100 Draco Drabbles by Anastasia

#1 - Herbology
Herbology is one of my least favorite subjects and we have to share it with Ravenclaws. Ugh… I hate all other Houses for different reasons – Huffplepuffs because they are dumb oafs, Gryffindors because Potty, Weasel and the Mudblood are in it, but I can’t think of what I hate the Ravenclaws for. Well, they are smart, it is true, but how can the Loony girl be there if they are all smart? She can’t have paid to the Sorting Hat to be sorted into Ravenclaw, can she?

I think I just hate them all because we share the Herbology class.

Draco sat in the Top Box with his father and mother at the Quidditch World Cup watching the game. Irish were playing against Bulgarians.

"Merlin, they really have to start doing something harmful or they will bore me to death", he said to Lucius hoping that Krum would break someone's nose soon, it would be even funnier if it was his own.

Lucius smiled. "So you really want someone hurt, don't you?" he asked watching the players pass the Quaffle.

"Oh, I do", Draco answered looking at Harry out of the corner of his eye and returned to the game.

“You have to learn fast, do you understand?”

“Yes father, I know I have to, but I can’t. And egging me on doesn’t help.”

“I have to egg on, because if I don’t you will be an ordinary Hogwarts student. Do you want to be ordinary?”

“I do not want to be ordinary and I am not!”

“Do you want to fail in your first year?”

“I do not want to fail in my first year and I won’t!”

“Then learn!”

I wish I never went to Hogwarts. Is it normal to regret about something you haven’t even started yet?

“Hey, Mudblood! How come haven’t you died yet? You are friends with the Pothead and Weasel’s girlfriend, you should be suffering already, what is wrong with you?”

He laughs across the Great Hall and everyone hears. My ears become red and I try not to look at him.

“You have better options, Granger. The winner takes it all. I know it.”

I hide behind my book.

“If you had a choice who to go out with, you’d rather go out with me than with the loser Weasel.”

Just ignore him, Hermione, just ignore him. No matter how right he is.

#61 First One. (Kiss)

She pulled away, her eyes still shut tight a well as her lips.

He looked at her and raised his eyebrows as if asking her something… or how it was exactly.

She finally spoke, her eyes closed. “Was that your first kiss?”

He nodded even though she couldn’t see it. “Of course it was.”

She opened her eyes. “So how was it?”

He shrugged. “I don’t know, it was ok, I guess.”

She smiled. “I guess so, too.”

Draco felt Snape’s approving stare on his back and smiled. “You’re cool, Pansy.”

And they continued to dance at the Yule Ball.

“Now, Mister Malfoy, lie still and I will mend your arm in no time“, said Madam Pomfrey, the Hogwarts nurse, as she covered Draco with a blanket. “The Sleeping Potion is a nice thing for those who had some stress. Do you want me to add some Dream Draught into in?” she asked showing the bottle.

“Do you want me to have a nightmare where Hippogriffs would lope all over the place?” Draco scowled letting Madam Pomfrey put a pillow under his head. “What if I lose my arm?”

“Stop whining boy, you just have a scratch, for Merlin’s sake!”

“All you could do is mooch because you lived with your parents”, she tells me and I know she is right.

“What if I didn’t? Would you marry me then?” I ask in a normal, totally non-snobbish tone I’m used to.

I see concentration on her face, though the expression is unclear. “I don’t think I would marry you even if you were Prince Charming.” But I know she’s just playing.

“You have no choice, because we are already married”, I smile and she smiles back. “You mean more than just a wife to me, Pansy, you’re my soul mate.”

#65 - Ooze

Flitwick squeaks again, I can hardly understand a word, but as I look at the page in the Charms book I realize he must be talking about Aguamenti spell, it produces water. I’m tinking of some way to use it and there’s Crabbe’s parchment right under my nose.

“Ignito”, I mumble and the parchment starts burning. Crabbe notices it only when the flame touches his hand and he tries to put it out.

“Try Aguamenti.”

He follows.

I frown as I watch a couple of drops ooze out of his wand. I cast the spell and the water splashes everywhere.

“What was THAT for?” I ask as I rub my cheek – it’s getting redder now and it really hurts.

She puts her hands on her sides. “For being so arrogant, Draco.”

I frown. “What are you talking about, Hermione?” I really don’t understand why she did it.

“You were rude to my friends again, so you deserve what you got”, she gets angrier.

“I didn’t mean to, I was just…” but she has already turned her back to me.

My face saddens and I mutter to myself as I watch her walk away. “…there was no need to slap me.”
