Election EraAll historical records pertaining to Ministry of Magic RPG under Ministers for Magic, Sherman Clark [IC January 2086 - December 2089; OOC February 2015 - June 2016] & Althea Scabior [IC January 2090 - December 2093; OOC February 2016 - June 2017]
The main work areas is a large, open office, with dividers and desk clusters providing some semblance of order to the chaos. The room is carpeted in a soft green throughout, with several Persian rugs and plushy carpets scattered here and there for colour and focus. When you walk in through the main doors coming from the reception and foyer area, there is a waiting area to one side. If you have visitors they are welcome to sit here, or employees may take a coffee break in this corner. There are plenty of magazines provided, most of them are related to the work we do in the department of course --Achievement in Charming, Transfiguration Today, The Potioneer's Gazette, The Daily Prophet-- There is also a watercooler and right next to that, a fish tank with some tropical fish within it.
Directly to your left you'll find a table which forms the center point for part of the Office of Misinformation, in particular the Obliviators and Reminisciators desks. These employees are in and out constantly, so it makes sense they have a nook close to the door doesn't it? In front of you is a magical photocopier, running entirely on enchantments, and behind that you'll find the rest of Division one's Office of Misinformation Employees (Memory Restoration and Retrieval Bureau and Muggle Worthy Excuse Committee), along with the Invisibility Task Force of Division three, tucked away in the corner where they can get some serious work and planning done without too much interruption.
You did notice the door didn't you? That leads through to the internal corridor, from which the conference room, the breakroom, the bathrooms, the lab, and the training and trial room can all be accessed.
In the far corner you'll see those busy employees who make up the Spell Reversal Agency and Potion Accident Response Team of Division two's Accidental Magic reversal squad, if they happen to be in. They have the smallest desks since they spend just as much time outside of the office or in the lab or training room as they do at their desks, if not more.
Finally, tucked away around the corner from the inner corridor, right next to the conference room, you'll find the members of the Experimental Charms Committee, both Research and Development and Spell Registry folk have plenty of desk space here since their work is as much about the planning as it is about the doing. They might be down the hall in the training and trial room however, so be sure to head down that way if you're looking for someone in particular and they don't seem to be around.
The entire space flows well, and is clearly well thought out in regard to which divisions are located in proximity to one another, but it is also tastefully decorated with a few low maintenance plants here and there, and a muted and professional decor. There are plenty of protective charms in this work area, to ensure that the furniture won't be damaged or spoiled by experiments and the like. Above your heads there is a steady flow of ministry interdepartmental memos, purple coloured paper airplanes darting here and there. If its for you it will land on your desk, so don't bother trying to catch them, they're much too high to simply pluck them out of the air.

OOC: When you post, if you're in a different part of the office, I suggest your put the division or area in the title section so that it’s easier to follow along. Take a look at the map to get your bearings!
All level 3 employees have a desk here (except the Department Head) and everyone is welcome to make their own RPs here. What's your character up to? What are they investigating? There's always work to do, make something fun up and see who you can get involved! Your own dramas are welcome too, so feel free to work on personal plots and RPs in here, though be aware that Aron won't much appreciate it if your work is interrupted .
Other Ministry employees can come and play in here too! After all, Level 3 is perhaps the one department that has business with every other department in the British Ministry.
As usual all Site Rules apply at all times.

Aron was struggling, despite his muscular arms, to keep his hold on the large box as he made his way to an empty desk. Every now and then the contents of his box would leap with so much force that the sides of the box would bulge out, but thanks to some enchantments did not risk tearing. Although he was beginning to wonder considering just how much the bloody things were jumping around inside. The profanity was also not appreciated. Bloomin' honking daffodils.
Finally reaching the desk, he dropped it on to the surface with a dull THUD and then took a few steps back. He needed a breather before removing the lid and dealing with its contents.
And he could certainly use some assistance...so who was around and looking for something to do?

Why was the trial room so far from the Experimental Charms Committee space? Sherman wished they were closer, maybe connected by a door or something, but apparently that was too much for which to ask. Though he'd have to mention it to Aron some time.
Because not everyone was that capable of movement here, alright? Ahem.
And there was his boss now! The testing could wait, right? "Hello, sir!" The elderly man's wheelchair sidled up next to the Department Head and his... box thing located on the empty desk. What was in there that was causing that huge racket? Did he really want to know? Probably not.
"You need some help?" Also, he looked a bit out of breath... had he been CARRYING that? Was he aware of the existence of a levitation charm?
Sherman could teach it to him if needed!

Side-eyeing the box from a few feet away, Aron grumbled some more to himself about possible enchantments placed on the bouncing chattering objects inside. He had immobilized them before stuffing them all in the box, but the spell had worn off rather quickly. TOO quickly. Blooming pranksters knew what they were doing.
"Sherman! Excellent timing. I am in need of a bit of assistance," he nodded. Although seeing as the man wasn't as mobile as Aron was, he would need to rethink his strategy. "Bit of a situation at the Thamesfield retirement home. Since everyone over in the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office is on assignment elsewhere, this falls under our jurisdiction." And he wasn't about to go pester Emily over this. Surely something his office could handle in a snap pea. "How good is your aim with your, Sherman?"

Merlin, Aron. Couldn't the man recognize an empty offer when he heard one?
Of course, Sherman was DELIGHTED to help his supervisor with anything he may have needed. Of course. ".... what... exactly is it that's fallen under our jurisdiction, sir?" Some kind of devil plant? He and Lucia maintained a garden, but it had NORMAL plants in it, thanks.
.... aim? How good was his... um...
"Er..." Pause. "I married a woman who gave birth to a woman who gave birth to ANOTHER woman who is a first string Chaser for the Montrose Magpies." So one of his DESCENDANTS had good aim! Which meant... Sherman had ¼ of a good aim, right? Did that count?

Aron's gaze fell on the box once again and eyed the lid that was literally coming apart at the seams. "Dentures," he said bluntly. Sherman knew something about those, right? Aron wasn't going to ask that point blank, obviously. Would be rude and he respected the man. "Some punks enchanted them to jump around and spit out all sorts of cursory language."
He heard the box tear and could just make out a pair of K-9's chomping their way through the hole.
You know what that made you, Sherman? Absolutely nothing, but the department head just nodded and smiled at the man. "Pity she isn't here then," he joked as his own hand reached for his wand. "These buggers move fast and there seem to be counter enchantments placed on them that cause all new spells to wear off just as fast. One of us needs to use Immobulus and the other follow up immediately with Finite Incantatem." So which did he waso cast?
Only there was no more time for negotiation as the box tore and dentures came pouring, and cursing out of the box only to hit the floor and begin LEAPING around like Mexican jumping beans.

Derek rarely went to that area, but today it was sort of necessary. Unfortunately. It was where most people in his Department worked, wasn't it? So it meant he would have to see and talk to them, maybe. Oh dear Merlin.
He wandered about a little before finding himself in the cubicles area. He stood there, wishing he had stalled longer anywhere else, but he couldn't really do that. Heavy sigh.

The water cooler was a little bit too much of an effort away from her desk, but Eliora had dried out her lips with the seven cups of coffee she had already had that day - which was obviously not a problem because she loved her coffee. She was in the middle of reading an interesting article in one of the magazines left around here and so she took it with her on her EFFORT and MARATHON walk to get water. Two cups was the intention. So she wouldn't have to get back up for a while unless she desperately required a coffee buzz.
Which she would. Obviously.
She passed someone as she walked, briefly looking from the article to see if she recognised them from their behind, and smiled to herself as she folded the magazine under her arm. "Why so sighy, number 3?"

Number 3 on her list.
Even though Derek was deep in thought, he was still watching his surrounding and watched as a woman got up and walked past him. He would keep minidng his own business for a bit longer before finding someone he could talk to about work issues when said woman spoke to him, apparently?
Number 3? "Excuse me?" The lab technician gave her a puzzled look after he turned his head to make sure she was talking to him. Number 3? What?

Ah. Number 3 wasn't clued into her list and for that, she decided she was going to consider relocating him on it. Probably not though, because the view she'd got when she'd checked him out thoroughly wasn't anywhere near that of which would force him down the list. Only up, actually. "You'll find out soon, love." Eli cooed in her direction, looking from him to the magazine she had now opened up once more and was pretending to read so it didn't look like she really was looking at him.
Methods.
"Did you want a water?" She asked, giving her head a tilt in the direction of the cooler, almost as if she hadn't wanted to ask him but felt obliged to. Oh, no. She definitely intended to ask him. Eliora could play her cards well.

Not only was Derek really confused by Eliora calling him 'number 3', now his face was turning red because she called him 'love'. Why did certain women have this habit of calling everybody 'love'? This was so awkward and uncomfortable.
Needless to say, Derek wondered how he would find that out and when. Because 'number 3' didn't quite ring any bells. Was that some sort of list their Department had somewhere? If so, he had never heard of it and probably should find out soon. Imaigne if he was the only one who had no idea about this list and it was an important one? "Did Aron send any new... memos?" He asked, trying to get his face to go back to its normal colour. Unfortunately, that wasn't very easy because he had no control over his blood circulation.
Maybe that list thing she was talking about was in the new memo he had missed? And blimey, the thought of missing a memo was horrible. He felt like a bad professional. He even went to check on his almost empty desk. The one he often forgot he had at the work area, what with being locked up in his lab all day long pretty much everyday.
Water? Derek nodded awkwardly. Sure, sounded good. Especially if it gave him time to look around to try and find this list he hadn't heard of. And so the 30 year-old went over to the cooler, looking around to see if he could spot anything he might've missed on the walls.

Jasmine decided it was time to go and check her office. She wanted to get her workplace all set. She brought her box with all her stuff into it and once she found her desk, she put her box down and smiled. Man this was it, she was really here. She was starting to love her new department. The people were so nice and plus her main work area was sort of cool. She had a pool table down the hall and even a pool it seemed on the area map. She would go out and explore soon.
She found her picture frames and put them onto her desk. She smiled at all the memories she had with her friends and even parents. She put one of her mom. Even though she had tensions she still loved her. After she tidied up and got her workplace all set, she sat down and figured what she should do first.

“Good one Lovell, good one,” Bryson muttered to himself just as he spilled the last of his coffee over the papers he had just pulled from the magical photocopier. This was the second set of papers he’d managed to ruin that morning; the first having suffered from a knocked-over water bottle.
Grace and poise had never been amongst Bryson’s qualities or skills. But at least it wasn’t a repeat of last week, when the coffee spilled on his leg instead; the burn had lasted for days afterward.
The 25-year-old left his desk to make more copies when he spotted an unknown face. Being rather ADD, his attention immediately shifted to the newcomer, papers forgotten as he watched her very neatly organize a number of picture frames on the otherwise empty desk.
“Looks just like you,” he commented, eyebrows raised slightly as the girl placed a photograph of a woman that looked an awful lot like herself, except perhaps older. “This your first day?” he asked, smiling politely at the girl. Before she could reply, he was already holding out his free hand. “I’m Bryson, by the way.”

As Jasmine was putting the photo of her mother on her desk, she heard a comment and she turned around and smirked, "Thanks I get that a lot. I guess that is the only thing I inherited from my mother.." she sighed and turned around and faced the gentlemen. "Yeah it is....it's that obvious isn't it?" she asked with a squinted eye and a cute smile. Oh she liked that he was to the point. She held out her hand and shook it firmly. "I am Jasmine, nice to meet ya Bryson." He seemed like a handsome young man. "Which department do you work in?" she asked curiously.

Bryson raised his eyebrows just very slightly at the girl’s comment on her mother, but made no questions and instead dropped the subject. “Well, you’ve left all the important clues out in the open… a box full of belongings, fresh notepads, no sticky notes all over your desk, no coffee stains… and a curious look on your face.” He pointed with playful accusation as he listed the last obvious hint.
“Jasmine. Pretty name.” He shook the hand the girl offered politely. “You’ll like it around here, it’s usually a lot more exciting than this, I promise. Spontaneous fire combustions are part of the everyday.” He grinned. Chatty as always, the young man was, especially around newcomers.
“I work as an obliviator for Accidents and Catastrophes. Don’t really get to be in the office very often, but I had to review some notes on the last case.” He paused. “What about you?”

Jasmine grinned sheepishly and Bryson was right, her signs were obvious as she looked around. Wait a minute she has a curious look on her face. She tried to hide her face but she couldn't. She was just curious to explore the offices and department. "Touche nothing gets past you.." she winked and tidied up some more and once she was done, she blushed at his comment about her name. "Yeah my name is alright. My mom named me after her favorite disney movie Aladdin. Have you heard of it?" she asked curiously.
Oooh he worked as an obliviator? That seemed like top stuff. "Sounds pretty professional." She was gonna ask about the previous case but figured it wasn't her business. "Oh me? Well I am the Charms Developer actually. I excelled really well in charms back at University, I actually just switched from Environmental to here." she pointed to her desk.

"I do pride myself in my power of observation," said Bryson, wiping the cuffs of his shirt with playful arrogance. This was hardly a joke, though. The obsessive attention to detail drove most ex-girlfriends mad.
Aladdin?
"Are you kidding? I dressed up as Genie for Halloween when I was seven, then repeated the costume two more years afterward 'til it didn't fit anymore," he said with a soft chuckle. He quite liked Genie. The big blue man was chatty, just like him.
"Charms Developer..." he repeated, eyebrows raised high enough to meet his hairline. "Impressive. Yeah, Environmental is a bore." He waved a hand dismissively, though his tones remained playful. "Are you currently working on any projects?"

Jasmine chuckled and commented, "Well I am glad you have observation skills because I am sure you need to use it when you become an obliviator?" It seemed like a skill he needed in his job. Jasmine smiled and was glad she got to know someone who had some muggle blood inside their bodies. She couldn't help but laugh and nodded and smiled. "That is awesome. I dressed as princess Jasmine and my dog skippy would be Raja the tiger and people would comment on my costume." She didn't wanna brag or anything but her costume was quite adorable back then.
Jasmine nodded when he mentioned Charms developer. "Yeah I am a nerd when it comes to charms.." she grinned sheepishly. She laughed and said, "Well I wouldn't say it was a bore but it just wasn't the right department for me I realized.." she shrugged. Was she working on any projects now? She looked around and shook her head. "Nahhh not at the moment actually. I was waiting for my partner to get here soon. I really do not know what I am doing yet.." she told him honestly.

Bryson nodded his head. “Definitely. You can’t be an Obliviator and clueless… imagine the chaos that would cause. People wouldn’t remember their own names anymore,” he chuckled, coffee-stained papers in his hand all forgotten.
“Bet that was an award-winning set-up. You wouldn’t happen to have a picture of that too in there, would you?” He jerked his head slightly in direction of the box on her desk, half-teasing at the number of picture frames she seemed to have brought along.
“Can’t blame you for nerding out. Charms was my favourite subject in school; along with Defense Against the Dark Arts.” Bryson nodded his head slightly, his gaze elsewhere for a moment as he reminisced his youth. Not that he was old now, but it certainly felt that way some days. “Oh. Do you have any idea who your partner is yet?"

Jasmine tried to imagine the chaos and she chuckled. "Yes I could imagine that or you know you could give them a name of a celebrity and they could have a double identity.." she joked of course. She never wanted the professionals to do that. But just imagining it was funny for Jazz. As she was talking about her costume with her dog, she chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "Nowwww why would I show you such an embarrassing picture...? Alright I will make you a deal. I can show it to you unless you have a embarrassing or cute picture of your childhood." Seemed like a good deal right?
Jasmine smiled and was glad to find someone else who was a nerd. He seemed to like charms as well. "Well we have two things in common, we both like Aladdin and both like charms. I think this is getting somewhere.." she smiled. Oh he went to Hogwarts. "What house were you in Hogwarts?" she asked curiously. Did she have an idea who her partner was? She grinned and nodded. "Yeah I do, his name is Tucker Schultz. Do you know him in this department?" she asked.

Bryson laughed aloud at the idea of giving innocent people double identities. Mischievous. He liked that. As the new girl went on to propose him a deal, the young man raised his eyebrows, impressed. “I don’t know what you mean by ‘embarrassing’, all of my childhood pictures are the definition of cute,” he replied with playful arrogance. “I’ll bring one tomorrow, then. You’ll see.” And she’d better keep her part of the deal, ‘cause he totally wanted to see that baby-Jasmine picture.
Bryson’s eyebrows raised once again at the following statement. “You think so? Where could that be? To a Halloween costume contest?”
“I was in Gryffindor,” he replied, a hint of pride in his voice. Typical. “You?” As for Tucker Schultz… Bryson looked off into space thoughtfully for a moment. “Rings a bell, but I can’t remember the face. Unless he’s also an obliviator and erased my memory in my sleep…”

Jasmine chuckled at his statement and said, "Well mine are embarrassing yet cute at the same time.." If that made sense. It did to Jasmine but maybe to Bryan not so much? Anyways she smiled brightly when he mentioned that he would bring a photo of himself tomorrow. "Perfect..untill then I will keep this photo hidden.." she grinned and held her photo to her chest and got the key to her drawer and locked it up. "Just incase you cheat.." she winked. She didn't want any cheaters.
Jazz laughed even more at this other comment. "Well nooo not to a halloween costume contest.." she laughed some more. She had to gain some composure. "I was trying to say we could be beginning a friendship.." she shrugged innocently but this guy was sure funny. Oh now onto her Hogwarts house. She grinned sheepishly and said, "Well I didn't go to Hogwarts, my mother didn't want me to go here. She wanted me to study at Beauxbatons which is what I did.." She wanted her to go to a fancy school and also a place where their education was great.
Jazz smiled at even more humor. "I highly doubt that if you could remember his name.." She turned to her desk and got her keys and purse. "Would you like to explore more of the work area with me?" she asked curiously.

“Ooohoho, cheat? Me? Never,” Bryson waved a hand dismissively and laughed as if the mere thought of him being insincere was absurd, then proceeded to make a show out of watching where Jasmine stored away the key.
Just kidding. He totally wasn’t going to cheat.
Maybe.
“Oh. I can do friendship. Though I do have the most awesome Tarzan costume in my closet, have been waiting for the right moment to use it. Comes with the long brown locks and all.” He wiggled his eyebrows playfully. It was a wonder he was older than twelve.
“Beauxbatons,” he repeated, eyebrows raised and impressed. “Parlez-vous le français?” Not that he did. He just knew that one specific question. And the world-known bonjour.
As Jasmine offered that they go exploring around the offices, Bryson looked around for a moment and chuckled. “Doubt there’s much for me to find here,” - he’d only been here for like three years now - “but yeah, sure, why not?” He returned his gaze to Jasmine, smiling. “Let’s go."

Jasmine laughed and replied, "Well just incase you have the temptation I locked away my photo..." she smirked and hid the key really well so if Bryson wanted to cheat he will have a hard time finding the key. Anyways now he was talking about his Tarzan costume and she raised her eyebrows and laughed at his wiggling eyebrows. "Oh really? Well I am interested to see you wearing it then.." She was honest about that. She might be able to get some good photos of him. Well maybe good embarrassing photos that could make her laugh.
"Yup I did go to Beauxbatons.." she nodded and smiled. Of course the typical question of whether she spoke French. She smiled and replied, "Oui je parle francais. Comment ca va? Quelle norriture favori?" She asked a really simple basic french 101 questions. Hopefully he can answer because if he did that would be impressive.
She shrugged at his comment, "Well I am the newbie and I wanna explore this new department. Plus I hear there is a pool on this level that I wanna see.." she said referring to the department map. She nodded and lead the way and was in awe of all the offices and things to do. As she walked down there was even a pool table. She grinned and asked, "Are you into playing a game of pool with me?"

You know what wasn't fun? A callout to round up escaped magical balloon animals. Okay popping them had been kind of fun, but tracking down the muggles in the neighbourhood who had seen them, obliviating the news reporters, and cleaning up after the whole situation had been tedious and surprisingly complex for something that sounded so damned whimsical and harmless in the first place. And now he had a ton of paperwork to finish up about it. Paperwork and filing the appropriate reports.
Rustin adjusted the photo of his eleven year old daughter on the desk (Which he was rarely found at, given his job tended to be more out in the field) and then stared at the stack of forms in front of him.
Worst part of the job by far.
