Meetings within the Department of International Magical Cooperation and it's department head Gidyun Yenorin will be held here. We may have meetings with other departments and an occasional one in his office, but any meetings in regards to the entire department will be here. As well as if there are any dignitaries or ambassadors joining us!
A large, oval shaped, metallic topped table sits in the center of a large room with lots of windows on three sides. Nice and comfortable rolling high back chairs surround the table. On the fourth side sits a long table with a coffee pot and an electric kettle on one end of it for tea.

Quickly getting acquainted with his department’s office space, Ryden had no trouble locating the Conference Room. That morning, the first thing he saw on his table was a memorandum from Gidyun, instructing him and some of his colleagues to attend a meeting regarding the Junior Quidditch Meet. The first person that came to mind was Robert, his good old friend from Hogwarts, who made a short stint in the British Ministry, and is now working for the ICW Quidditch Commmittee. Ryden was sure he’d be excited about the event. “No, he’s probably aware of this since last year...” he murmured to himself, as he went over their agenda sheet, and took a seat in one of the comfy chairs in the room.
Once done, he gave out a sigh, and went on to open Jace’s letter from school. As expected, it was in Japanese, and it was long. Ryden often wondered if his youngest son ever wanted to be a writer someday. Reading from right to left, up and down, the Foreign Relations Officer wore a grin on his face as he read the first few lines of Japanese characters...the grin however faded slowly as Jace revealed to him that they had a hag as a professor...the next few lines didn’t make much sense since because the Hag attempted to put them all in a daze. His son escaped half of the effect since he used his scarf to cover his mouth and nose. Clever child.
“What?!” And his class were poisoned by their own Potions professor?! Maiya would kill him if she finds out about this. Ryden went over the letter quickly, and read it again just to make sure that he was reading everything right. And...what is this talk about a girl? Already? His eleven year old already breaking hearts? My my. Jace surely got that from his old man.

The rather audible 'what' that came from the room as Michele approached it signaled that she was indeed not the first one there. She wasn't sure if she should find that surprising or not - she was making a point of being there before they were supposed to be, but the voice meant that someone else had done that as well, and gotten there even earlier than she had. The tall woman's eyes settled on the lone man in a chair when she stepped into the room.
Wasn't first, but wasn't last either. That worked absolutely fine for her. With a light nod in the man's direction should he look up from his letter at the soft clicking of her heels on the floor, she moved to take a seat; there were no labels, nor indications on where she should place herself, so she chose one near the end of the table. Rhys had always placed her next to himself and had placed himself at what had ostensibly ended up being the head of the table. She wasn't quite sure what Gidyun's preferences would be.
"Good morning," she added, after a moment, to the mostly empty room and the sole other person in it.
Becky's Bestie | Magic Pen Original Nymphadora | Lizasaurus
Gid had his large mug of coffee with him and had a number of folders with him and a notepad and pen as well as he entered the room. His eyes went around as he entered and smiled at two of the new employees "Hello" he said brightly. He was excited about all the employees they had gained over the hols and couldn't wait to get started with the trainings and planning for the junior games. They had so much planned and it was thrilling to get started!
He saw the look on Ryden's face though and concern showed "Is something wrong?" he asked taking a seat at the end of the table his eyes on Ryden.

Ryden’s thoughts were everywhere concerning his youngest. Jace unknowingly breaking a young girl’ heart, and the rest of the school being taught by a Hag who almost ate a boy, and shortly after that, they all got poisoned in Potions Class, right under the bloody nose of the Professor. Jace did not fail to write down everything in detail. Apparently, the Standard Ingredient used was tampered with.
Hiding his scowl with his hand, Ryden sat back in his chair and wondered if the Quality Control Division is aware of this? They are not letting substandard goods reach the shores of London, correct? Also, ingredients as such should be tamper proof with a handy charm. Amid his deep thoughts, Ryden heard the clack-clack-clack of heels, looked up from Jace’s letter, and smiled at the woman who arrived. Sitting straighter in his chair, he greeted the new comer, “Goodmorning.” Yes, he’d seen the woman at the Bingo Mixer yesterday, but never got the chance to interact with her. A lot of conversation went down in that room.
Shortly after the woman’s arrival was Gidyun. “Good day, Mr. Yenorin.” He said, giving the man a grin. Ryden took note of how early their boss was when it came to execoms. It was a good thing he didn’t decide to dilly-dally on his first, official task. Of course, tardiness is frowned upon in the diplomatic corps.
Ryden let out a sigh, got up to collect his things, and moved closer to Gidyun, and the woman who arrived after him. Since they all arrived very early for the meeting, he supposed it was okay to have a bit of chit-chat with the two. “I wish I can say nothing is wrong...but...” Ryden shook his head and took a seat in front of the woman. “Hogwarts. My youngest, Jace, told me that they’ve got a hag as a Divinations Professor.” Ryden unbuttoned his gray suit and sat back looking from Gidyun to the woman, “And apparently they got poisoned because of a tampered Standard Ingredient. How can it be tampered, when it’s supposed to be sealed upon delivery and before use? I’m sure the Professor knows the correct way to check if the ingredient is fresh or not, correct?” Ryden shook his head, and massaged his forehead, giving the Professor the benefit of the doubt. “Thank Merlin it was just a mild poison to begin with...” Still. His son was poisoned. “Mild or not, it was a close call...”

The boss was next to arrive, and Michele took a sip of the coffee from her travel mug before offering the man a nod and a smile. "Good morning," she murmured to him, eyes straying back to the other man who still seemed rather distressed. The reason was revealed a moment later, and Michele frowned.
She has an alum of Beauxbatons, and as such had never been to Hogwarts. But that didn't mean that she had never heard of the strange things that happened there. There was always going to be incidents at schools, with there being so many young children there experimenting with magic. There had been incidents at Beauxbatons as well. But Hogwarts seemed to have a lot more problems than any school she had ever heard of.
"How could they hire a hag at a school?!" she asked, pressing a hand to her chest in shock. And tampered ingredients, as well? She was suddenly much more grateful for her school experience. "Are the children alright? Has the Ministry been notified to send testers to ingredient suppliers?"
The last question was directed at Gidyun, because he was much more likely to know. If the tampering had happened before it was taken to the school, the public could be at risk as well...
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Because she was new at the Ministry, Victoria didn’t want to be late but still look her best. Therefore, she had woken up an hour earlier to make sure she got everything ready and before she knew it she was walking through the hallway on level five to get to the department’s conference room.
She didn’t wore high heels but training shoes, something she was more comfortable in walking. She had tried of course , at home but the result had been disastrous. Dropped a teacup from the kitchen table when she had tried to catch her fall. Something her mother still did not know about and she liked to keep it that way. Because mother’s were scary when mad no matter what age the child is.
The twenty four year old entered the conference room ,with her head held high, hair in a bun and a notebook clutched in her arms. “Hello everyone” she greeted them all with a smile and took a seat somewhere. “I couldn’t help overhearing at the door. My brother told me about the hag as well” well , it had more been instant whining on how one of the Professors (one Jerkface or whatever) had stolen his glory to safe everyone but mweh) She hadn’t known about the potions getting tampered with though, this information was something he had not given him. Perhaps he hadn’t found it important? “Oh!” Victoria looked as if she had just remembered something, and she had. “I forgot to introduce myself, silly me!” she laughed. “My name is Victoria Hyland, I’m the new Foreign Relations Officer, it’s nice to meet you all”
Coffee. Dmitry needed coffee. Sadly he wasn't likely to get any. Ember had just been too excitable the night before and this morning, which meant that Mitya had ended up getting only a few hours sleep. Not that he blamed his fiancee for her excitement, she was back at the Ministry and in a job she loved, he just wished it hadn't kept him up so late and then woken him up so early without the chance of his life saving drink. Although, admittedly that was more Dmitry's fault for having forgotten to buy more beans the other day. At least he could have breakfast though and maybe after the meeting he could take a chance and go to a cafe or something to grab a drink. Because while there was a coffee pot in the conference room Mitya was a coffee snob and he wouldn't be subjecting his tastebuds to whatever substandard brew they might have today. He also didn't trust that it was cleaned regularly.
Dmitry took a moment to smooth down his suit and readjust his grip on his folder, which he ended up tucking underneath his arm, and the pastry box he was holding before walking to the conference room door and pushing his way inside. Lo and behold the room was full of people he didn't know. Then again, that wasn't such a surprise considering how many new hires had been made this time around. "Morning all," Dmitry said as he took a seat near Gidyun.
As the rest spoke about all the problems Hogwarts had been having recently Dmitry couldn't help but be glad that he'd never attended the school. He honestly didn't know how the place was still open with all the child endangerment that had gone on over the years, he still remembered all the horror stories he'd gotten off Stasya when his cousin had gone there. As it was since he didn't have anything nice to say about the school, nor did he know enough about the actual issue this time to truly participate in the discussion, Dmitry simply kept quiet and took the opportunity to set out his pen and notebook and to open up the pastry box and grab a Vatrushka to snack on while waiting for the meeting to actually start.
Well he did take a slight break in eating to reply to the new Foreign Relation Officers introduction. "Nice to meet you Victoria. Dmitry Konstantinov, I'm a member of the Security Council." Probably best that introductions happened now and maybe everyone else would follow suit? Hopefully. But for now back to the Vatrushka and wishing desperately for caffeine.

Given with the events that took place just a few months back, Tyler found himself to the start of the ministry year meeting in the International Co-Operation department. He'd just like to sit in and gather information for himself instead of having to come back after to do so. Hopefully he wouldn't be late to this little meeting, because he had no plans to stick out like a sore thumb.
He mumbled a good morning as he walked into the office and stood to the back.

Nice, warm cup of coffee in hand, Sky entered the conference room with a general "Hi," for everyone in the room. And immediately heard a piece of info she was none too pleased with.
The bit about Hogwarts earned an exclaimation from the woman that some would consider none too becoming of a lady, not that she cared. A hag? Poisoned ingredients? What the heck was going on at that school? She knew that Headmaster Botros had apparently lost his memory, was this a part of that?
And then she spotted someone that didn't belong. "What are you doing here, Tyler?" she asked, taking a seat beside her fellow security council member. Not accusing, just wondering. Unless they were expected to work with the Aurors on security for this silly little venture of Games and Sports'?

Gid took a long drink from his coffee smiling gently "Feel free to call me Gidyun or Gid" he said kindly to both of them. He hated that stuffy sirs and misses or ma'ams unless of course the employee preferred it for themselves. He wouldn't deny them if they wished to be called that, he just hated it for himself to be honest. And used it very sparingly if he could help it. He smiled gently as Ryden got up and moved closer to him and Michele. He hoped honestly they would have a good turn out and not be missing very many from the meeting. With the hols gone and over now it was a struggle to get going but hopefully not too much so!
His eyes showed concern as Ryden began to speak and an eyebrow lifted quite high as he listened. "I heard about the hag...but this potions thing?" he said quietly shaking his head "Torie hadn't mentioned that..." he muttered, or had he skivvied off potions again? "It should be sealed from the moment it's created til the moment they use it." he said nodding. "There isn't any excuse for that, no child or even staff member should need to worry about those ingredients. I'll notify Aron and see if there's anything to be done. Perhaps the apothecary needs to be checked in on."

He shook his head at Michele, merlin his thought was that exactly. How could the board of governors even allow such a person to teach at the school. Wasn't the student's safety first and foremost important in selecting someone to teach them?! "I don't know but I think there should be an inquiry sent to the board of governors to find out. I know I'll be inquiring."

The first term with the headmistress and children being taken into the forest, and acromantulas in the school? Now a hag? Something had to stop! "Welcome Victoria" he said with a smile. He'd make sure all introductions were fully done, as soon as everyone had hopefully arrived! At least all the employees knew him as he'd hired them. Soon they'd all be introduced though!

Cassie was there. Yes she was. In fact, she was kind of excited for the meeting. It was the first time she would be meeting many of her new coworkers. That was always an exciting time. It would be nice to see new faces around the office. Hopefully competent, eager, employees of course. She entered the meeting with a nice cup of coffee in her hand. A vanilla mocha, actually. A necessity.
"Good morning," she greeted the room as a whole when she entered. Gid got a nod as did the other employees that she already knew. But most of them were unfamiliar faces. They got a warm smile. "I'm Cassandra. Immigration officer and liason to the press." What had they been talking about before she entered the room? Cassie took her seat and tried to catch up. Nothing important, she hoped. Not official business, but it may be interesting nonetheless.
Rhibear ~ Madam Solo ~ Dark Brooding Girl ~ Accio Jedi ~ Gryffinclaw ~ Just a doll
Katja sauntered into the conference room, determined to make a good first impression on her coworkers. "Good morning, everyone," she said, putting on her most charming smile. She hoped they wouldn't have trouble understanding her strong Danish accent. "I'm Katja Westergaard, the new consulate to Scandinavia, but you can call me Kati."
After helping herself to a cup of tea, she took a seat at the far end of the table. As she adjusted her folder neatly in front of her, she couldn't help overhearing bits and pieces of the conversation taking place. A hag for a professor? Poisoned potion ingredients? The whole thing sounded...unsettling. She was glad her nieces and nephews were safe back home in Denmark and too young to attend Wizarding school! "please pardon my ignorance, sir," she said, turning to the gentleman who she'd heard talking about his son (Ryden), "but does this sort of thing normally happen at Hogwarts?"

Tyler turned to look at Sky as she walked in. The question really was, what was he doing here before her? He'd save it though.
"The same thing that you're doing here Sky....working." Sure it wasn't his department but it was one ministry working together for the greater good. They weren't confined to one singular department.
The auror nodded towards Gideon and shook his head. He barely ever even sat when he was having meetings in his department so he wasn't about to come in here and relax.
"No thank you Gideon. I won't be long. I'll stand thanks."
Each employee that joined after got a silent nod from him. Right..he was ready for this thing to begin.

Ryden took a moment to look friendly at the new comer, who introduced herself as Victoria. The worried expression returned however when she affirmed that the hag professor is true.
The man kept his silence as he mulled over things, wondering why the bloody hell those members of the Hogwarts board allowed such thing to happen. Were the members of the board poisoned by somebody so that a hag could infiltrate the school? “Something is not right there.” He said, addressing to the woman, Michele, in front of him, “I don’t think there has been an intervention until the hag could no longer control herself. What were the professors doing? There was no action from the Interim Headmistress, right until our children were out there in the cold ready to be turned into stew.” Ryden let out an exasperated sigh, and did not notice the others arriving. “I’m pretty sure the other wizarding schools have their own issues as well, but this hiring of a hag as a teacher is way beyond stupid...”
Turning his attention now to the Department Head, Ryden nodded. “No casualties at least, Gid,” According to his son’s letter that is, unless of course Jace decided to omit a few, but more important details. “But the Ministry should do something to prevent this tampering of ingredients to happen again.” Ryden picked up the letter again and shook his head, “Could you imagine the damage it would have brought if the School Healer’s potions were tampered with?” The Wizarding Healers Organization will not be happy about it one bit. “Maybe you should send our Quality Control Officers to the local Apothecary? We have to make sure that our local potion ingredients are supplied and shipped properly.” Hopefully the shopkeepers aren’t getting their supplies from the Black Market. “I will try and make an appointment with the Hag Specialist at the Magical Creatures Department too.” Ryden opened his journal and added that to his agenda for the day. He needed answers on how to handle a hag, just in case, hopefully the specialist is nowhere near like a hag.
Setting his pen down and closing his journal for the meantime, Ryden turned to another newcomer, and gave her a somewhat pleasant smile. “I believe so, yes. It is an old bastion of magic, history, and adventure. I suppose it is just living up to its name.” He need not mention the accidental deaths during his last year, no? “I’m Ryden Reed, the new Foreign Relations Officer. It is my pleasure to meet you Consul Westergaard.” He said inclining his head to the woman.
And as he looked around the table, he was sort of surprised to see how many people have arrived. “Good morning everyone. I’m truly sorry to dampen the day’s mood with such news. I’m Ryden Reed. New Foreign Relations Officer.” He smiled at the members of the DIMC. Merlin, he did not mean for everyone to hear his concern.

The room was filling up a bit more now, and the French woman took care to at least nod in greeting to each person who joined them. The smile she had offered to others earlier, however, had faded, because her focus was now on the school, and a bunch of children that were by all accounts not hers but still in need of protection. What were those in charge of the school doing, allowing so many horrible things to have happened?! Merlin forbid, children had been at the threat of being made into stew before anyone had reacted?!
"That is horrid," the woman whispered, looking at Ryden with widened eyes. Had she any family in this country, she would certainly have been owling them to inquire about any plans to send her nieces and nephews to Hogwarts. Thankfully they were all too young and Beauxbatons, much closer to them, was obviously preferred. "I do hope your son and all of his friends are well after all of this..."
No casualties, after all, didn't mean there was no damage.
She realised then that she hadn't given her name to any of the others in the room. With the exception of Gid, she hadn't managed to make her way around to any of them during orientation, and so the names were all welcomed and committed to memory immediately. Michele sat up a little straighter in her seat and mustered a smile for the room despite the current conversation.
"It is a pleasure to meet you all," she said softly, looking from person to person even if they weren't looking at her (even the person who didn't seem to belong to their department). "My name is Michele Malkin, and I am a member of the Wizarding Secretariat."
Her job title felt a bit clunky around her accent. Maybe it was because it had been so long since she had been anything but a 'personal assistant'.
Greg was sooooooooooooooooooo late. So much so that he forgot his glasses and kept nearly running into walls as he tried to hurry up to his office and the conference room. Looking very frazzled and disheveled the division head walked into the conference room and spotted PEOPLE there. Ugh! He was never late. Finding his seat that he normally sat in taken he dropped a stack of papers he had been caring on the table and sat down with a sigh.
There were people here he didn't know and he looked like a mess. Awesome division head he was. Maybe he could pass blame onto the kiddos and not just the fact that he had overslept. Hmmm.

Regina wasn’t late. Neither is she early. She arrives precisely when she means to.
Which is right now, when everyone has intro'd themselves and shared their life stories. Or stories about other people, which in turn tells something of themselves. Chit chat is such a glorious thing innit?
She slinked her way into a seat and rested her chin on her smooth, perfectly manicured hand. And she smiled that silent dark smile. Oh and to the Department Head, she gave a wink.
Yes everyone, please continue. Such interesting repartee.

Emily wasn't late. Thankfully. At first when she pushed open the door and saw the crowded room she worried that she might have been, but then she saw that the meeting hadn't begun and that people were still talking to each other.
Phew! "Good day Mr. Yenoran," Emily smiled formally to her new boss as well as to some of the other employees before walking to sit down on an empty chair. The thirty five year old witch was wearing a formal blue suite with a tie and her stark black hair was tied in a bun.
She listened to her fellow coworkers discuss things as she waited for the meeting to begin. Did someone just mention a hag?
Sorry I put it off but when I saw more people coming I waited!!

"Good morning" he said smiling at Cassie as she entered the room and introduced herself. She knew that Cassie had a lot of good ideas, some that he had talked to her about that he'd been discussing with another newer employee even.

He beamed as another new employee arrived "Morning Katja" he said with a smile. He shook his head at her words, though and let Ryden answer. No this certainly wasn't the typical thing to have happen. Though...the unusual part with the spiders two years ago was unsettling as well. He really wondered what all happened there at the school quite often, and now this?

"The same thing that you're doing here Sky....working." Sure it wasn't his department but it was one ministry working together for the greater good. They weren't confined to one singular department.
The auror nodded towards Gideon and shook his head. He barely ever even sat when he was having meetings in his department so he wasn't about to come in here and relax.
"No thank you Gideon. I won't be long. I'll stand thanks."
Each employee that joined after got a silent nod from him. Right..he was ready for this thing to begin.
He nodded not arguing, if he wished to stand it was his choice.

He nodded at Ryden's comment about other schools "That I'm sure of as well. I mean no school is completely drama free. And wizarding schools are definitely no exception to that rule. But this seems to be a bit extreme. A hag, why in merlin's name the board would suggest using a hag as a professor. They can't be that desperate for staff can they?" He had a few names he'd put forth if they needed staff members! "No kidding! St. Mungo's has enough to deal with. They don't need to have the issue of poisonings within Hogwarts as well. At least they were able to find a cure or it wore off. Does your nephew say?" he asked Ryden.
He shook his head at his apology. This was clearly something that needed looking into!

He agreed though with this. It was horrid. To think that those kids at the school now had to fear the chance of being poisoned in the school?

He greeted the three that entered soon after and smiled gently at each of the newcomers. "Good morning all, let's go ahead and get started, I think most of us are here now, it looks like." he said counting those around the table. "A few of you have made introductions, how about the rest of you introduce yourselves as well? I'm Gidyun Yenorin, as you all know, but please feel free to call me Gidyun or Gid." he said brightly, unconcerned about the unneccessary stuffiness of sir's and ma'ams.

“It is,” he said addressing to both Michele and Gidyun. “I wonder if the Ministry for Magical Education offers a summer camp for professors. It should tackle issues such as handling...unexpected circumstances in school.” Like for example, a hag, in bloody Hogwarts. “All I’m saying is that the professors should be, somehow, an independent unit within Hogwarts who is in constant communication with the Board...and vice versa.” Was it that hard to keep the communication line open?
“My son is okay, and the rest of the class. The professor has an extra stock of antidote in his storage room, and that cured everyone.” Ryden sat up on his chair as more people came in. It looked like they are about to start the meeting. “You have a son too in Hogwarts, yes?” he said turning his head toward Gidyun.“Didn’t he tell you about their Potions class?” because, why was he asking him what happened?
For a moment, Ryden got distracted when a man, much younger than him, entered the conference room looking dishevelled. The 42 year old inconspicuously looked at the man, and realized who it was. His Division Head, Gregory Michaels, III. Merlin...he is young, but Ryden was sure that his immediate boss is very capable of his duties, correct? Or...has his tasks already took its toll on him? Just...look at the poor bloke.
Anyway, Ryden nodded his head, and gave everyone around the table a friendly grin. He has introduced himself already so instead of talking again, he opened his journal once more, placed the date on a clean page, and drew a table similar to the one they are using. He wrote down their first and last names, as well as their designations within the IMC according to where they were seated. That way he’d be able to place names to faces easily. A similar technique he uses whenever he’s in a meeting with foreign delegates.

They need to introduce themselves? Awww and she was just getting comfortable learning all about them...
But time for spoken pleasantries. The pale brunette lowered her hand from her chin, clasping them together in front of her. See? She is gracious, affable, absolutely nothing to hide "Goodmorning." she paused waiting for their gaze to fall upon her. Yes please take it all in, she took the effort to look her best today "I am Regina Roa," pause again, remember that name "and I am the Excise Service Officer with the Trades division." that dark smile curls up ever so slightly to a charming grin "And I hope to have a chance to work closely with every one of you--" yes even you guy standing in the corner being really obvious he doesn’t belong to this department "--as I aim to have a very productive, and lucrative, year for this department." she finished oh so subtly batting her lashes at Gidyun.
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes
Greg breathed a sigh of relief as Gidyun hadn't called him out for being late or anything. But then again he wasn't the only one who had come in late. He flipped open a notebook ready to take notes and looked around the table. He couldn't see anything but blurs on the far side but at least he could see the people closer. This was going to be a fun day. Maybe Amethyst would find them and bring them to him. One could hope. Listening to the others he fixed his tie.
Introductions? Oh yes...new people were here. Clearing his throat he smiled. "Hello everyone." And blurry spots down there. "I'm Gregory Michaels. Please call me Greg. I'm the Foreign Relations and Liaison to the Press Division Head. I'm also currently as blind as a bat so if I don't recognize your faces at the end of the table later I apologize." He looked toward Gid and shrugged. Better to be honest right?
They were introducing themselves? This should be fun.
Emily listened as Regina and Gregory introduced themselves, making a note to herself how Regina had pronounced the word lucrative and had batted her eyelashes at Gidyun, and smiling when Gregory mentioned being blind as a bat.
Standing up and smiling briefly at everyone, she crossed her hands in front of her and began. "Hello everyone, my name is Emily Valentine. I am the Undercover Buyer and Magical Trade Personnel." From here she recited from memory word for word what her official job description was, only changing the words "you" and "your" to "I" and "my" every time they came up, along with adding a 'we." "This position is a Magical Customs Service as well as an undercover position. I will keep an eye on internal trade within the country and make sure that the goods and products being flown into and out of the country are legal. My job also is to find black markets and find foreign sellers that often sell illegal foreign goods. We are to observe, purchase and report back, but otherwise do not engage. This position reports back to the International Magical Cooperation Department head and works closely with the Magical Law Enforcement offices."
"I am honored to work alongside all of you," she continued, trying to make eye contact with everyone at the table - finishing with Gidyun. "For most of my life I have been a journalist and this is my first job at the Ministry, but I promise you that I will try do my best. I too am looking forward to a very lucrative year for the Ministry." She smiled at Gidyun as she finished and sat back down.

Playing with her long blond hair Claudette had so far kept a low profile at the conference table, not joining in the conversation about what was going on at Hogwarts. She sat near Ryden, the only other IMC employee that she was somewhat familiar with since their nice round of golf at orientation.
The 20 year old, young adult turned her blue-eyed gaze to Mr Yenorin, her new boss as he got the meeting kicked off, opening the agenda with introductions. Attentively Claudette listed to every new person as they shared something about themselves, trying her best to memorize their names to their faces.
When there was a lull in the intros, she cleared her voice and gazed around at all the faces, a sweet, warm, inviting and slightly nervous smile pursing her lips as she spoke to them all. "Good morning everyone," big pause. To get everyone's eyes on her. "I'm Claudette Poignant, new Immigration Officer and I'm excited to get the chance to work closely with all of you, during what I hope will be a good year for this department and the Ministry of Magic as a whole." Quieting down, she glanced over at Ryden wondering if that sufficed in his book for making a good first impression.
