I liked this paragraph. You'd never get to see this normally, and it's interesting to see the school preparations. It always seems so made up, already.

Dock house points?” he challenged sarcastically, “for all you know I could end up in your own house, wouldn’t that be funny?”

All of that...excellent. I can really imagine them saying that. There again, your canon characterization skills at work.
