Hi, Ariana here and this is my first fan fiction story on SnitchSeeker. I do not own the Harry Potter universe - it belongs to J.K. Rowling. Enjoy!

CHAPTER 1

"So...Gregory...Thank you for asking me out."
Goyle grunted. "Yeah, whatever."
Lavender twiddled a strand of hair between two fingers. "Ok. So, um, what's your favourite colour?"
Goyle groaned inwardly. Would she ever stop talking? "Black." He replied deeply.
Lavender grinned. "Ooh! Gothic! Black would bring out your eyes, really good. So, why do you like black?"
Goyle scrunched up his face. "I hate black."
Lavender was confused. "But you just said it was your favourite colour..." She said slowly.
Goyle rolled his eyes. "Well, it is. I just hate every other colour more."
Lavender laughed thinking it a joke. Goyle waited impatiently for her to stop.
"So you're in fifth year too? Hufflepuff, right?"
"Slytherin!" Barked Goyle. "And yeah I'm fifth year."

Lavender smiled waiting for him to talk. He was the one who had asked her out on their next trip to Hogsmeade. They sat there, sipping their butterbeers silently. She got up and sat beside him. "I'm c-cold." she pouted.

Goyle edged away from her. "You should have brought a jacket then." he snapped insensitively.
Lavender scowled but tried again. "Well, um...let's go for a walk, er, I'm not cold anymore."

Goyle nodded gruffly and started to wonder was it possible for her to get through a sentence with out any 'um' or 'er'. They strolled along Hogsmeade's streets. Draco Malfoy and Vincent Crabbe suddenly came out of the shop and crashed in to Lavender, knocking her over in to the snow.

"Watch where you're going you damned idiot!" Snapped Malfoy. Then looking up he saw Goyle. "I mean, sorry, my mistake." He and Crabbe scurried away, sniggering. Lavender composed herself. "Please help me up, Gregory. I need help."

Goyle sighed. He stood beside her and gripped her right arm tightly and yanked her to her feet. She ignored the pain and decided it was now or never. She stood on her tip-toes, clutched Goyle's collar and kissed his mouth. His breath was salty and his lips tasted like saffron and paprika. Lavender gently pulled away but he pulled her back kissing her back. They stood there for a few minutes.

Then a snowball hit Lavender's head. It was Pansy Parkinson who had thrown it. "Get out of here, you!" shouted Goyle. Pansy gasped and sprinted the other way.

Goyle and Lavender spent the remainder of the afternoon near the Shrieking Shack, snogging and talking. As it was time to go, Goyle looked as if he just remembered something. "Er...Lauren..."
"Lavender."
"Yeah, are you in any clubs?"
Lavender shook her head. She didn't know what he meant.
"Any, armies?"
Lavender giggled. "I'm a student, Greg, not a soldier."
Lavendar kissed his cheek and ran off to Parvati Patil, who was now trembling with eagerness for gossip.

By the time they were at the castle, Lavender and Parvati had come to a conclusion. Goyle was using Lavender to try and get information on the D.A. Lavender was hurt and before the houses split she marched up to Goyle and slapped his jaw. He called her name as she walked away but she just bit her lip untill it bled. She knew that blood was better than tears.

This is not at all what I expected.. But I don't even know what I expected!

It's amazingly done! Good job, I'll be eagerly waiting for an update!

Hmmmm.....interesting!!!!

I liked it but I'm still not sure about it!!

oh thanks for posting, I didn't even realise this was printed (yay!) Anyway, this is my follow up!!!


Lavendar had been noticably crestfallen since the event with Gregory Goyle. She wanted something to distract her- or someone. Parvati wasn't very symathetic but still, she was a distraction from Lavendar's misery.
One Saturday, close to Christmas, Lavendar was counting the snowflakes that fell. She turned around suddenly, as someone poked her back. It was Hermione Granger, a frizzy bookworm from her dorm.
"Are you alright?" Asked Hermione.
Lavendar shrugged slightly. "I suppose..." She sighed.
Hermione didn't look impatient or irritated like Parvati. She looked genuinely sorry. "Is it...is it about the thing with Goyle last week?"
Lavendar was shocked she knew. As if having read her mind, Hermione said, "Parvati told me." Lavendar groaned. If she told someone she didn't like why wouldn't she tell someone she did?
The two girls were alone in the common room. "I feel so thick!" Cried Lavendar. "I can NOT believe I thought he actually fancied me." Lavendar looked away quickly to hide the teardrop that was peeping out from her eye.
"Right. We are going to fix this." Declared Hermione.
"We?" Repeated Lavendar uncertainly and Hermione grasped her hand.
"We." Said Hermione.

The two girls marched through Hogwarts in search of Goyle. They soon found him with Crabbe and Malfoy, beating up a second year in the courtyard.
In anger, Hermione thumped Goyle on the back. Anxiously, the second year scampered off.
"What the hell do you think you're doing, you little b-" Goyle's voice trailed off as he caught sight of Lavendar. He picked at his thumbnail shyly. Lavendar couldn't meet his eye.
"Well, well, well..." Chuckled Malfoy. "If it isn't bucktooth and flowerbrain?" Crabbe sniggered but Goyle looked away.
Hermione drew her fist back and hastily, Malfoy swerved. "You're not doing that again." He shouted and Crabbe grabbed Lavendar's wrists and Malfoy grabbed Hermione's wrists and twisted them slightly. Hermione flinched but said nothing. They tried to pull it away but Crabbe and Malfoy yanked pulling them to the ground.
"Go on!" Jeered Malfoy. "Hit her! Ah, c'mon, Crabbe show him how!" Crabbe snatched some of Lavendars hair and pulled making her gasp. Malfoy than put his thumb on one cheek and his forfinger on the other and pinched Hermione's face. She struggled a bit trying to release her wrist.
"GO ON, GOYLE!" Crabbe shouted. Goyle put one hand behind Lavendar's hand and drew back the other. Lavendar closed her eyes, waiting for the pain but instead of a punch, a kiss met her lips. It was as good as the first, with many flavours. She felt crabbe release her hair, probably in shock. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Hermione whip out her wand and stupefy Malfoy and Crabbe. They flew backwards and Hermione stared at Lavendar and Goyle.
Lavendar thought hard. This was so good but why should she forgive him..but it was so good! It was heart against brain. Heart against brain. Which?

As Hermione and Lavendar were about to enter the common room, Lavendar had a thought. "Hermione, is it alright if we don't tell anyone about this, not even Harry and Ron? I'm a bit embarassed and that."
Hermione looked slightly crestfallen that she wouldn't be able to broadcast her defeat over Malfoy and Crabbe but she overlooked it. "I promise." Hermione vowed. "And I doubt any of the toads will say either." Hermione then crouched through the tunnel.
As Lavendar saw the other Gryffindor students living there daily lives, some noticing her entrance, others not. As she smiled at those who did, she was pleased she had chose her brain.

Parvati Patal was ticked off. Her best friend was too busy being grateful about life to notice her. She wouldn't even gossip. In fact, when Parvati made a joke about Hermone Granger's frizzy hair (something Lavendar usually found hilarious) Lavendar went all stiff and said Parvati was being stupid and mean.
Parvati longed for someone else but no-one other than Lavendar was much a fan of her. She considered using the chocolate frog cards her and Padma, her twin, got for their eleventh birthday to contact Padma but decided against it.
Lavendar was sooo busy being smitten with Ron Weasley, a poor redhead who was levels below Lavendar's standards, she forgot to remember he was not her boyfriend.
That was why Parvati arranged a double blind date. Two Slytherins their age that Pansy Parkinson had told her were 'divinely clever and gorgeous'.
"LaLa," Paravti moaned in an annoyingly chirpy manner.
Lavendar turned around to look at Parvati. Parvati spotted a grinning photograph of Ron on Lavendar's lap. Lavendar probably had had her brother, Basil, steal it.
"What?" Replied Lavendar drily.
"Guess what I did!!!"
"Nah, I'll just wait for you to tell me."
Parvati was not distraught by Lavendar's dullness. "Ok, I set us up on a double date!"
"With Ron for me and... Dean Thomas for you? You liked him in Third Year..."
Paravti blushed. She thought Lavendar had forgotten. "No, not Dean Thomas for me." She snapped. "And not that grimy ginge 'n' tonic for you either. I set us up on a blind date."
Lavendar leaped to her feet. "WHAT?!" She shouted. "NO! No, you know I like, um, moonstones." She looked around to make sure evryone thought that was what she liked. She lowered her voice. "You know I like Ron!"
Parvati tossed a strand of thick ebony hair behind her shoulder. "Don't be daft, LaLa. Isn't obvious he's taken? That frizzy swotty brunette is all over him. Her-Mee-Own?"
"Hermione doesn't like Ron!" Scoffed Lavendar flicking her wrist, as if to swat the idea away.
'No?" Parvati mused. "You must know, LaLa, everyone does. She's always fixing his collar, and rubbing stains off his clothes and smoothening his red hair." Parvati spoke as if these were all criminal offenses.
"STOP CALLING ME LALA!" Shrieked Lavendar. "JUST STOP. And I'll have you know I won't be going on a date with you and two strange boys, not now, not EVER!"

Parvati held Lavendar's upper arm and pulled her across the grounds and to the darkest corner off the North Courtyard. Parvati spread a tartan blanket, and sat down. On her lap was a basket from which she took a powerful candle, crockey, cuttlery and food which ironically happened to be the exact same as the dinner eaten yesterday night in the Great Hall.
After ten minutes waiting, two figures showed up in the courtyard. As they approached the girls, Lavendar could see their faces.
The first was Vincent Crabbe, the second Gregory Goyle.

OHHHH! That is the best, and Lavender, you and Gregory foreeever!

Lavendar stood up and got ready to leave. Even Parvati looked disheartened.
Goyle stepped forward. "Laven-"
Lavendar wouldn't hear it. "Shut up, Goyle. Go snog Milicant Bulstrode, then kneel before Draco Malfoy, learn something, then go beat up-"
Goyle grabbed Lavendar's arms and pulled her to his height. He then kissed her like the first time.
Lavendar tried to pull back but he put hi hand behind her head. "MMMmmm!!!" She screamed trying to pull away.
Eventually he finished and she jumped down. With full force, she slapped his grinning face. "Parvati, I'm goi-" She turned to see Parvati and Crabbe busy snogging. She sighed and walked away.
Goyle followed her. "Lavendar, why are you mad at me? I thought you liked me... I like you." He was genuine.
Lavendar looked at him. For a second, she loved him. she loved his quirky smile and round eyes and button nose and curly hair.
But the second passed and she realised that.
"Gregory," She didn't correct herself. "Gregory I like you. I like you a lot."
"Well that settles it then!" Announced Goyle and bent down and puckered his lips.
Lavendar pushed him away.
"I wasn't finished. I like you, .but I'll get over you"

AWWW! Poor Goyle!! Er Gregory.. Lavender is such a meanie!
