked me.

"I do." I replied.

After we exchanged the rings, Pastor Craig pronounced us husband and wife. "You may kiss your bride, Harry" he added.

"Now, may I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Ginerva Potter!" said Pastor Craig to those who were invited to the wedding.


Boy, did we ever have fun. The guys sang 'There's Nothing Like A Dame', us women sang 'Honey Bun' and Ron looked hilarious in a grass skirt and coconut bra!!! He was way better than Zacharius when we did the play. Little Teddy performed 'Dites Moi' with Harry and I. Hermione and Luna performed 'Ba'li Hai'. Harry and I danced to 'Some Enchanted Evening', and we partied until Harry and I had to leave for our flight to Germany.

The Epilogue

"Dear Journal,
It has been years since I have written in you. I have three children, two boys, James Sirius and Albus Severus, and one daughter Lily Luna. The Harpies won the league the two years I played but I had to retire because I was pregnant with James when we won the last title. I can't believe it has been nearly twenty years since then. I work as a senior editor in the sports pages of the Prophet. James is 15, Al is 11 and Lily is now 9. I remember when I was that young, I wish I could go to Hogwarts with my brothers. Harry is now Head of the Auror office, he is under Hermione now. Kingsley is still Minister of Magic. I see most of my classmates around, and we remembered the year that Snape let us have our fun and performed 'South Pacific'.
