Hi, My name is Sophie, or Soph if you like. This is my first ever Fan Fic and I'm so nervous to see what you think. I don't own anything in the Harry Potter world but a HUGE thanks to JK Rowling who does and does such a good job at brining the characters to life through all her fab Harry Potter books.

So here's whats happening. Sirius has just died and Harry is returning to the burrow before school starts back. Only difference is that I've made Harry and Ginny go out with each other in the last few weeks of school like just after Sirius death and that Dumbeldore has already told Harry of his task he will have set for him when he returns to Hogwarts, oh yeah, and Bill and Fleure's wedding is THIS summer instead of it being the following year. So this story follows Harry and Ginny over the next few years at Hogwarts and we follow the story as they rekindle their relationship so this is a Harry/Ginny Fan Fic

So here goes...

Chapter 1


It was all set. Harry was to arrive at the burrow tonight.

I don't know how I feel about this. On one hand, it will be safe for him here untill we all leave to go back to Hogwarts where he will complete Dumbeldore's task but on the other it's difficult for me to be around him. After we broke up my whole world came crashing down. My life is black hole without him and as much as I want to see him, it will leave me heartbroken if something bad happens at this dangerous time in the wizarding community.
You see, after the fight at the mnistry, Dumbeldore told Harry that there was only one way to destroy Voldemort, that is destroying the Horouxes he has made. So Harry this year at Hogwarts is to attempt to defeat the Voldemort-again. So that is why Harry and I are no longer, because of Voldemort.
I remember how sick I felt when he left me, apparently in order to "protect" me. I don't need protecting! I need him. He is the only thing that could hurt me and he did. Hermionie tells me it out of love, yeah well, love sucks in my opinion. I'm sure he didn't intentionly mean to hurt me, but he did. It only makes it worse when he talks to me just like when we were friends. I can't stand the politness of the tone of his voice. I would just gaze into those emerald eyes whie listening to his tenor voice. It inflicted pain upon me but I felt close to him, because I knew he was right there with me. Mum was so worried at first. She told me it was for the best "Things like this happen for a reason, Dear," she would say "Your lucky Harry cares so much about you." I would turn away and cringe at the sound of his name. We haven't seen each other in so long, well about two weeks but thats a long time for us to be apart.

Harry arrived just after 7pm accompanied by order member Kingsley Shacklebolt. Mum pulled him into a tight hug saying how wonderful it was to see him. He shook my dads hand then looked at me. I looked back with an expresionless face showing no sign of emotion. I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. I looked down at the floor and I felt myself being pulled toward him in a weak but friendly hug. I inhaled deeply. I was home. Back in Harry's arms. The famous Harry smell incircled me but he let go too soon. Everyone watched carefully to see how I would react. I looked up avoiding everyones stairy eyes, shrugged, smiled weakly then continued to the sitting room.

"Dinner!" Mum shouted. I put my book down and made my way to the dinner table. Harry went for the same seat as me. I tryed to show no sign of emotion but failed when I breathed out heavily and shook my head. Why me? Why does he have to make this unbearably painful than it already is? I turned to go to the furthest away seat. "Gin," he pulled out the chair and gestured with his hand for me to sit. It saddend me when he called me Gin. Only called me that. "Thank you." I replied, in an emotionless tone and obediently I sat down and ate my dinner in silence.




Chapter 2

Later that Night...

Kingsley left the Burrow as soon as Hary was settled in. Hermionie had arrived shortly after dinner. Her arrival seemed to lighten up a rather moody Ron. I don't understand why Harry and Hermionie put up with his sulky attitude
I was in the spare room with Hermionie. She was unpacking a few nessesities for her short visit. "So," she said "...How've you been, Ginny? You didn't put much in the letters"
"I won't lie to you, Hermionie, I've been better," I said in a flat tone and I shrugged as I stared up at the celling trying to hold back tears. I knew where the conversation was going.
"Oh Ginny," Hermionie stopped what she was doing and came over and sat down beside me. She wrapped her long boney arms around my shoulders and I broke into tears. "It's so hard to face him," I sobbed "I can't look at him and when I do, I feel like I've been punched in the stomach. It hurts to be in the same room as him. He said it's for the best. How is this better than when we were together. I don't know about him, but this is know good for me Hermionie. If only he knew. I mean,I..I..I"
"Ginny," she smoothed down my hair "you have no idea how much this hurts Harry. Your his everything. Your all he talks about, when Rons not there obviously, but this is why he's doing this, for you. He has to defeat Voldemort and this is the only way he can. It will be tough for both of you, but once this is over you both can get on with your lives, without Voldemorts annual interuptions. Harry loves you Ginny. Trust me."

Hermionie and I contiued talking and laughing. I was winding her up about how Ron liked her and we both burst out laughing.We were interupted with a knock on my room door. We both coposed ourselves before I opened it.
It was Ron. We both started laughing again. He looked at us with a puzzled expression. "Um... Mum sent me up. She's made tea and said you've to come down for some before bed." He bounded back down the staris
"Put on a brave face for Harry." Hermionie said with a smile. I nodded in agreement before pulling a jumper on over my pyjama top and slipping on my slippers before heading downstairs.


Chapter 3- Part 1

I woke with the sun glaring through the blinds. I rolled over onto my side. My alarm clock blinked 7:30am. I gazed around my bedroom. "Good morning Ginny." Hermionie said. "Morning" I replied only half awake . I sat up and looked round the room "Are you comming down to help?" Hermionie was already up and dressed. She sat at my dressing table brushing her hair.
"With..." I asked dazed and confused
"It's Harry's birthday and your mums having a special birthday brunch. Plus there's last minuet plans for Bill and Fleur's Wedding. Fleur's Parents and sister arrive tomorrow." Yuck. Can't say I think much of Gabrielle. She should know that Harry will never be her's and that he only has eye's for me.
"Oh yeah. Do me a favour. There's a gift bag in my cupboard. It's for Harry. Can you take it down to the kitchen with you. I'll be down in five" Hermionie left the room and I climbed out of bed, stretched and put on a navey top, tights and navey and white skirt. I walked out of my room and across the hall to the bathroom. I tied my hair back and washed my face with hot water. Then I brushed my teeth and rinsed with cool minty mouthwash. I now felt quite awake. I joined my mum, dad and Hermionie in the kitchen. Mum, once again had outdone herself. She must have made enough to feed fifty, but then again we've got Ron to feed!
Harry came sleepily down stairs followed by Ron. "Happy Birthday Harry!" Hermionie handed him a small bag. "It's for when we leave," she told him as he unwraped it. "I find that writing all my thought and feelings down in a diary helps plus that is possible the most interesting book I've ever read"
"Thank you Hermionie. I love it" The diary was beautiful. It had a leather cover and the book was about magical creatures. It looked very interesting. I'm sure Harry will enjoy reading it.
"Happy Birthday Mate." Ron said while handing him a rather small peculiar box. It was well wrapped in shiny red paper with a golden bow, which made me think who wrapped it because it obviously wasn't Ron. Harry opened it carefully. "I couldn't think what to get you so it's the broom polish PLUS and I O U." but that was just an act. I knew fine well what Ron had got Harry. A book called 'Fail Safe Ways to Charm Witches.' and I only knew that because I was with himwhen he bought it. He was obviously embarrased about what Mum and Hermionie would think of him getting him a gift like that.
"Thanks Ron. You shouldn't have" Harry said laughing.
"No bother ,Mate" I just glared at Ron and Herionie rolled her eyes. I was about to had Harry his birthday gift when Ron but in and said "Aw, Mum what's for breakfast? I'm famished!"
"Yeah, cauz you look starved, Ron!" I glared at him. He gets in the way of everything!
"Geez, Ginny. What's with the attitude? What's the problem?"
"Your face, Ron. You git!" I stormed out the door and into the garden. This was too much. He is so insensitive sometimes!
"Ronald!" Hermioie tutted
"What did I do. It's not my fault she's in a bloody bad mood! Time of the month or what!" I heard him mutter.
"RONALD!" I heard her scream "Ginny's right. You are an insensitive git!"

Hello Sophie, What a cute story you have here. I enjoyed your posts so far, and I'm sure I will keep reading it. I love how Ginny's mood changed so much, (for the better ) when Hermione got there. She was such a big comfort to her. I also love how Ginny feels when she's with Harry, and when she gives into her emotions. Harry has always been my favorite character, and I love him and Ginny together. The whole post (each of them) is very believable. I'll be watching for more.

Chapter 3 Part 2

Though it was sunny, the air was cool. It felt nice after spending so long in the warmth of the kitchen. I colapsed into one of the deck chairs at the side of the house. I stared into the distance. The feilds were a pretty golden colour. It was very picturesc. I relaxed my body and closed my eyes. Mabey this was a good thing we were going back to Hogwarts. I would just stay out of Rons way because I would certainly lighten up. I must have lay there for ten minutes or so before anyone botherd me.
"Gin," said his soft voice. I didn't want to open my eyes. It would hurt to see his painfully beautiful face. "are you o.k."
I opened my eyes. "Am I ok? What do you think Harry?" I asked him sourly. I just stared at him.
"Gin. I'm sorry." He sat in the chair beside me and took my hand. My whole body froze his touch though the hand he held remained warm
"Why are you dong this, Harry. It's only going to make it harder for us both when you turn away from me and go and fight Voldemort and you won't let me help so what's the point of me asking."
"I miss you so much Gin. Breaking up with you was my biggest regret." He squeezed my hand tighter.
"Harry, don't," I shook my head and tears began to fall down my face. "I miss you too, but don't. There's no point in kidding ourselves on for the next few days and then pretending like we have no feelings for each other. This would only work if you let me help you and spared the whole "protecting me" crap." I continued to look down.
"We should talk. Can I speak with you tonight?" He asked. I looked up and stared into his eyes.
"Harry I don't..."
"Please Gin"
"O.k" I agreed quickly before changing my mind.
"Great. I'll meet you in you room, tonight at ten thirtyish?"
"O.k" Before he walked away he gave me a peck on the cheek.

Chapter 3 Part 3- Later that night...

It was minuets till ten thirty. I was so nervous.
Why am I nervous? What's to be nervous about? I sat at the top of my bed staring at my clock on the bedside table. There was a light knock on the door. I breathed in and out three times before I proceded to the door and opened it. Harry smiled. I smiled back. "Gin" I stood in front of him smiling awkwardly waitng for him to say more. "Oh Gin" I opened the door wider and let him in. He stood grinning like a chesier cat. I leaned back against the door to close it. "Hi Harry."
"Ginny" he sighed. God, I wish he'd get on with it. Unexpectedly, he put his arms round my waist and picked me up and spun me round in a bone crushing hug. He put me down but didn't let me go. I looked at him and laughed. It felt good. We stood there cuddled together, foreheads touching. It was great. I hadn't felt this happy in a long time. His lips kissed my cheek. I weaved my hands into his hair and I held his face to mine. I turned my head to face his. He moved in closer and closed the tiny distance between us kissing me gently. His lips were soft and urgent against mine. I pulled myself tighter against him. His arms moved down my waist and over my hip. He pulled me up so he didn't have to bend down to kiss me. My legs wrapped tightly around his body. Harry walked over to my bed without breaking the kiss. He put me down gently on the soft sheets. We broke apart gasping for a breath. "I love you, Gin." He told me. I smiled and pulled him back to me. There was a bang on my room door.
"Ginerva Weasley, open this door!"

I also forgot to mention that in the first post ant the end of chapter 2, there is a major error when Ginny asks Hermionie where they stay ect. This was not supposed to be there. You see, the plan for the story changed, so please forget about that bit. Sorry.

You can edit your own post whenever you want to. If you want to fix something, change something, add or take from it. Just go to the post in question, click on the edit button at the bottom right side, then go into that window that opens up and make your changes. You don't have to put the reason if you don't want to. When you're done click save. And, wa la! you fixed it.

Chapter 4-Part 1

It was Ron. Harry rolled his eyes and walked over to the door. "Ron, leave them to talk!" I heard Hermionie tell him. Harry opened the door and Ron fell inside the room. I laughed at him. "You think it's funny, Ginny. Do you know what's funny? When he'll leave you again and you'll be heartbroken."
"Ronald!" He turned around to face Hermionie and she slaped him.
"What'd you do that for?" Ron asked
"You deserved it. How can you talk to your little sister like that?" Hermionie told him. She stormed up to her room
"Bugger of Ron! You obviously are too childish to understand anything!" Harry told him. Ron ignored Harry's comment and ran after Hermionie.
"If we only have days left together, I want to be with you and you only, Gin," he said as I got up and walked over to him. "Can't we just live in the moment?"
"Why not. I'll be waiting for you so you better come back whenever you can." I warned him
"I promise" He replied
"Now," I said to him pushing him against my room door, "where were we?" He laughed and held my head in hands and gazed into my eyes then kissed me softly. I moulded my body into his and we stayed like this for a long while.

Chapter 4 Part 2


"I should go up to bed now" It was after one in the morning.
"Don't go yet," I complained, "I'm much too comfertable" I said cuddling against him tighter. He had sat me on his lap. This way there was no space between us.
"Ron was saying your worried about your OWLs this year. Honestly, I wouldn't worry. They're not as hard as the ministry make them out to be." He said
"Yeah. Did you see the prophet though? They were completly critisiziing Hogwarts teacher and the teaching methods. I don't think they have any right to do so especially after last years intervention with Professor Umbridge. Plus they were comparing us with Beaubattons, which reminds me Gabrielle arrives tomorrow. " I said quite outraged.
"I seen a litttle bit in The Prophet but that newspaper is full of lies. I don't read it as much anymore. It just gets me angry," He said "Well they don't completly lie. We could be doing with a better DADA teacher!"
"Harry, you are amazing at Defence Against the Dark Arts. It's people like you, who should be teaching people like me." There was a light knock at the door. Mum peeped her head round my door.
"I think it's time to get to bed now, Ginny and you too, Harry. Remember, Fleur's parent's arrive in the morning and the last thing we need is you two getting up mid afternoon" She said in a hushed tone.
"Mum, can Harry stay in here tonight?" I asked her.
"Don't push it Ginny! It's already the early hours of the morning and quite frankly I've been nice enough to let you stay up this long." She tutted "I'll let you say goodnight but then it's straight to sleep Ginny and up to bed Harry."
"O.k Mrs.Weasley" Harry agreed politly
"Oh Harry." Mum shook her head, "It's Molly!"
"O.k, Molly" He smiled. Mum closed the door.
"I don't want you to go" I moaned.
"Be good Gin. I don't want to go either but I have to. I'm a guest in this house. I need to behave unlike some."
"Come down later." I pressed. He smiled a cheeky smile.
"What time?" He asked. I laughed and kisssed him.
"We'll continue this later." I said breaking away. He leaned in to kiss me again. I put a finger to his lips and shook my head. "If you want it, come and get it...in thirty minutes." I got off my bed and pulled him with me.
"I'll be here." He smiled.
"Oh and I can give you your birthday present."
"I thought you already gave me it." He said.
"What? When?" I asked puzzled trying to remember when he opened it earlier.
"Gin, you gave me you." He said gazing into my eyes.
"Aw Harry, You're hopelessly romantic. Now be back here soon" I said climbing into bed and getting comfy. He came over and tucked me in like a baby. I freed my arms from the covers and wrapped them around his neck when he gave me a kiss on my head. I turned my head to face his and kissed him on the lips. I was getting ahead of myself.
"What happend to 'in thirty minutes'. "
"Skrew that rule," and I reached for him. He put a finger to my lips and shook his head. "You'll get it in thirty minuets, Gin. I'll be quick"
"Fine then" I pouted
"Love you Gin" He said walking out the room. He turned around and winked at me.
"Love you too Harry" I said and I blew him a kiss.

Hello Sophie. I've read your post, and I'll make some comments as I go. This was very good, but Ron was very cruel with what he said. I know that he doesn't want to see Ginny hurt, and is just unable to say the right things. I love how you put this in. At least Ron has his priorities. I love the conversation you start part two with between Harry, and Ginny. I also loved this: This would have been a perfect place to leave the story till your next post, to my way of thinking. Am I going to have to have my hands over my eyes the next post? I don't go with kids sneaking around their parents back, and I'm not good with kids being in adult situations. I hope I haven't hurt your feelings, or discouraged you. You really do have a good story, and you are a talented young writer. I'll be watching for your next post.

Firstly, and this is fo all readers, please don not worry about hurting my feelings. All the comments you leave I take on board as constructive critisizim and that will help me in writing this fanfic and throughout life, in understanding others points of view.
Secondly, and Connie Dear, you will be pleased but Harry and Ginny are not about to do what I think your thinking, so first of all breathe. They do sneek about but, they have to learn that its wrong for them to do so themselves and I promise, they will eventually get found out. My mum would say the same. It may also please you to know that I am extreamly moral for a fourteen year old, (Katie will confirm that for you) so I wouldn't worry about the characters too much. They're in safe hands.
