Father and Daughter? Um, No Not Quite - Sa13+ Thanks to Yaya for making the beautiful banner! Father and Daughter? Um, No Not Quite - Sa13+ SPOILER!!: Chapter Guide 1) I give credit to the most amazing J.K. Rowling for all things magical. 2) 3) I want to credit Syd, -Bambi-, for kind of giving me the inspiration to continue writing when I had kind of abandoned this piece before the first chapter was finished... 4) And helped me figure out what to title this... 5) I'm Dee, and I'm making it my New Year's Resolution to stick to a writing project, and this has been it. I have developed this plot that I think, as it's read, it will be quite interesting and entertaining. Reaching out to grab his quill and ink pot, the old man gave a struggled cough. Pulling the quill and ink towards his old and very ill body he tore a piece of parchment off the end of a scroll. Scratching out a quick message he signed his name. After sitting at the large oak desk for a few minutes the man found barely enough strength to walk the short distance to the window where his plain everyday owl sat, leg outstretched, ready for the man to tie the now folded parchment to its leg and send it off on his way. Fumbling a few minutes the man finally got the message attached. “To Severus.” He rasped out at his owl before it disappeared out the window. Seeing the owl gone, the man decided it was time to lay down, flicked his wand to shut the curtains far enough for the room to be dark but left enough light for him to see where his bed was. He carefully sat down giving a groan and laid down on his back, closing his eyes as he let out a sigh. Flashback A tall lanky twenty year old with black hair lay on the ground gasping for breath as he bleeds to death. He reached his hand out towards what he thought was his wand, grasping his hand around the thin piece of wood he pulled it towards his body. Upon closer inspection he found that it was just a twig. Lying on his back, the young man tried to labor his breathing, hoping that he’d bring around enough brain function he’d be able to do wandless magic to get himself functioning enough to apparate out of the lone field. His chest gave a sharp pain and he let out a strangled yelp as he clutched his chest. Chest hurting so badly, there were painful tears coming from his eyes, something that the man wasn’t too worried about people seeing considering the pain he was in and that he was most likely going to die right there on the spot. The man’s breathing began to slow down, his eyes closing slowly as his body started to become limp. Pop. Another man, several years older was there kneeling over the almost dead man. “I refuse to let you die Severus.” The man determinedly told the man as he began to put spells on him to at least prolong his death until he could get him home. “I’ll die before you do.” He murmured between casting a range of spells. Deciding that he had done as much as he could for now, and that it was too dangerous to be out in the open, the older man gripped other man’s forearm tightly. Pop. They were gone. |

Thanks for reading! <3 Dee I will be updating soon, thanks for reading! <3 Dee ______ Edit: I decided since it's typed and now proofed, that I'll go ahead and post it tonight. <3 Dee Chapter 2 Severus had opted to spend most of his summer at Hogwarts. He was attempting to rearrange and clean out the dungeons, by hand, though he knew that it wouldn’t last long before he pulled his wand out. He had became distracted over the last school term with things he had rather have not too been distracted over and hadn’t put the whip down as hard as he usually would have on his students to keep his dungeons clean. And it seemed like it was going to be a stress reliever…for all of five seconds. Standing there on a ladder in his storage cupboard where he kept ingredients for the worthless brats he taught to use, he pulled several jars into his arms and backed his way down from the ladder heading back out to where the desks where. Setting down the jars he turned back and began to repeat the step as a small tawny owl flew into his dungeon. Halfway down the steps, the bird came into contact with the potions master causing him to jolt to the side, throwing his hands up, dropping all of the jars he was just holding onto the floor. Unfortunate for the owl, it hadn’t been the first time he had done similar things to Severus before, and landed cautiously on the man’s shoulder as he climbed off of the later long enough to take the note off the owl before it flew away. Severus rolled his eyes at the owl, it had been several years since the owl had last came to him with a note from his friend, the man he basically considered his brother, but the owl still hadn’t enough common since to NOT fly into people. Severus gave a sigh of annoyance and opened the small note. He read it over several times, swallowing hard as he read it one last time. M. Eastwood Severus fought the urge of crumpling the note up and burning, it but instead tucked it away inside his shirt pocket. He had a feeling he might need it in the future as evidence. Pulling his wand out, he waved it, restoring the jars but leaving them sit on the floor; abandoning his cleaning efforts for the time being he pocketed his wand and took a seat at his desk. Staring out to the desks in front of him, empty of students, he couldn’t help but remember what had happened all those years ago, the only thing he could think of was waking up lying on a dining room table and then blacking out once again. Flashback Severus lay on the dining room table on his back; his breathing had begun to regulate itself back to a decent pace. It was enough that it calmed the old man down enough to focus in on helping his friend. The old man had his wand and was murmuring spells attempting to heal up the large gash on his abdomen, not really caring about the not-as-deep gash on one of his legs. The old man was kind of put at ease with Severus being unconscious at the moment, if he had been conscious he would have been ordering the old man which spells to use. Shaking his head he continued on with his hard working of healing his close friend. He was still breathing, so he was doing something right. Severus felt another pang in his chest, it hurt enough that he woke up out of his unconsciousness to give a strangled yell as he rolled over in pain on the table, grasping his chest. He said a few choice words that the old man narrowed his eyes the man before he spoke. “Calm down Severus.” He told him in a stern manner. “You won’t die. Not yet at least.” He added on as an afterthought. “Move your arm.” He commanded next as he moved Severus’ arm himself and pointed his wand directly at his heart, muttered a couple spells, and returned back to the gash that was still bleeding. “Marcus, if they find out you’ve helped me, they’ll kill you.” Severus managed to speak. His head began hurting, but it wasn’t near the pain that he was now focusing on, the gash on his abdomen. He squirmed slightly at the intense pain as he attempted to think about had happened. “Stop thinking.” Marcus ordered in a loud voice as the door to the kitchen swung open with a house elf finding its way through the door with some difficulty as it carried a large platter. “Master.” The elf greeted. “I have what you wished Gibton to get for master.” Gibton said as he placed the platter on the far end of the table, far enough out of sight of Severus. “Thank you Gibton. Stay out of the way, but don’t leave.” He ordered as he moved to the platter. He picked up a vial of purple liquid, a sleeping draught. “He we go Severus.” He said as he uncorked the vial and placed a hand behind Severus’ neck. “What’s this?” Severus asked looking at the vial with concern, he trusted his friend, but he at least wanted to know what it was. “Sleep tight. Don’t let the Acromantulas get you.” Marcus chuckled slightly as he drained the purple fluid into Severus mouth before he could resist it. Sticking his arm out to the side, he waited until Gibton took the vial from his hand before giving Severus a pat on the cheek. Marcus watched as Severus’ eyes became droopy as he fought to keep them open. He had opened his mouth to speak, but closed it instead of speaking. Soon after, his eyes closed, sending him into a deep sleep. Marcus turned back to platter, taking the large bowl of water from it and wiping the gashes clean. “Oh dear Merlin, what a handful.” He said as he continued to work on his friend. |

Thanks for readingg. :) <3 Dee AN: This one is kind of short, sorry in advance. But it is my favorite thus far, and I hope you all enjoy it as well. The figure of a fifteen year old girl with long coal black hair lay in a twin sized bed near an open window. It was pitch black outside in the early hours of the morning when the girl awoke with a start. Sitting up straight in her bed, she could sense something wasn’t right. Jumping from her bed she scrambled to her door where she threw it open with a bang as it hit the wall in the process. Though the small one stor house was pitch black, the teen knew exactly where she was going as she ran across the house to her father’s study. Coming closer to the room her pace slowed, but her heart continued race. She didn’t pause at the door less doorway, as she rushed to the bedside table where she turned the lamp on. Looking at her father in his bed, she refused to let the hot tears that were forming in her eyes roll down her face as she watched him struggle to keep breathing. “Addie.” He rasped out at the sight of her. “You’re hair is messed up.” He struggled to say. She gave the old man an affectionate smile as she sat down on the edge of his bed. “I know Papa.” She told him, taking his hand into the two small hands of her own. He was always giving her trouble about her hair, whether it looked good or bad, it was his thing to take a jab at, and it never really bothered her. “What do you want me to do?” She asked with concern written all over her face. “Nothing.” He said as simple as he could with a cough. “It is time for me to go, I’m afraid.” He told her before a coughing fit took over. The girl stood slightly, propping the man up on his pillows so he wasn’t lying flat. “Addison, get the locked box.” He commanded as he raised his arm in the general direction, though he knew Addison knew exactly where the box was located. Addison moved to the large oak desk, where she sat herself cautiously on the swivel chair as she opened the bottom most drawer and pulled out the small box that she had always been curious about. It was the one of the few things that Addison had been told not to touch or worry about when she was a child. Holding the oak box to her chest, careful to not drop it as she moved the small space back over to be beside she dropped to her knees beside the bed and carefully placed the box beside the old man’s body. “You’ll find everything you need in there.” He told her as he reached his hand up to her face and patted her cheek. “I love you Addison. Never forget it.” He told her quietly as his hand dropped down to the bed. As his breathing slowly began to slow down, Addison gripped onto his hand internally begging him not to go. “I love you too.” She cried out as she watched the old man take his last and final breath. “And you never forget it.” She whispered as she gave his hand a squeeze. She sat there on her knees, holding onto his hand trying will herself to let go and open the box. Finally, she pulled her small pale hand from the old man’s hand and picked up the box. The next thing Addison knew, she was spinning in circles, and everything became black. |

Chapter 4 AN: I was just going to edit my last post to put in Chapter 4, but with so many replies I had to make to my awesome readers, I decided that it'd be far too long, thus, I decided I'd go ahead and double post, so it's not as long looking. Addison finally regained her vision when her feet hit the cold stone floor of a Hogwarts dungeon. Though she couldn’t quite see anything in the darkness of the dungeon in the early morning, she could feel her feet on the stone floor and knew without a doubt that she was in the dungeons of the place she called home for more months out of the year than she was at her real home. Thinking of home and what she had just witnessed, the death of the only person who ever really cared for her, the only person who knew the real Addison Eastwood, she mentally told herself to take a deep breath to keep from crying, but it did no use. The next thing she knew she was on her knees curled up in a small ball crying. Her father had died in front of her; he was the only person she trusted. Addison didn’t have a clue where she would be sent to, she had no living relatives. She sat there in a ball, crying until the lights came on. Severus Snape stood in the doorway of the dungeon from the secret passage way that led directly to his living quarters, black socks on his feet and black night robe tied tightly around his body with his green and black pajamas on underneath. He took in a deep breath; this couldn’t have come at a worse time. His forearm gave a twitch but he refused to touch it. “Get up off my dungeon floor Eastwood.” He barked at her, annoyance showing through. He moved out of the doorway as he let it seal itself over to look like the rest of the dungeon wall. He stood a few feet away from the crying girl, looking down at her with narrowed eyes. Letting a minute and a half past, a minute and a half too long for Severus, without a sound besides the sobs of Addison he decided that if he wasn’t going to wait around for the crying to cease. Clearing his throat, Severus tapped his foot, “You can sleep on the floor if you wish. Clean up after yourself.” He told her before he turned and headed towards the special spot on the wall where he waved his wand. Hearing his words over her crying, Addison’s body tensed up as she fully realized where she was and who was speaking to her. She looked up as he turned back to say something. “I don’t know how you know him.” She started, “But he obviously saved your life once or twice for me to be here. Show some remorse Snape.” She spat out as she stood up. “You don’t know what you’re talking about.” Severus yelled at her from across the room, his annoyance was now turning into anger. He took a few steps back towards Addison. “Pick up your mess.” He told her pointing to the box and its spilled contents. Noticing the box on the floor with the contents spilled around it, Addison began to gather the pieces of parchment and small belongings and put them back into their box. Feeling the odd need to read the last note she had picked up she unfolded it. Her anger continued to boil as she stood up tall and shoved the note into Severus’ chest. “I suppose you know all about this?” She questioned him as he caught the note before it fell to the floor. Holding it up the the light he read it quickly, realizing that he was slowly losing the upper hand in this battle. “We’ll talk in the morning. Go to sleep.” He barked at her as he took the box from her hands, which was not an easy task seeing as Addison refused to want to let go of it. “Stay out of my desk.” He added on. Placing the note into the box as he walked once more back to the doorway Severus needed to see Albus, but he wasn’t going to wake him up this early. “Excuse me.” Addison bit back. “The box is mine.” She snarled at him as she followed behind him. She took a small step back when he turned to face her. “Don’t worry about it.” He told her with a twisted smile. “Go to bed.” He told her once more as he made the box disappear from sight. “Where, on a desk?” She questioned him with force. He shrugged his shoulders waved his wand as if to say, “Sure, why not?”, making a blanket and pillow appear before he stepped into the passageway and let the wall seal over. |
