Its my first FF, please be merciful

It was a really late night, so naturally Ron, Harry and Hermione were the only ones in the Gryffindor Common Room. Hermione was, of course doing homework, she was already beginning to fret about the N.E.W.Ts, and Harry was pretending to do so. Ron on the other hand, wasn't pretending or even trying copy Hermione's work. He was completly of in another world.
'Ron', said Harry, with no response, so he tried again, 'Hello, Ron are you there?' Still no response.
'RON' Hermione shouted.
'Oh, er- what?'
'Ron, what are you doing, you were off in space somewhere'
'I was just thinking' he said, sounding and awful lot like Luna Lovegood.
'About what?' Harry asked, noticing the change in his face.
'Nothing, I have to go now.' He rushed up to the boys dormitory without andother word or glance back.
'What was that all about?'
'I have no clue,' said Harry, 'you're the smart one here.'
'Maybe he's just had a bad day or something, just let him be, you kow Ron, he'll gbe fine by tomorrow'.
Much to their surprise, that was not the case. The next day at breakfast, Ron didn't go down to the Great Hall with Hermione, Harry and the other Gryffindors. This was odd itself, Ron, not getting food. Instead he went outside and sat on the grass. He started pickig the grass and braiding the blades together (he didn't know of any spells that would do this for him).
'What in the name of Merlin is he doing?' asked Neville
'I have no idea, Harry said, also thinking about the night before, 'he has been acting really odd latley.'
'I think he's really gone mad now!' said Neville, on half joking. As they walked by, the Slytherins pointed, laughed and made fun of Ron.
By now, Neville, Hermione, Harry and most of the school had moved into the Great Hall, but not Ron, who had now figured out how to weave teenie-tiny flowers into his little circle of grass. Every in the Great Hall had pretty much forgotten what they had just seen, which was indeed a stange sight.
Ron was muttering to himself,' How will I...? Hmmmm, I could...No that wouln't work. How about...No that's even worse. Come on Ron, think!'
Luckily for Ron, no one was there to hear him, if Malfoy caught him talking to himself, Ron would be in for it for sure.
Half way through breakfast the doors of the Great Hall burst open. There was Ron, holding something tiny in is hande, no one could see what it was.
Just when people thought he was going to sit in his normal spot, he went directly to the Slytherin table, to Pansy Parkinson, who looked like she has just seen a ghost.
'Ron what are you doing?!' Pansy asked.
'Go away Weasel' shouted Malfoy.
'Oh, shut it Malfoy, ' Ron shot back, 'Pansy, we need to talk, can you come with me?'
'Er, I'm not going anywhere, what is it, what do you want and would you hurry up.' She was trying to act as though she wanted him gone, but she wasn't doing a very good job.
'Please can we go somehwere else.'
'No. Anything you have to say can be said in front of *looks around the room*, the whole school.'
'Ok, thats fine. It's just that, well, you know, since our fifth year, we have been seeing more and more of eachother, and I know that others may not see you as I do. But in these last two years, I have grown to...to...to love you. I know its not much, but will you please take this.' As Ron handed Pansy the ring which he made from grass, Pansy leaped out of her seat.
'RONALD WEASLEY! What on Earth are you saying?' she asked, or more demanded to know.
'I'm saying, no, asking...' there was a long silence and by now the whole school was watching with great intrest.
'RON!'
'W-w-will you marry me?' Ron asked as he began to shake.
'Will I what?! Of course I w...Yes Ron I will.' as she jumped into his arms and gave him a hug. She looked around the room again, then at Malfoy, who had a look of total disgust on his face.
'You can't marry this Blunder head!' shouted Malfoy and Hermione at the same time.
'Pansy! you can't marry this blood traitor!'
'Oh, eat dung Malfoy, maybe that will keep your big mouth shut for a while!'
To Hermione, Pansy said, 'Shut-up you Mudblood, what does it matter to you anyway?'
'What does it matter to me? I don't want him marrying a foul git like you!'
'That's too bad for you then isn't it.'
'Pansy, Hermione, cut it out.' Ron said.
After all of this, Ron went back to the Gryffindor table. When he sat down, Hermione gave Ron a very nasty look and refused to talk to him. Harry was very surprised, but didn't gave Ron the cold shoulder over it. For the moment thinking it would be wise, they stayed away from the topic of what just happened. Instead they just acted as normal as they could, talking about Quidditch. This however, only seemed to make Hermione more angry as she got up and stormed out of the Great Hall, to the Library.
In the coming days, the whole school was talking about Ron and Pansy. This did nothing for Hermione who scowled at anyone who even mentions Ron's name around her. After a while, things died down, people accepted the fact that Ron and Pansy were going to be married, but not Hermione.
One day, Ron sat down with her, and talked to her. She had said that she wasn't angry that he is getting married, just angry about the girl he is marrying. She told him that he deserves much better, and that she would just break his heart. To this Ron said that he know her in a way that many people do not, no one in fact, not even Malfoy.

Yay... that was fast. Just end it, dare requirements and VOILA!

And thanks again for PMing me the link so promptly. I promise PROMISE that I'll reward you for your excellent evil behavior. I just have to think on it.

After Hermione and Ron had talked, they were back to being friends. Hermione still wasn't happy about Ron's choice, but she knew there was nothing she could do about it. It may have seemed to everyone around her that she was jst jealous, but this wasn't the case, she just didn't like Pansy.
That night, when everyone had gone to bed, someone quielty snaeked into dormitory. All of the girls were fast asleep when all of the sudden, Malfoy began kissing Hermione. She woke with a shriek that was loud enough to wake all the girls, and even some of the boys.
'WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE!!!!' Hermione screamed, 'How did you get in here?!'
Malfoy who was very confused, like he had just woken up, looked around.
'Where am I?' he said, just as it dawned on him when he saw the looks of horror on the girls faces.
'How did I get in here?' sounding very confused.
'I just asked you that' said Hermione who was still angry, but was no longer yelling. 'and why were you kidding me?!'
'I was what?!' said Malfoy as he wiped his mouth, 'have no idea, last thing I remember is laying down to go to sleep.'
Hermione and the other girls were very shaken and could not go to sleep. They had called for Professor McGonagall because one, he shouldn't have been able to get into the Gryffindor Common Room, and two, he shouldn't have been able to enter the girls dormitories because of the spells that prevent boys froom getting in there.

I evilly accept this dare*cackiling* this was a very good dare for a beginner looking forward to accepting dares from you now.

It was a while after the incident with Malfoy, when it was finally figured out how he was able to enter the Common Room, and the girls Dormitory. After lots of research in the Library, Hermione was able to figure it out, as even thought the professors knew, they wouldn't tell anyone, saying, that it must have just been a fluke.
Turns out, that there have been a few cases on record of people who, when they are sleeping, their mind goes to a state where the magic they are able to do then, is much more powerful then when they are awake. None of the people on record have ever been able to control this power inside of them. After telling Harry and Ron about this, they all figured that is what happened, that Malfoy has this other power. They also figured that this power must be strong enough for him to be able to either fool the Fat Lady into believing he is from Gryffindor and has just lost the password, or was able to just know the password. Also, that he must have been able to get into the girls dormitory by using this power.

*cackles evilly* She need only post dare requirements, and then we shall own her! MWAHAHA!

I think the Power malfoy has is a brilliant idea. Well put. U are a good writer. Now im not supose to be nice. But this is an exception

These are the dare requirements:

1. A main character {male} must give a wedding ring to a girl from Slytherin.
2. Someone must then object to this marrage by saying " You cannot marry this Blunder head.
3. Malfoy must sleep walk into Gryffindor girls dormitory and kiss Hermione or any other gryffindor girl on the lips.
4. Dementors must come to hogwarts and Neville must perform a full Potronus { animal of your choice}
5. Cho slaps Harry for no aparent reason while talking about Quiditch
6. The Weasley twins must persuade peeves to put Dung Bombs in Mcgonnagals office.
7. And last but not least some one must say " I thought you liked Malfoy and that you wanted to marry the scumbag" { this must be said to a girl of course}

Excellent work, hpgurl. You are going up on the front page of the thread AS WE SPEAK. Okay, actually in about five minutes. Very original... and nice fleshing out of the story. Sometimes an FF can seem like a connect-the-dots game with dare requirements, but I love it when there is a STORY too . And explanations for why people randomly act in a certain way.

I am WAY too logical for this genre .

After everything with Malfoy calmed down, and the school was back to normal, Dementors showed up at the school. This did not please Professor Dumbledore at all. He went directly to the Minisrty of Magic to see what was going on. They told Dumbledore that another prisoner had escaped from Azkaban, so the Dementors were sent to Hogwarts as a percaution. Dumbledore was not happy about this, he demanded that they be removed from the school grounds. Before this could be done, some students were attacked by them.
Ron, Harry, Hermione and Neville were relaxing outside under the trees near the lake, when all of the sudden everything when cold, and very quiet. Harry started hearing his mother being murdered. The dementors caught them off gaurd, and Harry, the only one there to ever preform a full Patronus, passed out! Neville, who saw the Dementors coming, was too shocked to say anything, but got up and ran. Ron, Hermione and Harry just looked at him, then they felt the cold. Since Neville had ran, he was the only one who was still awake. Just as a Dementor was about to kiss Harry, Neville shouted out,
'EXPECTO PATRONUM' producing a full Patronus. This was Neville's first time producing more than a little whisp of silver. He just stood there in shock as a silvery elephant went charging towards the dementors.
'Gulping gargoyles, I've never done that before!' said Neville, very pleases with himself. Just then Dumbledore came rushing up to Neville.
'What just happened here?' as Neville explained, Dumbledore grew very angry. He went staright back to the Ministry demanding to know what was going to be done about this, but not before going to Hermione, Ron and Harry. It turns out that becuase Neville in such a state of shock, and also, was very, very angry, he was able tp preform the perfect Patronus to save Harry's life.
Dumbledore found out that the Dementors let that prisoner out, as an excuse to get into Hogwarts, and close to Harry.

It was nearing the end of the school year, and everything had finally settled down, well, except Hermione worrying about the N.E.W.Ts.
'Look Harry, she's actually sleeping! ' Ron said, as Hermione's face dived into her pudding at dinner.
'What's it been, at least a week since she has selpt' said Harry
'Actually, six days, which means that...*takes out a small notebook*...Fred and Geroge win the bet, they guessed five days' said Seamus.
'Bet? What bet? asked Harry.
'Oh, sorry mate, we swore not to tell you or Ron. Hermione might have found out. Some of us had a bet going, to see how long it would take her her to fall asleep, somewhere like here, at the table, or in class.'
'How did Fred and George win?'
'Oh, well, we sent them an owl, telling them about our bet.'
'What did they win?'
'About 20 Galleons. Well, I better be off, I have to send another owl to them, telling them they won.' said Seamus. Just after he left Hermione started talking in her sleep.
'-alfoy....I....do...' she mummbled. Harry and Ron looked at eachother, they could hardly make out what she was saying, but it was enough. They instantly woke her up and started questioning er about her what she had said.
'Hermione Granger, I never would have thought!' said Ron, teasing her.
'What is it Ron'
When they told her what happened, she completly denied it all, while going red in the cheecks.

Later on that evening, in the Library, Cho came us to Harry and started talking about Quidditch.
'Gryffindor is doing really well again this year Harry, good job'
'Oh, thanks Cho, you guys are doing good too, second place, beat us next game, and you'll take the cup.'
'Yeah, that would be cool, its been a while since we have won, so it would be nice.' then all of the sudden, for no reason, Cho slaped Harry across the face.
'What was th-' But before he even had time to finish the question.
'What was that all about?' asked Ron.
'I have no clue, I would like to know though.'

It was time to go up to the dormitories, so Harry decided to ask her about it tomorrow.

The next day, when Harry saw Cho in the corridors, he asked her why she hit him. She had said that she has developed a rare problem that causes her arm to spaz out at random, and that she had forgotten to take her potion that day, and Harry was just in th wrong place. She ran out because she was embarrassed.

That night, just in time for dinner, Fred and George showed up, to collect their winnings.
'Hey everyone!' they both said.
'Hi Fred, George, how are you?' said Hermione.
'We're good, we came her to-' Fred had jabbed Geroge in the side, cause Hermione was sitting right there
'To see everyone, and visit the professors' Fred finished.
'Oh, well, thats good, are you going to sit down and eat dinner with us?' Hermione asked.
'Why do you think we came now, dinner was always my favorite time of the day!' said Fred.
After dinner, Seamus had to tell Fred and George that McGonagall found out what they had done, and took the money, so Fred and George went to find Peeves.
'Peeves, oh Pretty Ickle Peevies where are you?' They called together, wondering the halls of the castle when they heard a crash down the hall, and there was Peeves.
'Hi Peeves, It's been a while eh!' They said.
'Oh goodie!' Peeves said as he turned to leave.
'No wait, we have an idea, to annoy Filch'
'Ooo, lets hear it!'
'Here are some Dung Bombs, well you know how much Filch HATES to go into McGonagall's office, because of all those weird statues she has in there, go let all of them off in there, and wait to see the look on Filch's face!' they said, very slyly.
'Hmmm, maybe I will, what do you get out of it?' he asked
'We get the pleasure of knowing that you, once again, have annoyed Filch.' Fred said this, lying through his teeth. The real reason they went to Peeves, was so they could create a diversion so they could sneak into the Transfiguration roon without McGonagall's office, to collect their money.
Thier plan worked out perfectly, and within minutes, the Twins had their money, and was saying good-bye to everyone.
That night in the dormitory, Hermione was complaining about Malfoy.
'He called me a Mud-you-know-what today, again. You think I'd be used to it by now'
'I know that was a terrible thing for him to have said but I thought you liked Malfoy and that you wanted to marry the scumbag.' Ron said
'Marry Malfoy, you've got to be kidding me!'
'According to your dream, you have already said 'I Do''
'That was a dream, and plus, I was just thinking, that like me, Malfoy doesn't want you to marry Pansy, that must be why I said that.'
'Sure sure, Hermione'
'It's true, and I'm going to get some sleep, falling asleep in my pudding was a sign that I needed to take at leat one night's rest from studying.' Hermione said, she continued just as Ron opened his mouth to speak, 'I'm off to have a Malfoyless sleep, good night.'
'Good night Hermione' Harry and Ron said together
'Harry wanna play some chess before we go to bed?'
'Sure, but you know I'll win'
'Ya right, we'll see about that one'
And with that, Hogwarts went back to normal.

Note: When McGonagall found that the money was missing, she put all the blame directly on to Malfoy, who had detention for a month, cleaning McGonagall's weird statues!
