Hi everyone! If you can't tell, this is written from the point of view of Rose Weasley, the oldest child of Ron and Hermione. The prologue, here, is taken from the epilogue of DH. Harry Potter and the world he lives in are not property of me; they are J K Rowling's... So yeah.

Prologue

We arrive, finally, after a long drive in the car and anxiously finding our way to Platform 9 ¾. A voice comes out of the mist surrounding us.
“I think that’s them, Al.” Aunt Ginny! The faces of my aunt, uncle, and cousins come into view. “Hi,” says Al. He seems quite relieved to have found us. I know I am relieved to find him! I smile at him.
“Parked all right then?” Dad asks Uncle Harry. My mind wanders as they continue to talk. I get help from Mum to lift my trunk, filled with brand new schoolbooks and robes, onto the carriage. Back at the platform, we find Hugo and Lily, talking about houses. Gah! Why houses! Sure, just make me even more nervous.
“If you’re not in Gryffindor, we’ll disinherit you,” says Dad, “but no pressure.” “Ron!” I really hope he is joking. He probably is, since Lily and Hugo laugh, but neither Al nor I do.
“He doesn’t mean it,” says Mum, but by this time Dad is busy looking at a man with blond hair, wearing a black coat buttoned up his neck. Next to him stand a woman and a boy who looks just like him. I take this to be Dad’s worst enemy at school, the one he always refers to as ‘that git, Draco Malfoy.”
“So that’s little Scorpius,” whispers Dad. “Make sure you beat him in every test, Rosie. Thank God you inherited your mother’s brains,”
“Ron, for heaven’s sake,” says Mum, stern but with a hint of amusement in her voice, “Don’t try to turn them against each other before they even start school!”
“You’re right, sorry,” says Dad, but he adds, “Don’t get too friendly with him though, Rosie. Grandad Weasley would never forgive you if you married a pureblood.” I blush furiously, but nobody notices since James reappears, going on and on about how Teddy Lupin had been kissing our cousin, Victoire. Well, I think it is a good thing that they had finally expressed their feelings toward each other, even if it is a bit awkward. I hug Mum and Dad and they, in the case of Mum, tearfully, say goodbye. Albus says something to Uncle Harry, and finally we enter the carriage as James rushes off to be with his second-year friends. Everyone seems to be looking at us! It must not be just me, because Al comments,
“Why are they all staring ?” We are looking at the other students, or at least trying to.
“Don’t let it worry you,” says Dad. “It’s me. I’m extremely famous.” We all burst into laughter. The train begins to move, and Mum and Dad wave and so do I. Excited and nervous, I am ready to begin my first year at Hogwarts.

I know I must do it. I must show no remorse. “Avada Kedavra!” The dead body falls to the ground with a thump, muffled by the thick carpeting. There. Now he is dead, the rest should be easy. Soon I will rule the world. I’ll have to conquer all the wizarding schools, though. Starting with Hogwarts...

Chapter One
The boats stop when we get to the castle. Just as Mum and Dad described, it is amazing. It looms above the horizon, taking up the entire sky so I can only see a few of the brightly shining stars. I climb out of the boat along with Al. As soon as we enter the castle with the rest of the students, we hear the cheerful banter of friends meeting up after a long summer.
“You nervous?” Al whispers to me.
“A bit. I’d better be in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, though.”
“You’d better be in Gryffindor,” he responds. “I don’t want to be alone!”

Now that I am rid of the last person in the way to having the Minister under an Imperious Curse, I will soon have the Ministry of Magic... In South Africa, that is. What I really need is England... but Hogwarts if still far too strong. I have infiltrated, though. Soon enough, we will take them from the inside. I have planted two spies- a teacher and a student. They will bring down the Potter and the Weasley children, and the staff... Soon I will be able to attack. Soon.

I am laughing as we enter the castle. He wants me to take over this school? He wants me to get rid of them? This will be a piece of cake. Look- they’re nervous! Nervous about the Sorting! How cute! I stifle a giggle. I should be blending in... I try to look like a scared little girl who is in awe of Hogwarts, but I fail. Badly. Before I fall over laughing, I compose myself. This isn’t just training, this isn’t something silly. This is for my Master. I take a deep breath and go to find the other spy. A teacher. I wonder which?

I sigh when I look through a window and see the laughing girl outside the castle. Master told me the other spy would be inexperienced, but I never expected someone this silly. Maybe it’s just a front- but no. She should be excited and awed, not doubled over in laughter. I can only hope nobody notices her. In the meantime, I have papers to organize... I have to keep up my role as a DADA teacher.

Oh gosh! For a second I thought the spy was going to be Scorpius Malfoy and I was like 'NOOOOOOOO' but then you said it was a girl

For anyone who's reading this, sorry for the lack of posts, I went vacation and then found out that there was no internet! So I'll be updating again REALLY soon.

Yay! Finally! All done! And it’s kinda sorta long-ish! (not really)

A woman, probably a professor, brings us into a large room. She calls for everyone to stop whispering.
“First years! Quiet please! Now, in a few moments you will be called into the Great Hall to be Sorted. Please take a moment to look presentable,” Her gaze lingers on Jason Longbottom, who’s buttoned his cloak wrong, skipping the first and third. Scorpius Malfoy smirks at this, and I see Al glaring at him.
“Now. I hope you are all ready to be Sorted. Please wait for the door to open before attempting to enter the Great Hall.” The professor leaves through a side door. Immediately, chatter starts up. Lorcan and Lysander Lovegood walk up to us. They are, of course, finishing each others’ sentences again.
“Hi Rose-”
“-and Al.”
“How are-”
“-you today?”
“Fine, thanks,” we respond, almost in unison. “And you?” I ask. I kind-of-glare at Al. Even if the twins are quite annoying sometimes, he could at least try to be polite.
“Wonderful!” (In unison)
“Mum’s positive-”
“-she found a Crumple-Horned Snorkak this time-”
“-and not another poser.”
“That’s… great!” I respond, trying to smile and not act like they’re crazy, while getting away at the same time. Mum was right- the Lovegoods are nice, but they really ought to figure out what’s real and what’s not! Apparently Luna and Xenophilious were like Lorcan and Lysander too.
As the twins walk away, I realize that there are faint voices coming from the other side of the far wall, getting louder and louder. Suddenly, a figure bursts through the wall. Dressed in brightly coloured clothes, the poltergeist swoops over the students.
“Oooh, Ickle Firsties!” he cackles. With no warning, he suddenly dives down and trips a random student. I sigh, realizing who this is. Peeves. Uncle George always says that he’s just having some fun, but Mum told me to watch out.

As I tune out the professor blabbing on about boring first-year stuff, I look around at who there is. A boy with white-blond hair and a pale, pointed face catches my eye. A Malfoy. He’d probably help me- but of course I can’t tell him what’s going on. Master would kill me if I did that. Literally. Dead. I’ve seen it happen.
I slowly sidle up to the Malfoy, and whisper to him.
“Hey. You. Yeah, you. Malfoy. You gonna be in Slytherin?”
“I-I’m not sure. Maybe. Dad was, and Grandad, and all the others…” Indecisive. Not good. I need someone who’ll know that they’re going to land in Slytherin. I look around for some other familiar faces.

I need something to kill. I’m getting nervous. What if the spies have been found out? What if they didn’t make it to Hogwarts? Getting Rose Weasley and Albus Potter is crucial to my plans. If only… I pace back and forth. If only I had a broom. Flying always helped me get out some anxiety.

Okay, so here’s the last part of Chapter One, and I’ll get going on Chapter Two ASAP!!!

The hall is filled with applause as the Sorting Hat finishes its song. I stare numbly ahead as first year after first year is sorted. I don’t really notice anyone from Abbot to Lloyd, but I do look up at “Malfoy, Scorpius!” Scorpius… there’s been a long legacy of Weasleys hating Malfoys- Grandad hates Lucius, Dad hates Draco- but somehow Scorpius doesn’t seem that bad. I’m sure he’ll be a Slytherin, though, they always are.
“RAVENCLAW!” shouts the hat, leaving me extremely surprised. There must be a mistake- Malfoy can’t be a Ravenclaw! That’s… well, crazy! Maybe, just maybe, Scorpius really isn’t that bad!
“McCoy, Dominique!” is called up, and sorted into Hufflepuff, and I’m lost in thought again until “Potter, Albus!” begins walking up to the Sorting Hat. I wait, holding my breath slightly… “GRYFFINDOR!”and let it out. Good for Al! He got what he wanted! Now I just have to wait to see what I get… As the queue of first years gets smaller and smaller, I wonder why on earth Weasley has to start with a W, it means I have to wait so long!
“Weasley, Rose!” In a daze, I walk up to the hat, sit down, and put it on my head. I hear it talking to me, but hope that the rest of the hall doesn’t hear.
“Another Weasley, eh? But different, this one… Plenty of intelligence, I see, and lacking a bit in the bravery department…” This makes me blush a bit- spiders are scarier than you’d think! – and the hat continues to ponder for what feels like forever, before finally shouting “RAVENCLAW!”

Well. Malfoy obviously won’t be any help! As the professor calls my name, “Zane, Talia!” I’m not nervous at all. And I’m right not to be- the second the hat touches my head, it shouts “SLYTHERIN!” Sitting down at the table, I look around at my fellow Slytherins and decide which first year seems the most likely to let me control him or her… my gaze pauses on Gregory Goyle Jr.
I’ve got myself a sidekick.

Okay, don’t tell Dad, but I’m actually kinda sorta somewhat glad to be a Ravenclaw. I mean, I was never the way he was, or Mum. They were all in with the pure blood thing, but me? I really don’t care. And plus, Rose is in Ravenclaw… but that doesn’t matter, of course that didn’t matter! What matters is how much trouble I’ll be in when Mum and Dad find out… At least I don’t have to be in the same house as Potter… that would be impossible. At least I’m not a Gryffindor.
