100 Drabbles Of James/Lily by Steph – Sa13+ Steph was here... Credit for the beautiful banner goes to Kelv! For Gracie cause I know she will like it. :P DONE! “Please! You said you would. Just one go around I promise.” Lily just stared at James as he sat upon his brand new motorcycle, that he conveniently charmed to make it fly. “You’re crazy. Why would you buy one of those? They are not practical.” Lily said, crossing her arms over her chest. “I thought it would be fun. Come on Lily please!” Then he gave her the puppy-dog eyes. “Fine.” She caved, and seated herself behind him. He turned the motorcycle on with a roar, and so nobody could hear her, Lily mumbled, “It sure isn’t a Ford Anglia.” |
#8. Potions James was bored. Potions was such a boring subject. The only thing that kept him going was Lily was in this class too. Gave him something to do. Something to look at while Professor Slughorn drawled on about something or another. As he sat staring at the back of her head with her wavy auburn colored hair, she turned back to look at him. His eyes then went wide as she smiled at him, and threw a piece of parchment at him. Hurriedly he opened it and read what she wrote. “Quit staring at me if you value your life.” |
#21. Veela (Takes place their First Year) “Maybe she is part Veela.” Sirius said, walking down the hall with James. “Lily Evans? Nah, she is a muggleborn remember?” James replied, pushing his glasses further up his nose. “Well you tend to act like an idiot when she is around. I was just trying to solve the mystery.” “I don’t act like an idiot when she’s around!” Sirius just snorted, as his mate grew defensive. James was still pouting as they turned the corner and walked straight into the Gryffindor. “I like flowers!” James blurted out, his glasses falling down his nose again. Sirius rolled his eyes, “Idiot.” |
#96. Socks “So what did you get James for Christmas?” Alice Longbottom asked Lily. “Socks.” Lily replied with a smile. They had snitches stitched on each side. “Socks? You got your boyfriend socks?” Alice raised an eyebrow at her. Lily’s smile faltered. “Yeah. We’ve only been dating a month. Do you think I should have gotten him something else?” “The boy has been in love with you forever! And you are going to reciprocate by giving him socks for Christmas?” Lily, beginning to panic, turned her head as Sirius and Remus walked in. “Sirius what did James get me for Christmas?” “Socks.” |
#15. Room “I call this room!” “Sirius, this isn’t your house.” Lily said. “You can’t call this room, cause I already called it.” Said James. “James this is your house.” “And that’s why I get first dibs.” James said, smirking. “No fair! You can’t call dibs just because you live here!” Sirius protested. “Watch me.” “Sirius, you do know this is James’ and I house right?” Lily asked. “Your point Evans?” Sirius tilted his head in her direction. “Men.” Lily rolled her eyes at the wavy, black haired man and watched as the two men continued to argue who got the room. |
#54. Dare “Truth or Dare.” Sirius smiled mischievously. “Dare.” James replied without hesitation. “I dare you to kiss Evans.” Sirius smirked, as Peter’s jaw fell open. “I don’t know James. I don’t think Lily would like that.” Remus said. James thought about it, not wanting to hurt Lily, but at the same time really wanting to kiss her. “You’ll never know unless you do it. Confess your feelings, Mate!” Sirius encouraged. Peter nodded enthusiastically next to him. “Alright I’ll do it. But only because I really want to kiss her.” James smiled. “That’s my boy.” Sirius chuckled, while Remus frowned behind them |
#61. Kiss James was waiting until he found Lily alone. Finally Sirius spotted her by herself. Quickly he walked over to her before he lost his nerve and pulled her to her feet. She opened her mouth to say something, when James planted his lips onto hers. What surprised James the most was how she kissed him back. Slowly James pulled back and gave Lily a timid smile. “I knew you would never back down on a dare. Well done mate.” Sirius patted James on the back. “Sirius!” Remus said alarmed, as Lily ran away from the four, tears in her eyes. |
#59. Ignore “Lily! Please. Don’t ignore me.” James followed after the red head, his eyes pleading for her to listen to him. “Come on Lily. Will you just listen to me?” He grabbed her arm to make her stop walking. “Let go of me Potter.” Lily said, her bottle green orbs flashing. “Not until you hear what I have to say.” “I don’t care what you have to say! I really don’t care.” She said, pulling her arm free and walking swiftly into the girl’s lavatory. James sighed heavily, wondering how long she was going to ignore him this time. Some dare. |
#84. Angry “I swear I didn’t mean for her to get angry at you, Mate.” Sirius said, trying to keep up with a fuming James. “Lily thinks I only kissed her for a dare now!” James shouted. Furiously, he pushed his glasses up from his nose, almost poking his eye in the process. “I know. This does look bad doesn’t it?” Sirius chuckled uneasily. When James just narrowed his eyes even more, Sirius figured it was better to not joke with him. “Let me fix this.” “No Sirius. You’ve done enough.” James said through gritted teeth and stormed up to his Dormitory. |
#69. Slap “Oi! Evans, wait up.” Lily took a slow breath, trying to control her temper as she continued down the corridor. “Can I talk to you?” Sirius asked. “No.” “Hear me out.” Sirius said, walking backwards in front of her. “James would never kiss you just because of a dare.” “Go away Black.” “He really did want to kiss you. I just got him to man up by daring him.” Sirius smiled. What he didn’t see coming was the slap to the face. “Ok. I think I deserved that.” Sirius mumbled. Lily ignored him and kept walking to her next class. |
#81. Depression “It looks like you got in a fight with a Grindylow. And lost.” Peter chuckled, as James finally came down from his dorm. “It’s called depression Pettigrew!” James snapped. “Come on James snap out of it.” Sirius sighed. James glared at him. “James! There you are.” Remus walked through the portrait hole, with a grin on his exhausted face. “Lily is looking for you.” “I’m not in the mood Remus.” James groaned, slumping down in an armchair. “Seriously. She’s looking for you. Go. Now.” Remus ordered. Taken aback, James got up from his seat to look for Lily, thoroughly confused. |
#32. Common room James ran his hand through his messy hair as he walked somberly down the hall. What was he thinking? Lily didn’t want to talk to him. He should just go back to the Common Room. “James!” He turned to see Lily running up to him, and she was smiling. “What’s wrong? You look like you just saw a ghost.” She giggled at her joke. “You’re talking to me?” “Remus talked to me. He made me realize it was all a misunderstanding.” She smiled. “But Sirius really did dare me.” He mumbled. Lily shrugged and kissed him softly on the lips. |
#48. Leprechaun “Grindylow!” “Hippogriff!” “House Elf!” “What are you two doing now?” Lily walked into the living room to find James and Sirius sitting on the floor, facing each other. “Throwing insults at each other, my little leprechaun.” James smiled. “Leprechaun! That’s brilliant. I’ll give you that one.” Sirius laughed. “Thank you, bloody dementor.” James grinned. “Fine! You win this round Potter.” Sirius pouted. “Winner!” James shouted, throwing his hands in the air. He then proceeded to making cheering noises. “You two are worse than little kids.” Lily rolled her eyes, walking out of the room. “Bye Leprechaun!” They shouted after her. |
#31. Dress robes “But I don’t want to wear dress robes!” “James, you have to. It’s a wedding, not a casual day.” Lily scolded. “But why?” James whined. “Come on mate. It’s for Frank and Alice.” Sirius said, already in his dress robes. “Thank you Sirius.” Lily smiled, smoothing down her brides man dress, which happened to be a hideous turquoise color. “Then again, you can always go nude.” Sirius smirked. “Can I Lily? Please?” James grinned. “I’m a dunce to think you were on my side.” Lily sighed. “It’s settled. James is going nude to the wedding.” Sirius declared. “Excellent.” James beamed. |
#66. Pace “You need to pace yourself, mate. If you ask her out every single day, she won’t ever say yes. Try asking her every other week.” Sirius suggested. “Girls. They are so aggravating!” James said, frustrated. “Just try it.” “Fine.” Three days later. “You’ve changed.” Lily said. “How so?” James asked, holding her books as they walked to Herbology. “You don’t ask me out everyday anymore. It’s nice talking to you as a normal person.” She smiled warmly. “Right. So I know it hasn’t been a week, but want to go out?” “Nice try.” She giggled and walked into the greenhouse. |
#70. Team “Yes!” “No!” “Yup!” “Nope!” “What’s wrong with you two? People are trying to study.” Said Lily, walking up to the boys sitting on the couch in the Common Room. “I say I am much more handsome than Sirius. What do you think?” James winked at his girlfriend. “I think, Remus is not bad looking.” Lily smiled and walked away. “I thought you were on my team, Lily!” She giggled and walked up to her dormitory as Remus walked through the portrait hole. “You!” James pointed his finger. “Stay away from Lily.” “What?” Remus asked, confused. Sirius laughed as James sulked. |
#40. Spell “I put a spell on you! And now you’re mine.” “James what are you doing?” Lily jumped as James abruptly entered the room. She watched as he inched toward her, his hazel eyes playful. “I ain’t lyin’, no, I ain’t lyin’” James sang dramatically. “You have to be the weirdest person I have ever met.” Lily chuckled. “You know you like my singing.” James replied, kissing her on the cheek. “That was singing?” Lily raised an eyebrow, teasingly. “Ouch.” James clutched his chest as if he were in pain. Lily just shook her head and laughed, amused with the man. |
#91. Future “Lily?” James looked down at the beautiful woman, her head lying in his lap. “Hm?” She looked up, serenely. “Why do you want to marry me?” he asked desolately. He couldn’t figure out why someone as pure as her would want to marry someone like him. After all the trouble he used to cause in school. He knew how much of a bully he was. “Because I love you.” She replied, resting her hand on his cheek. “But after all the things I did to people in the past-” “James. Don’t think about the past. Just think of our future.” |
#88. Sweet tooth “Lily I brought you an apple.” James grinned. Lily turned to look at him. “No thank you.” She refused gently. “What about a muffin?” “Thanks, but I’m not hungry.” She smiled. “Ok, ok. What about a waffle?” “James.” She chuckled. “Fine.” James replied, digging through his bag to pull out a chocolate frog. The red head eyed it, before scooting closer to him. “Can I have one?” He handed her one and she beamed, taking a bite. “Who would’ve guessed you was a sweet tooth.” “I like chocolate.” She shrugged. “That’s it! The way to a woman’s heart is chocolate.” |
#1. Herbology “Hurry up James! We are going to be late!” Lily yelled, running down the corridor. “I’m coming. I’m coming!” He was right behind her, following her toward Charms. Just as the final bell rang, the two burst through the door. “Made it!” James smiled smugly. “Um, James. Look around.” Glancing around the classroom, James noticed something odd. Everybody was rather short to be Seventh Years. A little too short… “Why is everybody so short?” James asked. “They are first years, that’s why.” Lily rolled her eyes. “Oh yeah! We are supposed to be in Herbology.” James laughed. Lily just sighed. |
#4. Ancient Runes “You’re in Ancient Runes?” James asked in a shocked voice, as she walked out of the classroom. “Yeah.” Lily looked at him strangely. “Why?” He couldn’t understand why somebody would take that class. “Because it interests me.” She replied, walking down the corridor to her next class. James followed after her. “Really?” He was in awe. “Is there something you want Potter?” Lily was beginning to grow impatient with him. “Not really. Just wondering why you would take a weird class like that.” James replied. “Good bye Potter.” “Wait! I didn’t mean that as an insult.” He called after her. |
#42. Portraits “James, people are staring.” Lily said uncomfortably, looking around at the gawking eyes. “I don’t care.” “Professors are staring.” “I don’t care.” James replied again. “The portraits are staring.” “Lily, I don’t care. Now will you shush and hold my hand in peace?” he chuckled at her. He couldn’t help but smile. Shyly, she laced her fingers in between his, without another word. She gave him a timid smile, as they continued their walk down the corridor. “Thank you.” He sighed happily. It finally happened. James Potter had finally convinced Lily Evans to go out with him. It was official. |
#92. Chocolate “Run! Lily’s angry!” Sirius came dashing out of the kitchen. “What did you do?” James asked, watching his mate run behind him. “I don’t know. Maybe it’s that time of the month.” Sirius shrugged. “Sirius Black!” Lily screamed, storming into the living room. “Hurry! Throw chocolate at her and run!” Sirius ran from the room. “Lily what happened?” James asked his wife, wondering what happened to anger her so much. “He turned Harry’s hair green!” Lily shouted furiously. James held in his laughter, for his own good. “I thought it would match his eyes.” Sirius yelled from the other room. |
#12. Charms “Have you done your Charms homework yet?” James asked, looking at the girl with auburn hair sitting in front of him, in the library. “Yes.” “Can I see it?” James asked slyly. “Why?” she replied, skeptically. “I want to check my answers.” “You did it?” she raised an eyebrow. “Yeah. Now I want to see it I did it right.” He grinned. “Let me see it.” “You don’t trust me?” he gave her a hurt look. “No. Now let me see it.” “I can’t.” he replied, with a sigh. “Why?” “Didn’t do it.” “That’s what I thought.” She smiled smugly. |
#98. Pajamas “James what’s going on? You woke me up.” Lily said groggily. She had on a pair of sweats that had girly flowers all over them, with a matching button up shirt, her hair thrown up in a messy ponytail. “Wow, nice pajamas Evans.” Sirius snickered, as she walked into the dark Common Room. “Thanks Sirius.” She rolled her eyes. “Come on. We are going on an adventure.” James said excitedly, taking her hand and leading her toward the portrait hole. “Now?” She squeaked, nervous about leaving the Common Room at night. What if they were caught? “Yes now.” James laughed. |
