Snape storms into Dumbledore’s office.

“You heard what happened in Dueling Club today,” Snape bellows. “Potter spoke Parseltongue.”

Dumbledore looks up from his “Transfiguration Today”.

“Gilderoy told me about it,” Dumbledore says.

“You know what Parseltongue is a sign of.”. “Potter must be a dark wizard.”

“You know as well as I do that’s an old wives tale,” Dumbledore says. “You are a dark wizard and you can’t speak Parseltongue.”

“Potter has an unnatural connection with the Dark Lord. He speaks Paseltongue. Do you think they are sharing powers?”

“I find that highly unlikely. It’s just a coincidence nothing more.

Voldemort calls a meeting at Malfoy Manor.

“I am very disappointed that not one of my deatheaters has captured one insignificant boy. His great protector is dead.”

“Master, it’s like he has disappeared from the face of the earth.”

“Silence! No excuses!!”

“If I might say, Potter is a creature of habit. Sooner or later he will return to Godric Hollow,” Snape interjects.

“Severus is right,” Voldemort says. I need someone I can trust in Godric Hollow.”

Voldemort talks to Nagini in parseltongue.

“Do you understand what he is saying?” Lucius whispers.

“It’s all Ancient Runes to me,” Snape says.

Another Boring Lecture 11. History of Magic



Professor Binn begins another boring lecture in History of Magic class. Today they will be studying the Goblin Rebellion of 1624. Severus sits in the back of the classroom. His head buried in his potion book. Snape points his wand at Binn and says “Lococorpus!” Nothing happens. Snape scratches through this spell on his parchment. Snape looks at his charms book. “Levi! Of course that’s it.” Snape writes it down. “Latin to lift, raise.” Snape thinks. “What goes with it?”

“Corpus is Latin for body… That’s it Levocorpus!”

Snape points his wand and says “Levocorpus!” Binn hangs from his ankles.

Happy Valentine’s Day 92. Chocolate




Snape enters Professor Dumbledore’s office carrying a large, heart shaped box of chocolates.

“For me Severus?”

“This is the Weasley Twins latest gimmick Love Potion Chocolates for Valentine’s Day. The hospital wing is full of love sick students.”

“I see. Would you care for a chocolate?”

Severus looks at the box.

“Where did you get that box?”

“Minerva gave it to me. You don’t think….”

“It does look like my box.”

“That little minx.”

Dumbledore laughs.

“This box came from Honey Dukes. See.”

Dumbledore shows Snape the inside lid.

“Minerva knows better than to buy chocolates from Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes.

Good Night Sweet Prince 91.) Future


Harry and Ginny meet Ron and Hermione at the gates to Hogwarts. Together they walk to the lake. The teachers and Order members wait for them. Today they bury Severus Snape. In memory of his service to the Wizarding World, Snape is to be buried next to Dumbledore. Flinwick levitates Snape’s body. He places it on the table. Shacklefort says a few words followed by McGonagall and Harry. Molly, Hagrid, Minerva, Ginny, and Hermione weep. Harry takes Ginny’s hand. Shacklefort waves his wand. Snape’s remains are encased in black granite. Severus Snape has returned to Hogwarts. His future is history.

Snowball Fight part I 95. Snowball



Hogwarts grounds have a fresh blanket of snow. The students are enjoying their Saturday playing in it. The Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione are throwing snowballs near the castle. Snape walks through the grounds. He is returning from Hogsmeade. Severus heads up the stairs when he’s struck in the back of the head by a snowball. A second one hits him on the shoulder. Snape turns around shaking snow out of his greasy hair.

“Who threw those balls?!!” Snape demands.

“I did,” Fred answers.

“Ten points from Gryffindor,” Snape bellows.

Another snowball hits Snape in the face.

“Good shot,” Fred says.

Snowball Fight part II 79. Author’s Choice Detention



“I thought so,” George says.

Snape removes the snow from his face.

“Fifteen points from Gryffindor and a weeks worth of detention,” Snape says. I should have you’ll expelled.”

“Professor Snape’s right,” Percy says. “Why did you do that?”

“I couldn’t let Fred serve detention alone,” George says.

“That’s very brotherly of you George,” Fred says.

Suddenly Snape is hit with more snowballs from Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny.

“Fifteen points each from Gryffindor and two weeks detention,” Snape hoots.

“Way to go!” George yells. “ Detention party!”

Everyone throws snowballs at Snape covering him. He looks like a snowman.

Memories of Lily 16. Dragonhide Gloves



The students prepare to brew their assigned potion when Pansy Parkinson walks up to Snape’s desk.

“Professor Snape, I forgot my dragonhide gloves. Can I borrow a pair from you?”

Snape takes out a worn pair of gloves.

“You may use these, but you must return them at the end of class,” Snape says.

Pansy takes them and brews her potion. Then she takes the gloves back.

“Thank you, Professor Snape.”

Snape lovingly holds them. They are Lily’s gloves. He rescued them from the ruins of her house. They are all he has left of her. He kisses them tenderly.

The Last Good-bye 36. Muggle



Snape makes his way around Godric Hollow. He wears a muggle coat and hat trying to look inconspicuous. The muggles have seen enough strangely dressed witches and wizards today. They don’t pay any attention to him.

Severus makes his way to the Potter House. He stops and stares at it. It is his entire fault. Lily is dead. Sev should be dead too.

Snape walks into the cemetery. He tries to avoid the wizard mourners. Severus watches them bury Lily from a distance. When everything is over, Sev places his wreath of yellow roses on her grave. “Good-bye my beloved.”

I am writing concerning the appointment of Rubeus Hagrid as Care of Magic Creatures Professor. He is not qualified to hold this teaching position. Hagrid is only half wizard. His mother is a giantess. He does not have the proper education to teach. Hagrid only attended Hogwarts for three years. He was expelled shortly after June 13, 1943. Hagrid never attended another wizarding school. It would be in Hogwarts best interest not to employ Rubeus Hagrid as a professor.

50. Boggart



“Start brewing your potions,” Snape commands. Draco goes to Snape’s desk.

“My knife broke sir,” Draco says. “Could I borrow one from you?”

Snape opens his drawer. A bottle of Madame Hillapot’s Super Lustrous Conditioning Shampoo flies out the drawer and hovers in front of Snape. He takes out his wand and says “Ridiculus!” The bottle turns into a miniature James Potter. While chasing the snitch around in a circle, James falls off his broom. Snape lets out a belly laugh. The boggart explodes. The students look up. “Blimey, I didn’t know Snape could laugh.” “Shut up, Ron!” Hermione says.

Can a Leopard Change his Spots? 38. Patronus



Professor Peacock starts his Slytherin sixth year DADA class.

“Today class we are going to learn how to perform the Patronus Charm. Every Patronus is unique and reflects the caster’s personality. Expecto Patronus!” A silver eagle flies out of Peacock’s wand. “It’s your turn to try.”

‘Expecto Patronus!” A silver bat flies out of Snape’s wand.

“Once you have mastered the charm, your Patronus will never change,” Peacock says.

Severus looks at the memory in the pensieve.

“Expecto Patronus!´ A silver doe flies out of his wand.

“Professor Peacock underestimated the power of love. It changes everything. Lily changed everything.”

This Isn’t Hogwarts 28. Time Turner



Snape plays with the time turner. He flips the hourglass and lets it spin.

Severus finds himself walking down a brightly lit hallway. He enters a classroom.

“Excuse me, sir, but where is Mr. Banner?” Bella Swan asks.

Snape looks around.

Confused he asks, “This is not Hogwarts?”

“No this is Forks High School,” Edward Cullen says.

“And this is potions…” Snape inquires.

“Junior Biology,” Bella says.

Bella leans over and whispers “Look at his pale complexion. Do you think he could be a vampire?”

“Could be the eyes are right, Edward says.


“Must have been an experimental time turner.”

I Don’t Ride Brooms Don’t Ask Me 15. Broom



Snape watches the Slytherin Quidditch practice. Miles Bletchley tries to make a goal when he spirals out of control. Bletchley lands on the ground unharmed, but he breaks his broom.

“Professor Snape, could you get a school broom out of the shed for Bletchey?” Flint asks.”

Snape comes out of the shed with two brooms. He hands one to Bletchey and mounts the other. Snape kicks off and joins he match. Flint hands Snape the quaffle. Severus heads for the goal. Trying to avoid the keeper, Snape runs into the goal falling to the ground.

“Did I make the goal?”

How Do You Spell Potions? 40. Spell



Professor Slughorn returns the previous day’s homework. Snape anxiously waits for his parchment. He’s sure he got an Outstanding on his armadillo bile essay. Snape is disappointed to see he got a Troll. He puts he parchment in his bag and brews today’s potion. After class Snape lags behind. He wants to talk to Professor Slughorn.

“Professor Slughorn, can I have a word with you?” Severus asks. “It’s about yesterday’s homework assignment.”

“Excellent paper, Mr. Snape,” Slughorn says.

“Then why did it rate a Troll?"

“You spelled potion ten times in your essay poshon. You should know how to spell potion.”

Elusive Sirius Black. 18. Whomping Willow



Snape prods the knot on the root with a branch. The Whomping Willow stops moving. He enters the tunnel. Snape comes out at the entrance to the Shrieking Shack. He looks around.

“I know you’re here Black. Come out; come out where ever you are. Lupin told me everything. How he’s helping you hide and get into Hogwarts. Give yourself up. The dementors might go easy on you.”

Snape hears a noise coming from one of the rooms upstairs. He goes up to investigate. A huge black dog appears and lunges at Snape. He knocks Severus down and grabs his wand.

The Hog’s Head 20. Hogsmeade



The dog takes off. He runs down Hogmeade’s main street. Snape chases after him.

“Come back with my wand you mangy mutt,” Snape bellows.

Snape looses the dog around the Hog Head. Severus goes in.

“Aberforth, did you see a huge black dog run into here?”

“I don’t allow dogs in here, but a short man left this for you. Said he found it on the street.”

Aberforth hands Snape his wand. Snape leaves.

Aberforth goes upstairs.

“That was a dumb thing you did stealing Snape’s wand. You could have been caught.”

“It was worth it to see Snivellus’s face. Priceless.”

Harry and Ron have detention with Professor Snape.

“You two have no respect for Hogwarts and its history. For your punishment you are to transcribe word for word Hogwarts: a History, “ Snape says.

“Blimey, that will take us a month,” Ron moans.

“Professor Snape the Gryffindor/Slytherin match is this weekend. Ron and I can’t miss practice. I’m the captain.”

“You should have thought of that before now. Begin!”

Harry and Ron finish their detention.

“Well, we learned one thing from this detention,” Harry says. “We can quote Hogwarts: a History as good as Hermione.”

“And it’s a good thing?”

Forbidden Love 61. Kiss



Severus chases Lily down the dungeon hallway. She ducks into an empty classroom. Feeling it’s safe to go, Lily leaves. She gets a few feet when someone grabs her and pulls her back into the room.

“Will you leave me alone Snape?” Lily says. There’s nothing left to be said. It’s over.”

“There’s a lot more to be said, Severus protests. “I love you, and you love me not James Potter.”

Snape grabs Lily and kisses her hard. She slaps him.

“You’ll never be a deatheater if you keep on kissing mudbloods like me,” Lily says.

“Never say that again!”

Mirror of Erised 89. Past


Snape stands in front of the Mirror of Erised. He stares intently at Lily’s reflection. She’s dressed in her green dress robes. They match her eyes perfectly. Lily jokingly told Severus the green was for Slytherin House. She looks so grown up with her hair in curls. Snape touches the mirror. He wants to touch Lily one more time.

“It does no good to dwell in the past, Severus. To wish for things we can’t have,” Dumbledore says.

“You’re a lucky man. You have no regrets. Nothing you would like to change.”

“You’re right.” Dumbledore sees Arianna’s reflection. She smiles.

Full Moon 23. Telescope




Tonight is a full moon. Severus goes to the Astronomy Tower to watch the grounds. Potter, Black, Lupin, and Pettigrew should be on the prowl at Twilight. Severus waits. When the sun goes down, he goes over to the telescopes. Snape scans the grounds looking for the Marauders.

Severus sees Madame Pomfrey and Lupin leave the castle. They walk to the Whomping Willow. Lupin scratches around the roots. Severus adjusts the telescope, so he can see better. The Whomping Willow stops moving. Madame Pomfrey and Lupin disappear inside the tree.

“There must be a tunnel, but where does it go?”

One Sock, Two Socks, Red Socks, Green Socks 96.) Socks


Snape gets ready this morning as he does every morning. He puts on the same black pants and shirt. Severus opens his sock drawer looking for the same black socks. Instead he finds a pair of green socks with silver snakes. Dumbledore had given him those socks. Snape opens a smaller drawer and takes out a pair of worn green socks. Lily had given him these socks. She knitted them herself. One sock is longer than the other. One snake is bigger than the other too. Snape puts on the older pair of socks. He sits there and remembers Lily.

Undesirable No. 1 2. Muggle Studies



There is a knock at the headmaster’s door.

“Enter”

Alecto Carrow and Neville enter the office.

“This is the one I’ve been telling you about. Longbotton’s the one who keeps disrupting my Muggle Studies class asking stupid questions.”

“I see you’ve decided to replace Potter as the number one trouble maker at Hogwarts.”

“No one can replace Harry Potter. I’m just carrying the torch until he comes back,” Neville says.

“And you think Undesirable No. 1 would dare show his face at Hogwarts?”

“Of course he will. Harry won’t rest until he can come back and throw you’ll out personally.”

The Secret Place 5. Astronomy



Snape leads a blind folded Lily up the steps to the Astronomy Tower.

“You can take the blind fold off,” Severus says.

Lily takes it off and looks around.

“Sev, this is just the Astronomy Tower. You said you were going to take me to your secret place,” Lily protests.

“This is my secret place,” Severus says. “I come up here when I want to be alone. I want it to be your secret place too. We can spend time here together away from that annoying James Potter and his gang.”

Lily kisses Severus on the cheek. “You’re so thoughtful, Sev…”

Happy Birthday Severus 12. Charms



Severus meets Bellatrix and Rodolphus at the Leaky Cauldron for drinks.

“Why so glum Severus?” Rodolphus asks. “It’s not everyday you turn twenty-five.”

“You forgot his birthday present,” Bellatrix says. “We promised Severus a lady. She will put him in the party mood.”

Severus frowns. “I didn’t know you included matchmaking among your many charms.”

“I have many womanly charms you know nothing about.” Bellatrix laughs. “Rodolphus was supposed to hire a professional for the evening.”

Rodolphus chokes on his drink. “You forgot to let me in on your plans darling.”

“I thought Severus could share your tart.” Bellatrix smiles.
