93. Chicken

“Here you are dear” Molly smiled, as she sat on the edge of her daughter’s bed.

“Thanks Mum”

“I’ve brought you some Chicken and Veg soup”

“I love you,”

“I love you two dear – now eat up and feel better.” She patted the top of her daughter’s clammy forehead. Ginny smiled up at her.

“I’m feeling better than I did yesterday,” she smiled, eyes still full of tears – Ginny wasn’t sick she was suffering a broken heart. Harry might be dead in Voldemort clutches – and she had no idea what to do or how to help him. She was scared.

88. sweet tooth

Ginny didn’t have the same affinity to sweets that Ron did. You could say she was well, without a sweet tooth, but that wasn’t the case. She loved sweets, really she did she just didn’t binge on them to the verge of volatile explosions. She was the smart one.

She sat there; nose cringed in utter and complete disgust. There were six of them in his mouth at once – she wanted to hurl; chocolate Frogs that is.

She didn’t mind them, no she did. She didn’t like the feeling of them jumping in her stomach– sweet tooth, no puke tooth?

87. Plaid

Ginny couldn’t help but smile – there in front of her stood a most hilarious site.

Harry Potter in nothing but a red and black plaid kilt – well he was wearing all the Scottish highland barb you’d wear in Braveheart’s time when on a hunting party, except he was carrying bagpipes.

She had no idea what trick her mind was playing on her but she liked it – it was hilarious.

“Hello love,” she smiled walking up to him her hair blowing in the wind – wait how could she see herself and why did she look so exotic. I must be dreaming.

42. Portraits

Ginny walked down the corridor – her eyes transfixed on the portraits whose eyes all seemed to follow her. And then their bodies did as well, that made her smile as it seemed all the portraits on the forth floor corridor were walking from frame to frame with her, their eyes on her, their bodies falling at the same speed.

It was like a game she played on break pacing with portraits is what she liked to call it. After all, that was what it looked like both she and the portraits were doing. And boy did it make her laugh.

47. Portkey

Ginny was running down the hall of her own school – the Carrows in tow. She didn’t have time to get away, she didn’t have time to run off to the seventh floor corridor not when she was now stuck in a dead-end corridor on the first floor. Spells being thrown at her as she ducked into the room next to her.

Locking the door magically she took off her locket Harry had given to her.

“Portus” she called out, grabbing the necklace she felt herself pulled from the room. She was now at home, safe. Ah the power of portkey.

46. Dungeon

Ginny skipped down to potions her fifth year – no more Snape the Dungeons were no longer the dingy place they used to be. It was light, bright, and clean. Ah she loved clean, clean was good – clean wasn’t Professor Snape.

“Hello Professor Slughorn,” she smiled as she took a seat in the classroom smiling all the while she was in NEWT level potions – that was brilliant! She was so happy for herself.

The Professor looked up to her and smiled. “And your name?” He asked.

“Ginevra Weasley – call me Ginny Please!” She smiled happily.

“Pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Weasley.”

59. Ignore

“No it tickles” she whined giggling all the while.

“Aw the tickle monsters going to get you l’il Ginger girl” they laughed pouncing at her she dove to the right.

“No, no, no!” She cried laughing, but Fred and George ignored her, as they always did when it came to the tickle monster and its playtime.

“Yes, yes, yes – get her!” George laughed grabbing her foot and tickling it – Fred had the base of her jaw. Oh she hated tickle hour it was no fun for her – but the laughter that filled the house was iridescent and utterly spectacularly beautiful.

84. Angry

Ginny was past mad, past infuriated, she was past simple angry. Ginny was akin to a dragon. Her eyes were fire. Her hair billowing behind her, as she stood on the precipice of such a momentous decision; she had no idea what she would do how she would answer all she knew was that yes, the answer to his last question was yes. She was mad – she like her mother was ready to rip his head clean off his head.

Ron Weasley her own brother had just said he didn’t think she should Marry the man of her dreams! Jerk!

76. Zap

The sound came quickly like a loud buzz more like a BAzzzzziiiiing-ZAP! Ginny looked around and saw the flash of red zip past her ear, he was sending curses at her with rapid fluid movements but she dodged faster than he could send them.

He was nothing. He was no Voldemort – he wasn’t even frightening he ducked left, jumped right fell to the ground.

“Great job!” He called out happily – he wasn’t trying to kill her, no. He was training her, it was her first week as an Auror and she was doing well. Very extremely perfectly and superiorly well!

79. author's choice/Wailing

“Come here Gin, c’mon girl” he called to her like she was a dog – but she couldn’t comprehend the tone she just crawled over.

Then bang, she was wailing; an uncontrollable, hideous sound erupting from her.

“Honey, honey bear,” he cooed, scooping up the little girl in his arms. “Are you alright baby girl?” He asked smiling his eyes twinkling with regret. She was small in his arms, and she had just crawled into the edge of the magically softened wall.

“Molly, she’s going to have your fiery temper.” he loved his daughter as much as loved his wife Molly.

53. Chase

“Get her” Fred yelled running after the girl who would hide behind pots, then chase after him and tackle him.

“Getting her.” George nodded.

“No you won’t she’s behind you” Ron remarked smirking. She wasn’t.

“You twerp.” They said in unison.

“OW don’t bite my ankle Ginny!” Fred cried, looking down it was a Gnome.

Ginny jumped from behind scaring the Gnome off. At three, she was better than a dog, faster and she’d chase Gnomes to the drive. Where splat – no more Gnome.

“GINNY” Molly chased after scooping her in her arms and yelling at the people driving by.

80. author's choice/SURPRISE

“SURPRISE” they yelled out jumping out from behind everything – it was her birthday she was old now – her children all grown up even her youngest Lily Luna was now married.

“Mom,” Lily walked over to her, holding his hand – Ginny smiled over to them.

“Yes love?” She asked smiling.

“We’re pregnant,” Lily put her hand over her stomach, “she’ll be born August 1st, or so its speculated.” She smiled. Even if it still shocked her that her own long-lost cousin’s child had married someone related to his school-year nemisis.

“Aw, that’s wonderful for you Scorpius tell Malfoy hello for us.”

56. Fight

“FIGHT” Goyle chanted “FIGHT” Crabbe pipped in.

“This isn’t good!” Hermione yelled to Ginny.

Ginny, was standing there her wand poised just inches from Malfoy’s nose.

“Hello Draco.” She spat, glaring at him she wasn’t in the mood to deal with him today she wasn’t fearful of him she was strong willed she’d never fear a man such as that – a man who’d curse a man behind his back.

“Well, Weasley looks like you took up that idiots offer of being a snogging partner.” He leered. “Slag.”

She punched, there was the foreboding crunch and grind of his nose breaking.

57. Gape

There wasn’t much more to do but stare. Her jaw open as it had fallen into a gaping look of utter awe.

Her big brother was snogging his best girl friend and oh he looked like he didn’t want to let her go – and for that matter neither did she.

Ginny turned to Harry who looked slightly put out. Why did he look put out? Then she realized – it wasn’t because of what was happening it was because what was happening was happening now on the eve of destruction.

She took a step closer and he whispered.

“I love you,”

58. Hoot

Ginny couldn’t stop laughing what on earth was Luna Lovegood up too anyways?

She looked over to her friend and smiled, as she saw the zany girl walking back-and-forth her arms tucked just so and pumping just so. It made her look like she was trying to prefect the wing-part of the chicken dance – and she might have been who knew.

That was when Luna began hooting at the owls above them in the owlery.

What on earth is this crazy friend of mine up to?

Then a plump owl joined in following Luna and another.

It looked insanely hilarious.

60. Joke

“Ginny c’mon we’re going to be late.” Fred and George called to her.

She had no idea where she was going – or what they were bringing her to. She had no idea what they’d been up to all ruddy summer instead of getting jobs they were off pranking – as usual.

“Why do I have to wear a dress so this place?”

“Because, it’s the opening night.”

“And we got invited.”

“Of course we got invited – it wouldn’t happen without us.”

Not ten minutes later through use of the Floo network they were at a joke shop.

Must’ve been a joke.

73. War

This was war. Or so she declared it.

Smiling at him, yes she was smiling at the guy who irked her so much – smiling at him was just the first step. He was a friend after all, but never noticed her as more than that.

Then, step two find a guy to flirt with a snogg with in front of him. Dean Thomas was a suitable snogg-partner. He was his dorm mate, in his year, he wasn’t a close friend so it won’t you know?

Step three only worked if he got jealous. That was to continue till he kissed.

63. Mooch

Ugh. Disgusting he just had to try and get every single darn thing in the world for free didn’t he? Even with their mum and dad’s love and affection?

Ginny those choice non-mooching words were exchanged

“I was a fool! I was an idiot, I was a pompous prat, I was a -” She agreed..

“Ministry-loving, family-disowning, power-hungry moron” Fred interrupted supplying his own ideas.

“Yes, I was!” Percy agreed – score, he agreed?

She turned and looked to Fred once more as he spoke.

“Well, you can’t say fairer than that” He held out his hand, accepting Percy back home.

64. Nap

Ginny was never the type of girl who liked taping naps – not even as a little kid. Somehow, she’d hoped, no expected her kids to like them.

Boy was she more than wrong. They took less naps then she did – it was said if you visited her when they happened to be asleep you’d have a fifty percent chance of meeting a woman who looked haggard and tired but was unluckily awake.

And another fifty percent chance of meeting someone who was actually asleep, but was sitting on the chair eyes wide open. As if she was still wide awake.

86. Daring

She looked down at her diary after she’d written it and blushed – oh god. It was hard to look at daringly she read it.

6. He can face death without fear
7. Oh my gosh I WANT to snogg him so badly!

10. He’s not obsessed with that Veela-girl
11. He kissed me!

She smiled, closing the book.

85. Snappish

Ginny turned her head quickly to look at whoever it was who was flirting with her – not even five minutes after Harry left. And not even five minutes after Fleur and Bill’s wedding was ambushed.

“You” she spoke in a snappish tone, taking a step closer to Viktor. “Now is not the time to try and use your burlish charm – if you had any charm that is alright? Why don’t you go and check if anyone else needs help and not tell me whose not single that I’m beautiful! And do the same FAVOR for Hermione! JERK!”

She was mad.

77. Cheerful

It wasn’t that she wasn’t happy no it was that she was past it she was ecstatic.

“Hermione!” She giggled, walking over to the girl’s bed, and sitting down next to her.

“Yes Mrs. Cheer-ful-Gin?” Hermione asked raising an eyebrow and laughingly smiling to her.

“I’m so happy – but, I want you to know I think Ron likes you.”

“No he’s with Lavender.”

“Lavender-smavender.” Ginny laughed, brushing her off as nothing. “He told me he thought you were dating Cormac.” Ginny pointed out.

“He thought I was dating THAT?” Hermione gasped.

Ginny smiled, “SO, I think that means he’s jealous.”

72. Vex

Ginny sat there in the Gryffindor Common room – apparently she was getting a grammar lesson from Hermione?

“What does Vex mean?” Hermione asked, smiling as she looked down into her dusty old dictionary.

“To vex is to agitate someone” as I’m agitated right now, she thought to herself. “it’s what Peeves does to everyone, and Snape when he treats Gryffindors like they don’t know anything.”

Its what you are doing to me right now with this stupid grammar lesson you gave me! Without asking IF I even wanted one.

Stop VEXING me. Or I’ll be mean, and full of irony.

82. Careful

She had to be careful, she couldn’t let them know she was listening – one step further and whatever it was that lived in their pipes would bang like no other and the floor would creak and sway in an obvious someone’s listening way. She sat on the landing by Ron’s room.

Unable to hear what they were doing as they asked. Why did he have to ask? Why was it important to have her dad and mum’s wishes? She thought furrowing her brow.

“Harry, we already consider you family, so, yes you’ve got our blessing right Molly?”

Ginny was ecstatic.

83. Fearful

Ginny, before she had heard her father’s response to Harry asking for his blessing in marrying her was so fearful that it would take a turn for the worse. That he would say he’d hurt her because he left her so she wouldn’t be killed and that he wouldn’t let him marry her unless he knew for sure that Voldemort was actually dead this time.

But, now, as she knew what he had said, the fear washed away like most of her dreams did when she woke. Oh, she was happy, very happy she could sing and dance she did.
