Upon entering the room, it's clear to see that the person in charge of decorating the room is a big fan of historics. Various historical relics can be seen, from the framed dragon's skeleton replica on a wall near the desk to the Pharaoh statue sitting on the desk itself. In fact, save for a few items, nothing in this room seems to belong to this century. Whites and shades of brown are seen throughout the room, adding to the feeling that you've just stepped into a museum of sorts.

Aside from the general outlook of the place, the first thing you happen to see when you step inside the office is a large mahogany desk. The chairs, of course, matches the decor of the place. Writing equipment, stacks of parchment and some paperwork can be seen on the desk, along with paperweights in the shapes of historical relics and a framed picture of the woman with a baby boy. A bowl of fresh sweets and chocolates and another of pastries sits on the desk and are a few of the items that are from this century. Aren't you lucky?

Behind the Senior Undersecretary's desk is an even larger and more antique looking desk, which is generally used to store the majority of the paperwork. Closer towards the door sits a round table and a few chairs for visitors. For a more comfortable setting, a sofa can be found on the other side -- right hand side -- of the room, right near a bookcase filled with historical books, books on magical and muggle law and baby books.

The filing cabinet can be found next to the large desk behind Miss Cavanagh's desk and is protected by a number of jinxes so don't even think about trying to enter it. Not only will you fail, but you'll also leave with blisters on your hands and the smell of burnt rubber upon your person.

The Senior Undersecretary's office can be entered after passing through the Junior Undersecretary's office. Anyone wishing to see the Minister has to pass through this office as well.


OOC: Visitors are ALWAYS welcome! Do make sure to remember that, to come into the office, your charrie would have had to go through the Junior Undersecretary's Office first. Make sure to knock first. It's only polite.

After the brief talk that he had with the new Senior Undersecretary during the New Year's party he wanted to know the Delphine a little bit more.

Zach carrying a basket. He had been busy that morning making some of his famous cookies. Today is an assortment of butter cookies and his favourite, Chocolate Chip Cookies.

He looked at himself and fixed his trousers and his robe and knocked on the door.

DA DUM DA DEE DA DA DA DOO!

Humming a tune, Delphine sashayed around her new office, trying to put up as many of her new artefacts as she could. Paper cranes had been hung up over one corner of the office, right above the sofa, and she was currently finding the PERFECT place to hang up the wind chimes when........

....... OH?

A visitor? Did she have an appointment? SHE DIDN'T THINK SO. "Come iiiiiiin!" she chimed, placing the wind chimes up near the makeshift window. Perfect! Her office was done, complete with ALL the elements. Wasn't feng-shuing fun?

Zach pushed the doors into the Senior Undersecretary's office and then his eyes wandered around the room. Soooooooo different...

He had served as a Junior Undersecretary for 2 Seniors and had been a Minister Adviser before. The way this room changed between Senior Undersecretaries are dramatic and its an amazing feat all the time. Good thing this office has withstand the test of time.

Zach then walked slowly towards the desk trying not to show his amazement. He said, "Hello there. How are you today? I hope I am not interrupting anything." and then motioned the basket of baked goodies towards Delphine and said, "I brought you this" he said

Wind chimes up, the woman turned around to see...

"Miiiiiiiiiiister Junior UndersECRETARY!" she called in her most sing-song voice, "Come in, come in, take a seat. I was just feng-shuing the place." Which was HIS cue to comment on it, if he was up for the task. And she was going to judge his answer. So make it a GOOD one, MacMillan! You job was ON THE LINE.

It wasn't but LET'S PRETEND BECAUSE THAT WAS FUN.

Oh, what is THIS? "That's for MEEEEEEEE?" Delphine said in her most dramatic voice, placing a heavily ringed hand over her heart, "Are you trying to butter me up, Sir? Trying to get yourself a pay-rise?" Joking. She was joking. But she was going to help herself to one of the baked goods, okay?

YOINK.

Zach came in, trying to hide the amazement and sat down a chair near the table. He then placed the basket of goodies on the table much closer to the Senior Undersecretary.

"I like what you have done with the place. Its warm, cozy and inviting." he said looking around. Which is true considering it feels bright and sunny which is compounded by the personality of the new tenant.

Zach does not have that intention at all. "Oh no," he said looking mortified with the idea of greasing his way up to the top or bribery. Especially because his dad will surely kill him, maybe not kill, if he will know that he ever do that.

"It is just a habit of mine to bring baked goods to work. I am very fond of baking, you see." he said trying to get back his composure and hiding the fact that he got nervous right just then.

OOH, will you look at that? Junior Undersecretary was a SMART one. Naturally, she approved very much. "ThANK YOU, SIR! That was eeeeeeeexactly the intention!" Sort of. It was meant to symbolise HER as a person which, hopefully, didn't make her look like a bore. She KNEW how people perceived other people who were fond of historical artefacts and she did not approve! FINGER WAGGLES WOULD HAVE HAPPENED.

TEEHEEHEE.

Oh, how she LOVED seeing a man get all nervous like that. Delphine let out a guffaw of laughter at the look on Zach's face. "I'm just yanking your chain! CHOO CHOO!" she said, making a yanking down motion, as if she was yanking down on the chain in a train.

While the Junior Undersecretary harped on about his love for baking, the Senior Undersecretary started munching on the baked good in her hands. Having a kid meant that she had to get whatever was good for the baby -- baby food -- first and didn't have too much time to have pastries and whatnot for herself. So this was appreciated.

"Mmmmmmm! Mmmmm, I hope you bake some more because this is good! A lot better than anything I could do."

A soft knock on the door was heard. Zach looked at himself and straightened him robe. He is to see the Senior Undersecretary after his long absence. He is wondering what changes has happened since his last assignment and his abrupt departure to Australia due to personal reasons.
