“Today you will be making a very special, very powerful potion. You will have the whole lesson to prepare and brew this potion. You may begin.” The twins let out identical grumbles. They’d been made partners because they were deemed ‘too destructive’ to work with anyone else. They looked up at the blackboard, hoping to find the ingredients list, only to see that the board was completely empty. “Professor, how are we supposed to make it without the ingredients?” “Well Mr. Weasley, you are supposed to correctly identify the potion and use your books to create it. And I hope you don’t get it wrong.” Snape sneered causing identical glares to spread on their faces. They watched as everyone else around them began to work on brewing their potion. Whenever they tried to glance at their books, the person would cover them up. Was everyone hoping that they would fail? Finally, George got an idea. “Isn’t there a spell that tells you the ingredients in a potion?” Fred smiled. “How could I forget about that!” He pulled out his wand and said, “SpeRevelio” Then Snape was standing over them. “I thought it was implied you couldn’t use magic.” |
“Today we will be learning the spell Reducto. It can be very useful in duels. For example, when I was in…” Fred and George both started to doze off as Lockhart went on and on about this one time that the Reducto spell had come in very handy. It was a bunch of bologna and everyone in that class knew it. The girls were just too enamored with the professor to stop paying attention. “All right! Now on to practicing!” Fred and George were jolted awake. “All right. You with Mr. Jordan,” he said as he pointed at Fred. “And you, with Miss Bell.” Lee gave Fred a high-five because they both knew that they were getting away without doing any work. George on the other hand was going to be forced into doing work by Katie. “Psst. What are we supposed to do Katie?” She scoffed and pointed her wand at him. Fred and Lee burst out into laughter, but controlled themselves once Lockhart glared at them. “We’re supposed to be practicing the spell. Too bad you were asleep. Now you have no idea what’s going to happen to you.” It really didn’t look good for George right now. |
Fred and George crashed into their favorite arm chairs (after removing a couple of first years from them). Detention had been tiring. They were seriously starting to change their mind on this whole prankster thing. It was starting to get old. Then again, it was probably just the detention talking. “Is it just me, or does Snape make our punishments worse every time?” “It’s not just you Fred. Last time we cleaned out the potions cabinet and this time we were actually testing them. I still have that disgusting taste in my mouth.” They still didn’t know how he got away with some of the punishments he gave them. It just didn’t seem like a lot of them would fall under school rules. Just then, they were joined by Lee. “How was detention?” “Horrible.” “Is it sad that the unison thing still creeps me out?” The twins nodded. “Anyways…what’d you get detention for again?” “For asking about the spell Sectumsempra-” “And for putting a Muggle whoopee cushion on his chair after he refused to answer.” Lee chuckled. “Wow. I knew you guys were immature. But a whoopee cushion? That seems way below your usual.” “It was spur of the moment.” |
Fred and George were really in way over their heads this time. They had been running through the Forbidden Forest for what felt like hours. They had gotten detention with Hagrid and thought they would get away with not showing up if they said that they got lost in the forest. They hadn’t actually planned to, but getting lost happened anyways. “All right. I think it’s time to turn around, George.” “I think you’re right Fred, but…” he looked around the forest, “which way is the right way?” They both looked all around. There was no discernable path that could give a hint to which way they had come from. Fred and George were really in over their heads this time. Really in over their heads. “Wait! Isn’t there a spell of some sort that makes your wand act like a compass?!” George sounded really enthusiastic. “Yeah…I think the incantation is-Point Me!” They gave each other a high-five. Fred pulled out his wand. “Point me!” He watched as the wand spun and finally stopped. “I’m guessing it’s pointing North so we go...um, what direction would the castle be in if we had a compass?” George shrugged his shoulders. Just great. |
“HOW DARE YOU DISOBEY ME! IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE SCHOOL NONETHELESS!” Umbridge looked like she was about to explode. The twins hadn’t really done anything that bad. They’d only rigged all of the suits of armors to attack any members of the inquisitorial squad if they were to walk past. Which they did. And the armor wouldn’t stop, unless Fred and George told them too. And they weren’t going to do that anytime soon. This was the reason Umbridge was yelling. They refused to listen to her. “I just don’t see what the problem is Professor.” “And you have absolutely no proof that we were the ones who did this.” The twins did have a point, but did Umbridge understand it: Nope. “WHO ELSE WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS?! DRACO MALFOY?” The twins just shrugged their shoulders. For all they knew, he could be capable of this. “DETENTION! FOR 3 WEEKS! AND I HOPE-“ And just like that, she was cut off mid-sentence and couldn’t figure out what. Fred turned to George and looked at Lee. They shared a smirk. Umbridge was now by Snape who was reversing the spell. “Great idea using Silencio, Lee.” No one would know. |
Morsmorde is a spell I should never perform again if I wish to not be permanently stuck in detention. This was what Fred and George had been writing over and over again for the past hour. McGonagall looked like she wasn’t going to let them stop anytime soon. She always made them write lines for the longest times. By the time they were both done, their hands just didn’t want to work anymore. Besides: they were being punished for trying to further their learning experience! They had asked at least five professors what the spell was. It wasn’t their fault that they were to afraid to tell the little second years that were now forced to do endless lines. “Are we almost done Professor?” “Have you learned that you should not use that spell anymore?” She looked dead serious. “Yes. But we only wanted to see what it was!” “No one would tell us. Once we saw it, we knew we were never going to do it again!” McGonagall looked the boys over. “Fine. That will be all for tonight.” They grinned and got up. Now they had to go back to that fantastic prank that they were planning… |
“All right. Since everyone’s been doing so well, today we are going to tackle learning Expecto Patronum.” Fred and George turned and grinned at each other as Harry talked. They’d wanted to know how to do this spell since they learned about it. No teacher would teach it to them though, so this just made Harry pretty awesome in their books. “All right. Let’s get to practicing.” Practicing went on for what felt like hours to the two red heads. Neither one of them was really getting any reaction and it was starting to get aggravating. Finally, one of them seemed to be getting something. “Very good Fred.” Harry said as a silver wave came out of his wand. “It may take some time for it take an animal form.” George was a little disappointed. Everything was a competition for the twins and Fred had just won this one. Fred was still practicing but George was just watching at this point. Then George muttered something and Fred looked confused. For a moment. “That wasn’t nice to use confundus on me, George.” George shrugged his shoulders. And then there was a flash of light, and the twins were dueling. Oh well. |
“Come on! It’ll be fun girls!” Fred and George were swimming around the black lake, trying to get Angelina and Alicia to join them. It was hot outside and a swim was the perfect way to spend the day. “Sorry guys. Not today.” With that, they both walked back towards the castle, leaving Fred and George in the lake alone. Oh well. They were going to make the best of it. “Shall we see what hides under the black lake?” “We shall.” Both boys performed Bubble-Head charms and dove under the surface. It was really interesting. Fred motioned for them to swim deeper and George followed suit. They really didn’t see anything that interesting, but that didn’t stop George from pulling out his wand. “Relashio!” He muttered and a shot of boiling water soared towards Fred. “Ouch! Not cool George!” With that, both twins started firing relashio at each other, alternating. This mini-duel went on until their charms were almost gone. They didn’t seem to notice that they had gotten closer to the surface and that there was now a very angry Hagrid watching their duel. As they surfaced, Hagrid shouted, “Dumbledore’s office now.” This one was definitely worth it. |
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Ron looked between his older twin brothers who now had their wands pointed at his new broomstick. “Completely.” The twins said in unison sharing a grin. “Don’t you trust us Won-Won?” Fred said, only to anger Ron. “Do it already if you’re going to do it! I don’t have all day!” Tryouts were in a few minutes and Ron did not want to be late. “All right. All right. Would you like the honor George?” “Why yes I would Fred.” George pointed his wand once more at the broomstick sitting in front of them. He said the incantation and the broom burst into flames. “What did you do to my broomstick?!” Ron looked down at the broom in sheer horror. He hadn’t even gotten to fly it yet. Fred and George turned around to leave, but were stopped in their tracks by a very angry looking Professor McGonagall. “What on EARTH did you two do?!?!” She quickly put out the flames and glared at the two red heads. “We were just trying to put a braking charm on it.” “Honest.” “My office. Now.” The twins silently sulked out of the room. |
Two little second year red heads silently snuck out of their common room. Their mother had told Percy to keep an eye on them and to make sure that they stayed out of trouble this term. Little did Percy know, that Fred and George were sneakier then they actually seemed. Tonight their goal was simple: Find a safe place they could practice a new spell they found. And the greenhouse seemed like the perfect place to do such a thing. As they headed through the castle, they made sure to avoid all ghosts and prefects because that would only ruin their plan. The Marauder’s Map was really coming in handy in that aspect. Finally, they reached the greenhouse. “All right. Do you want to try it first…or shall I?” “That’s all right. You do it Fred.” Fred grinned and pulled out his wand. “Confringo!” He said as he pointed his wand at a potted plant. It was followed by a loud boom and a very angry Professor Sprout rushing into the greenhouses. She let out a sigh. “You two know the drill.” The twins slunk off to Dumbledore’s, not even knowing how that blasting curse had been so powerful. |
Crucio. One of the three unforgivable curses. How did the twins stumble upon it you may ask? The same way as usual: breaking the rules. The first years had decided that they wanted to see what was in the Restricted Section of the library. They had heard that they weren’t supposed to go there and Charlie had expressly forbidden it. So the twin trouble makers had to go check it out. They had stumble upon the book on the unforgivable curses and had opened it immediately. The book was actually incredibly horrible. For some reason, they couldn’t seem to put it down though. It was something no teacher had ever let them read. Once they got to the Cruciatius Curse, the twins understood why. There were horrible vivid descriptions of what was supposed to happen. They slammed the book shut and the sound echoed through the library. The twins winced as they heard footsteps. “Who’s there?” Filch’s voice echoed. “I know you’re there.” The twins were done for. Filch smirked when he saw them. “Well, we are in some trouble now aren’t we?” Just great. For once the twins were trying to learn and they were getting in trouble. |
“Hold still Georgie! I need to get that gum out of your hair!” This talk didn’t make the little five year old stop squirming. Molly rolled her eyes. Her little twins were both impossible. Freddie was in time out right now for putting gum in Georgie’s hair. She felt sorry for the professors at Hogwarts because in six short years, the twins would be their problems…but now they were Molly’s. “Georgie, if you don’t hold still I’m going to cut you!” Suddenly, Fred rushed into the room, looking completely horrified. “What’s wrong now Freddie?” “Mum! Don’t cut George! I don’t want George to look different than me!” Molly just stared at the five year old, while still trying to restrain George. “Hunnie, he’ll be fine. Just calm down…AND GEORGE WILL YOU PLEASE HOLD STILL?!” The shouting seemed to get George to stop moving. “There.” She pointed her wand at his hair. “Diffindo.” The hair covered in gum fell to the floor. “Now off you two go.” The twins quickly ran out of the room and towards the backyard. “You should have seen the look on your face, Fred!” Fred glared. “At least I don’t have a bald spot.” |
“Charlie’s so mean!” “I know! It was wrong for him to not let us on the team! We’re his brothers!” Fred and George were more than slightly angry that Charlie hadn’t put them on the team. It was the one thing the boys were looking forward to at school and Charlie had taken it away from them. The boys walked down to the pitch, hoping to give their favorite brother some trouble. They spotted Charlie leading practice, floating in the middle of the pitch. The twins shared a grin that could only mean trouble for the elder Weasley. “Ready Fred?” “Ready George.” The twins both pulled out their wands and pointed them at Charlie’s broom. They quickly muttered the incantation for the hurling hex and watched as his broom started to buck around. Charlie just couldn’t seem to control it. The twins burst out in a fit of laughter. Soon they were rolling around on the ground. Unfortunately, Charlie took control of his broom and zoomed down towards the eleven year olds. “What were you two thinking?! You could’ve hurt me?!” The twins slowly let their laughter come to a close. “You do know I have to tell mum, right?” |
The dueling club really was a stupid idea. And Lockhart was really stupid for allowing the twins to duel one another. The guy really was daft. Fred and George did the normal start to the duel and then they started to duel… The twins shot random spells, one right after the other. It made no sense and most of them weren’t proper dueling spells. “This isn’t a proper duel!” The twins rolled their eyes at Lockhart’s comment. The man really liked to point out the obvious. Fred and George kept shooting random spells, knowing that Snape was going to put a stop to it. They saw Snape coming towards them, but they didn’t cease their spell casting. “What are you doing? I order you to stop at once!” The lowered their wands, knowing not to mess with Snape. “Honestly, I don’t know what Lockhart was thinking when he put you two together. You go with Miss Bell and you go with Mister Malfoy.” The twins grimaced as they went to their respective partners and started to duel. Fred pointed is wand at Malfoy and shouted, “Incarcerous!” Both twins burst out in laughter at the tied up Malfoy squirming on the floor. |
Umbridge was standing in front of the Great Hall, giving some speech about who knows what. The twins, along with the rest of the Gryffindor table, could hardly keep their eyes open. It really wasn’t their fault though. She shouldn’t have tried to make a speech first thing in the morning. Some people skipped breakfast anyways and they were now forced to sit listening to her ramble on about something. Fred and George just looked at one another. “What do you say we make this more interesting?” Fred smirked at George. “And how do you suggest we do that, dear brother?” “You know, a good Jelly Legs jinx might make this fun.” “It just might.” The twins shared one last smirk before George pulled out his wand. Pointing it at Umbridge, he muttered the incantation and watched as toad face almost fell flat on her face. She regained her composure, as snickers filled the hall. Now it was Fred’s turn. This time she almost fell off the dias. This went on for the rest of the speech. The twins each took turns to make Umbridge fall. There wasn’t a tired person in the hall by the end of it. |
“Honestly, mum was right to tell me to look after you. You are constantly in trouble and are going to cost Gryffindor the house cup if you keep this behavior up…” Percy had been talking like this for the past 30 minutes as the twins sat in detention. They did not understand why McGonagall had let him supervise their line writing. Percy was annoying and put a damper on the third years’ moods. It had to have something to do with that stupid Prefect badge… “…and really: gluing Professor Snape to his chair? How childish-“ “Honestly Percy, can you be quiet for ten seconds?” George asked interrupting the nonstop talking. “I don’t think he can George. He might explode.” Percy just glared and continued talking. Suddenly, he stopped talking. He glared at the two boys as they smirked and went back to writing their lines. McGonagall came in not that long later and was not pleased to find her prefect incapable of talking. Once she freed his tongue, she turned to the twins. “Which one of you used Langlock on Mr. Weasley?” They pointed to each other. McGonagall let out a sigh, knowing it wasn’t going to be that easy. |
The twins were at the Yule Ball, just dancing and having a good time. That was until Malfoy decided that it was his personal goal to make the dance horrible for them. He’d already tripped their dates, spilled punch on them, and a few other things that the twins would rather not remember. Once he tried to cast the jelly legs jinx on them, well that was the last straw. Both twins quickly pulled out their wands and pointed them at Malfoy. “What are you going to do Weasleys? Really, you’re not much good at anything without your Zonko’s products…” This caused his group of goons to laugh and Fred and George to get even more aggravated. Without even thinking about it or conferring both twins shouted, “Mobilicorpus!” The group surrounding the chaos burst out into laughter as Draco Malfoy rose into the air. Fred and George grinned at one another, an evil thought coming to both of them at the same time. Each one started to take terms in making him do flips and spins in the air. It was good fun. Until McGonagall came to break it up. “Can’t you two follow the rules for one night?” |
The twins were sneaking through the castle, their path illuminated at Lumos. The Marauder’s Map was opened between the two of them, as they made sure that their pathway was clear. What were they up to you might ask? Well, they were planning on taking some ingredients from Professor Snape’s private store room. They kept checking to make sure he was in his room, asleep. They didn’t need him interrupting and giving them detention. “He still asleep Fred?” “Yep. See?” He pointed to the stationary ‘Severus Snape’. They set the map down and quietly opened the lock on the door. Once inside, the twins looked around at all of the ingredients to choose from. They really didn’t know what they wanted. They just wanted to take something. “Hmmm…Boomslang skin? Flobberworm mucus? What should we take?” “Dunno. Let’s just grab some stuff and get out of here. Just in case Snape wakes up.” Fred nodded and George and started to grab ingredients. Suddenly, they heard a noise in the corridor. They quickly closed the door. As the footsteps neared, the twins looked at the lights from their wands. “Nox!” They stood their quietly, checking the map, waiting for Filch to leave. |
The twins sat in Charms class. Flitwick was supposed to be teaching them some new spell today and they couldn’t wait! Charms was starting to become one of their favorite classes. That was until Flitwick started to talk about the Charm that they would be practicing… “Today you will be learning the spell Orchideous. It is used to conjure flowers from your wand, so gentlemen: you might want to pay attention to this one.” He chuckled and a groan emitted from the male population of the class. “Now, now. Why don’t you try it? You might when some lucky girl’s heart.” The twins rolled their eyes at one another. They didn’t need to know how to conjure flowers to get girls. All they had to do was smile at them. So what did they decide to do? They decided to start drawing pictures. Using flagrate as they usually did. “What are you doing?! You could set everything one fire! Ten points from each of you.” The twins wanted to know when teachers would learn that they didn’t care about points. They let out a groan and started to practice the proper spell. It was too easy. Not that fun either. |
The seven year old red-head twins were running around the kitchen, giving Molly a headache. It didn’t help that she was trying to cook and that there were sharp knives sitting out on the counter. The boys were going to hurt themselves if she didn’t get them to go somewhere…safer. “Boys! Will you please go outside!” Fred or George (Molly still had problems telling them apart) stopped in front of her. “Can’t mum. It’s raining.” With that, they started to run around again. Molly let out a loud sigh and just went back to cooking. She kept praying for the rain to stop so they could go outside and get out of her hair. It didn’t seem like it would slow anytime soon. Fred and George were now running around the counter, all of their pent up energy escaping at once. Then things went from bad to worse for Molly. One of them (more than likely George) tripped and used the counter to catch himself. Unfortunately, he had tipped the cutting board where the knives were sitting. The knives went flying towards Molly who shouted “Protego!” and watched them fall to the floor. The boys were definitely in trouble now. |
Fred, George, and Lee were lounged around the fire, randomly firing off random fizzing whizbees. They were soon greeted by a very angry Percy Weasley. “What are you three doing?” “Having some fun Perce.” “Don’t get your knickers in a bunch.” Percy scoffed at the three boys, his brothers mostly. The twins just ignored the looks and went back to what they were doing. This caused Percy to grab their whole stash. He stood up in front of the fireplace and pointed his wand at his throat. Percy muttered “Sonorus” before addressing the common room. “If anyone else is caught using these things or any other Zonko’s product in this common room, they will be confiscated immediately and you will be sent to the headmaster’s office. I would honestly be ashamed if I had to do such a thing…” Percy kept going on and on unnecessarily, causing the twins to roll their eyes. Finally, they decided enough was enough when he had been rambling for fifteen minutes. Fred pulled out his wand and pointed it at Percy. He muttered, “Quietus” and let out a sigh of relief as Percy’s voice stopped echoing. The common room cheered as Percy huffed off. |
“Mum! We’re seventeen! Can we please use magic to clean this dump?” Both twins had been complaining about this since they were set to clean Number 12 Grimmauld Place. Molly had forbidden the use of magic since she had no idea what kind of protection was put on the objects in the house. It was safer just cleaning things the Muggle way. “How many times do I have to tell you: it might not be safe.” The boys just rolled their eyes and went back to scrubbing some object. They waited for Molly to leave the room and then they did what they did best: disregard the rules. Fred and George pulled out their wands and pointed them at the objects they happened to be cleaning. “Scourgify!” Fred grinned as the trophy he was cleaning was immediately spotless. George, on the other hand, wasn’t so lucky. The curtain he had been cleaning started to strangle him. “Get them off Fred!” “I’m trying! I’m trying!” Every attempt was unsuccessful. The curtains would just not loosen their grip on George. Suddenly: they stopped. The twins faced the door to face a very angry Molly. “I told you boys not to use magic.” |
The twins walked out of DADA in a great mood. They had just learned the stunning spell and as fifth years, that was still pretty exciting. It was a spell that was actually really handy and they were glad that Lupin had taught it to them. “That was brilliant! I can’t wait to practice it!” George agreed with Fred and then they spotted Snape walking down the corridor. Today was not a good day to be the potions professor. Of course the boys knew they would get into loads of trouble, but that’s what made it so much fun! Fred and George quickly cast disillusionment charms over themselves and started to follow the Professor down a corridor. They waited until he was walking down the dungeon steps before they pointed their wands and mutter, “Stupefy.” A beam of red light shot from both of their wands, but Snape was quick and blocked both spells before they hit. “I know it’s you boys. I saw you cast the disillusionment charm. To Dumbledore’s office now. He will be expecting you and know what you have done.” The twins frowned as Snape shot a smirk at the still concealed red heads. This sucked. |
“Make it stop! Make it stop! MAKE IT STOP!!” Little Fred Weasley was shouting at his brother Bill who thought it would be funny to cast a Twitchy Ears hex on him. George had run off to go find their Dad who had disappeared in the backyard hours ago. “Not until you tell me where you two put my letter!” Bill had gotten a letter regarding a job at Gringott’s and his ten year old brothers thought it would be funny to hide it from him. Well, they were most certainly wrong in that aspect. “I don’t remember! George hid it! Just make it stop!!!” Fred was shouting now. Bill was glad that Molly wasn’t home right now. Otherwise he would be in big trouble. Suddenly, the doors to the sitting room burst open and in stormed a very disgruntled looking Arthur followed by a very scared looking George. “William Arthur Weasley! Stop that right now!” Bill rolled his eyes and stopped Fred’s ears from twitching. Fred sniffled and brought his hands to his stationary ears. Bill was in big trouble and Fred was definitely not going to give him his letter now. If he would have been nicer though… |
Fred and George had locked little Ronnikins in the closet. He had broken their favorite toy and there was no way the boys were letting him out anytime soon. Besides, Molly was too busy in the garden and Arthur was at work. There was no one there to stop the twin six year olds from getting what they wanted. They had even stuck some gum in the keyhole so it would be harder to unlock it. They really were too smart for their own good. “Let me out guys! I’m gonna tell mum!!” “Scream all you want Ron. No one can hear you.” Unfortunately, that statement was completely false because Percy had to come walking down the stairs. “What’s going on?” “Nothing.” “Pewcy! They locked me in the cwoset! LET ME OUT!" Percy looked at the twins horrified and ran to go get Molly. She was inside before the twins (who were now cowering behind the sofa) knew it. “Waddiwasi!” She directed the gum out of the lock and quickly opened the door. “Fred! George! You are in big trouble! If you aren’t standing in front of me in five seconds: YOU WILL NOT GET ANY CANDY FOR A WEEK!” |
