Harry's First Summer at Camp Half-Blood

Chapter 1

Percy's POV

I woke up with a start, my best friend Grover was shaking me. Grover by the way is a saytr. "What is it? It's only," I looked down at my watch that my half-brother Tyson had made for me, "Half-past eight!"

Grover shook his head, "Yeah, but you have to come. Chiron has called a council, quick!" and on that note, he trotted out of the room.

I pulled my trousers on, and wriggled into my top, then as quick as possible ran out of the door to the Big House.

"Ah, my dear boy," Chiron said from his wheelchair. "Come and sit down, Mr. D. will be here as soon as possible, I think."

So I walked over to him and sat next to Annabeth and Clarisse. "What took you so long Seaweed Brain, we've already started!" exclaimed Annabeth.

Although we act like we don't get on half of the time, Annabeth and I are really good friends, maybe even more sometimes!

"As I was saying," Chiron continued, "Grover is going to be off to England, to meet a couple of new half-bloods; he will be back on Tuesday." Grover stood there and nodded, "And that is why we need somebody to go with him and collect them, any volunteers?"

To everyone's supprise it was Clarisse who raised her hand up fastest, followed by me and Annabeth.

"What? Just because Ares is my dad doesn't mean that I can't go and meet some new half-bloods. They might be my half- brother or sister," Clarisse stated.

We all looked shocked but Chiron nodded, "Very well then. Grover and Clarisse will go and collect these new campers."

I went out to the sword arena after that. I beat the Hermes campers easily, then my next class was...ARCHERY!!!!!! I nearly killed one of Apollos kids, not purpously, but i shot him in the arm!

Then the time came for Grover and Clarisse to leave. Grover had his fake feet on and his cap, and Clarisse had her sword swung over her back. They hiked up Half-Blood Hill and walked out onto the main road. They would be back in about two days time with even more new campers. They were apparently called Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger!

Harry's POV


We were waiting at the airport for about two days! I couldn't believe it! The term at Hogwarts would start soon. And then I heard a voice, an American, call out my name. It must have been the helper Grover. He walked in a funny way, and had a girl at his side. She looked tough, her hair was cut short and she had something slung over her back. I couldn't make out what it was as it looked fuzzy, like a cross between a sword and a baseball bat.

They walked over to us and announced themselves as Grover (as I expected) and Clarisse. I didn't like the look of Clarisse, and I don't think that she liked me! They helped us with our bags and Ron fell over.

"Come on Ron, it's not for that long, and Hermione is with us anyway. It will be fun!" But he didn't look like he believed me and I didn't really believe me!

I absolutely hated the plane ride over. Ron looked like he loved it, and Hermione was sat behind us reading a book, as always! Then we finally touched the ground, I made a huge sigh of relief although I loved playing Quidditch, I found out that I hated hights!

We were taken to a car. There was a driver wearing a suit sitting in front whilst Ron, Hermione, Clarisse, Grover and I all squeezed into the back.
We drove along country roads until we finally came to some life, although the only life that I could see was strawberries! The driver drove up to the bottom of the hill, and opened the doors. I was sure that I could see an eye at the back of his neck but as soon as I blinked, it disappeared.
We carried our bags up the hill to a gate. There was a load of writing above it, and it took me a few minuets to decipher but I finally worked it out. It said Half-Blood Hill!

Interesting start, I'd like to read more!

A tip though, when you change POV's, mark it out by saying whose POV it's changing too.

Chapter Two



Percy’s POV


I was in the sword arena when I heard Grover call my name, I ran to him, “G-Man! How are you? Where are the new campers?”

“Oh, they are in the Big House, Chiron is explaining it all to them, one of them, Harry looks a lot like you, you know. Anyway has everybody got on well without me?” he asked,

“Of course! Glad you are back!” I replied and we walked off to the Big House.

Just as we got there, I saw Chiron walking out with the three new kids, they were about my age, and one looked surprisingly like me, a girl with bushy hair and a ginger haired boy. They all walked by Chiron’s side, swinging their arms as they walked as if they had just killed Kronos!

I saw Annabeth talking to the girl; I walked over, “Hi, I'm Percy Jackson, and you are?”

“I'm Hermione Granger, over there are my friends Ron Weasley and Harry Potter. We are wizards, well I'm a witch but that doesn’t really matter, but apparently we are also demi-gods, what ever that means. I have just been talking to Annabeth here, she says that she is a daughter of Athena, and that she is busy remodelling Olympus, that is now in America.” She replied, I had no idea that one girl could talk so much, other than Annabeth,

“So have you met Clarisse?” I asked, trying to break the silence,

“If you mean the girl who came with Grover to pick us up, then yes, she is really arrogant!”

I looked at Annabeth, I had a feeling that Hermione got on her nerves.

Harry’s POV

I looked across the Archery Court to see Percy talking to Hermione and the girl who said that she was called Annabeth, she seemed nice enough, but this Percy fellow, well he looked too much like me, I didn’t like it.

I called him over, I had to get to know him, he ran over, ducking the arrows, he had some skill I have to admit, but I doubt that he would have been able to kill Voldemort; he looked scary when he ran, but Ron said that I looked like that too! I didn’t like the way he looked at me, it was stern but friendly at the same time. “What’s up?” he asked,

“Nothing, why?”

“Well you did call me over.”

“Oh yeah, well, hi nice to meet you, I'm Harry Potter, you must be Percy Jackson,” he nodded, “I hear that you are pretty brave, are you?”

“Well you heard right,” he replied, I didn’t believe him though, “I killed the most powerful Titan, Kronos, have you done that?” I couldn’t believe it, here was somebody asking me if I was brave,

“Well, no, but I have killed Voldemort, the most evil wizard ever, he killed my parents and loads of people, I bet that this Kronos was only a little bit bad!”

His face was getting red, “Kronos killed loads of people, and he put the whole city of Manhattan to sleep so he could invade, and he turned demi-gods against the gods, and nearly killed everybody here! So yeah, I think that he was quite bad!” I hated this Percy person, then he stared above my head,
“What?” I demanded, “What tell me!”

“I know that you don’t like me, but I think that we are going to get to know each other a little bit better, you’re my half brother!”

Please tell me what you thought.

This is a great story idea!! I love Harry Potter and Percy Jackson stories, so this is the best of both worlds for me. One thing that might make it better, though, is not to use so many run-on sentences. But it's really good so far!

Great chapter but the paragraphing changed and it makes it difficult to read. Why isn't it double spacing like the first chapter?

Anyway, I'm now wondering if the resemblance between Harry and Percy means anything. I'm willing to bet Harry will be a son of Poseidon.

Chapter Three
Percy’s POV

Oh my gods! Harry Potter is my half brother, and we absolutely hate each other, but then I do have to admit, he does look a lot like me. I saw Annabeth in the Sword Arena, I ran over to her, she was with Hermione, “Annabeth,” I shouted, “Annabeth, Harry is my half-brother!”

Hermione’s face went pale, “What! Really?”

“Yeah, really, there was the mark of Poseidon over his head, I'm pretty sure that he is!” I told her,

“Anyway, we need to get to the Big House, now, come on!” Annabeth muttered, we followed her there, picking up Grover, Ron, and Harry on the way.

As we got to the Big House I saw Chiron sitting in his wheel chair, but as soon as he saw us, he stood up, “Ah, heroes, you have come as I asked, sit down all of you,” we sat down at the table we have the head councillors meetings at, around the table there were all of the usual people and Ron, Harry and Hermione. “Now, I have been told that one of you has been claimed, who was it Percy?”

“Harry Potter, sir, he was claimed by Poseidon.” I said, Harry looked at me as if to say, that’s so unfair.

“Well then Harry must move into his new cabin right away.” Chiron told us, “But first, we need to see……” his voice trailed off, he stared above Hermione’s head, “All hail Hermione Granger, daughter of Athena, goddess of wisdom and battle.”

Harry’s POV
Well that was really unexpected, I was a son of Poseidon, and Hermione was a daughter of Athena. What I really thought was odd was that I was Poseidon’s son, but I didn’t really like water that much, I mean I could swim but not really well. Even when the Tri Wizard Cup was on, I still needed gillyweed, I couldn’t be a son of Poseidon, I just seemed wrong.

I wondered who Ron would be the son or daughter of, he wasn’t strong and good at building so we could rule out Hephaestus, not too bright, so Athena was gone, I didn’t think that he could swim, he was good on a broomstick, but I didn’t know what else he was good at that involved heights, he was fine on the plane as well, so maybe a son of that Zeus person, but according to Percy we would find out soon enough.

I didn’t think that I was a perfect son of Poseidon but I was okay.

I gathered all my things and headed to the Poseidon cabin, my new home.

Chapter Four
Percy’s POV

Harry arrived at the Poseidon Cabin really early today, but I suppose that it’s to do with him living in England.

He keeps going on about this Mouldy guy that he killed, “Wow, a guy called Mouldy must have been really scary!” I told him once,

“He was called Voldemort, if you must know, and he nearly killed my whole school before I stopped him! Anyway I don’t know how you got rid of Kronos; he sounds far too, what’s the word, powerful for you to kill!” he said to me,

“My friend, Luke, sacrificed himself to save us all, I doubt that anybody else could do that, I was invincible so I couldn’t be killed.” I decided that I would leave it because he was just getting too annoying, “Unpack your stuff, then meet me in the sword arena.” I told him then turned swiftly and left.

Harry arrived in the sword arena about an hour after I told him to meet me so I spent almost all of my time practicing with Clarisse!

When he finally arrived we started to kit him out with his equipment, a helmet, armour (it was too big for him), and a sword, he was so picky, he wanted to use his wand! I mean how on Earth could he fight with a wand?

He chose one in the end that was long and looked well balanced in his hand.

“Hold your sword in your right hand Harry, okay,” I told him, “Now watch me, this was one of the first moves that I learned, its quite hard,” I showed him how to disarm your opponent, “Now try it on me.” He was quite good for a beginner, but did fail to make it clatter out of my hand, “Close but try to be quicker.”

Harry looked at me, I knew that he didn’t really like me, but I could deal with it.

“Why do you hate me so much Harry? What have I ever done to you?” I asked, I couldn’t keep those questions inside of me for so long,

“I don’t hate you, I just find you really annoying, and it’s really different!” he told me,

“Well,” I said, “Can't we just get along sort of then?”

“I suppose we could, lets start again. Hello my name is Harry Potter, what is yours?”

“Hello Harry Potter, my name is Percy Jackson, nice to meet you!” I said, we carried on getting to know each other for quite a while, then it was time to go to the rock climbing wall.


Annabeth’s POV


I was getting along well with Hermione, she was really clever, and knew about building and that sort of stuff, we were really similar.

Chapter Five
Annabeth’s POV



Well now she was really getting annoying, sprouting facts about her school Hogwarts, and how using magic was easier and more effective than a sword! I mean, come on! That’s not right; using a sword takes skill, unlike magic!

We went to the Sword arena so that I could show her how to use a sword.

She got the hang of after nearly killing Clarisse! “What did you do that for?” yelled Clarisse,

“Sorry,” replied Hermione, in a small voice, then all of a sudden Grover came running over as fast as he could,

“…Ron…claimed…quick…come one!” he said, it was such a blur the next bit, Hermione disappeared, and I chased after Grover.

We got to the Big House where Ron was being talked to by Chiron, he looked really serious, “Chiron, I just heard, who is Ron’s parent then?” I asked because I seriously had no idea,

“Annabeth, calm down, now where is Hermione?” he asked,

“She sort of…disappeared, I don’t know where she went though, it wasn’t Kronos was it?” I asked worriedly,

“Don’t be stupid Annabeth,” said Ron, “She only disaperated, ah, here she is,”

And to my surprise she appeared next to him with Harry next to her, “So, who is it then Ron?” she asked,

“It is… who was it again?” he asked Chiron,

“Zeus, silly boy, yes it is Zeus!” I could not speak, a son of Zeus! Wow, that was rare!

Ron’s POV

So I was a son of this Zeus fellow then, it seemed cool, but one thing I didn’t get, Zeus was the god of the sky and well I wasn’t the best flyer that was Harry. But maybe I had a different skill, I would find out soon enough, so said Chiron, so I looked forward to that.

I went to the sword arena; Harry was standing there, killing the straw figure that everybody practiced on, “Hey Harry, what’s up?” I asked him; because he was obviously he was not happy.

“I fell asleep before and had a dream, about Voldemort.” He said sadly, I looked at him,

“You-Know-Who, not his name please. But are you sure it was him, I mean your scar didn’t hut did it?”

“Yes it did, he’s back and he said that he needed two people this time, I don’t like it though and I think that I know who he wants, I just hope that I am wrong, but I always am.” He said trying to smile,

“Don’t worry, me and Hermione will help you, and I am sure that Percy, Annabeth and Grover will too,” I told him, trying to cheer him up,

“I think that we will have to work together on this one, from what I heard, it was me and Percy he wanted to get, so I don’t think that they will stick by me.” He said, “And he was talking to someone too, it was a boy, he was blonde and when he turned around, I saw his face and it had a huge scar running down it, and his eyes were gold! I have never met anybody like that before, have you?”

“No, I don’t think so, but maybe we should go and tell Chiron about it,” I asked him,

“No, he will not help us, only interfere, we need to tell Percy, he might know what to do.” He said back so we went off to find Percy.

Great chapter overall. But you need to edit where it says "Harry's POV" to "Ron's POV" other than that it was amazing.

Yeah, its Luke, the reason he is serving voldemort is because it is set after the last olympian, but Luke is a ghost, sort of, you will find out soon. sorry if its a bit confusing.

So, What in the world is Voldemort doing alive again??? Or is he ghosty like Luke?

Chapter Six
Harry’s POV

We ran to the Poseidon cabin, where we found Percy, he was packing his bags, “Where are you going Percy?” I asked,

“I need to get a quest; I’m off to see my friend, the camps Oracle, Rachel.” He replied,

“Well before you go, I need to tell you something,” I blurted out, “Remember the wizard I told you about, Voldemort, well he's come back!”

“Hold on, rewind this a bit, you told me that he was dead!”

“Yeah, I did, but he's come back! And this time, he doesn’t want just me, he wants you too!”

His face fell, “Why?” he asked, I didn’t know how to answer back, but then I remembered the boy with the golden eyes,

“You told me that you killed Kronos didn’t you?”

“Of course, why?”

“Well, you said about a guy called Luke, didn’t you?”

“Yes, but…” he paused, “Did you see a boy with blonde hair and golden eyes?”

“Yes I did,” I told him, I didn’t know how to react,

“Then I have to go on a quest, Kronos is back!”

Annabeth’s POV

I was talking to Hermione, taking her through the sword steps, when I heard Percy calling me, he ran right past Chiron, past Clarisse and straight to me, “Kronos… is back, Harry saw him, he had a dream, also that wizard, Voldemort is too, but KRONOS IS BACK!!!” he shouted,

“What, your joking aren’t you Percy?” I asked, he couldn’t be back,

“Yep, Harry said so, but I had a dream last night too, Luke was alive, but Kronos was still in him, but he was talking to a man, who looked like a snake!”

“What! Voldemort is alive? That can't be right, we killed him!” Hermione said butting in, and then Harry and Ron came running over,

“Hermione, he's back!!!” Ron shouted,

“I heard, we have to tell Dumbledore, he will know what to do, Harry where’s Hedwig?” she asked,

“Still at Hogwarts, I didn’t bring him, but maybe… Percy, do you have an owl?” He asked,

“No, why would we? We need to tell Chiron, he will help.” Said Percy, “He's over there,”

We all ran up to him, Grover came running towards us too, he must have heard about Kronos, “Chiron, we need a quest, now!” he said,

“What? Slow down hero’s, now, what is happening?” Chiron asked us in a fatherly way,

“Chiron, Kronos is back! And so is the most evil wizard of all time, Voldemort, we need a quest!” I explained as calmly as I could,

“Oh, right, well, you are going to have to find Rachel, I haven’t seen her for days.” He tried to keep calm but in his voice you could hear the panic, “I am going to go and inform the gods about this.” And he walked off leaving us all standing,

“We need to find Rachel, and maybe see if we can tell the gods ourselves, we can use Iris messaging,” I said, thinking of a plan, “Come on!”

Best chapter yet! You're doing a really good job at writing this. Keep up with it. And I would read the Harry potter and Doctor Who crossover you have, but I don't know a thing about Doctor Who. I'm sure that one is just as good as this one.
