34. Parseltongue

Justin’s breathing quickened as the conjured snake slithered towards him. The adrenaline started to flow, his heart raced a million miles a minute and he wanted so badly to run but there was no escape through the students crowded all around him. He was about to scream when he heard something strange. Someone was speaking in a weird language, that he later found out was Parseltongue, apparently used by Slytherin himself to control snakes. Before he could figure out who was speaking, the snake had halted in its tracks.

Justin looked up to see the words coming out of… Harry Potter.

67. Quell

"Just breathe, it'll be fine Justin"

"But he insulted my mother, i'll kill him!" Justin shouted, wriggling and trying to escape the clutches of Ernie, who was, attempting to at least, prevent Justin from running over to Draco Malfoy and getting the snot knocked out of him three days before their O.W.L exams were due to start.

"Fighting doesn't solve anything, let's just quell this shall we?" Ernie pleaded.

"What sort of word is Quell? Did you make that up Ernie?"Justin asked, forgetting about his vendetta on Malfoy for a moment.

70 teem

Justin opened his eyes. He was in a dark room. He tried to get up, but realised he was strapped down. Becoming frightened, he twisted and tried to see where he was. A tall man stood in the corner.

"You have let me down for the last time" the man said, before advancing on Justin and pouring a tub of centipedes on his chest. The insects teemed over Justin, biting him as he tried to struggle and free himself. The man stood back and laughed.

Justin screamed, and woke up from his nightmare, sweating and wriggling, and he fell off his bed.

35. Pureblood

Another day, another mail delivery. Susan's owl Jespeth delivered her a letter along with the Daily Prophet. Justin took the newspaper as he usually did and started reading it while Susan opened her mail.

"ugh!" Susan said, dropping the letter onto the table.

"What is it?" Justin asked, picking up the letter and reading it quickly.

Dear Miss Bones,

We would like to offer you a place in the pureblood society due to your outstanding parentage. We're sure you prefer the company of those with pureblood above the others.

Justin rolled his eyes.

"Surely they must know you're a mudblood fancier?"

33. Classroom

Justin was dreaming again, asleep in his favourite chair in the Hufflepuff Common Room. He dreamt he was outside, flying a kite near the lake. Then all of a sudden his dream switched so that he was inside the Potions classroom. Oddly enough he still had the kite. A cauldron was simmering in the middle of the room.

"Hello, is anyone there?" Justin called.

"I am" Professor Snape called. " I demand you give Ernie all your Chocolate Frog cards"

"huh?" Justin asked, then Snape started to giggle.

Justin woke up to see Ernie standing over him, laughing.

18. Whomping Willow

"Want to go for a walk outside?" Justin asked Susan one autumn morning.

"Uh, okay sure" Susan replied, unsure why Justin had suddenly wanted to go outside and do something that could be construed as exercise.

Justin really didn't have a specific reason for wanting to go outside, apart from spending some quality time with his girlfriend. They left the castle and walked past the Whomping Willow. Justin noticed it wasn't flailing like it normally did.

"Odd" he said to Susan, moving closer to the tree.

At that point the Willow shook, burying Justin in a pile of dead leaves.

82. Careful

The camping trip had been entirely Justin's idea, and Susan had gone along with it up until now, when he suggested they go for a hike through the marshes.

"Why can't we just stay here near the tent?" she asked. The last thing she wanted was to get lost in the wilderness, particularly as it was rumoured that giants lived in the area.

Justin laughed. "But look..." he said, pointing to the map he'd unfolded on the table. "I know exactly where we are going"

"Okay then, but you'd better be careful following that map" Susan said.

15. Broom

Justin came home late from work one wednesday evening. He took off his muddy boots and left them inside the back door before entering the kitchen, from which the smells of roast lamb were eminating. Susan was standing by the table holding a broom, and she looked at him when he entered the room.

"Evening love" Justin said, walking over to his wife and kissing her on the cheek.

Susan was about to reply when she looked down and saw Justin's muddy cloak dripping onto her clean floor. She screamed and chased him outside, swatting at him with the broom.

42. Portraits

Justin woke at midnight one night and unable to get back to sleep, he decided to go for a walk. He was also, as per usual, hungry, so he fancied getting himself a midnight snack. He walked along the corridor in the direction of the kitchens, careful to be quiet so not to wake the sleeping portraits. But one portrait never slept.

"You there! En guarde!" the 2D Sir Cadogan cried as Justin passed his frame.

"Not tonight" Justin said wearily. Sir Cadogan was about to issue a further challenge when the visor of his helmet clanged shut.

22. Kneazle

The sun shone brightly from behind Hagrid's Hut. The COMC class was gathered in a circle, Hagrid at it's centre. Sitting at Hagrid's feet was a Kneazle, cleaning itself and occasionally looking around the class.

'Kneazles can detect suspicious people right quickly, and give 'em some nasty injuries' Hagrid said. Justin noted that Draco Malfoy stepped towards the back of the class following that comment, and for good reason. The Kneazle was staring at him and Crabbe intently.

Justin made a mental note to ask his parents if he could get a kneazle as a pet.

62. Lope

Justin woke up as the sun shone into the dorm. Looking at the time, he realised he was going to be late to meet Susan by the lake. Getting ready as quickly as he could, he left the common room.

The castle was quiet for a sunday morning, but there were still numerous first years Justin had to dodge as he loped down the hallways and stairs.

Leaving the castle, he spotted Susan talking to Hannah under a tree near the lake. He jogged over and planted a kiss on Susan's cheek before sitting with them, just on time.

74. x-tinguish

It was Justin's idea to make Susan a cake for her birthday. The old lady next door was very helpful giving him a recipe and some eggs, and Justin set himself up in the kitchen of the small flat he shared with Susan.

Everything was going well until Justin put the cake into the oven. Pleased with himself, he sat down in the armchair to have a rest. Needless to say he fell asleep. He was woken by the smoke detector going and the cake was aflame. Justin had just extinguished it when Susan arrived home.

72. Vex

Susan rushed into the flat, the smell of smoke filling her nostrils. The smoke detector was still shrilly beeping, the oven was belching smoke and in the middle of the chaos her husband stood, holding his wand in one hand and one very burnt cake in the other.

"Happy Birthday darling" Justin said sheepishly.

Susan paused for a moment, vexed, and then decided to ignore the scorched oven and swirling smoke.The thought was what counted, even if the results were disastrous... that and Justin looked decidedly cute in that apron. Susan stepped across the kitchen and kissed him.

11. History of Magic

Justin's favourite class was History of Magic. Not for the class content mind, if you'd asked Justin what they'd learnt on any particular day he wouldn't be able to tell you. Justin even had trouble remembering the name of their professor ... was it bibbs, binns or buns?

No, Justin loved History of Magic for purely selfish reasons. What other class could you get 50 minutes of undisturbed shut-eye? None of them. Justin always left History of Magic feeling more cheerful than when he went in, unlike most of the students who were lethargic and grumpy.

23. Telescope

Another Wednesday, another night-time Astronomy lesson. The night was cold and Justin wrapped his cloak around tighter to keep out the wind. Draco and his cronies were slacking off again, using their telescopes to tap other people on the back of their knees and make them stumble.

"Ernie, do something" Justin said to his best friend at the next telescope.

"You can" Ernie replied.

"You're the prefect" Justin retorted.

Ernie walked over to the Slytherins and told them to behave. They threatened to shove their telescope down Ernie's throat, which made him retreat in a hurry.

89. Past

The DA met once more after the final battle. Their numbers were reduced and there was an air of sadness in the room as they stood in silence to remember their past leader, Harry Potter, as well as Luna Lovegood and Fred Weasley, who had all perished when the Death Eaters and Order of the Phoenix clashed one last time.

Justin wrapped his arms tightly around Susan as she wept for the loss of their friends. They may have won the war, with all the Death Eaters dead or imprisoned and Voldemort destroyed, but the pain overwhelmed the joy of victory.

79. author's choice (O.W.L's)

Justin paced backwards and forwards in his bedroom. He hadn't told his parents that his O.W.L results would be arriving any day now, so he tried to keep his worried pacing hidden from them. Not that they would understand what the grades meant when he received them anyway Justin thought.

He toyed with the idea of lying about what grades were the best ones, but he'd have to wait and see what he got before coming up with any master plan to trick his parents. He looked out the window and spotted an owl heading for him.

83. Fearful

The road outside Number 12 Grimmauld Place was slick with ice and the air was cold, it was about to snow. The Order of the Phoenix and the remaining members of Dumbledore's Army stood together outside Number 12, wands out, waiting for the Death Eaters to arrive to try to get to Harry, who was inside.

Justin shuddered, fearing what was about to come on this winter night. He squeezed Susan's hand and attempted a smile of encouragement. She looked as scared as he felt. Remus Lupin walked back and forth in front the group, his eyes trained on the sky.

73. Warn

Earlier that evening inside number 12, Remus had given them all a speech of sorts. He tried to boost everyone's confidence, while warning them all to stay alert and look out for each other. Someone suggested they flee Grimmauld Place with Harry, but Remus was determined to stay where the most magical protection was.

Justin noticed Harry frowning at the idea of being kept cooped up inside during the fight, and he patted him on the shoulder. Harry smiled weakly at Justin, who nodded and joined in on the stretches Remus was having the others do.

84. Angry

Justin was standing there, not two feet away, when Luna was killed by Bellatrix Lestrange. He'd just suceeded in knocking Lucius Malfoy unconscious and turned to see Bellatrix cast Avada Kedavra. Luna fell into a heap on the grass verge, lifeless.

Justin felt a moment of great sadness, but that emotion was soon replaced with rage. Justin had never been so angry in his entire life. Standing on the unconscious Malfoy, Justin yelled 'Sectumsempra!' at the top of his lungs, pointing his wand at Bellatrix the murderer. She wasn't quick enough to defend herself and she fell, spouting blood.

90. present

Justin was completely, 100% in the moment. His entire mind was focused on the present, watching Susan walk down the aisle towards him, dressed in flowing white. Her veil set off her firey hair, and her lips were crimson red. Justin inhaled and smelt roses and some other flowery smells he couldn't narrow down. He smiled as she took her place opposite him and the marriage official wizard started to speak. Justin barely heard the words as he gazed into the eyes of his beloved, and his hands started to shake a little as she smiled back at him.

63. Mooch

There were times Justin wished he wasn't an only child, like during the holidays when he wanted someone to play football or rugby with when he was stuck home alone. Other times however, Justin could see the advantages to having no siblings.

One such time occured when Justin was sitting with Colin Creevey in Diagon Alley. Colin's little brother Dennis kept bugging them, trying to mooch money off Colin for an icecream or something. After a good 20 minutes of Colin ignoring Dennis, he eventually caved and took the younger Creevey to the ice cream parlour.

55. Egg on

Breakfast was a serious matter at the Hufflepuff House table. All attentions were on the task at hand - lining their stomach with food for the day ahead. This morning's breakfast was bacon and eggs, with cereal for those of more sensitive gastrointestinal fortitude.

Justin tucked into his breakfast quickly. Too quickly it would seem, as just when he went to lift his egg to his mouth, it flew off and zoomed in the direction of the next table, where it hit Hermione Granger in the back of the head.

"Egg on Mudblood. Three points" Draco sneered from the Slytherin table.

95. Snowball

Their first winter in their own flat, Justin and Susan HAD to make snowmen in the back yard. They invited Hermione and Ron over to lend a hand, and together the 4 of them set about making the biggest snowman ever with the freshly fallen snow. The snowman ended up as tall as Justin, with a bottlecap smile, party hat nose and tennis ball eyes.

The snowman lasted all of 10 minutes before a gust of wind knocked him over. This led to Justin and Ron blaming each other for the inadequate stability of their creation, and a consequent snowball fight.

64. Nap

Justin, like any other teenage boy, liked to sleep. He could sleep anywhere, anytime of the day, and he liked to think it was a talent unique to him. Group conversations in the Hufflepuff common room invariably were cut short by Justin dozing off in a chair and snoring, no matter what time of the day it was. Susan, Ernie and Hannah learnt the only way to keep Justin from napping during conversations was to keep asking him questions, or supply him with snacks to eat to keep himself occupied and awake. Justin quite enjoyed the free food.

80. author's choice (Mirror)

Justin was not a particularly vain boy, but if he came across a mirror in his daily travels he might check he didn't have any food on his face or that his hair wasn't messed up from his frequent naps. Of course, the place he most often came across a mirror was the Hufflepuff Boys Bathroom.

One particular morning Justin discovered a green smudge on his left cheek. Seemed he had fallen asleep while eating spearmint gummy lollies again and had drooled all over himself. He rubbed it off with a facecloth before anyone else spotted it.
