Monday

So it has been a few months since Coral's funeral. It still hurts you know, but I think this has been a better time with Egypt with me. We actually have gotten closer in the past few months. I can't even stand to look at my mother right now. She had showered me with gifts and presents. Like that makes up for the fact that she signed off on the murder of my best friend! Because she wanted to be with muggles! It want to scream and hex or something, but she is a nasty piece of work and I don't think for a second she wouldn't kill me or something. I feel like she ripped my heart out and fed it to a hippogriff or something. At least she let me keep Coral's things that her mother sent to me. My dad had to step in though, she was going to make me throw them away! Coral has some interesting things in there. I can't decipher her diary though. She has some sort of letter form a school called Hogwarts, and she was going to go to school there. I have to go to the library and read more about this school. It sounds wonderful.

Saturday

Ok so my mom chewed me out about going to the library to get some information on Hogwarts. That was a total brain fart on my part to even do that, but I am scared to go over the wall again. Plus they've added extra patrols and security since they caught Coral. And of course Egypt is about to lay an egg worrying about me getting caught if I go over the wall. I am about to go stir crazy though. When I went to the muggle parts of Accra it was so much fun. I just can't understand why we have to live like this.

I did find out that Hogwarts is in Great Britain, and that does bother me a little, but Egypt said Great Britain isn't like it used to be. I don't know Europeans just leave a bad taste in my mouth. Look at the mess they left in South Africa, I mean thankfully Ghana was able to become independent without fighting. Gah! Don't get me started on all that, it will just upset me. Leaving here and going anywhere will be an improvement. At least I will be able to choose who I want to be around and not have to deal with this segregation stuff.

Monday 2 months later

Well a lot has changed since I was last able to write in here. Me and Egypt and then to my utter surprise my sister India, all of us ran away from home! We packed up our bags and we were sneaking out of the palace and we waited for the guards to switch and then we were gone. It was so great I mean I felt like drums were going off in my ears and my heart was about to explode! After we left we hopped on a carpet and we were off to London. Do you know the British don't use carpets anymore! How absurdly odd. Some of them actually travel by broom! Brooms are only good for Quidditch! But we made it here alright and India found us a flat to live in while we all get settled.
