“It’s so typical of you, Sirius. Using a pretty exchange student as your excuse for being out so late.” But Aaron said this with a small smile. “That hurts, Aaron! Thinking so little of me.” I said. “Surprising, isn’t it? Who could possibly think bad of you, Sirius?” Aaron said. Clarisa watched them, amused. But she looked at Aaron and smiled at him. “You think I’m pretty?” She grinned. I laughed when Aaron didn’t even look embarrassed. He wasn’t on to be easily bothered or embarrassed, but he also found a way to always tell the truth, and still be really nice. “I tell the truth.” He said. “You two should go back to your common room, though. Before someone more responsible then me come along.” Aaron chuckled. “Yes Sir.” I said, smirking. “Wouldn’t want to get you in trouble, either, would we?” The boy was quite used to my teasing, and he simply rolled his eyes. When we were walking up the steps, I looked at Clarisa. “Why do girls do that?” I asked, running my hand through my hair. “What?” She asked, a bit confused. “You know, when they’re complimented they act as if they don’t know it already, when they do.” It didn’t make sense. “Oh.” Clarisa chuckled, smiling. “I’m not really surprised you don’t really get it.” She said, “What’s that mean?” I asked, raising my eyebrow. She didn’t say it in a mean way, or anything, but she seemed to be inferring something. “It’s just that you’re complimented all the time, you’re used to it and you just take it in your stride because it’s just normal to you, but it doesn’t make a difference to you anyway. Girls always like being told they look nice.” I shook my head – I still didn’t get it. “Don’t worry about it.” Clarisa said. “I wasn’t planning on it.” I said with a chuckle. I had more important things to think about then the complex minds of girls – like food, pranks, and flirting with girls. We were at the common room before long, and I grinned at Clarisa. “Welcome, to Gryffindor.” |
The complex mind of girls... ah, if only Sirius knew... he'd go running. :xd: PAMS, as always! |

This post was really cute. I enjoyed reading it very much, just as I enjoy the whole story. I'll be watching for your next post. |
Like usual, I was roughly woken up, but for once, it wasn’t because of James. I rolled over, halfway between asleep and awake, and fell off of the side of my bed. Onto the floor. James was only just awake, and he burst into laughter. “Shut up.” I muttered, pushing myself off of the ground. “At least I don’t talk in my sleep.” I said with a smirk that James didn’t see. “What? What do you mean? What did I say?” James demanded, little did he know that I was making it up. “I’m sure you know.” I said, getting changed into my robes. “Tell meeeeeeeeeeee.” James moaned, childishly. I couldn’t hold in my laugh, now. It was just too funny. Sadly James realised that I was making it up. “Hmph.” He muttered, getting changed, too. “Have you two got dress robes yet?” Remus asked who was, predictably, already ready before we woke up, and had a book in his hands. “Huh?” James asked, with a confused face. Remus sighed exasperatedly. “Dress Robes. The ball. Dancing.” I knew he used small words because we were both slower in the morning. “Ohhhhhh. No.” James said, with realisation. “Me neither.” I said, and Remus looked at us. “I really have to organise your whole lives, don’t I? It’s in two days and it’s Monday.” He said. “You are planning on going, aren’t you?” “Don’t worry, we’ll just go today.” I said, and looked at James with a grin. “I don’t really feel like History, or Potions, or Transfiguration, or – anything.” “I’m in.” James agreed, running his hand through his messy hair. “Hey, we could get some stuff to have a party tonight, too.” He said. “In the room of requirement, then we can have all the exchange students come.” I stared at him. “This is why I have you. That is such a good idea.” I smirked at my best friend. “I am the brains.” James smirk matched mine. “And I’m the looks.” I replied. “I don’t even know why I bother.” Remus said. “I’ll see you at dinner.” He said, knowing that we would spend the day at Hogsmeade. But there was no way we’d miss dinner at Hogwarts. |
I am so happy you posted! And a great post at that! I love this line! Quote:

More, as promised. It's not very much, but I'll try update soon. After breakfast I walked with James and everyone else out of the great hall, but we weren’t going to class. It just happened that Lily Evans had transfiguration, as would we, if we were going to class. “Oi, Evans!” James called out. I rolled my eyes. “Don’t ask her. Or... Just don’t.” I didn’t understand girls, but I did understand James, and I knew what Lily was like. If he asked Lily to go to the ball with him or to go out with him every day, she’d always say no. Surprisingly, he listened. “What, Potter?” She asked in her usual irritated way. Lily expected him to ask her the same question, again. “Hey Evans.” He smiled. “I was wondering-” “No James. How many times do you have ask?” She interrupted him. “We invite everyone to our parties. If you don’t want to come, don’t.” James said with a shrug. “Oh.” Lily said, sounding like she didn’t know what else to say. “I’ve got work to do, so I probably won’t come.” Lily said politely. I wondered how truthful she was being. I saw James’ slightly disappointed look. “Your loss, Lils.” I said, giving James a grin. “It’s going to be so fun, and cultural.” I chuckled. “Wouldn’t wanna miss the chance to meet some of the exchange students, would you?” “Maybe I’ll think about it.” Lily said, and she even smiled. “I need to get to class. Bye.” She smiled looking at James, and walked away to class. “Lets go,” James said cheerfully. He seemed very confident now that Lily would come. I went quickly, eager to get to honeydukes. The first hogsmeade trip was this coming weekend, and I wanted to stock up on lots of sweets before then. As well as getting things for the party, of course. We went to honeydukes first, and the shop keeper wasn’t surprised to see us, despite it not even being the weekend. They were used to us coming all the time. |
Lily SMILED at Prongs? *ahem* Short update, but definitely sweet. PAMS! xD |
This melted my heart. Quote:
