Magical Cooperation

A beautiful room with slate blue walls and a green center island that stretches to the ceiling with a bar and a few grey stools on either side of it sits in the center of the room. On one side of the island sits a few tables with grey chairs sitting around them. Paintings sit on the walls as well as plants are here and there around the room. On the other side of the island is a full kitchen, with a large coffee maker, refrigerator and even a microwave with instructions sitting on the top of it, for anyone who is unsure of how to use it.

On one wall of the break room is a large flat screen tv with a game console in front of it. There with lots of games to choose from, that has a sensor bar and controllers as well.

ooc: It's a Kinect so your character's can play, and bring games to play as well. There's any game you wish here, and it can be used by the controller or by the motion sensor, takes pictures, etc. HAVE FUN!!!

COFFEE BREEEEAAAAK!!!! Quinn hummed happily as she walked into the break room, smiling for the first time in work since everything was messed -

Up. WHICH APPARENTLY IT STILL WAS!!!??? She surveyed the room, then covered her mouth with her hands! Oh noooooooo. The COFFEE POT WAS BROKEN!! Along with the entire room. !!!! She jogged to the coffee pot and examined it. What could be... Eating it? It sure looked like something had been chewing on it. She took out her wand. "Reparo."

... Would a simple spell work against it?

Gid wanted to do something different for level 5 and he knew that there was a muggle technology area but thought something in the break room would be nice as well. So he headed for the breakroom and set up a game system with the television that was already on one wall and made sure there was plenty of room for those who wanted to play to have the space they needed.

Gid headed into the break room after getting some lunch with Becca. He still had some time before he was off his lunch break so headed into the break room figuring if no one else was there he'd try out the game system he'd added during the holidays. Never got to play it much at home with the boys being on it in the evenings. And when they were at Brian's there wasn't much time for it then either...

He headed for the game system and tv and turned it on as he picked out a game to play.

Heading into the breakroom for a coffee top up, Charles glanced at the infernal device Gidyun was playing with and rolled his eyes. Yeah, coffee and desk. Those were a good combination. Better than break room and muggle newfangled toys.

"Hey Charles come give me a hand" he said looking up as he entered the room. "I could really use your help." Ah crap that didn't work! He glanced back at the screen "I've only got 10 minutes."

UGH. WAS NOTHING SACRED? People should be able to go to the bathroom without listening to music, people should be allowed to work without having to attend meetings and people should be able to get coffee without being dragged into something ridiculous like this! They were basic rights! Charles closed his eyes as he breathed out and then turned to Gid and approached him. "Yes?"

He moved over a bit "I need you to help me squash these guys, they're totally creaming me. Only 10 minutes. I swear!" he said as he moved to swat one of the things on the screen. "just hit them. That's all you have to do."

"What?" Charles asked, looking at Gidyun like he was insane. "If you want help squashing things, go call pest control. I have a council meeting to prepare for!" What in the name of Merlin was going on?? "Don't you have some work to be doing too?" Or was this the start of some sort of breakdown?

"You should be on lunch. Have you taken it yet?" he asked turning his attention to Charles. "I have...8 minutes left and I need help squashing these things." he said staring at him "Or maybe you don't understand the concept? It's something to do for fun." Heck with all they had to get ready for in regards to that meeting, a little fun never hurt!

Fun?? This man really WAS heading for a breakdown. Charles STARED and blinked. "I don't take a lunch break." Obviously. "I don't understand why this is seen as fun. Have you taken a lunch break? Maybe a nap?" he looked really concerned now.

He turned wide eyed at Charles now. "You don't what?" he asked staring back at him. No wonder he felt he was getting old! "If you don't start taking those lunch breaks? I'm going to order you to." SAY WHAT? "I am on my lunch break actually right now!" Why the heck would he need a nap??

"You can't make me take a break. I eat when I have the chance. Most ambassadors call anytime that's convenient for them and I am always there to answer." he told him. "Right... so why are you spending your break swatting flies?" he asked, looking at the screen. "Is the stress getting to you?"

"I can make you take a break, it's not okay for you to not take your lunch. Whether it be 2 hours after you get here or an hour before you leave you need to take one." he said firmly. "They can wait. Everybody else is expected to wait, they should be as well." He stared at him "Because it's a game! It's something to take the stress off!"

"I don't take a lunch break. I take a few minutes here and there." Humpf. "Most bosses don't really care as long as they work gets done." Gosh. "Time difference doesn't really help waiting. I've been here at 2am talking to people." What was Gid doing at 2am? Probably sleeping. "So the stress is getting to you. We can talk about that if you need to."

"And what about the minimum breaks you're supposed to be taking and a minimum of half hour lunch break?" he asked narrowing his eyes. "Most bosses don't care, because they don't give a damn about their employees. I on the other hand do. Yes You are to be a division head and set precedence, but I don't want you running yourself into the grave as well." He stared at him, "Actually for the most part I'm alright. The stress isn't getting to me, because I do take this time we have to take my mind off it a bit." Hmm, was that the reason he was always so sharp and snappish?

"I sometimes take a walk." Maybe once every couple of weeks? Meh. "I'm already half way there. Might as well take a running jump." he shrugged. Riiiight. "It can't be easy... having all those children and a wife that is as strong willed as yours."

"Well, get on here and it'll do the same, you can throw and hit things with this game alone and lots of others as well. Take your frustrations out without breaking anything." Errr...except bones? He snorted "Hey mate I'm older than you are, and I'm not ready to take that running jump." He shrugged "If I can I leave my troubles here at the office and not take it home with me. That actually relieves the stress, rather than encourages it. If I have to work early in the morning, because of meetings at say 2a.m. I take off early. Simple as that. You need a life outside work."

He stared at him now. "I don't want to throw and hit things." Violence wasn't exactly helping the situation. "You're not older than me." Charles spoke quietly. "You're still a young one and actually have a way to live outside of work." Mhmmm. "My work is my life." he explained. Maybe that was why he took it so seriously all the time?

He looked his way and tossed one last thing at the fly without looking "Not necessary, just something to take the edge off the stress." he said shaking his head as he heard the sound of him losing the game. "And if that's the case, it doesn't mean you don't have a way to live outside work. Maybe that is why your work is your life?" he said quietly but gently. "You should get out and do more. Not work constantly the stress isn't as bad then."

Charles just stared at the muggle machine when it made a noise. What in the world was this thing for?? Just playing? That seemed like a waste. "I like working." he finally looked back at Gidyun. "I like to make sure I'm doing all I can. Anyway, it's not like I have any family to spend time with." Or many friends. Hm. "I take some time for myself every sunday morning." Okay? Good.

Greg walked into the breakroom and finding a chair sat down in it with a sigh. He hadn't remembered being so stressed in his entire life and it seemed to only be getting worse. He looked around the empty room and eyed the coffee maker. Maybe he should take a vacation and take his mum somewhere nice. Anything to get out of this every day routine. Why couldn't things be simple? Ugh.

Alex wandered into the break room, deciding that he had done quite a bit of paperwork and deserved a break. He had his mouth set on tea and his mind might have been wandering as well anyways. His thoughts were usually on Jazz or his sister lately. He did, however, focus on his work when need be and tried to work his hardest when he was at the ministry or out in the wizarding world undercover on an assignment but right now it was just paperwork, paperwork and more paperwork. He was kinda itching to get out of the cubicle and into the world but one must pay his dues, no? He went to making some tea as he pondered his life. He needed to go to India soon to see his sister and he needed to make a lot more time for Jazz, seeing how they were together now... He missed her a lot but he was trying to get on his boss' good side by working a lot.

Gid finally tossed the last letter he'd gotten from Haiti aside and headed for the break room, it had been a rollercoaster ride with the ICW thing. Cancellations and postponements nonstop for the biannual meeting. When was it to happen? Now during what was supposed to be the Christmas Holidays! Brilliant, he was sure his employees would all love that, not to mention his wife and family. If he was lucky he'd be able to get everything finished up by New Years, and he could at least meet them in Italy with Willow and Dan and their little ones.

He headed into the break room and filled his coffee mug before looking around. Maybe he'd burn off his irritation on the game thing.... He probably should eat but his stomach was in knots now. How was he going to explain this one to Becca? He turned and saw Alex there, "Oh sorry, I didn't see you!"

Alex glanced up as he heard someone coming but went back to his thoughts, brushing off whoever it was... until the person spoke. He glanced up again and gave a half smile, "Hey, boss..." Alexalanso Castillo paused, "You okay?" He sipped at his tea then looked at his boss' coffee mug, "Need a cup of tea to calm your nerves?" He was mainly trying to be polite and to be on his boss' good side though he did care... some... maybe not as much as he would if his boss was Jazz or his sister but he did actually care some. He absentmindly stirred his tea and glanced at him still, "Need me to do anything for ya?"
