100. Homework::{ cookie craze } Mini Challenge

Ali wasn’t your average teen – much like she’s not your average witch in general; she was often called that-crazy girl, because of how she would go about doing homework when at Hogwarts.

“Stop I’m not your number one enemy” Ali sang spinning around in a circle, then, ducking down she wrote another line of her homework.

Three signs of being a werewolf she grabbed the raspberry cookie from in front of her and took a bite. Heaven, she was in heaven except for the homework made it feel like hell.

The clumsy blond danced, breaking ‘round breaking the table lamp.

50. Bogart

Alicia screamed as she saw what lay before her. She didn’t care that it was a Bogart, it didn’t matter the thought of it would scare her half to death.

“No, no, no!” She cried tears falling down her cheeks. Her heart felt like it was breaking – it was breaking. The Bogart in front of her had morphed into Jaxton Tanner, and right now he was falling to the ground dead and lifeless.

“Don’t do this to me” she glared up to the Bogart a fire in her eyes. “Ridikulus” nothing happened. Her fear of losing him was too grand.

49. Yule Ball

She had always wanted to go to a Yule ball herself, but this seemed far better. She spun around the sparkles on her blue dress catching the light as she twirled. She felt beautiful, even more so with the fact that she was someone very special’s plus one to a Ministry Gala event.

The cult had been taken down, and this was their celebratory ball.

Walking out of her room to the living room she stopped and watched as Jaxton smiled at her.

“You sure the shoes are a good choice?” He asked a loving tone clear on his breath.

48. Leprechaun

Saint Patrick’s day came all too soon. Green things all over muggle London and the fake Leprechaun posters and stickers sold everywhere just made her laugh. “Those are so fake,” she nearly snorted as she made her way to the ministry.

Today she had decided to walk. Walking was good for the soul and well, so was laughter. And the cherub cheeked little men in green overalls just made her laugh.

“If they only knew” she chuckled as she entered the secret entrance to the ministry. Her laughter could be heard from all around ringing and joyous none were unaffected.

47. Portkey

The small gray brick looked like nothing more than that, but it was special. Putting her hand on the stone she felt that familiar tug of being pulled by her naval to another location and when the feeling had disappeared and she found herself falling towards the ground she also found herself landed in someone’s outstretched arms.

“Jaxton” she smiled as he finally set her on her feet. She loved the feeling of being in his arms. Looking around the room she just blushed.

The date he had set up was just perfect everything was perfect. She was with him.

46. Dungeon

When Kyle informed her of the state of the Hogwart’s dungeons she hadn’t believed her at first. Not until she was given the jar filled with some kind of green slime from the walls.

Disgusting.

“You seriously collected slime off of the wall?” She asked her niece in shock – and also, quite literally nearly too disgusted for words.

“Yeah I did – I wanted to check what it was really…slime, mold, moss, something even more mundane” she shrugged her shoulder. What? She wasn’t odd at all.

Alicia just chuckled. “Kyle have I ever told you, I love you, but you’re crazy.”

45. Torch

Glancing over at Jaxton and she couldn’t help but smile. She didn’t know what made her hold this fiery little torch for him. What did make him seem to glow in her eyes?

Sure some might have said she had him on a pedestal. But where was the pedestal?

He was there - he left - he came back for her. She didn’t see an error in that.

No one understood why she loved him so, none but her family. Then again, she didn’t have many friends to care about what she did with her love life in general. She was happy.

44. Ford Anglia

How had anyone ever thought these were good cars? She thought looking over to her roommate like she was insane.

“You bought an Anglia? A Ford Anglia? Does it even run?” She asked rolling her eyes. Alicia wasn’t much of a car person really - but why did a young witch who lived right next to her school need a car when there was the perfectly stable Floo network right near her?

She pondered this for a minute before turning and walking back inside. “I hope that thing can’t fly - I really don’t want her to crash and, ge-get hurt.”

43. Headmaster

“Your headmaster said what?” Alicia asked as she was unable to hold back a fit of uncontrollable laughter. Kyle made her smile, she did, her life was so innocent ands he was so - like a little kid in a candy store most of the time.

“He asked us all not to die when you are at Hogwarts dear” she explained not seeing the hilarity of course.

“Hun, you do know that he was probably just feeling awkward - I feel for him...and really he said that when you were transferring which makes it better. Don’t worry we’ll keep you safe.”

42. Portraits

Portraits sometimes creeped her out. Especially muggle ones that looked like they could follow you with their beady little eyes. She gulped as she past the last portrait in her childhood home and just sighed the teenager didn’t really like it here.

“You can’t expect me to commend you for leering at me” the portrait of an ancestor snipped at her. She jumped.

“Oh god talking portraits even better, s-sorry” she backed against the wall.

The portrait scoffed at her. “We can hear you child, be glad I can’t climb out of these confinements and slap you” she scoffed.

41. Thestral

Alicia had never seen anyone die - not until she worked in the ministry in france. And she wasn’t ready for the shock that came afterwards, glancing up around her from where a friend had been hit by a ruddy muggle car she just jumped.

There was a big black almost scary looking horse right in front of her flying above a building. Did anyone else see that?

She glanced around - no one saw the bat-like winged horse.

“Oh my goodness! A real Thestral?” She glanced up at the house as it flew past her soaring higher into the sky.

40. Spell

The crashing sound woke her from her sleep and immediately she ran into the kitchen. Standing there in her pajamas and seemingly sleep walking was her niece.

“Good gravy, Ky what are you doing?”

“Mmmmm” was all she said as Kyle began to climb onto a counter top.

As soon as Alicia saw that Kyle was about to fall off of the counter she quickly reacted whipping out her wand, “Immobulus” the spell had worked. Grabbing the surprisingly heavy girl and shifting her over the couch she let the spell go and suddenly Kyle was awake and fresh fallen down.

39. Duel

“Densaugeo” her dueling partner cast the spell at her - missing by only an inch.
“Nice try Matthias” she aimed her wand at his chest and quickly, easily cast “Expelliarmus” his wand when shooting out of his hand - landing with a clank on the ground.
Matthias frowned fetched his wand and was back at the ready. Dueling classes weren’t her thing - but she wasn’t inept. It wasnt like it was a class on advance ballet and how to dance without knocking someone in the face with a flailing arm. Which, knowing her happened quite a bit often. She had no grace.

38. Patronus

It was absolutely beautiful, standing there on all fours and just starring at her. “Go tell Jaxton to come home and bring me to Saint Mungo’s immediately” Alicia grimaced as she sent the Doe Patronus off with a flick of her wand to Jaxton Tanner.

She knew any minute now he would come to her aid, save her from the agony of kitchen knives. “Why am I so stupid” she winced as she looked down at the knife that had fallen onto her hand as she had been cleaning the floor.

She blanched there was blood everywhere, she hated blood.

37. Animagus

Reading her transfigurations textbook she was purely intrigued. The concept of being able to change your body into any animal that fit you - much like your patronus fit you was absolutely magical. I wonder what mine would be? She pondered.

A doe most likely, she considered.

Or a swan...they can fly away - that’s the smart choice.

Or an owl, as my family all tends to be Ravenclaw’s and their mascot is the owl.

She smiled reading the book about regulations - only seven registered Animagi during the famed Harry Potter’s years in Hogwarts. That must have meant it was tough.

36. Muggle

“Someone told me you would be in here” Max’s voice came over as her small cousin stopped and sat down next to her.

“So how’s school?” She asked the little kid - since he was after all half her grand age of fourteen.

“Dumb” he frowned.

“Ah it’ll get better who knows maybe one day you will be like me - wonderful, and in a world filled with magic and well, wondrous things.”

“Yeah sure Ali, but magic doesn’t exist dad told me.”

“Well he doesn’t see it - he’s muggle you my friend are amazing. You’ll see, you’ll be different” she smiled.

35. Pureblood

She was ten when it happened.

Her grandmother told her everything about her stature - her standing in the wizarding community and one reason her magic was so strong. Her grandmother was evil.

“Pureblood?” The twins said in unison both equally puzzled.

“Yeah - mum and dad are both from magical families but mum wasn’t happy with dad so thats why they split” the twins frowned at this. “Gran said she committed the most horrendous crime of her family lineage by splitting with dad...then again, she’s never liked mum at all. Mum was far kind for her.”

That explained it right?

34. Parsel Tongue

Her throat was scratchy as she screamed for help - no words came out. Only a string of useless sounds - the word like sounds slithered from her mouth and made her cringe at the darkness.

No, she couldn’t speak to snakes - and here she was yelling in what she thought was parseltongue. I can’t speak parseltongue she thought in panic as she saw the snake in front of her begin to shift its coils.

She was going to die for sure - no, she couldn’t die.

She couldn’t.

Tears began to fall and as the scream began she suddenly awoke.

33. Classroom

The classroom was large, filled with laughter, and a girl on the verge of sobbing. Her blond hair covered in macrame paste - god she hated her life.

“You are a jerk” she squeaked at her classmate and sighed she didn’t like jerks.

“Come off it Devereaux it gives you a certain something and proves you are careless.”

Alicia didn’t want to learn how to roll with the punches but throwing them wasn’t her thing. Glancing around the classroom she simply decided that these people weren’t worth her time. They weren’t her friends and she didn’t want to their be friends.

32. Common Room

The electric hum of lights flickering on and the rumbling roar of the vending machine in the corner of the room muffled the squeak of the little mouse that had scurried out into the middle of the common room.

“AHHHHHHH! Souris!” She screamed “Mouse no” she squeaked as it ran across her foot. She felt like she was going to scream or cry - or both. The teenager didn’t like hospitals - and worse hospitals whose common rooms were teaming with scurrying little vermin.

“Don’t bite me mouse!” It didn’t. It just squeaked and ran off - like any other sane mouse would.

31. Dress Robes

It was the day. Well not THE DAY - but the day she had to try on 50,000 Dress Robes to find THE DRESS that was going to be hers. Alicia gulped.

Her chest felt tighten as she thought about all the options.

“Thanks for coming with me love,” she smiled over to her niece and gave her a quick squeeze on the hand as she slipped into the dress.

The minute she saw it on - she knew, this was the dress. This was the dress that she wanted to walk down the isle to become Mrs. Tanner in.

30. Feast

Tonight everything looked amazing. The table was set beautifully. And everything - and she meant everything smelled so good. It was a regular feast. In fact, it was.

It was the annual family reunion. There was a little bit of everything.

But her favorite thing, the ability to feast her eyes on seeing her niece happy. Smiling - laughing, and with someone she cared about. He was nice - despite whatever Jaxton told said. As long as Kyle was happy - she was happy. And as soon as she wasn’t she would defend her like anyone is really guardian is supposed to.

29. Pensieve

CRASH.

Jumping to a start she felt her legs propelling her as fast and nimbly as they possibly could.

Groaning. She heard groaning - as she ran into the living room she found her there, slumped on the floor. Her roommate, Chelsea had her head in her hands and was moaning about memories - pensieves. Altered ones.

She was the pensieve examiner after all.

“Are you alright, do I need to call Dean?” Alicia asked as she rubbed her exhausted roommates back. She wanted her to be alright.

Pacing - she paced back and forth until the man of the hour finally arrived.

28. Timeturner

She had only ever seen them in text books - but every bit of her wanted to see one in reality. She would change so many times in her life. So many little accidents.

She would freeze time and tell Aurelie that she loved her one last time. She would tell her not to leave - not to go on the job, to stay with her daughter. She would also use the timeturner to stop so many of her own little accidents.

And by accidents she meant accidents. Falling over people, knocking things down, and accidentally hurting herself all those times - erased.

27. Owl

Her hand trembled as she read the parchment - the owl, a small tawny one just sat there starting at her like he wanted a treat for flying so well. He deserved it.

Reaching into a small jar on the windowsill she handed him a small cookie - he loved it. Gobbling it down. She couldn’t watch him she had to read.

Every word brought her closer to tears.

She was the exec-executor of her s-sisters estate? Her sister?

She knew she had something important to do with it. But now, now she had to act as guardian as well?

26. Quills

Walking up and down the isles of Scribbulus she couldn’t help but smile. The fresh smell of parchment, all the well stocked bottles of ink, and the fresh quills would drive anyone who loved to write - well, happy.

Purchasing her new supplies was the first step. The next was sitting down and writing everything her heart desired for a long while. Well - not all she desired. Most of the equipment was for work.

She had to write up all those papers, the law documents, and not to mention inter office notes. Seeing as she was working a very important case.
