Default Memory Book

If you are a graduating student, the time has finally come for you to approach the pedestal against the far wall and sign off like all those before you. The Memory Book is where you can leave behind an account of your favourite memories of Hogwarts and advice for future students to read. Should there be any lingering thoughts about the school, now would be time to let them go before you join the adult world beyond.

This is likely the first time you have ever gotten this close to the pedestal. You notice that the book those you saw writing in it all these years has been bound in brass and brown leather. Although the book is old, it surprisingly has been kept under great care as only the beginning pages are starting to turn yellow. Feel free to flip through the pages, read up on what your already-graduated friends and even your parents had to say. Whenever you are ready, simply pick up the self-inking quill set beside the book and pour your heart and soul onto the first crisp blank page you see.

Rupert = *swoon* "You know I'm right..."

Pauline slowly walked up to the book she wasn't ready to sign for students younger then her to read when she left. Hogwarts had given her a lot of memories and she didn't know how to sum them all up in a few short paragraphs.

She opened up the book and flipped through some of the pages remembering a few of the names. Ginny, Serena, Julia, Kay (the best quidditch player ever at Hogwarts that she remembered), and of course flirtatious Jacques.

She flipped to the page right after Luna a former Quidditch player a hint of jealousy in her eyes because she never had an opportunity to be one. She shook her thoughts from her mind and figured it was for the best.

Taking the pen she began:

Quote:
For starters, not all Slytherins are evil. Read it, memorize it, write that phrase on a piece of paper, and eat it. So you won't get lost drop some bread crumbs and leave a trail. Next, never give CPR to a teacher no matter how much they look like they are dieing. Lastly beware of green gooses, turtles, and people who are crazt about boxes.

For All Slytherins: I had the best time in this house and we shall win the Quidditch Cup again one day. For the young grasshoppers in Slytherin earn all the points you can get, sign up for the Quidditch team, go to class, get a group of students and play hide and go seek in the school, go to teachers for problems, and have fun.

For everyone else: You guys are my family and Hogwarts is my home. Never regret or forget what happens here. It will mean something someday.

Pauline Grace Sklenar
Slytherin For Life.
With that last phrase she put the pen down. She re-read it to make sure it was what she wanted and then smiled. She had official done her last and final task at Hogwarts. Closing the book, she looked at the front over, closed her eyes for a second intaking the moment, opened them and walked away, leaving her memories in a little book for people to read and remember.

Rosalie read over the first few names in the book before pulling out her quill. Nadia Chantalona Rey, Ashlie Moore, Ganymede Craft...her eyes stopped on that name, and a grin spread across her face. Professor G.Z. Craft...She’d adored the woman, and these were her parting words to Hogwarts.

“If I see Borr outside of Hogwarts, he better be ready for a prank that won't land me in Detention!” That was her second favorite Professor of all time right there. Professor Mao-Macdougal had been older than her. She wouldn’t be in the book. Rosalie was grinning no less. This book was timeless. This was her chance to leave a mark.

Alie pulled out a quill, and bottle of green ink. She began to write in her elegant script.

Quote:
To my fellow Slytherins, present, and future-

Remember that you are no more evil than you wish to be. Being a Slytherin is an honor that you should boast proudly. It’s nothing to do with pure blood, or ability to hex someone. You are meant for as much greatness as every other student at Hogwarts, even the Gryffindors. Remember that, and strive to be all you can be.

Maybe Slytherin has had a bad name, but it’s time that changed. The ball is rolling now, please keep it moving, do what I never could.

Know the rules, know your limits. Walk the line, but never cross it!

We are subtle, we are cunning, and we can do anything. Detention is a choice, not a punishment.

-Attendo Thea Vipera

To everyone else-

Hogwarts was my home. I’ve done many hard things in my life, but none so difficult as leaving these walls. Your days here are numbered, cherish them. Use them well. Before you know it, they will be over, and you too, will be writing in these pages, as many have before.

Rosalie Kaitlyn Hale
PROUD SLYTHERIN
Seventh Year
When she pulled her quill off the page, Rosalie read over her words. She felt a tear rolling down her cheek. It fell off her cheek, and splashed onto the grin ink, creating a smudge.

She was going to miss this place more than anyone would ever know. Never would she find somewhere the felt so safe, so inviting, so....home.

Alie dropped the ink and quill in her bag, then turned and walked off, sniffling.

AJ had known it was coming since she first set eyes on the pages of the book all those years ago, watching the 7th years at the time sign it and walk away sadly, but never really thought those emotions could come simply from pages of a book, messages on paper.

She smiled, remembering the other people who have signed on the pages before her, and wiped away a tear she tried not to admit was there, and began to write.

Quote:
Slytherin. My house, my home, my life, my soul, everything that I am has come from being true to my house, my friends who have become my family. Slytherin is not about being the 'bad, dark wizard' that so many think, it is those very students in my own house who make me sick and I shall try to forget. Becoming prefect in my 4th year has only made me more mature and confident in myself. It made me realize who my true friends were, and how many students in this school tried so hard to live up to their own vision of their true house name, when it was there in front of them the entire time. I will always remember the students who are true to the Slytherin name: cunning, clever, abitious, and not afraid to stand up for what they want and believe.

Hogwarts has been my home for the past 7 years when I don't truely have one, I've gained a few sisters over the years, lost some of them, and created some life-altering friends. Treasure your years, young ones, for even though 7 years in a school seems like forever, the time will fly faster than you could imagine, and pretty soon you'll be up here signing this book, wishing you could stay forever.

It seems like just yesterday I was entering the doors for the first time, and now I'm graduating, so much has changed since then, I don't even want to leave. But, alas, all good things come to an end. All in all, I tell you to please, don't be the student you think you have to be to fit the house, be yourself 100%, because you fit your house whether or not you think you do, so please, don't act like someone you aren't, it's only going to repel true friends and attract those who would no sooner befriend you than stab you in the back.

And Slytherins: I am proud to say I graduated in the year we won the House Cup, first time in all my years here, and that I contributed to the Cup. Please, don't be the Slytherin you think you have to be, be yourself and be a true Slytherin, work hard and gain points, this House Cup glory can be yours once again. Never be afraid of who you are, be proud, for the people who shun that you don't deserve to be your friend.

Forever Slytherin, Loyal and Proud,
4 Years of Prefecting Slytherin,
Aricca Jade "AJ" Silverstone
AJ put down the quill, hoping with all her might that she got some point across to her future students, and realized she had just written her full name on a piece of paper for the first time in all her schooling years. She smiled at her entry, and let the tears finally slide down her cheeks, no longer afraid to show emotion either, and noticed Rosalie was right above her, her first and longest, probably her best, friend since Phoebe left. She and Phoebe, wherever she was, were the ones AJ would remember until the day she died.

She turned to leave, not even bothering wiping the shine of the tears off her cheeks, and smiled.

Constant Vigilance! O_O AWAKE!

Josey turned to the first blank page in the book and hesitated with her quill in the air. She had never been good at giving advice. Taking a deep breath, Josey reviewed her favorite Hogwarts memories. She finally put quill to parchment. It was now or never, and Josey preferred to have more than memories that told everyone she had been at Hogwarts, and been a Ravenclaw.

Quote:
To the Ravenclaws:
Ravenclaw is my home. It is your home. Remember who you are, as Ravenclaw students.
You can win. We may not have won the Quidditch cup this term, but we certainly came along. Next term, I know you’ll be the best team we’ve been in years, and you’ll take that Quidditch Cup.
The House Cup. We totally deserve it. Are we not Ravenclaws, the smart ones? Why, then, can we not earn more house points simply by answering questions in class? House points from classes, Quidditch, and homework should be ours. Make that your goal, but don’t forget that you are allowed to befriend students from other houses. Just don’t help them with their homework.
To the School:
You are sorted into four houses: Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. You were divided because you are different, but don’t opposites attract? Reach out across those borders, be friends with people from other houses. And don’t forget that you need your differences. Only together can Hogwarts students reach their full potential, because what one house lacks, the others supply. Don’t forget that.
Treasure each moment of your own years here. You will likely leave before you are ready. I know that I did. Then again, I don’t think I ever would have been ready to leave.

Yours,
Josephina Anne Wenride

Proud Ravenclaw Seventh Year
Josey lifted her quill and eyed the words she had written. She grinned: finally, her flowery handwriting was somewhere that it would be seen. If only this was not the end of her stay at Hogwarts. Struggling to hold her face expressionless, Josey turned from the memory book and walked away.

Don't let the obstacles of life get in the way of whatever path you opt to choose. You can be whatever you want to. It doesn't matter if other people don't believe in you, as long as you have strength and confidence and as long as you believe in you.

As you read my message, I want you to close your eyes. (Not now, finish reading this first!) I want you to imagine the face of the person who has done everything for you and who you have loved as long as you knew them. Think about how you feel when you realize all they have done for you, every little thing they have strived to accomplish to make you happy. It's a good feeling. Now I want you to try to make someone else feel the same way. Close your eyes and do that now. There is too much evil in this world at the moment.

I have enjoyed my years here. I will be very sorry to have to let go of all this. For the last seven years, Hogwarts has been the place where I feel at home. I love all you guys, and this goes out especially to Beck, Laylee, and Galen, my best friends here.

Diabolica loped up to the book, taking a deep, shuddering breath before reading others' entries. A slight forlorn smile appearing in place of her solemn expression, she then picked up her quill, dipped it in the inkwell, and placed it to the blank parchment. She began writing instinctively, her thoughts merely flowing from her mind to the quill nib and onto the paper.

Quote:
My Dearest Fellow Hogwarts Students;

Seven long terms have passed through my life at Hogwarts. Through these years, I have found that Hogwarts is my truest home. Home, I have found, is where you are warmly welcome, where you find your true friends who help you along your path to your life, where you learn from your mistakes... where your heart belongs. Words cannot describe how many amazing, special people I have found in my years at Hogwarts, and my best wishes and blessings go out to them all--for those people who are reading this, you know who you are. So much of me is made of what I learned from my fellow students at Hogwarts and experiences through the terms I have stayed and studied here. They shall remain in my memory for eternity, all lessons from the years passed my way like a handprint on my very heart.

It is difficult to word the emotions that have collected in my mind over the years. To all of Hogwarts, remember; in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of hope. Good can come from bad. Do not curse the Darkness; light a candle. When in doubt, never abandon your friends... someday you shall regret doing so. True friends assist you greatly on the way to your destiny, and vice versa. With that in mind, for those who have prejudiced feelings against members of other houses, I ask you to take heed--while supporting your house is a fantastic thing, it is wise not to have a great amount of house favourtisim. If keeping your friends restricted to only be in your house, you will have a great deal less friends, and miss out on many an opportunity... personally, though I am a true Slytherin at heart, some of my closest friends reside in other houses, including Hufflepuff. To all houses, though specifically my fellow Slytherin students; take pride in your house. Even if you regret your resulting house when first sorted, there is a reason you were sorted into said house--you must only search for the answer inside of your heart. Many believe that is one's goal in life: to discover who you truly are. House unity shall take you far in your years at Hogwarts. Please...do not forget that. Follow your heart's desire in your path to finding peaceful bliss in life.

I must admit; I am very proud of Slytherin this term. Not only did they win the house cup, but also the Quidditch Cup and the Gobstones Championships. This was a result of many a hard-working student, and I applaude my house for that. I also would like to send my thanks to all the staff members on Hogwarts' school boards, whom without many wonderful lessons and memories would have gone nonexistant.

Finally, I would like to write to Professor Blaylock and her children's memories, as they tragically passed away this term. I pray to the Heavens above their souls shall rest in eternal peace, going unharmed from any attempt to wound their spirits. Hogwarts must hold strong in this time of mourning, for conflict between each other shall only cause more grief and pain.

As the famed Enjorlas of Victor Hugo's 'Les Miserables' said, and I quote; 'the colours of the world are changing day by day'...my advice to you, dear reader, is to try tirelessly every day to paint the world as you see it.

Sincerely,

Diabolica Black
Proud Seventh Year Slytherin Student
She read back over it and gave a slight nod, content with her work, and turned to leave, closing her eyes for a slight moment bracingly before walking towards the house table.

Valencia walked slowly up to the old memory book, attempting to choke back tears as she took the quill into her shaking left hand. What in the world could she say about such a sad event? She wiped a few stray tears off her face and touched the quill to the book.

Quote:
My fellow Hogwarts students,

So many things have happened to me in these halls over the seven years I have been here and I want to thank a few special people for that.

First of all, I would like to thank Samantha Edwards. Sammy, you have been an amazing friend to me and you always know how to keep me smiling. I'm so happy I can call you family now and I know we'll always see each other, even if it may not be at school.

Alexis Chosen. That's pretty much all I need to say. Lex, you have also been an amazing friend and you know exactly how to keep me on my toes. Even though we weren't able to spend much time together this year, you have always been in my thoughts and I can't even tell you how happy I am that you are safe and sound. Have fun with Dusty!

My dearest Eric Dunn. I will miss you terribly. I will write to you as much as possible while on my job hunt in the real world. I'm so glad we had the chance to meet and become great friends and even develop some romantic feelings towards each other. You will always be in my thoughts and I hope to see you much more after you graduate as well.

Finally, last but definitely not least, Savannah Mae. From the moment I met you I knew we would become best friends. Who knew that our families actually had a history even before we met. In some ways I feel like it was fate that brought us together. Now I'm proud to call you my sister and I couldn't want anything more. Take care of my Dusty and make sure Lex doesn't poison his mind!

To the rest of the students who have crossed my path over the years, I want to thank you. I wouldn't be the same person I am without all of the experiences I shared with you.

To my fellow Gryffindors, keep up the good work! I am honored to have been one of the many Gryffindors who have walked these halls and all I hope is that the new Gryffindors and old will continue the legacy we have all left behind. Good luck on the house cup and Quidditch!

To the new first years, follow your heart and remember to do your house proud. Get involved with all of the different activities in school, but mostly have fun. Hogwarts will be a scary place when you get here, but you will instantly feel at home when you sit at your house table for the very first time.

Sincerely,

Valencia E. Phoenix
Vee nodded and placed the quill back down quietly, knowing that was all she needed to say. The seventh year sniffed one last time then walked silently out of the room.

Marco watched several fellow seventh years fill in some book. He followed suit. Maybe he could leave some memories behind. He pulled out his quill and turned to a clean page. He couldn't believe he was writing in the same book as Jacques and Kay.

Quote:
To future students,

I have learnt in my 7 years at Hogwarts, well not alot but a bit, NEVER fall in love with a Professor. It usually gets you in detention, and have the Professor's husband attempt to kill you. Brings some thrill to your life though.

Also, to future Quidditch players, keep trying, you will always succeed...eventually. Do our house proud. Or I will have to hunt you down and hit you with my broomstick.

He couldn't really think of anything else to say. So he signed his name and walked away.

Tancred took the first opportunity he could get to write down in the Seventh Year Memory Book for the first and last time ever. He didn't exactly know what to write to the future students of Hogwarts (or whatever they decided to do with the schools) but he was going to write down whatever he was thinking of anyway. He had been waiting for years to actually writing in the book, and until now he remembered not even thinking of planning ahead for jotting down exactly what he should say. He sighed, clearing his find a little bit, and picked up a quill and wrote:

Quote:
Dear Hogwarts students and friends,

Over the seven years of my magical education, I have learned that you should prize each and every day you live through – the good and the bad. No matter what, you’re going to have those days were you wished you could change time with a Time Turner and then you’ll have days were you wished you have a pensieve available just for you right on the spot. No matter what, remember to keep on moving through your life because one day you will remember those good and bad times and be able to use that later in life for advice and much more. Keep your close friends and many new ones you will meet down the road – even if they are just that Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin guy or gal that may seem beyond ordinary too you – close to you, because they are the best things that life could offer you. Trust me; they really are.

I have had many friends over my years at Hogwarts, and I would like to thank each and every one of them for the terrific times I’ve had with you all. Even when the hardest of times had came for me; my friends were always there for me. Starting my magical education as the ‘little’ guy is and always will be a great memory for me. Ever since the Sorting Hat had shouted Hufflepuff, I knew that friends would not be very hard to make. Being in Hufflepuff helped me greatly, and I am honoured to have been a member of that House. Even though I was a Hufflepuff student, I still had my families’ Ravenclaw smarts in me, so I quickly found that members of the Ravenclaw house were always friendly with me. In addition, the same goes for the Gryffindors. Ever since I showed the lion side of me, I have gained many Gryffindor friends. Some of them were closer to me than a few of my fellow Hufflepuff housemates. To top it off, the Slytherin House was a bit of a challenge for some. Nevertheless, I made friends from that House just as well as any of the other three Houses, but not as many as I hoped I would. The point I’m trying to make here is that you should make friends with anyone – no matter what House they are or were in. It will, I assure you, make your life an easier one being surrounded with the loving family-like comfort of your friends.

Now onto my remaining Hufflepuff friends and future Hufflepuffs. I would like to thank you returning Hufflepuffs for the great years of my magical education. Period. You guys are the ones that kept me going, especially when I was sadly away from Hogwarts and attending Durmstrang for a whole term. You guys were so welcoming and friendly only like you had just seen me a day or so ago when I returned. Thank you. You guys are honestly the people that I will always remember. Remember to always show your true colours and remember to just be yourself. Keep up that Hufflepuff pride I know that you all have; don’t be afraid to show it either. To new Hufflepuffs, I hope that you will enjoy your stay in Hufflepuff House. Honestly, I find Hufflepuff to be the best House for any new student to be a member of. I promise that if you are nervous and are looking for a friend to make faster than you can say ‘Quidditch,’ stick to your fellow housemates because they will all welcome you right away – there’s nothing with the other Houses either, but it is usually easier to make friends starting with the House you belong in seeming you will be spending the next seven years with them.

Speaking of Quidditch, I hope that the next Quidditch Captain that is made for next term reads this. I really hope he or she does. The Hufflepuff Quidditch team is a stable team that is strong, tough. We have made it as the Runner Up this term with the help of past captain, Amelia Mae Rose, who happens to be the one and only girl that I’m crazy about. She was a brilliant captain and a true team leader for us Hufflepuffs that were on the team and, of course, neither on the House team nor in the House of Hufflepuff. I am sure that you will be just as qualified as she – as any past captain – was and I’m asking you to take the team to a whole new, different level. Make our team your team. I am hoping that you, as the team’s new leader, will take things up a notch and bring home a Hufflepuff victory – the Quidditch Cup. It has been a few terms since the House team has brought a victory, but I am sure that you and future captains will try your best to do so. Remember to never give up and always keep your chin up and your spirits high. You can do anything if you set your mind to it and remember to keep a positive attitude at all costs. I hope that there will be a Hufflepuff victory this coming term and for many more terms to come. Good luck!

Now I am back to talking to you all again, in a way. Remember that your years of your magical education will be ones filled with learning from the best of people, an incredible journey that you would wish never ended, and a time to show who you really are to the world by just being yourself; no one could ask for more or less of you. Remember that you just might be going through the very same every-day life situations we have had and went though. You are not alone. Trust your friends with all your heart and enjoy what you have in life, both through the good and bad times. Learn from your mistakes and keep your chin up. Your life, as you’ve probably heard, is like a Muggle roller coaster that has its ups and downs. This may be so for many of you, but do not worry – you’re friends will always be there for you no matter what.

I suppose that I should stop writing now – I see that I have written quite a bit. Remember what I have said and never let it go. I seriously wish that I could award any of you a hundred House points for actually reading all of this. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, my friends, and welcome to the beginning of a big part of your life, future students.

Best of luck to you all,

Tancred Lysander Adara
Hufflepuff

P.S. The dormitory rooms seem to get a bit chilly in the winter, my dear Hufflepuffs. I suggest turning the heat up to make sure that your fingers or toes don't freeze off. Especially you Quidditch team members! It is good that you will be used to the cold winter for the match that takes place out there in the snowy weather, but we all don't want fingerless or toeless players out there.
After reading through what he had written, he jotted down his signature. Hmm ... It needs a bit more? Don't you think, Adara? He smiled and jotted down a little bit more in his entry – this time to the future Hufflepuffs. He smiled and set down the quill. It was one hundred percent perfect! He closed the book and and walked away, now finally ready to move on with the rest of his life....

Cora could hardly believe that this was it. Everything was ending today, right now. Forever. It was hard to think what to write after seven years of schooling, but finally, she picked up her quill and began to write. She scanned over previous people's comments; most of which were very long and full of advice. Hmm. Interesting.

Stay beautiful because you were made that way.
Stay smiling because it confuses people.
And stay together because if we don't have each other, who do we have?

With a small smile playing around her lips, Cora laughed, and walked away. For the last time.

Rhiannon took a short break from the feast to walk up to the memory book. Flipping through the pages, she read the few entries from people she remembered from last term, and then scanned the ones from this term. Smiling, she finally picked up the quill. She may not have had seven years at Hogwarts to reflect on, but that didn't mean she couldn't come up with anything to write.

Quote:
To any future students, staff, or anyone else who may read this,

I may not have been able to be at Hogwarts for seven terms. Or even technically two, seeing as this term proved to be a difficult one that at least attempted to keep us from Hogwarts as it should be. But I am and was here, and can therefore tell you what I learned. And I even managed to become a prefect for this one last year, as well as help lead Ravenclaw to a victory in the Quidditch Cup which hadn't happened in years.

Stick together. Not just in your own house. I mean, get to know people from your house, but also get to know people from the other houses. The first friends I ever made here happened to not be Ravenclaws, but Hufflepuffs and even Slytherins. And by the end of this term, I feel like it's extremely important to not judge people by House stereotypes. If I had listened to what people may have said about the other houses, I wouldn't have found friendship and even love.

People may try to argue that separation is necessary for education. But it's just as easy to learn in an environment where you can see anyone and everyone you want. In most cases, it's even easier, since you don't have to worry about fighting against those you see as oppressing you.

This last term certainly was interesting. I both found responsibility, as well as the ability to find out just how far rules can be bent to get what you want. But rules, while they can be bent, should never be outright broken. There's my little prefectly duty being fulfilled. And wait until you are older before you try things. It's much easier to apparate away for a weekend when you legally can, especially when the people you are trying to escape happen to be involved with the Ministry.

Before I came here, I felt like people wouldn't ever want to get to know me. I had some serious issues with shyness and personal issues. But several people showed me that I was worth something. I was a person who had a place in this world. I don't know if I would have really learned that if I hadn't come.

To everyone who I met in my two terms at Hogwarts, I hope we can stay in touch. And you better realize that I'm not letting you go completely, Josh, no matter how much you want to protect me. I love you too much, and you're part of me. To Mia, Rapunzel, Willow, Juniper, Ryan, Daphne, Jezz, Twone, Hermy, Jonathan, Kai, Melly, Gwen, Shel, and everyone: You helped me be a better person. Know that. And we should keep in contact. Kai, good job in not getting anywhere near getting attacked by Josh. He kinda has a bit of a complex toward keepers and me. Mia, I know you're leaving to go off and do big things now, like I wish I could say I was, but you should know that you were quite possibly my first friend. Even though we didn't talk much this term, you still have that distinction.

As I leave, a few last words. Treasure Hogwarts, and your time here. You never know when someone could try to take it from you. Hogwarts as a whole supercedes the houses. So make friends where you can. And go Ravenclaw Quidditch!

Love,
Rhiannon Elizabeth Todd
Ravenclaw prefect and chaser from the 2064-65 and 2065-66 Quidditch teams
aka Rhian, Rhi, Annon, Rhia . . . and Josh's Confundus Queen
As she finished writing, she quickly sketched the Hogwarts crest on the bottom of the page, then went back to join everyone at the tables for the end-of-term feast.

Hope is the only thing stronger than fear.

Heather walked up to the bok. She looked at the pages before then smiled to herself. It was her last year and she was moving up in the world. She pulle dout her specail quill and began to write:

Quote:
To the future students and professors,
I have enjoyed the past seven years hear so much and learned a lot in the halls and classes. Loving every teacher all the same and every friend I made like family. The most I've ever learned is that house unity is important. Though when it comes down to Quidditch(which I'm sad to say I didn't do every year) it really doesn't matter. Just keep up the high spirits even if you lose.

As for all the friends I've made the younger and old, thank you so much for putting up with my mellow dramatic attitude. I didn't really didn't mean to make you suffer with me but I'm glad you were here to support me through all my desicions good and bad. Thank you to the Professors for teaching me all I need to know. Before I finish this off, just remember Hogwarts is your home and don't let anyone or anything break down the bonds you make.

I'll miss this school.
Love much,
Heather Malfoy
Chaser, Beater, and Keeper from second to sixth year.
And proud Gryffindor.
Heather signed it and put the quill away smiling at the diffrent colors. She wiped the tear that slid down her cheek and turned to head to the feast. She looked back once again hoping the wisdom would help.

Cassandra walked up to the book. She'd seriously considered not signing it. Not writing anything in it. She didn't want to say goodbye to her home... this was... so final. She took her quill in hand and began writing.

When I was told that limitations can only be set by oneself, I chose to be limitless. Slytherin, Be Cunning, Be Brave, Be Smart, Be Hardworking... you are all those and more. That is why we will always be on top!

Forever Your Prefect,
Cassandra Trelawney.

There... not a farewell... never a farewell...

Emily stepped up to the book. A quill and a pot of ink... How wizardish. Picking the quill up and dipping it slightly, she sighed and begun writing.

Quote:
Dear Hogwarts, Professors and Inhabitants all put together and all that,

Hogwarts was an interesting experience for me. Being brought up in America, I didn't understand everyone, what with people saying 'biscuits' and spelling their words with extra 'u's in them but it was a good experience, indeed.

A piece of advice... Hmm, let me think. Well, one thing is to NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER PRETEND TO BE FRIENDLY TO MINISTRY TEACHERS. Enough said.

Oh, and for all you palm-readers out there, don't be afraid to ask people if you can read their palms! They might give you weird looks but most likely, they'll accept.

And if anyone, ANYONE tells you your pet is gross (even if it is seriously fat, demented and will eat anything), ignore them. It's your pet and if you love it with all your heart, that's all that matters.

Emily Cicierega, 7th year Ravenclaw
Palm Reader
Emily set down the quill and sighed, taking another look at it. There wasn't much else she could add. Shoulders slumped, she sighed again and retreated to the tables.

Amelia watched as several seventh years took turns at walking up to the memory book. For years, she had been longing for this moment to sign this book and write her own memories; now that the day was here, she wished it wasn't. Flipping through the pages, she read entries from past students with names she remembered. Slytherins such as Marco and AJ rang familiar bells; but it was her turn now. And she never once imagined the difficulty that could really come from words... memories.

The Hufflepuff Captain quickly wiped away the tears forming in her eyes and began to write.

Quote:
Dearest Hogwart Students,

Ever since first setting eyes on this book, I've longed for that moment to finally write in the book myself. But what I never imagined it would be so challenging.

Your days at Hogwarts are truly numbered. Do not ever take any day for granted; there will be good days and bad days. Treasure each day that you are here. Time flies and before you realize it, you will be up here signing this book, wishing it wasn't over.

Hogwarts is a time for finding more about yourself than you ever knew. It is a time of sadness and joy and love and friendship. Friends are perhaps the most blessed memory you could make here; make friends with not just your own house but others as well. And the Professors too - they aren't meant to intimidate, but want to help you.

Serving as Hufflepuff Prefect in my Fifth and Sixth years made me strong and confident, but not as much as my friends have. However, I shall never forget the memories that I had as Prefect. For all future Prefects: continue to work hard, learn, and never ever stop trying! There is always room for improvement and you truly never know whose life you have touched.

And then Quidditch Captain in my seventh year; this gave me a whole new set of responsibilities to live by. Running a quidditch team takes hardwork and determination; not a position for the faint-hearted. No matter what happens in the matches, keep trying and never give up. Quidditch is just like any sport; the more you practice, the better you will be... My words of advice to the future Hufflepuff Captain: Practice. Practice like it is your last game ever.

As for my Hufflepuffs; do not ever let anyone make you feel inferior or say you are the "lesser" house. In my time here, I have seen Hufflepuff win both the house and quidditch cups, but lose both as well. However, through it all I have never ever stopped trying. Hufflepuffs are meant to be hardworking, loyal, and friendly people. Never let lose sight of who you are, no matter what. If for no other reason - do it for your house.

Do not ever let anyone take away what you believe in! And if you believe in something: fight for it!

Best wishes and lots of love to everyone,

Amelia Mae Rose
Prefect 2063-64 and 2064-65
Quidditch Captain 2065-66
Forever Hufflepuff

P.S. Always remember to dance like no one is watching and to sing like no one can hear you!

As Amelia finished writing, she put down the quill and reread her message. Meaningful and from the heart. Looking back onto the previous page, she smiled at the sight of familiar writing taking the spot of the first seventh year's memory this term. Tancred - her one love. Taking a deep breath of fresh air, she swallowed and let the tears slide down her cheeks, not bothering to withhold them.

Walking away from the memory book, the tears continued to fall from her eyes, as she paced slowly back to the tables.

He didn't intend to walk up and actually write int he book. Kingston merely wanted to glance at what his past classmates have written. Once he had the book in his hands, he looked down, his brow raised skeptically. What all of these people have written were made of lies. Lies, lies, lies! Oh please, like they have ment these words;

Quote:
You guys are my family and Hogwarts is my home. Never regret or forget what happens here. It will mean something someday.
Snort. Family? Home? Come now, this was over exaggerated. No one would consider this place home. Turning a few pages back, he stared as the handwriting of Nabiya MacPherson stared back at him. He choked on his laughter as his eyes scanned what she had written;

Quote:
My time here has been incomparable, I've had my share of ups and downs and I know that I will treasure each memory for as long as I continue to live. And I ask you all this: Cherish your time here and always try to look at the positive side of things.
Right. Right. Cherish your time. How dull. Kingston looked through a few more pages:

Quote:
Thank you for the brilliant food
Oh my, whoever this person was thought with their stomach.

Quote:
1) Don't ever kiss a Professor. Ever, ever, ever.
...

How revolting.
Quote:
Amelia Mae Rose, who happens to be the one and only girl that I’m crazy about.
Now he was really laughing. That old hag? He was crazy about her? Oh this is priceless! Kingston laughed till his eyes teared up. Wiping away the tears that would be thought of as tears of sadness if anyone had seen him, Kingston straightened himself up and read some more. He laughed, furrowed brows, yawned in boredom at some of them. These were all dull to him. And now, he seemed quite interested to write one himself.

Holding the quill he had presumed was been used by many students before him, Kingston began to write, a smile slowly crawling up his lips.

For all that blabber talk I had read, some may sound glorious enough to be real. One thing is real, though. You never feel how the years have passed (which is good in my opinion). To me, it was a blink to the eye and here I am, standing in front of this silly book, writing about how I feel about leaving this place.

In all honesty, I've had my share of fun times and quite horrible ones. Horrible ones that oddly evolved into delightful moments. Although, I'll be frank, those delightful moments were not a lot.

I've never felt proud in Hufflepuff. I've never felt proud to be a student in Hogwarts. I've never felt anything the people before me have written, but I did feel one thing and I rather keep it to myself. All I can tell you is expect the unexpected, for the unexpected will blow you away even if you had pinned yourself to the ground with hard needles.

Oh. And another note: Professor Anjelica Lainey is the craziest, most irresponsible, devious, chaotic, barbaric and the most irritating professor I have ever met in my schooling years! She has made my blood boil more than once!

And I will never forget her.

That does not mean I love her. If you're reading this Lainey (Yes, I am not a student anymore so I will call you in whichever way I please!) you don't deserve to be called a professor for all you did! You have no teaching method and I do say your students are probably failing your class. And I will never forgive you for dressing me up as cupid! Never! Do you hear me?! (Well, read.) Never!

I'm really not good with goodbyes as I have never said goodbye to anyone. All I have ever said was hello and good riddance and never goodbye. It wouldn't hurt to start now, right?

So, Goodbye Hogwarts. I am delighted to be leaving you.

Kingston Samuel Wendleworth III
Seventh Year Hufflepuff.

The REAL Sorting Hat: "Ravenclaw!" This monkey is bananas.

Ariana stepped up to the book, her eyes searching for something that couldn't possibly be there. it had to be a dram; no way had seven years had past. It couldn't be true, yet here she was, an adult witch standing on the pedestal of her life. She closed her eyes and pictured her father standing here long ago, writing words that she couldn't see. She smiled, and wondered where to begin.

Quote:
To my friends, family and fellow Ravenclaws,

Wow, here I am standing in front of this ancient book and I have no idea where to start. I could go on and on about fighting for what you believe in, staying true to yourself etc etc but I won't. Instead I want to share my memories with you, future writers and students alike.

First of all I would like to extend a warm hug to all professors of Hogwarts, past and present. If it wasn't for you, I never would have gotten this far in my education. I may not be the brightest Ravenclaw, but I do know you all have a huge heart and care about all students that pass your halls. Remember that you are all special, each in your own right. Each one of you have taught me something I'll never forget. Madame Kohan especially, thank you for being my friend. Without you I never would have survived my last two years here without your guidance and compassion. I hope if I have given you anything, it's a long lasting friendship.

Remember the good times, the times when we all got together and had a massive snowball fight in the grounds, camped around a campfire chatting it up for hours and of course the lessons where we each got to know one another a bit better. You are all strong people, never forget that. For those who were there, remember me as a big yellow bird, trying to figure out how to properly use utensils. Remember me for me, not what I am. And please, please, please remember me biting a student when I was transformed into an Eagle.

I have the ability to feel others emotions, which had been massively horrible at some points, yet truly remarkable at others. I have made some strong friendships that I know will last forever. Don't be afraid of those who are different. We're not different, we're strong independent witches/wizards who conquer hardships. So, the next time you find out a fellow student has an ability, don't run from them. Befriend them help them through it, be there for them when they need a comforting shoulder.

Savannah Mae - Girl you rock hardcore. Since the first day I met you I knew we'd be best of friends. Thanks for helping me, comforting me. being there for me.

I would like to make personal messages to all those who have touched my heart, but it would take too long to write and I'm already tearing up. So I'll end this and say,

"Never give up on a dream."

Yours forever,
Ariana Sibliean Castior
Seventh Year Ravenclaw.
With her page written, Ari tried not to break down, finding it very hard to stop a tear from falling onto her cheek. Wiping it, she sighed, put down the quill and walked away.

The infamous 7th year memory book. Every Avalon that Tobi knew of had written in it, so it was his turn too.

Time to carry on a Tradition he thought with his quill in hand.

Quote:
Dear Fellow Students,

I’m by no means the man with the words, but I think I would get in a lot of trouble if I left a crème brulé in the Memory Book, so I can’t use food to express myself this time.

I have had seven incredible terms with you. Some of you have become my best mates and some of you drive me up the wall, and some of you fall a little bit into both categories. But all of you have made my life so much more interesting than if I had just ignored my letter and stayed in my kitchen. I was sorely tempted, I’ll tell you. The idea of coming here and possibly making things explode, or facing off with fanged geraniums, and nifflers! I get the shakes just thinking about it.

I’m going to miss SO many of you SO much. It’s crazy I didn’t think I would get this nostalgic because I’m excited about going on with my life, but school has been a HUGE part of my life for so long, I don’t know what I’m going to do come September first.

So, Gryffindors, do me a favour and kick some butt. Willow, it was an honour. Paris Ashton Hill, do your thing and do it well. Cela, TRY and stay out of trouble. Kayla, take care of yourself, and Kettleburn, and Morgan? For Merlin’s sake, don’t do anything that’s going to force Nicholai to come back here and kill you. I'll miss you guys.

Tobias Benjamin Avalon
7th Year Gryffindor, 2068
Okay, so he wasn't as eloquent as he might have liked, but he thought he had sort of expressed his sentiments.

Savannah, on those few visits to Professor Rae's old office, had looked through the seventh year's memory book whenever she went. With permission, of course. But it was so much different now, she had known this day would come - when it would be her turn to write in it, Vannah didn't expect it to feel so soon.

Sucking in a deep breath as if to clear her thoughts, or maybe summon them, a hesitant hand reached out to press the quill in her hand to parchment.
Quote:
Where to begin? There's so much I'd like to say, and so little time to write it in. I started school here at Hogwarts in my first year, and here I stand before this ancient, glorious book in my seventh year; tomorrow we aboard the Hogwarts Express, and for my fellow seventh years and I, it's our last train ride home. I can't talk for others, but for me this is a very bittersweet moment. I've come a long way from the silly, naive little girl I was when I began my education within these castle walls and now I'm about to enjoy my final fair-well feast as a matured, young lady.

I'm sad that my journey here has ended, but I'm not scared for what comes next. I'm honoured to have been taught by some of the most amazing people in our world, the many professors and staff (I don't want to leave out Madame Kohan, Nurse Numel, Mister Masterson or any of the others because they have been just as kind and helpful to us students.) to have walked these corridors throughout my seven years attending this magnificent school. I know the past and present Professors alike have done all that they possibly could have to prepare us for this day, and trust me when I say the thought of graduating has haunted me this entire term long, but I know I'm ready to face the real world.

During my stay here in this beloved old school, I was lucky enough to meet some of the most amazing people, from peers to professors, I'll never forget a single one of you; You've all helped me grow in one way or another, and I couldn't be more greatful to have had the chance to know each and every one of you.

When I was sorted into Hufflepuff, I'll be honest, I had no idea what it meant to be a Hufflepuff. I knew what the Gryffindors, and Slytherins and Ravenclaws were well known for, but not Hufflepuff. That was abit frightening, not only was I a tiny little kid compared to some of the older intimidating-looking students but I was going into this with a blank mind. My reason of being afraid was very silly indeed, I realized this almost immediately. You could say, several older students swept me under their wings. Sana Jackson: She was a great friend, a true badger; She also loved teasing me until my face turn a lovely shade of pink, I found out later on. I also learned from her that it doesn't make you any less loyal to cheer on your house Quidditch team and your best friends house team, especially if your friends playing. MJ Sohma, Taylor Bennet and Rebecca Dumbledore: I met these three girls, as a group, the night I arrived in first year; when our house Prefect showed us to the common room, that's when I met them and ever since they had become such a gift to me. They welcomed me warmly and were always there for me if I needed them, no matter how silly the situation was. Ariana Castior, Molly Woodrow and Amelia Rose were three other students, only slightly older than I, that I can't even begin to go into detail on.

Needless to say, I know understand what it means to be a Hufflepuff. But I also figured out something even greater; It doesn't matter what house you've been sorted into. That doesn't mean Ravenclaws can't be loyal, and Hufflepuffs can't be brave and Slytherins can't be smart. I believe everyone has a little bit of each trait in them, it simply means that those particular traits shown brighter than the others.

To my Hufflepuffs present and future, I wish you all the very best of luck! Never let anyone make you think badly of yourself or the house you come from; as Amelia Rose pointed out a few pages back, we're not the 'lesser' house. No matter what is said, we're all equals here in Hogwarts. We're all special, and smart, and brave and we're all capable of doing whatever we set our minds to. Remember to work hard for what you want, be loyal to your friends, and no matter what the circumstances are never ever give up on what you believe in.

Because I know these students will eventually come across this book as well, I have something to say to a few people. To my cousin Sammy (Edwards), Good luck next term. That's all I can say. Sarah Corner, I wish you the best of luck too. I know you girls are going to make Gryffindor proud, you've already made me proud to call you one of my best friends. I'm going to miss those bright and bouncy moods you would get into, they were contagious; how anyone could ever be sad around you I'll never know. Never ever change, Sarah. You're a brilliant girl, with a brilliant mind. Don't ever let anyone make you doubt that.

William Cullack; Ah, little Will. You're such a sweet boy, I'm really am sorry I wasn't able to spend more time with you during your first year. I know I don't even need to tell you to, you'll make your cousin Ari and I proud. I'll keep in touch, and I know you'll have fun next term and the ones to follow. You're a bright little Ravenclaw, never forget that.
Kaika Lockhart; You know, I still remember you as a first year. It's weird to think it wasn't that long ago, either. And now your not that far behind us. It's a relief to know that you will be here with the younger Hufflepuffs for a few more years, they'll need that true older Hufflepuff figure to look up to and learn from; you're just the girl for that job. I know you'll continue to make us proud, Kai. Know that even with Mia, Punz, Curt and I gone from school we are still cheering you guys on the entire way. Lead the badgers to victory, or fight hard trying, but no matter the outcome never lose your faith. I know you guys will work hard, play fair and be there for one another. That's what truly matters as far as I'm concerned.

Emalyn Daniels & Miranda BelCanto; You two girls are precious, you really are. I've enjoyed getting to know both of you, and it's disappointing to have to leave now but I know you'll both grow up to do amazing things one day. As I think about it more, in less than three years or so you two will be amongst the last few of the Hufflepuff's that were around this term. I can already imagine the little first years to come looking up to you as role-models; and I know that'll be a really good thing. Continue to make our house proud, girls. Be true to yourself, and be true to Hufflepuff.

And a very special thank you to Professor Shackleton, our Hufflepuff Head of House. I can't find words to describe how greatful I am to have been one of your many students, and to have met you. You are truly something, and sometimes I honestly don't know how you could put up with us at times, but you rarely ever got upset - only over the major stuff; All of the Professors encourage and teach us, but the badgers wouldn't be the family it is now without you as our den mother. (Hufflepuff students, we're really lucky to have her! So don't go giving her a hard time, be good!) I wish you the best of luck in life, Professor. Thank you.

If I had to give one more piece of advice for the future students to roam these halls, it would be the advice I was given on several occasions but never fully understood until this year; Cherish every moment you have here, because before you know it, you'll be standing before this same book wondering where the time went.

Make tons of friends with all students, don't cause the Professors too much stress no matter how funny it may seem to make their hair turn grey, study hard, and most importantly have fun.

Always and Forever,
Savannah N. Mae
Prefect 2065-66 and 2066-67
Seventh year Hufflepuff
As she signed her name, Savannah's feet shuffled unconsciously. The girl was trying hard to ignore the tears now stinging in her ocean blue eyes, but it was nearly impossible. This had made it feel more offical. Hogwarts Express would be there in the morning to take them home, by tomorrow she would be a graduated student like so many others that had signed this book.

Without so much as another look at the book, Savannah turned quickly to go back to her friends at the feast before the tears had a chance to spill over and she did start crying.

Alexis had put it off long enough. But she couldn’t anymore. It was time to write in the oh so famous memory book. Slowly walking toward the book the seventh year began to fidget with her fingers. She reached the table she pulled her quill out of her pocket. What to do now!??!? She couldn’t write essays like seventh years before her had done. There was only one thing to do. Write whatever came into her mind. Sighing the Gryffindor began to write.

Quote:

Dear Hiiii to whoever is reading this,

The words “dear, and fellow students or staff” are used way to much in this book for my taste, therefore I will break this old boring way of saying….‘I’m going to start my writing now so you should read’.

Now, I am not the type of person who can just write and write fifty million pages. It’s just not possible for me. However there are surprisingly a lot of things I would like to say. And that first thing is that Hogwarts has been more than a school to me. It has been a home. The friends that I have made here aren’t just my friends. They are my family.

Coming into Hogwarts I was just like any other first year. Scared, nervous, quite, and mostly confused. I knew less about my self than I knew magic. And trust me I did not know magic. Since then however I have grown and learned so much because of the people around me. I have learned to trust people, and I have learned that friendship is one of the best things a person could have. (I also learned how not to act thanks to those ‘professors’ from the ministry). And all of the friends that I have made here have, truly made my life just amazing.

One of the most important things I have learned though is to just be you. Don’t try to change because of what anyone says. You are you for a reason. Just because you’re a Gryffindor doesn’t mean you have to be brave. Just because you’re a Ravenclaw you don’t have to be smart. Just because you’re a Hufflepuff that doesn’t mean you can’t break the rules. And just because you’re a Slytherin doesn’t mean that you have to break those rules. You are your own person and being true to yourself will only make your time here that much better.

Now, no matter what ANYONE tells you don’t, DON’T let them tell you that candy is bad for you. Candy is the center of things good.

And lastly, if you ever, play Quidditch and don’t remember anything else remember this: Never fall asleep when in a game. It's dangerous to your health. Not just because of the Bludgers and Beaters with bats. But because your Captain will probably kill you.

Thank you Kerry, Sam, Chaunte, Marie, Alicia, Agie, RJ, Savannah, Jenny, Curt, Ari, Mia, Cale, Jordan, Punz, Ryan, Fred, Eggshell, Dusty annd whoever else that I can’t remember at the moment but have still been awesome.

Stay Cool, Sammy, Juni, Willow, Paris, Anna, Sarah, Jillian, Winnie and all the teachers that I have had the pleasure of learning from.

Alexyna "Alexis" Faith Chosen
Seventh year Gryffindor,
Roaring proudly always
Captain from 2065-66 to 2067-68

Alexis looked over what she had written once more and then stuffed the quill in her pocket. This was waay too depressing, she couldn't look at it anymore. Without another glance the Gryffindor walked away from the table.

Well, First off, Hogwarts has been more of a home to me these past three years then Durmstrang ever was, and for that, I will miss it terribly.

I am leaving behind many friends and acquaintances, and to them I would like to say, Thank you for being there for me, and I hope you all suceed and have amazing lives. Also, to the Quidditch team, you guys rock, and im sorry I couldnt participate this term. The other two were amazing, and I am glad I know you all!

For all my closest friends, I love you all like crazy, and hope you all will keep in touch.

To Kayla, stay strong, and we will see each other soon enough.

To Evee, never change.

To Camira, you will always have a special place in my heart.

To Penny, you will always be my best friend.

To Lima, Stay crazy! HAHA!

To Cela, even though we have had rough times this term, you can always write to me with any problem you have.

To Anna, Keep on trucking prefect! Hope your last term is wonderful!

To Astrid, though she isnt here anymore, I miss you terribly, and hope to hear from you or see you soon.

To Nico, (even though he will never get to see this..lol), Thank you. 'Nuff said.

To anyone I have forgotten, I'm sorry. Have a great life!

Forever yours,

Lima sighed as she put pen to paper. It was going to be so hard to do this. She was leaving her friends behind. No, they were her family..

Quote:
I want all of you to know that Hogwarts has always been more of a home than anything ever has been. And that you all are my family and I love you so much.

To Mads: You are a great guy. I'm sorry that things weren't always good between us. I hope you have a happy successful life and that we can stay friends. I'm actually going to miss you..

To Whit: You are my best friend. End of discussion.

To Hugie: You are one of the sweetest, most amazing people I have ever known. I will miss you terribly and want you to have the best of everything in life. I dunno how to thank you for everything you have done for me. I love you, Hugie.

To Jakey Wakey: I love you. I always will love you. You might doubt it all you want, but it's true.

To Reeses Pieces: You are one of my best friends. And one of the nicest people I have ever known. You have been with me through good and bad and I'm glad that I know you. Please take extra care of Jake next Term for me. I know you will.

To Vannah: I love you. Thank you for being there for me and keeping me in line. You are like a second mother to me. ha! Seriously though, I really appreciate everything you have done for me.

To Sam: I'm going to miss you when you go back next Term and leave me behind. I love you, for you are one of the feistiest tomboyish girls I've ever known. And above that, you are my family.

To Miles. I dunno what I can say to you.. I'll miss you so so so much. I love you more than words can say. You are my best friend. And you are my Rockstar. Mostly, you are just my Miles. Though I'll share you with Vannie. HAHA jking

To Vannie: One of the best SlytherPuffs ever. Period. Also one of my best friends. I'll miss you more than words can say.

To Ella: My crazy Elephant Girl.. You are... I love you so much.

To Shana: My Prankster. Play some good ones for me next Term. You are an amazing girl, and never forget that you are a true Slytherin. And most of all, a true friend.

To Amanda: You are a truly amazing girl. And a great friend. You have a huge heart and I will never forget all that you have done for me. I'm honored to work with someone like you.

To Dom: You are my annoying younger brother. You are also a great friend and Quidditch player. I will miss you. I won't get all sappy with you cause well... haha But you will never be forgotten.

To Terry: Thank you for being there for me. Thank you for putting a smile on my face whenever I needed it. Thank you for making me feel good about myself. And most of all, thank you for being one of the best friends that I could ever ask for.

To Evee: I'm sorry for all the bad stuff that happened between us. I know how you feel about me, and it's okay. I also know that this wont mean much to you. But I want to tell you that I never meant any of the stuff that happened. And that I am happy that you and Hugo are best friends again.

to Penny: My best friend. My confidant. I love you so much.

To Sarah: I'm so sad that I never got to see you more. You are an amazing girl and my Squishy. I will never ever forget you. I love you, girl.

To Camira: You are a great girl. Never change.

To Cameron: Your Lemur Woman will miss you. Keep being crazy.

To Kiri: You are a great girl. And a good friend. I really enjoyed all of our talks. Feel good about yourself, hun. You can do anything you put your mind to. I also expect to see you in the US this summer. I will not take no for an answer.

And to everyone else I might have missed.. I love you. And I will miss you. So much.
Sighing, she put her pen down and walked away from the book sadly.

Jai walked up to the book and smiled.

Girls, don't fall in love too quickly, there are TONS of guys at Hogwarts and you're young you wont be together forever trust me. Boys don't let your guards down too easily, not all girls are as they seem, your young but that doesnt mean you should flirt around.

I had the best time at Hogwarts and I'll never regret coming here. I've learnt from my years here and I regret nothing. I've had one too many relationships, I've fallen in love about twice and I've learnt that eating candy isn't always that great. Becoming an animal cured me of chocolate. But candy is life so enjoy it anyways.

Slytherins, you can be nice, dont let the name turn you into something your not. Breaking the rules is NOT cool when your loosing house points, remember Slytherins are ambitious and although winning isn't always everything it counts for a whole lot. Older student keep those crazy first years in check.

To the other houses, good year, you beat us fair and square, we've been lazy I'm hoping it'll never happen ever again. Ever. A very memorable Slytherin once said 'Second place is just first place looser.' Keep that as your guide book ladies and gents. (Cassandra Trelawney if you didn't know)

Thank you to all my Professors. I think I've learnt more than I planned to. Thank you for the new robes. Thank you for the patience and praise.

Peace, love and Unity
Jaimine O'Hara Steeyle,
Jai.

Jai closed the book and patted it gently.

curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog

Cale walked up to the memory book, gapping at it with a blank stare before finally picking up a quill. He had so many people he wanted to write to, and so many things to say...he wasn't exactly sure where to begin.

Quote:
If I had known that these past three years at Hogwarts would be as amazing as they turned out to be, I would have argued with my mum a LOT more when I was 11 to convince her to let me come so I could attend for all seven years. Either way, I've treasured the time I've spent here, and all the time I've spent with Gryffindor.

On that note, I'd first like to shout out to all my fellow lions. It's been an honor to be your prefect these past three years, and all the hard work that you've given these past three terms--even when we were at Coopers and all hope seemed lost--has made my years as prefect the best of my life. Keep on doing your homework, and working hard for the house cup every year!

Next, my Quidditch team--thank you all for putting up with me and my clumsiness! I apologize for any injuries I inflicted on any of you (and I'll bet it was a lot) and I'm going to miss playing with all of you! Anna, Lexi, Allie, Tobi, Jillian, and Winnie--good luck next term! (and to Tobi and Lexi, good luck after graduation!)

Finally, my personal thank you's. Obviously, I've become close with soooo many people here that there is no way I can say my personal messages to all of you. I love everyone at this school--if I didn't, I wouldn't have worked so hard to keep you all from losing points *wink* Anyways, I just wanna drop a big shout out to a few special people: My honorary little sister Reese, who I know I'll always be able to protect SOMEHOW. Then I wanna say goodbye to Evolette, one of my best friends and the best fake girlfriend ever.

And, of course, the most amazing girl on the entire planet--Anna Greingoth. Anna, you're my best friend and the best girlfriend ever, and although things may seem unbearable next year, I know in my heart you'll stay strong. Our time together will only make our relationship better, and once you graduate, we're going to have the best life together. I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee you and without you, I'd be nothing. You're my everything.

Ok, I think that's everything! I'll miss everything about this school especially Professor Bunbury and now--off to the Ministry!

PEACE everyone!

Caleb Markus Newell, Gryffie Prefect (And his sideburns)

Freya walked over to the book and took the quill into her slightly shaking right hand...now, what to write? 'Ah, I'll just go with whatever comes...'.

Quote:
My time here has helped me to form some of the greatest moments I have yet experienced. Don't take it for granted. I may even go so far as to state that my life was saved the moment I arrived.

Newcomers, don't shy away and stay true to yourself, even if the temptation to change who you are seems overwhelming at times. There is no reason to wear a mask when you are not happy with who you are pretending to be.

Do not lie, cheat, or steal just because the urge arises.

Take on challenges that may seem daunting at first, they are never as difficult as they first appear to be.

Savor every moment. The heartwrenching, the revolting, sadness, the magnificent, and perilous. Everything tends to happen for a reason, and my experiences are no different.

Befriend others, or if you can't and won't swallow your pride to do so, at least try to get along with them. There is no sense in making enemies with others that you constantly have to face each day. Accept your differences, but don't make them a defining factor in a possible relationship, that person can sometimes be much more similar than you first imagined. Just don't become a sap in the process, and always stick up for yourself.

Venture off and explore. There's nothing worse than spending all of your time cooped up in the common room for your entire stay here, enjoy it, get out and go for a run on the grounds or in the pathways. Goof off, enjoy your childhood while you still have it with you.
Participate in class! Yes, yes, yes. I said it. Participate and you will surely adore some professors, (some more than others) and you can even find yourself taking on additional challenges outside of a lecture.

Don't be afraid of getting too close to others. It hurts for a while, but the pain will slowly fade.

~Freya Nadine Skyler-Lorenssith
Freya read over what she had put into letter form, somewhat satisfied with her work, but of course, part of her would always hold back at least some of her emotions. She placed the quill back into it's rightful place and swung her bag over her shoulder, again, feeling that empty feeling in the pit of her stomach as she turned and walked away.
