Alex glanced up as he heard someone coming but went back to his thoughts, brushing off whoever it was... until the person spoke. He glanced up again and gave a half smile, "Hey, boss..." Alexalanso Castillo paused, "You okay?" He sipped at his tea then looked at his boss' coffee mug, "Need a cup of tea to calm your nerves?" He was mainly trying to be polite and to be on his boss' good side though he did care... some... maybe not as much as he would if his boss was Jazz or his sister but he did actually care some. He absentmindly stirred his tea and glanced at him still, "Need me to do anything for ya?"
He took a seat and shook his head "I'll just be grateful when all this ICW thing is over with. It's getting to me, all the cancelling and postponing and now, I found out we're having it during the Holidays." he said with a sigh. He drained about half the coffee in one gulp. "I'd say tea but I need to stay awake" he said pulling a face "Thank you though." He set back in his chair shaking his head "I'd love to have you do something for me in this case but don't think you can. I gotta tell my wife that I'm going to be gone for part of the holidays. And that's not going to go over well." Nope not at all. She already felt like she was being left with the kids with nothing to get her out to do other things, since they moved back to England. And now this?

Alex nodded, "I bet you will be..." He frowned and listened to his boss. "During the holidays?" He shook his head and clucked his tongue, "That just seems like it will be bad mojo... though the holidays are suppose to be peaceful so maybe you will get lucky and everything will work out?" He tried to offer that sympathy. "Aw... then yeah, i would probably stick with the coffee if I were you... despite the nasty taste..." He nodded and sipped at his tea. "I cou--" He was going to offer to try anyways... until he mentioned what it was that he needed done. He offered a chuckle of sympathy and a half smile half grimace. "Yeah, youre definitely on your own there, pal." He ran a hand through his hair, "I do hope that luck is on your side for that because a scorn woman is not a fun thing to try to fix." He looked at his boss.

"Yeah exactly." Mojo? Okay maybe he was a bit off the term but he got the idea of it. "Yeah these holidays aren't quite going to be peaceful if they end up having the meeting actually happen this time." He had a feeling it was going to be 3 days of arguments amongst the countries on what laws should be passed and continued on or not. "Eh, I don't mind it, I only get it at work, I tend to only use it when needed." He drained the last of his coffee and eyed the mug. Why didn't they have auto-fill ones? "Yeah unfortunately. I love her dearly but I know she wants to be out there working again. It's just hard with the younger one not being in school yet." Meh, well she did go to the daycare once in awhile. But he knew where she was coming from with wanting to be out there. It was hard going from Auror to stay-at-home-mom.

He nodded and finished off his tea. "Which would you rather do though... have your holiday or finally get it over with?" He shrugged and looked at him. "I try to avoid it... though what kinda of Spaniard am i? I mean isnt it the stereotypical one that likes coffee?" He chuckled and shrugged then looked at his cup again, sighing. He wished that he could just will the tea to come but he couldnt. He got up to go make some more. "Hmm... I bet it is hard..." He pondered family life and wondered if he would ever have kids... did Jazz want any? Will he marry Jazz? Eh, too many questions and none were important right now... carpe diem and not worry about the future? Right?
Gregory walked into the break room in need of coffee but humming to himself. He hadn't been in this great a mood in awhile and he was pretty sure he had Amethyst and Jemma to thank. He stopped whistling as he saw the scene in front of him that appeared to be rather tense. "Morning...." He eyed Gidyun as he walked over to grab his mug and pour some coffee. After adding some sugar and milk he turned around and watched them both sipping the fluid slowly. "So why all the long faces?" Everyone should be in as good of a mood as he was. Yup. Yup.

"Ugh, I honestly can't even say." he said frowning "I wish I knew. I'd like to get it over with but I hate leaving my family to sort out the holidays without me there, as well." he shook his head and moved to get more coffee. "Heh, it all depends, my wife can't drink it, it knocks her out completely. So each person's different. I only use it to stay awake really. I hate using energy potions unless I absolutely must." He smiled as he said he was betting it was hard. He looked up and smiled as Gregory walked in, "Sometimes it is, I'm sure Becca will be happier once Emma's in school as well, as she'll be more free and might even jump back into working." Merlin he had no doubt on that! "But it has its perks too." he finished with a smile.
Looking towards Gregory as he took a seat again, "Just trying to sort the ICW thing, they've rescheduled it again, this time during the holidays..."

He looked over at Gidyun. Alex nodded and sighed, "True... I get that..." Alexalanso bite his lip, thinking. "Well, hopefully it is over soon so that you can spend as much of the holidays with them as possible... though that may not happen but we can still hope?" He was trying to offer consolation to his boss. "I cant do energy potions... it makes me sick." He chuckled and smiled. "I can see both positives and negatives but I bet your wife would be happy to get back to work though be sad that her baby is growing up fast..." He chuckled, "First child or?" He glanced over when someone came in and started talking to them.
He smiled, "No long faces for me... just trying to sympathize with Gidyun." Alex gestured to their boss and chuckled. He sipped more of his second glass of tea. "Looks like you are having a great day though... any specific reason or just having one?"
Greg stared at Gidyun and sighed. During holidays? Really? That was so not ideal. Though he imagined if he had to be here for it Amethyst would have to as well. "Who in their right mind thought that was a good idea?" He sipped his coffee. "Do you..uh...know who has to be here for that? Like is all of Level One required to stay?" As in...will Amethyst have to and if she didn't could he manage to talk away out of having to be here too? Hmmm a challenge.
He looked toward the other bloke and nodded. "I am indeed having a great day." He saw his lovely girlfriend before work and her daughter and...ugh he was just incredibly happy. "Oh...just saw my girlfriend and daughter before work is all."

Who had donuts? She did. Cassie made her way through the entire Ministry holding two large boxes, each filled with a dozen donuts. She'd tried to get a variety, so hopefully there would be something for everyone. When she reached the break room, Cassie gently set the boxes on the island, careful not to squish anything. There, that should do it. Everybody should be happy with her for bringing that. Not that it had motivated her to do it or anything, she just liked donuts and wanted to do something nice.
Cassie had a few things yet to do in the break room, starting with brewing a pot of coffee. She needed at least one cup in order to be able to get through the work day. While that brewed, Cassie busied herself by opening the boxes of donuts and displaying them so they would not be missed by anyone who walked into the room. From the fridge she grabbed an orange, and from a cupboard she grabbed a small plate. Cassie sat down and began to peel as she waited for her coffee to brew.
Greg walked over to the television and stared at the little box. He had been here for...what two years? and still didn't know how to play any of these things. This was his day to learn. Looking through the games he found one that he thought seemed easy enough and then stared at the console trying to figure out how to turn it on. Couldn't they make it easy with a 'press here' symbol or something?
After pushing a bunch of random things, of which he still wasn't sure which one actually worked the machine roared to life and he was able to put the game in the console. Grabbing a controller he found a chair and sat down. What was the point of these things? He watched kind of amused as stuff started happening on the screen and he pushed random buttons on the controller only to have his character die in the first five seconds. Was this supposed to be fun? Hmph. Perseverance was key. Again he started playing and wiggled and pushed things to figure out what they did.

Gid headed into the breakroom to get himself his lunch he'd brought. With Becca off in France with Kenzie he really hadn't wanted to go to eat by himself so he had brought a lunch instead. He was almost to the refrigerator when he heard the sound from the game system and turned his eyebrows up a little. He thought he was the only one who used it! Everyone else seemed to avoid it as if it were the plague!
He grinned when he saw Greg playing on it. "Not doing so well?" he asked as he took his sandwich from the fridge.

Greg looked up at as he heard the sound of someone entering the room and shook his head. "No...not at all. I don't understand how this blasted thing works."
He reached over and grabbed a glass of water next to him taking a big sip of it before trying to play again for the zillionth time, or so it felt like. "At least I get further each time..." he said with a sigh as the character died on the screen yet again.
