“Is this what you spend your time doing, you know, opposed to homework?” I heard her voice before I saw her, and it was strange to hear these words, when I wasn’t being told off. She’d sat down to my right. “I’m really a genius, aren’t I?” I smirked at the girl who had spoke. She had a light shade of brown hair, and her eyes were a deep sparkling blue. “I thought so.” She chuckled. “I’m Clarisa, from Spain,” she said, with a grin. “I’m Sirius,” I said. “This is Remus, and James.” I said. “Oh, and that’s Peter.” I’d forgotten about him, as he looked pretty small, for some reason. Remus and James both said hello to Clarisa, and Peter squeaked something that no one understood. “Oh, and Remus here will just be dying to know all about your school in Spain and everything.” James added, rolling his eyes at this. “Why do I get the feeling that you two aren’t as interested?” Clarisa smiled as she said this, looking between Remus, who seemed, like James said, dying to know, but restraining himself, to James and me, and we both just looked bored. “They’re more concerned with the food and girls,” Remus said before either of us could say anything, and now he rolled his eyes at us. “There goes our reputation,” James said, with a mock sigh. “James, that is our reputation.” I said, going along with it. But it was true. Clarisa looked amused at our banter. “I guess I might come in handy, then.” She teased lightly. Her long fingers ran through her brown hair, and she started to tell Remus about Spain, and about her magic school, and Remus looked like he was trying to memorise everything she said. But even I listened, and felt myself get interested. If it had been anyone else it would’ve been boring, but it was more that I found myself interested in Clarisa talking, I knew I wasn’t really that interested in what she was talking about. I could see, too, that James was having much the same reaction. I wondered if there were Spanish Veela’s, but I knew that even if that were so, Clarisa was no Veela. It was not a charm that made her seem interesting, though she was beautiful. After a while, she stopped talking and looked around at us. “I could go on about Spain forever, though, you guys should tell me about Hogwarts. I’m here all year, after all.” Clarisa said. “We’re in, uh, Gryffindor, right?” “You weren’t told about it?” I asked. “Yeah, we’re all in Gryffindor, though.” By now the feast had started, and there was a pile of food on my plate. “Our Headmistress thought it more interesting and exciting for us to find out when we got here.” She chuckled. “So basically I only know what I’ve read about this place, to be honest, I haven’t read very much.” “I’ll show you around, and I can tell you all about it.” I grinned. She was the type of person that was easy to be around. “I’ll remember that.” “Remus can tell you about all the boring stuff, though.” I smirked at him, and I could see him shaking his head. |

Haha i was just listening to Forever the Sickest Kids' 'She's a Lady' and it totally reminded me of Kyla haha...well only the beginning really fits but seriously here it is "I'm in love with the girl I hate She enjoys pointing out every bad thing about me. I'm in love with a critic and a skeptic, a traitor I'd trade her in a second. The feast was the same as always, really. I was flirting with the girl next to me, James was trying to get Lily’s attention and Peter was stuffing his face. The usual. “Do you want to show me around now?” Clarisa asked, giving me a smile. “After the feast, I mean.” “Oh, sure.” I grinned at her. “Great. I should go and find Sasha now, but come get me when the feast is over.” Clarissa stood up, and walked down the table. She just wasn't like any of the other girls I knew. I liked it. “Sirius,” Remus sighed, looking at me. “You really shouldn’t.” He said. I rolled my eyes. He was being so... Remus. I pretended to yawn. “Nothing’s going to happen.” I said, grinning at James. “There are all these girls, James. Don’t let them all get taken.” “I could get any of those girls. Easy.” He said, his ego getting the better of him, as I knew it would. “Really?” I asked, in a purposely doubtful tone. I knew he could. “If you say so,” I shrugged. I had to keep the smirk off my face, as James got defiant. “Yes, I could in a day and it wouldn’t even be hard.” He said, smirking. “Is that a bet, James?” I asked. I could see that he liked Lily so much; he wasn’t going to ask a girl to go to the ball with him by himself. I was being a good friend. “Sure. It’s your money, anyway.” James couldn’t turn down a bet. He was far too competitive. “5 galleons?” “Deal.” |
The feast went by quickly, and I was rather satisfied. James and me had made an entrance, as we always did. The food tasted better then it ever had, and I had the feeling that James would have a date. It’d been a good night. I said goodbye to James, Remus and Peter who were all going to the Gryffindor common room, and found Clarisa in the Entrance Hall. “Hey,” she smiled. “Where do you want to go?” I asked, noticing her looking around the entrance hall with interest. “Lets just walk around.” Clarisa said. “It's really cool here.” I chuckled, and started walking. I was really paying much attention to where, really. I liked talking to Clarisa. But being around a really pretty girl like her, usually felt different. This was more like when I was laughing with Andromeda. Just joking around. “Soooo, is Adriana your girlfriend?” Clarisa asked. “No way.” I answered, and chuckled. The thought of that just seemed strange to me. “That would never happen.” “Why are you going to the ball with her, then?” Clarisa asked. “Why wouldn’t I? She’s gorgeous.” I said, with a grin. She didn’t seem to find it very amusing, though. I didn’t see why. She rolled her eyes. “Couldn’t you do better? Find a girl that you actually like, say?” “What do you mean?” I asked, running my hand through my hair. Everyone had gone off to their common rooms now, so it was pretty quiet apart from us. “You know, like a friend. Or someone you’d actually want to be your girlfriend.” Clarisa said. “Like who?” I said. “I don’t know. I’ve only just met you, I don’t know who you like.” Clarisa smiled. “I don’t like anyone. I’m not smitten.” I said defensively. “Everyone says that. But I bet there’s someone.” She said, and grinned. “Hogwarts is really cool." I was about to reply, but stopped, hearing someone's voice. "Hey! What are you doing?" The boy came closer, and I grinned when I saw who it was. Aaron Waters. His shiny prefects badge was on his chest, but he smiled and chuckled softly when he saw it was me. "I should've guessed that it would be Sirius and J-" He stopped, realising that it wasn't James who I was with. "Hey Aaron." I said. He was your average Ravenclaw, but he always let James and me off. "This is Clarisa." I said. "I was just making sure that she wouldn't get lost." "Of course you were." |

Great posts. I've been watching for you to post and find that you've posted twice. Thank you so much. Well, my opinion on the Clarissa issue is that she sounds like a sly fox, and I hope Serius doesn't get tangled up in some trouble. Watching for more. :) |
