Jose was so happy to be back at work, smiling he went into the break room in search for his favourite thing ever! coffee, this man needed it and bad. even though his morning had started off rough he knew that just one sip would take him in a better direction. But walking into the room he spotted a few people that he knew quite well "Harmony, Ember and Daphne…. how are you ladies doing this fine day?" he asked them as he spotted the coffee maker and beelined for it.

Ember looked up, seeing MORE PEOPLE COME IN YAYAAYAY. The young woman BOUNCED up to say hi--and be too close and stuff because NO boundaries with this one. She waved at the woman who's name she didn't know--but she DISTINCTLY remembered seeing this woman with WWW at the Gaaaaarden party. HEH. Was the woman WITH William?! She would have to find out, yes YES.

"HI DAPHNE." She beamed at her..showing all of her white, shiny teeth. "I'm Ember--EMBER BRIGHTEN!" she said..BRIIIIIGHTLY. Hehe. "You should take a cookie--AND some hummus and stuff TOO because it's AALLLL so yummy!" she said, and just when the door opened again, Ember ate a BUNCH of the kale chips--OOOPS. She had to swallow all quickly to say hi to...JOSEEE! HER NEW BOOS. Well. BOSS as in..he was SENIOR PEST CONTROL WHOOOOOH.

She bounded over to him and held up her hand for him to give her a HIGH FIVE..and trying not to choke from swallowing too fast, yeah. "CONGRATS ON THE PROMOTION, JOSE!" she squeaaaaled. Yeah. She had heard. SHE WAS SO HAPPY FOR HIM HE WAS SUCH A HARD WORKER AND EEEEE. It made her SO happy. AND OMG. WILLY GOT ONE TOO. She would HAVE to give him a HUUUUUUGE high five when HE came in.

CREATURES DEPARTMENT WAS THE BEST UGH. Ember was SO excited that her wand was..sparking up in her holster--she had to CALM HERSELF. She took a few deep breaths and stepped back towards Harmony and sat down, smiling away and humming slightly.

Harmony watched as Ember did what she did best, bring up the energy level of the room. It was like watching a humming bird amongst a group of doves. She stood out, but in a good way. The department head certainly held a soft spot for her.

"So nice to see you, Jose! It's wonderful to be back." And the congratulations he was being given were well deserved. He'd been working hard in this department since his start and it was cause for celebration.

Since this was a relaxed meeting, the red head allowed everyone to chat a bit while she finished her tea. She then cleared her throat, wanting to ask those present their thoughts on things.

"A new year brings new opportunities and adventures and what I was wondering is whether anyone has any ideas of projects they'd like to get started on now that we're back. I'd quite like to hear what you lot have been researching in your spare time."

Daphne kind of tuned in and out of the conversation between her new boss and her new co-worker. So Ember had brought the cookies, and the boss, she assumed, had brought the other goodies. GULP. Was she supposed to bring a dish, too?! A slightly panicked look took over her face, but only for a split second. Daphne knew how to stay cool, calm, and collected, and she absolutely refused to lose it over a possible potluck.

Daphne was just regaining the bit of composure she'd lost, when the boss spoke to her once again. Ohh...call her Harmony? By her first name? That would be strange to Daphne at first, but whatever the boss wanted would be what the boss would get. "Harmony it is then," she said with smile. There, there. Maybe nobody noticed her short moment of panic. "I'm happy to be here, too. It feels great to be home again." Home, meaning her home country, but she really considered anything in her preferred line of work to be home, too. She only smiled when she was offered the snacks, because she didn't want to think too hard on that subject, since she wasn't sure if she'd been expected to bring something along.

She turned to Ember, because who could miss the woman, and smiled as a way of greeting the enthusiasm. She'd just said her name, so that didn't need to be repeated. She was being directed to the snacks again, so she guessed she should eat one or two. "The cookies look delicious," she commented, and then she took one while surveying the other snacks, too. "So you're a friend of William's?" she asked, trying to make conversation. Actually, she thought Ember might be a girlfriend of WWW's...

...and then a man, a co-worker of her's she guessed, arrived and greeted the three women. Daphne had no idea who he was or how he knew here, but then she remembered she'd just said her name to Harmony and Ember. "I'm great, thanks," she said. Her gaze followed him to the coffee maker. Ohh, coffee! That was a big 'yes, please'! "I don't think we've officially met, but congratulations on the promotion." How could she have missed that fact with Ember bouncing around so excited about it? Speaking of Ember, maybe she was dating this man instead. So much excitement!

Then the boss sparked up a meeting about department-wide research. Daphne would contribute but only later. She was the new girl, so she thought it gave her an excuse to just listen for now.

William was here, yeeeeeees he was, just sliding into a seat as Harmony officially started the meeting. He gave a friendly nod of acknowledgement to Jose, Ember, and the new girl--- Daph. Yep. As the boss talked, he eyed the snacks over yonder. Oooh, had Harmony brought in her famous kale chips and hummus dip?! Awesome. He could get up and get snacks later.

First things first: leadership. Answering the boss' question. Leading by example and such. He cleared his throat and piped up, "After doing that training for uni students at Gringotts, I'm feeling kind of inspired, Harmony. I would be interested in doing an impartial comparison of the Magizoologoy, Cryptozoology, and Dragonology kind of programs at the various wizarding universities. We could publish our findings for parents and Hogwarts students in like a brochure."

William knew he had to be cautious in what he researched. "Researching" other Ministry departments, for example, was frowned upon, but this uni idea... it sounded like a good one!

OH OH OH William was here. WILLIAM. She waved at him as he came in and then turned to Daphne, the NEW person. "Um..friend, sure! I'm friends with EVERYONE." Merlin, did she MEAN it, too. Because she was. And while William could USE some more....meditations in his life, and Ember didn't always....AGREE with his words--he was a friend, sure. SURE. Ember just turned back to Harmony, smiling away.

OKAY. Work time. and Work TALKS.

Ember thought for a moment about how to put her thoughts into clear and concise wording. AHEM. "Well. Personally. I think there aren't enough sanctuaries for...well, pests in general. Or rather," she snorted a bit. "Creatures qualified as pests." Ember didn't see those little guys as pests--no--they were...they were just creatures that lived in certain ways that did not align with the way humans thought things should be done. "And I just feel like hurt and...well, dying pests should have a safe place to stay and stuff. I know there sanctuaries for all the other...more interesting creatures." She said with a shrug. "I just see the neglect that--well, for example, doxies--or Boggarts--they can get hurt just like the rest of them. And..maybe we're just the people to jumpstart those programs." yes. There. Ember had gotten her thoughts semi-coherently.

Passion always made it hard for her to speak normally. But those were her two cents.

Harmony was pleased that Daphne was happy and she appreciated the way the rest of her crew seemed to be welcoming her with open arms. It was so important that the workplace kept a positive and team oriented environment. The department head was proud to have such positive auras together in one space. It made the red head's smile widen considerably.

Ember nodded. She KNEW it was a good point because it was TRUE. "Well--the sanctuary shouldn't, in theory, affect other people, considering it should be isolated, you know?" If that made sense? And then she siiiighed. She knew public opinion wouldn't care about pests..they'd all vote against it. It wouldn't be a fair poll at all. "But I guess people should know if a pest sanctuary is in proximity to them--"

The woman didn't want to...go all...ANIMALS FIRST PEOPLE SECOND, of course, but she couldn't help but feel that a lot of times, humans didn't quite show respect to the animal life....like she did, and of course the others in this department.

"Also, Harmony--this is minor but--I think the mutants in the holding cells should be named." she said with a nod. "I mean--their official names on documentation would be 'Mutant Z' and whatnot--but when we handle them, I think we should name them, because naming them might give them...a sense of...well, belonging." She thought she might sound crazy..."What I mean is-animals respond better to having a name rather having...no name. Dogs, cats, kneazles--most creatures like that. and I think we could give them names pertaining to their Mutant letter--Like 'Z' would be Zara--and so on and so forth." Yes. She KNEW it was trivial, but she still thought it'd be a good idea!

TEA. Ronnie needed tea. And she needed it now.

As she poured herself a cup, she glanced around herself and saw that the room wasn't empty. There were a few employees, she noticed, from the Magical Creatures department. As she set a lid on her cup, she turned to them and gave a wave. "Hello!" she greeted.

Daphne suddenly felt kind of lost, what with her being the only new one here and all. Well, technically she might not be the only new one. There were others in the department, somewhere, and she had no idea if they'd been here before or not. Either way, she suddenly felt like a plimpy out of water as she listened to the others detail what they'd been up to.

Oh, WWW. He was in her division, yes! She tuned in to what he was saying, trying to pick up on something she could contribute to. She nodded along. "Oh, I can help with that," she said, her eyes moving from WWW to the boss and back again. Dragonology had been her major at Wizarding University, after all. "If you'd like an assistant, that is." It was his idea.

She didn't say anything about her next thought, of course, but WWW seemed a lot more intelligent than she'd pegged him as being. Hmm. Maybe it had something to do with all that dessert at the orientation.

Then Ember caught her attention again, saying something about friends. Had that been what they'd been talking about? Daphne had gotten distracted with that conversation when the boss had gotten things underway. Oh, right--friends with WWW. Riiiight, just friends. Heh. Daphne passed Ember a smile but said nothing else due to the meeting. Interrupting the boss wasn't something she aimed to do on day one. Or any day.

Then, ...a sanctuary for pests? Hmm. The thought, or anything close to it, had never crossed Daphne's mind. Her gaze slowly traveled to the boss as she waited for a reply to that one. First, there was a reply to the Dragonology idea. Well, there were other ideas there, too, but the dragon-based ones were the ones Daphne had tuned in to. The boss had suggested WWW spearhead a team, which was just what Daphne had in mind, too. PICK ME, PICK ME.

But then... "Mutants? In a holding cell?" she asked. HOLD UP. Whaaaat? More details, please.

Another employee walked in just then, and Daphne spared a quick "Hello" before turning her attention back to Ember.

Oliver Parks somewhat nervously entered the break room, looking around.

It seemed pretty empty at the moment, but the snack table caught his eye and he headed over to examine it. He scrunched up his nose. He'd never seen such things in his life. He decided he'd best at least try the tan-brown goop and the strange looking chips, but he wasn't feeling very optimistic as he scooped some of the hummus out onto one of the small plastic plates and added some of the kale chips. He made sure not to get too much; he wasn't the type to waste anything.

He glanced over at the smoothie machine warily before heading over to it. "Wheatgrass?" he winced. That didn't even sound appetizing. "Well, might as well try it."

These new "healthy choices" people were trying out these days were almost scary. He turned on the machine and waited for it to make his smoothie, listening to its soft whirring sound as he fiddled with his curly dark hair nervously. As the machine stopped and poured his smoothie, he collected it and headed over to the vacant table in the middle of the room to sit down.

He took out his gum and placed it in its wrapper before taking an experimental sip from the smoothie. It actually wasn't horrible, and he didn't dislike the taste, exactly, but it was a bit chunky for his tastes. He finally decided to take his chance with the hummus, scooping a very modest amount up onto one of the kale chips. "Here goes nothing," he gulped before taking a bite. He blinked, somewhat surprised. It certainly didn't taste like "junk food," and it certainly wasn't "junk food," but ... it wasn't that bad either.

He shrugged and continued eating, though still somewhat cautiously.

Hadley had started her day the usual way; a jog around the park, a shower and black tea, before getting ready for work. At the ministry, she put her head down and marched her way up to the fourth floor, keen to get on with work. She plonked her thick manuscript on her desk and unlocked her drawer to pull out her research folder. But today was different. It was the start of the year, and Harmony had set up a picnic of sorts in the break room. So, Hadley had placed her manuscript in her desk, locked it, and made her way to the Break room.

And there was a member in here. Hadley smiled and made her way up to him. A new face. She sat down at the table near him and took a kale chip. She had had these before in Harmony's office, and remembered she quite liked them. "Hello," she said, seeing that he was trying the food and smoothies. "I'm Hadley, spirit support officer." She reached her clean, non-kale occupied hand out to him to shake his hand. She wanted to get to know her team, which she was sure was the reason why Harmony had done this.

Oliver looked up at the witch as she entered the break room and made her way over. Oliver wasn't the most social person. He tried; he really did, but somehow he always seemed to come off as a bit blunt and ... well, almost rude. He was really hoping this time he could make a halfway decent first impression. For once.

He made a conscious effort to smile back at her as she sat across from him, but he was already getting a bit nervous. "Hi," he managed curtly as he took her hand. "Werewolf Registry Archivist. Oliver Parks."

"I'm new," he added with a smile that turned out looking more like a grimace. He felt better about this than he usually did, but something was telling him he hadn't exactly hit his mark of making a good impression.Well, I tried. What else can I say?

He still couldn't believe they'd put him in a position dealing with people. Had they even looked at his application? Well, that's a stupid question, Oliver. Of course they did; they put you working in Magical Creatures, didn't they? Apparently they just didn't know how bad it actually was. So Oliver had simply decided that he would be speaking to people as little as possible so as to avoid making himself look like a jerk.

The red head was rather cheerful as she made her way towards the break room. Yes, Harmony had felt at ease ever since setting foot back in the ministry and her aura was pulsating a perfectly pale yellow as she entered the room. Oh good, there were some of her lovely employees here enjoying the snacks she'd prepared!

"Hello there! Hadley, lovely to see you! And you, you're Oliver. Welcome!" The department head placed her hands together in front of her and then gave each a bow. "I hope you're enjoying the food I set out. I've been thinking we could do away with the coffee and donuts for a bit and give these a try? Maybe it'll boost the energy levels within our department! It certainly couldn't hurt!" The woman gave a giggle!snort and then took a seat, crossing one leg over the other and observing the man and woman thoughtfully. Were they on board for this, as well?

The woman who had just entered the break room was absolutely glowing with positive energy and she walked with a sense of confidence that was almost tangible. Oliver immediately liked the witch, but he was somewhat intimidated by her at the same time.

He gave a curt little wave and nodded to her, not trusting himself to speak quite yet.

At her mention of the food, it finally clicked. So this was Harmony Skylark! I thought I had recognized her from somewhere. Then he gulped, realizing something else. This was his boss.

He decided to try to speak. Maybe he wouldn't blow it this time. He spoke slowly, weighing his words before he spoke them, It's ... very ... different. Certainly not something I would choose for myself- but it isn't too horrendous either. Quite ... edible. And I'm sure it's as ... healthy as it looks. Not that all healthy foods look quite this bad. I mean. Not that they-" He decided to just stop talking; he could have slapped himself. Great going, Oliver. She probably hates you now. He just concentrated his gaze on his lap, inwardly scolding himself. "Yay health," he mumbled halfheartedly, but it came out sounding almost like sarcasm. Frowning, he busied his mouth with his smoothie before he could make more of a blunder. Merlin, how he hated meeting new people. And not because of the people. Because of himself.

Merlin, what was with these new creatures men being... a bit odd around her? First that dragon man, now this guy? Well, Hadley did like a challenge, even if it was a social challenge. At least he was trying to smile.

She shook his hand and let it go, quick and to the point. "Ahh so you're Oliver," she nodded once, "I saw the notice on the board welcoming the new employees. It's nice to have a name to a face." And then another smile, but this one was so tense Hadley almost wanted to tell him HE WOULD BE OKAY, but perhaps that wasn't the issue. Maybe he just didn't feel comfortable socialising.

Hadley got up and got a cup full of this smoothie and sipped at it, then sat back down. She could always trust Harmony to have the latest health foods on stock. She sat in silence for a few moments, not sure whether that would make him more comfortable or less. Perhaps less. "What sort of job experience do you have as a Werewolf Registry Archivist?" she asked, always genuinely interested in peoples experiences.


Hadley turned when Harmony came into the break room. She had been sure the department head hadn't been too far off joining them. "Hi Harmony, how are you today?" she asked, though judging by the general look of her boss, she was doing okay. Hadley gave Harmony a warm smile, always feeling content in her presence. Actually she felt like she wanted to pull out her yoga mat and do a session with her.

Hadley smiled at the suggestion, "I don't know how I feel about no coffee," she laughed, "But this wheatgrass smoothie is amazing! I feel better already," and that was before her morning coffee. "But by all means I'm up for getting rid of the doughnuts. These kale chips are very moreish," she reached out and ate another one.


Hadley found that laughter bubbling up again; what? He was just so awkward, it was very endearing. She'd never TELL him this of course, because she was sure it was something he didn't want to hear. She tried to help him out, but for what good she didn't know. "Well I get what you're saying Oliver. Who ever knew a crispy leaf would be delicious and healthy?" She popped another one into her mouth. It reminded her of a mandrake leaf, but MERLIN they were addictive. "I made a batch of these a few nights ago, actually, Harmony. Worked out wonderfully."

"I'm wonderful! Thank you, Hadley! I hope you both are doing well!" Though both of their auras didn't seem to suggest otherwise. Mr. Parks did seem to be a bit nervous but he was still very new and the red head hoped that with time, he'd relax. She had gone to quite some trouble making the department a comfortable work environment, after all!

"I'm willing to compromise on the coffee, I suppose." Harmony smiled from Hadley to Oliver, her tone light-hearted. "I do like tea, myself. We'll keep those around, then." But she was also keeping the smoothies and was pleased that Hadley was a fan. As for Oliver, well wasn't he just the sweetest thing?

"You're quite right! Not all healthy choices look appealing but one must get past that so as to enjoy their taste and benefits they have on the heart and mind!" The department head grinned, her attention now on the woman seated nearby. "Oh, you did! That's lovely. I find they go quite nice with dips of all kinds."

"Now tell me, do either of you have any ideas for the department? I'm quite interested in hearing what everyone would like to see around here and best to start with the two of you, while I've got your ears."

Addi really felt in her element today. Doing paperwork and busy work was right up her alley - it made the day go by fast, she was good at it, and it actually entertained her. She had already made the receptionist's desk her own - she had pictures of her friends from America, her brother, her animals, and of course a pile of Witch Weekly magazines to read just in case things got realllllllly slow.

Carrying her Ravenclaw coffee mug, she wandered into the break room and smiled happily at her fellow employees. "Hello everyone! How is everyone doing today?" she asked happily. Normally she wasn't this jolly this early in the morning- but this was her second cup of coffee today so you know. She was AWAKE and all.

Daphne Addison drew in a deep breath as she stood outside the door to the break room. This was her first day back on the job in a really, really long time. Maybe not that long, but it seemed to be that way. Just when her brand new job had gotten off to a good start, Daphne's life pretty much went into tornado-mode, and she was forced to step down for a while. Thank Merlin her job had been waiting for her when she returned.

She smoothed down her skirt and gently pushed open the doors to the break room. Skylark was already asking for ideas, and some new girl was greeting everybody as a while. Daphne smiled at her, glad to be greeted with cheer to combat the nervousness she felt. "Hi, I'm Daphne Addison," she told the girl, "and it's great to be back. Are you new?" She had no idea, since she'd been away for so long. "Mrs. Skylark," she said, turning with a smile to her department head. "I hope you're doing alright."

Also, where was everybody? Ember? WWW?

No he’s not late...only, he took another wrong turn for the nth time to end up in another conference room. It was a bit embarrassing to barge in a different room filled with professionals really, but he’s Mordred Mordaunt, so he was able to get away with the sticky situation with a nice turn of his head...and a courteous apology as well. Not that it was an after-thought. The building was a bit confusing for a new employee.

Know what the whole Ministry can do next time? Round up all the new staff and take them in and out of the different offices in the building. That way they’d know who is who...and where is where.

Just a thought.

Straightening his tie, Mordred softly knocked on the door and stuck his head in to see if it was the right room. The new dragon researcher was relieved to see familiar faces from the orientation, so he took his left foot inside, and shuffled in the room quietly. No need to make any noise for now, yes? He’s new so he’s got the perfect excuse to keep quiet.

And...what are those things in the middle? Crisps? Dip? It looked...way too organic for the dragon man, which reminded him of farms and ironically, desolate lands where the Russian dragon guys keep the baby dragons.

He wasn’t going to touch those edible things for now. His wife had made sure he was stuffed with food before they started their first day as Ministry employees. Mordred looked up and nodded politely to those who made eye contact with him. Hello, hi, how’s it going?

Harmony had been waiting to hear if anyone had any suggestions when more of the creatures family joined the small group in the break room. The red head smiled warmly and gestured to the empty seats nearby. There was enough space for everyone and certainly enough snacks.

"Hello, hello, nice to see you!" Genuine, she was. She enjoyed the people she worked with very much and appreciated their input. Speaking of, "I was just the others about what they'd like to see more of in this department. I'll extend that to you lot as well. What can we change? Are there any issues that need addressing by us that we're not currently focusing on?" She gave encouraging looks to everyone and then waited, eager to see what they had to say.

He was running late and he knew it. But it wasn't every day when ones mooncalf brought new life into the world. To the keen people observer, Tancred looked rather rushed as indicated by his unshaven face, loosened necktie, and mismatched socks. But the chipper smile on his face could be noticed by all. Hopefully that would be enough to overlook his slight tardiness this morning.

Quietly slipping into the break room, the man caught sight of some faces he didn't know and those that were familiar to him. A few familiar faces, he noted, were missing. So Tancred was relieved to not be the last employee to show up to their first-day-of-work shindig. He quickly greeted Harmony and Daphne and some new faces as he passed by and made his way to get some kale chips and hummus.

After taking a bite, he glanced around the room to see where would be best for him to jump in. Everyone appeared to already be engaged in conversation with at least one other person ... except for the twenty-something lad. Was that the new dragon researcher Harmony had mentioned? He certainly looked like the dragon type. "Hi there," he said, giving the younger man a head nod. "You must be Mordred, yeah? Tancred Adara. Dragon Commissioner."

Wait...this was a brainstorming session? OH NO, had Addi accidentally walked in on a meeting?! EEK! She had no ideas, she was totally unprepared! Was the receptionist even ALLOWED to come up with contributions to the level? After all, she did the BUSY work side of things, not the actual CREATURES side of things. Not yet, anyways...

Her train of thought was interrupted, however, by the woman who introduced herself as Daphne Addison. ADDISON? Hehe, what a small world! Nerves about this potential surprise meeting suddenly forgotten, she smiled and giggled at the older woman. "Addison? That's funny...my name is Addison! Addison Longbottom," she introduced herself. "I'm the new receptionist," she added.

And then...there was that guy again. The one who didn't talk. Hello, Silent Man. Addi gave him a smile of acknowledgement and moved on, looking back at Harmony who seemed so EXCITED all the time. Not that Addi had a problem with that. She liked excitement!

But she stayed silent. No ideas here. Not now, at least. She hadn't really gotten her feet wet yet - she had no idea how things were actually DONE around here in most regards, other than at the front desk. So she just sipped her coffee silently, brown eyes darting back and forth between the other employees. The ones who probably had way more ideas and a lot more clout here to actually make an impact.

Chatty, that one over there, wasn’t she? Well, she’s supposed to be since Addison is the new receptionist. Mordred can already tell that she and the rest of the ladies will get along really well. As for the newest dragonologist in the team, he’d rather be outside doing dragon-related work, or sat in his office cubicle and get his research done. But then, they were called to said meeting to discuss about the possible improvements for their department.



Well, he’s got one up in his sleeve. He was a former employee of the Royal Russian Dragon Reserve, so he knew what to expect in the British Ministry. However, that is not the case. It was quite...sad to notice how behind their own ministry is when it comes to dragons. Have they been that dependent to neighbouring reserves? Hopefully, that is not the case.

“Harmony?” Mordred sat straighter in his chair as he prepared himself to address the bosswoman and the rest of the people inside the room. “Upon my initial tour around our floor earlier, I was expecting to find a small holding room, or hatchery for captured dragon eggs around Britain.” Where was WWW when you need him? “I didn’t find one; well, there’s the creatures holding room, but dragon eggs need a different environment.” Merlin...he’s talking too much now, isn’t he? Well, for the love of dragons, he’d be more than happy to talk about it all day long.

“I suppose, it’s a good idea to expand our division’s workspace to include such facility? It should make our research work easier.” And that the Ministry’s Magical Creatures Division can be an additional contact point for neighbouring Romania and Scotland. Right?

“And we can hold internships or...volunteer programs through it for young Hogwartians who’d like to take up Dragonology in the future.” Just his 2 knuts.

He’d love to continue, but then a distraction had to happen.




As Mordred carefully constructed his proposition further inside his head, a scruffy man entered the room to get himself some kale chips and hummus. The young dragonologist watched him subtly, and gave him a grin when he saw him approaching. Tancred Adara. Dragon Commissioner. Oh...oh. So he’s his mini-bossman? Mordred immediately memorized the man’s face as he faced him and offered his hand to shake. “Yes, sir. Mordred Mordaunt, your new junior dragon researcher.” Welp, too bad he came in late. He could’ve scored some serious brownie points from him with his idea.

Giving a nod of her head and a smile, too, Daphne greeted a few people who came in and either stayed silent or struck up a conversation with somebody else. She wasn't one to do interruptions and figured they'd come across one another later on. Hearing the sound of her department head's voice, Kate turned toward the woman.

Suggestions? Changes? Anything? Daphne had no ideas. She was looking for more direction from those above her in leadership, and then once she knew what was going on here and there, she'd dig deep into her thoughts and come up with something. "Not now, no," she honestly said. "I've just come back from a small leave, so I'm not really in the loop right now. I was actually going to ask somebody to update me on what's been going on. Especially with the dragon research."

She turned her attention toward a slightly younger woman and smiled. "I guess Addison is a pretty popular name then," she commented. "Well, welcome to level four." Daphne always tried to get along with the receptionists. It seemed that no matter how hard a task she was assigned, she could always...ALWAYS...use the assistance of a receptionist.
