my heart beats faster - Sa13+ These are the love letters that Snape sent Lily, from the time they met to the time of his untimely death. Some of these are sad, some are romantic, some border on pathetic, but all of these show Severus's love for the red headed soul mate. I own none of the characters, the setting, or anything else in the Harry Potter universe. The only thing I own is the plot and the letters. Sample- Dear Lily, I still remember the day I met you. Your vibrant red hair shone in the sun and your smile was so bright the nighttime stars couldn't match it. You were arguing with your sister, and even though I didn't know what the argument was about, I was immediately on your side. You seem to have that effect on people. Or at least me. Anyway, I assured you that you weren't a freak, and it was like becoming instant friends. You were the first friend I ever had. I don't know if you know this, but most people tended to make fun of me. You were the first child to actually be friends with me and accept my greasy hair and grey smock. And I helped you with your stupid sister. |
Welcome to Character Stories! I am such a Snily shipper, so I can't wait to see what you come up with with these letters! Don't forget to edit your first post with an index of all the letters you post! |
letter one: On the Hill I still remember the day we met with the vivdness of a freshly drawn picture. Your red hair and the look on your face as you ran from your sister, who was mocking you with the repeated name of freak. Cautiously, I stepped away from my tree and looked upon the scene in front of me, your sister running away from my sight. You stayed. That simple act spoke volumes towards my nine year old psyche. Every other kid either ran or mocked me. We became fast friends, showing each other the magic we had and looking up at the crystal blue sky. We spent every season there, trudging through the crystaline white snow and the fallen petals to come to the top of the hill. We discovered magic there, flowers blooming in our hands spontaniously. From nine to eleven, we talked and laughed, shaking with laughter at times. We found Petunia's letter and talked about school and being magical. It was litterally the coolest experience either of us had ever had. Even in Hogwarts I missed those two carefree year by the tree, before we met James and before we had to worry about being wizards. Before I lost you and before I said some things I didn't mean. In those days we didn't have to worry about what we said, because words like Mudblood had no meaning. We were innocent, and in the best way possible. We had the world at our feet on the hill and we had the power of magic to get us what we wanted. Of course we never used it, but the power was still nice. With love~ Severus Snape |
may 13 2013 post date letter two: the tower starts falling And it was time Lily! Hogwarts at last! We felt so grown up and rejuvenated as the years turned into a year and that year turned into a month. Anticipation clawed us from the inside out and we found ourselves smiling so wide the ocean couldn't touch our grins. It felt magical and wonderful. Those summers were the best summers of my life. And then... it happened. The day were everything was finally coming together. It was time to find the platform and then the large scarlet train . I remember how grown up you felt at the time, and how little we looked with our luggage trailing dangerously behind us. Whoever thought to give small children giant luggage bags was not the smartest. Anyway, facing all of these children, I felt a little sick. Why? Because again, I was the boy with the greasy black hair and you were the beautiful red-head with the shining star smile. I personally knew how cruel kids could be, and while I was scared for myself, I had no fear for you. You were smart and quick, and even though you were small, I figured you shouldn't have trouble. The sorting hat put you into Gryffindor, and as you passed my table at the sorting hat ceremony I smiled politely. However, I don't know if you noticed Lily, but my smile was faked. I didn't know how much I'd see you now, and that scared me. You were my only friend, and losing my only friend would be like losing the one person you care for. I'm not sure why I'm writing this now, more than ten years later, cooped up in my office with a rainstorm raging about outside. You're happy with James, and I'm happy alone, I guess. It gives me an unlimited amount of time to focus on my teachings, and the kids aren't always horrible. However, I guess sometimes it's good to get things out and in the open, even at a horribly inconvient time. Maybe I'm going back to our childish whims of weaving the other with sensitive information and whether or not you truly care to read it is out of the question. you never left my side, even when James bullied me and the kids were cruel. You always offered a smile, even when I had none to give back. And for that I thank you. Sincerely~ Serveus Snape |
