 The Passport office is usually pretty busy. Our certification officers are working hard to help anyone in need of a passport or to renew their passports for travel. If you are in need of a passport or to renew all you need to do is stop by the office. If they aren't busy they will get to you right away, if it's a busier day just take a number and the officers will get to you as soon as possible. ooc: This thread is for any member to bring a charrie in for a passport. The certification officers of level five will help them get what they need. Those officers are paintbrush and silvertiger

Erec decided it was time to go visit some of his employees and make sure things were going smoothly. He headed into the passport office. This was an office he usually felt was pretty busy and knew his employees could handle it pretty well, but he wanted to make sure they were doing alright. He also had brought coffee for them to give his thanks for their hard work.
Going into the office Erec looked around. He moved to the desk and heard the bell ring for service. Looking around he thought about going behind the counter, but even though it was his department he didn't want to seem invasive either. "Hello" He smiled big for his employees.

Ellie heard the bell ring, and made her way from behind some of the filing cabinets where she had just been organising their documents into full view of whoever had appeared. Even before she poked her head around she could smell the coffee. Oh, what she wouldn't do for a cup right now... She had (uncharacteristically for her) overslept that morning and had not yet had the chance to get her dose of caffeine.
Rounding the corner, she realised their visitor was her boss. After a second of mild panic - she was certain they had been doing their job perfectly, Ellie was a perfectionist, after all, and that had to come through her work - she convinced herself that he could have dropped by without there being a bad reason for it. And - yes, three cups of coffee, right there!
It was ok. More than ok, in fact.
Though that still didn't stop Ellie from pulling at her sleeve self-consciously to cover her hand completely as she approached the counter. Perfection in appearance as well as work, the two went hand in hand in her mind.
"Hello, and what can we do for you?" she asked with a smile, her eyes straying towards the coffee even when she willed them not to. But the smell!

Not needing to wait long, which was a great thing in Erec's opinion he smiled as he saw Ellie come around. "Good morning, I hope the day is starting off well for you." He slid the coffee over towards her, "Brought everyone here a cup I hope you don't mind." He also hoped they liked it.
His eyes scanned the area for his other employee, but assumed she was busy in the back. "How is everything going in here? Anything I can help with?" He did have some updated handouts for them to use and he set them on the desk. "Just got these finished so you can recycle the old ones. These have the current regulations to get a passport or do a renewal and the new contacts for me as well as the new ministers name." Couldn't have old news and wrong contacts.

She glanced at the new handouts, noting all the changes made, and quickly made space for them on the desk by putting the old ones in the recycling box underneath the table.
"Thanks for these," she said. "Everything seems to be fine, pretty quiet so far actually," Ellie replied to his question.

He didn't like hearing it was slow, but Erec wasn't going to say that at the moment. He assumed this time of year would be a more busy time for this area. Maybe the employees weren't aware of it being on level five, though he wasn't sure where else it would be. He glanced around the office for a moment.
"If it gets busy do you have a system set up to keep track of who is next?" Always good to be prepared even if they weren't busy at the moment. He hadn't seen a number distributer, but he could just not be seeing.

Ellie noted that Erec didn't seem too happy about how quiet it had been, but there really wasn't much she could do about it unfortunately. It bothered her a bit too, if she were honest.
She paused with the coffee cup halfway to her mouth at his next question. Oops.
"No..." she said, feeling a blush creeping across her skin. She hadn't even thought about it, considering just how quiet it had been recently. "That... sounds like a really good idea, I'll get right on it," she said.

I expect as summer gets further in it will pick up in here. Plus during winter months when people are in need of sun." They had many wizards and witches that liked to travel into muggle areas. They would need the muggle/wizard passports.
"Do you have a copy of the muggle regulation passports available. I want to make sure we have the up to date laws and processes." Being a new department head he did have a few things to catch up on and one was what his level had and didn't have. He knew the old DH was great at the position so he fully believed everything would be there.

Mmm, sunshine. ellie held back a sigh as her boss mentioned holidays in warm places. She could totally relate. She'd only been back in England a short while and she already missed the sunshine in America - not that it was that much warmer in winter, but still.
She nodded her agreement about the ticket machine as she rummaged around behind the counter for more files which she had only finished organising recently. She was certain it had been a bright yellow one... ah, there it was!
"Yep, everything in here," Ellie placed the file on the counter top. "I've gone through most of it, it all seems fairly routine and logical really. I can double check that everything's up to date later today and add or change anything necessary."
Being proactive. This felt more like her. No more blushing.
And making sure there wouldn't be ay important bits of machinery left missing in the future.

Pushing the files back to her he smiled, "I'm not going to keep you. We'll be getting business in here shortly I'm sure of it. For now keep up the great organization you are doing." He was very impressed with this one.
With that he headed back out the door and off to check on another department.

Ellie let herself a small smile of triumph at the praise. HE was right - she had been. And she would be again soon, it seemed, she thought as she mentally went through all the databases she had to check their files against to make sure nothing was out of date.
She loved feeling on top of things. It was so immensely... satisfying.
Oh, but where was her co-worker?
"I'm not entirely sure... she should be back by now," Ellie responded to the question a bit hesitantly. She wasn't even sure where the girl had gone. Oops. Should they be keeping better track of one another?
"Thank you, I will," she added as her boss made to leave.
