That glass of water-- much appreciated Boss Lady. He nodded his head both as acknowledgement and thanks then quickly gulped the water down. Yes that helped a great deal.
Little boy seems to be so enthralled. His nerves was still a bit on edge but Wyatt's voice gave a certain sense of normalcy, oddly enough, and he managed to keep going and be you know... competent
"Very good Natalia. Just ease up on the apparating into the new locations. You'll get better once you get the hang of it. Being relaxed and confident allows one to slip in and out with ease." Hence how some people can apparate and disapparate with barely a popping sound.
He then gestured to the next one "Stage Two is moving from one point to another on an unlevelled surface, such as crossing a river or a wide space. So your task here is moving from Bree to the Pelennor Fields without falling into the Gap of Rohan." he said pointing at the deep, squishy ball pit between the two stone tiles. "Like so...." To demonstrate, Vickers stepped beside Nat in the general area of Bree then turned to dissaparate. He popped up on the Pelennor Fields tile across the gap-- but a little too close to the edge. Uhoh.
He flailed his arms a bit before stumbling forward solidly on the tile. Oops. Looks like his nerves got the better of him there "Uhm... yeah watch out for that. Thats a minus." he smiled sheepishly.
Stepping back towards the sidelines he continued "So yes go ahead, do a practice run and then tell me when you're ready for the actual test." |

Stage 2, she was on stage 2. That meant she passed stage 1. This was so awesome and she was going to have her apparition license in no time. This was going to be great. Oh yes! She listened as he talked about the next stage. Try not to fall in?
Umm..
Looking at it she felt a bit better when she saw the ball pit. Now do try not to land their on purpose. She wandered if the little kid wanted to go play. Not right now though, right now she was going to pass this with flying colors. She had to.
Thinking about the destination she thought about the place. Pelennor Fields... Pelennor Fields. She could do this. With a little turn she diapperated away and reappeared in the ball pit.
Damn...
She as thinking about playing in it to much, wasn't she?

Whoops... well that was bound to happen....
The Ravenerd stepped forward with a look of mild concern. Good thing he decided to place squishy balls in there instead of just leaving it empty "Thats alright Natalia it happens." He conjured steps by the side of the pit so that the Slytherin girl can climb back up. "Try to give a bit more.... inertia... more willpower to your efforts to get to the other side. " he suggested.

She actually was giggling, could they hear? She was in a ball pit. The seventeen year old had never been in a ball pit. As a child she would have loved to be in it, but she was never allowed. So she could hear him, but she wasn't moving just yet. She was laughing to much over this.
She had to get out though and do what shew as there for. She grabbed one of the balls though. A nice blue one and headed up the steps. [b] "I'll do it this time."[/b She winked towards the little boy and rolled the ball to him. Maybe he wanted something to entertain him.
Moving back to the place she needed to be she looked at the location she needed to go. She could do it and she would. With a little turn and holding her wand she disapperated with a poof and with another pop was standing exactly where she should be.
See she could do it! Though could she fall into the ball pit again?

He had to smile in spite of himself when he heard her giggling. Good call on the squishy ballpits then. Much better than sand, which he had originally considered. But then that would be a disaster for the Ravenerd in the event that he had to go down there and get the applicant out. Sand issues. Which may or may not have been worsened by a certain Professor Bellaire. Nothankyouhesfinerighthere.
And then-- she nailed it! "Very good! You've completed Stage Two." and so far nothing bloody or sicky about it. Which to him can only be a good thing.
"Alright, now we move onto the last part of your practicals...." He gestured to Natalia to come walk with him. "Stage Three is apparting with an obstruction. Here we have the Wall of Minas Tirith..." he said pointing at a curved wall about 10 feet tall. They continued walking around to the other side, where the White Tree of Gondor mock up stood "Take a good look here, because you need to visualize getting to this area when you go from the Pelennor Fields, past the Wall of Gondor and appearing near the White Tree." Again Vickers demonstrated the process to Natalia, all going without a hitch this time. As he rounded from behind the wall he added "Remember what you've learned so far from your previous two challenges, because you will need those to gauge your apparating strength-- too weak and you might materialize yourself within the wall--" which can be awkward in here, but almost deadly out in the real world "-- too strong and you'll end up plowing into the tree or missing it entirely."
Any questions? "Go ahead with your practice run. If you find yourself in the wrong place, dont panic, we're here to help you out." | |

She completed stage two. SHE WAS SO CLOSE! This was almost over and she would have a license. What an awesome feeling that was. She didn't even feel nervous anymore. She could do this. She knew she could do this. What an exciting thought. Her eyes focused on Vickers as he talked about the next step and showed her where to go. She could do this and she was not nervous at all.
A wall... pffft she could handle a wall. The wall wouldn't give her any trouble. She looked at it for a few minutes and then thought about the tree. Yep she was going to do this and it was going to be so easy.
The tree that was where shew as head. Grabbing her wand and doing a trun.
Poof
Well hello tree. She looked over at Vickers with a big grin on her face. Piece of cake."
Yep she did it.

Wyatt watched with keen eyes as the water was floated over to the man and in true three year old fashion, he quickly decided. "I want water too, Mummy." It was a certainty the boy wasn't actually thirsty but when you saw magic at work, you tended to want to see it again and he would maybe even have MAGIC WATER if she floated him his too.
The little boy found himself pressing further into Miss Lynley's side, offering only a shy sort of smile when the girl winked at him. He thought to wave too but his hands weren't as willing.
"Can I have some water?" Even with his attention once again grabbed by the poofing, he hadn't forgotten that he wanted to SEE the floating glass of water again. He wanted a floating glass of water and he wanted it to stay floating and then he and Teddy would have floating water.
The comment of checking her office got little more than a nod. Wyatt wasn't aware of anything special in there, leaving him with little reason for enthusiasm toward the idea--not when THIS was happening here.

And good job, Miss Natalia," she said gently, gently for Lynley Purcell anyways, and swept out the doorway. "Gonna go check on my office next, kiddo. You will get to see where Mummy works." she wondered if he had a concept of that yet. Kids were interesting like that...
